So I got TF2 a couple days ago and it's pretty baller. If anyone else has it, we should totally frag each other and eat sandviches. I don't have a mic.
My steam-name is ch00beh. Obviously.

Overall the usual trend is that if I haven't played a video game I'm okay with not having played that video game, but holy shit Team Fortress 2 is the one first-person shooter I have ever lusted after. It's not even so much the gameplay that entices me, even though I hear that's hella fun, but the characters. They are so rad.
EDIT: The art style too. Which contributes to the radness of the characters.

I fucking love the "Meet the" videos. Especially "Meet the Spy".
And that blog entry was awesome.

Meet the Spy was really well done but I kind of wish it stuck with the interview format that the other guys went with. Wouldn't have been as dynamic and entertaining, though. And probably wouldn't have been able to fit in the best 'your mother' joke fact ever.

You cannot interview a spy. He will tell you nothing.

I take that back. I wish the other Meet the Team videos were mini-stories like the Spy one. Kinda like the Scout's story of obtaining a sandvich.

I also wish they'd ever gotten around to making "Meet the Medic" and "Meet the Pyro".

Meet the Pyro vid would be something along the lines of:
"Hmph mrr mrr rm hmph."
*fwoooooooooosh*
"hmmm hmmm hmmm hmm!"

I know it is easy to imagine but the completist in me (which is to say "I") want it anyway.

Valve doesn't finish things. It has been 2 1/2 years since HL2: Episode 2 and all anyone's seen of Episode 3 is concept art. To be fair, I still haven't finished HL2. Or played HL1.
I think I'll play some TF2 real quick so I can remember what classes I liked.
EDIT: Steam name is jmodum90
Obviously.
EDIT 2: I like Heavy, Medic, Scout, and Demoman. Heavy + Medic is a pretty dope combo on most maps. Ãœbercharge is sik.

I actually just got TF2 but this internet is way too shitty to play online and I haven't tested it to see how it'd run on this thing.
I'll be back on my desktop in 2 months though so whatever.

Steam is amazing, not only does it have an awesome library of games, it lets you add non steam games to your game library. Once I found that out I dumped every game I had in there so I could sort them all into category's and have one place to launch them all from. This is what my steam list looks like so far.
Adventure - Desktop Dungeons Diablo II Lord of Destruction Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
FPS - Portal Left 4 Dead 2 Borderlands Team Fortress 2
MMO - Rift Beta World of Warcraft Allods Online DC Universe Online
Strategy - League of Legends Starcraft 2
What? - Plain Sight Super Meaty Boy
After all that I have a hidden folder of games called Z-meh, that are just crap free games. Weren't that good or just don't like anymore.
If you guys wanna add me I am bulbshamuu on steam. Usually though I really only play games from MMO and Strategy. Right now that's DCUO and LoL sometimes SC2.

Someday, I would dearly love to kill Steam and put something similar to it into place, but doesn't require it to play games.

Someday, I would dearly love to kill Steam and put something similar to it into place, but doesn't require it to play games. Then why don't you just make this new program and leave Steam alone since there are some of us who realize how awesome it is and actually like it. However, if you mean you want to play your games but don't always have internet and you think you need to be able to connect to the Steam Network to play then you are wrong. Just set it up to play in Offline Mode. {Edit: You would obviously need internet for any multi-player games.} I like it when it crashes for no reason! You might try making sure all the drivers are up to date that Steam requires and uses. I have never had Steam crash on me. I didn't know it could crash.

All my drivers are up to date, but it might just be my shitty connection causing it to crash.

Except, ya know, the whole installation thing. I kinda hate SCII for the same reason. It's not like it reduces piracy or anything, heck I have friends who have pirated a lot of games that require this kinda crap.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "installation thing"
Hum...
Yeah, still not getting ya.
