So there are a couple of battles that are done and a couple of battles that are pretty close to beind one. I've talked to a few people about this tournament and they're ready to continue the tournament.
The Beginner's Cup lasted until the last couple rounds before dieing off, and this one hasn't even finished the first, and that really bites. I'd like to see an actual winner for the tournament, maybe some PRP prizes given out to the top three contenders, or at least the overall winner, but that won't happen if we just sit here and let it die.
So, if you're in the tournament and your battle hasn't finished, then I ask that you do what you can to finish them. I know finals are coming up for some of us and that that takes priority, but I'd really like to see the second round begin before too much longer. (Lee, if possible, I'd like to at least set up the pairings for the next round.)

Shadow wants to as well. I'd kinda like to too. If no one else wants to, then the three of us will do it.
I think Black Cat wanted to too. If she still does, then we can continue easily enough.

I was knocked out, and thus don't have any say in what my character would do.
Let's see: Shoni vs. Kevin: Shoni wins. Shoni's active enough as long as he knows we resumed. Me vs. Cat: Cat wins. Again, active enough if she knows we've started again. Tim vs. Yoshi: Tim won, and he's up for this. Kevin vs. DL: Kevin won, but needs to finish the topic with an attack. BB vs. El: El won, but somebody needs to finish the fight. Photu vs. Lone: Lone won. Photu should probably cap it with a finishing post, tho'. Iron Mouse vs. Blood: Blood won. DL vs. SV: Uh, I dunno. Both people are moderately active, but they NEED TO FINISH THEIR BATTLE. So yeah, if people don't finish their matches in the next week or so, Blood, I give you permission to auto decide/conclude their matches. I'll give you a hand with 'em, too. We've got four battles to "Finish", so we each can take two.
The only question is who we want going ahead: DL or SV?

I'll knock up posts to finish off both of the fights I'm in.

Awesome. Right now it's mostly a matter of figuring out who's against who. Unless someone knows and I don't >.>

I guess I can finish the fight that I'm in too, it never really took off... but ehh... lol. I'll be excited to have this continue, as I've been inspired by a series of books I've been reading lately.

So I've been watching the post dates on stuff on this board...and nothing has really moved. What's up?

I'd love for it to, I don't like hosting somn and seeing it die, but no one sticks around long enough to actually see it start up again. I've tried a good half dozen times to revive this, but no one ever seems to want to pick it up again.

I'm guessing we could actually resume this, provided Blood lights a fire under Black Cat and Lone, and Tim gets Kevin back onboard. El, Blood, Tim, and SV are all present now, and Shoni starts his summer break in like two weeks, tops.
So if we earnestly wanted to get this going again, this could be started up within a week or two.
If we do, however, I'm going to make a rule, going forwards: Somebody's gotta finish each battle. It sits ill with me to have a lot of the DQs involve... the battle ending without explanation. So basically, just want to say that by resuming this, we're pretty much saying that either the winner or a host will step in and provide/auto a concluding post if the loser doesn't conclude things themselves.

I had seen Tim on the boards the other day and asked him to bookmark the site so I could log in. Thankfully, after numerous failed attempts to log in trying to remember my username and password -- I was able to log in using Facebook.
I am ready to get this rolling again, and hopefully I am able to stay interested long enough to see this through.

Cat has no interest in rejoining, last I talked to her. Nor do I think she'll have changed. Also, she's too busy with ShitIII to bother with something else, except maybe setting up an idol to Blizzard.

Well, we could just say that participants decided to leave, I guess? Or we could do something else?

Well, we could do it a couple different ways.
1) In the case of BlackCat, if she won't come back (I'll give her the option) then we could let someone else take over her character for the duration of the tournament.
2) Instead of just having them leave we could have them get outraged. Perhaps they were misled into thinking the tournament was something it isn't, or that they weren't properly matched up and leave in a huff. It sounds better than the other option we have.
3) The tournament changes the rules. For whatever reason, the tourny drops people, probably to speed it up. Granted, that's ultimately what we'd be doing anyway

For option 2, you could just say that each match had a fifteen minute limit for the second battler to turn up and those who are inactive missed their 15 minutes so the other person won by default.
As far as continuing this goes, I think it'd be easier to just start up a new tournament or something. I'm gonna drop out anyway 'cause of my many irons in the fire.

Honestly, I'm opposed to new PRP tournaments. It seems we can never finish a single bloody one, and people seem to only have a passing interest in them, that's part of why this has failed to be revived at least twice that I can think of. I've gotten people into it briefly, and then it just flopped back over with it's legs twitching in the air.

Why don't we do the time limit idea, it seemed to work, and will provide a good excuse to get the ball rolling again.
