Nowe and Ragnar flew high over earth, the land below them whipping by as they rode the jet streams. Sensing the currents of humanity, the spikes of ups and downs in emotions that smote them as they went about their everyday lives and time passed. Blissfully ignorant of the supernatural, or simply unwilling to agnowledge it as a reality. It was the closest Nowe ever came to touching normal humanity, the dragon child who cared for all and was accepted by no one at all, accept, of corse, the dragon who was his pact beast, Ragnar. Ragnar was a beast of hate, and he burned below Nowe. He wanted to destroy, to set flames and burn the world to ash, but Nowe tempered Ragnar as they flew, his inability to hate lessening Ragnar's hatred, quenching his fire and his fury. So they flew free, high above the lands, as time passed and things changed and they never touched the ground. "We've been in the air for month's Ragnar, it seems as though we could fly forever onwards and never again touch the ground." "Yes Nowe, I believe we could fly forever if we wanted to, but your justice wishes to touch the ground once more doesn't it Nowe? Through me you sense the thoughts of the people, and you know as well as I that we now have a problem." "Your right Ragnar, their is hatred all around. People are being forced to accept the existance of the supernatural, and they are suddenly scared, backed into a corner and hating their captors. They will kill soon, they will find a way to kill all of the greater factions. They will slay the summoners and the patrons of cherrygrove. You know I cannot allow this." "And once again we must desend to to sow chaos and destruction across the land, and turn our enemies to ash. Oh Nowe, their is such compassion in you, and you cling to your justice as you search for your lost self. Why must you force yourself to destroy when it hurts you so?" "Lets go Ragnar." Nowe evaded further probing questions from Ragnar, as a small faction decided it was time, and launched an attack on Cherrygrove. Several building's exploded, glass, smoke and flame filling the air. The smell of burnt flesh, hair, and roasting meat filling the air. The factions people ran through the streets, a small ground wielding machine pistols, bearing vests with the legend 'Pure Sphere', with a picture of a white earth on them. People were shot and gutted, and the actual supernatural patrons of Cherrygrove remained unharmed. It seemed as though their only objective was to kill everything in Cherrygrove, to purify it all and return its contaminated patrons to the great ether. Ragnar landed in the middle of a long street, in which the Pure Sphere residents killed and maimed as many as they could. He dropped off Ragnar, and pulled his two short sword from his back. Ragnar took off, to take care of a larger area of enemies. It rained flame down upon the Pure Sphere factionists, and down on the ground, Nowe tore through them with feline grace and unspoken fury. His features drew together in a scowl of consentration, his features a mask of red, and Pure Sphere began to talk of the red demon as they were forced back. Ragnar tore their war engines to shreds as the drove themselves into Cherrygrove, and through Nowe took many wounds, he also, prevailed in his endevors. Their ground forces torn to shreds by his greater speed and feral instincts, the teachings of the dragon's speaking as he slaughtered Pure Sphere like so many cattle. Fine they retreated, and those who had wished to stay lie dead before Nowe and Ragnar, and Nowe cleaned his sword and Ragnar feasted, Nowe spoke solem words to himself.
"More will come."

"Let them, my fists will be the last thing they see." A bitter voice came from behind Nowe. A teenager with shimmering silver hair and striking eyes of the same coloured stepped forward to stand beside the dragon child. "Cherrygrove will not fall easily, you can count on that."
Nowe turned to look at the boy beside him. His clothes were obviously that of a warrior, light materials made for easy movement. The way he carried himself, the passion and fire in his eyes told the story of a battle hardened young man.
"A fire user..." Nowe said looking the boy over, it wasn't hard to tell after all an understanding of fire and those that used it was in his blood.
"Good observation, my name's Six." The boy said extending a hand to his fellow warrior.
"Nowe." he said simply, shaking Six's hand.

"Good to meet you Six. You got a place we can go to? This'll probably be on the news in a few minutes, and I could use something to drink." He said. Ragnar landed behind him with a crash. "I've taken care of the vermin Nowe, I go now to hunt, I need something meaty to wash the taste of human flesh from my maw."

Janus landed gracefully in front of Six and Nowe, guns held in front of him, aiming at a few humans that weren’t caught in the massacre. He shot twice, two bullets penetrating two foreheads, killing two humans instantly. The vampire holstered his guns and drew out an Aikuchi sword. He flicked on the speed, almost if as he had teleported and appeared next to the last human that was approaching. He swung his blade quickly, but surprisingly it was met with a short sword, strange for a mortal they usual used automatic weapons; one to be found with a sword was rare. Janus parried a few quick swings, and countered with a lunge to the gut; it met its mark and impaled the mortal. Janus pushed it in further, knocking the guy’s sword out his hands and stopped him struggling; once sure he was dead he withdrew and sheathed his sword somewhere in his black flowing robes. He walked across to the other two warriors.
“Nice day for some killing eh?” he asked smiling showing his fangs. “I’m Janus, that’s pronounced Jay-nus by the way.” He added.

Nowe suppressed a laughed at the odd sound of the name. "Come on, this isn't going to take long." He broke down a door to a nearby house, and flicked on the TV, changing it to the news channel. Nothing was really on it at the moment. Nowe went and raided the fridge, coming back out with bears and chucking them to everyone present, putting a few more in the fridge for anyone else who might show up. They all settled in to wait, and were rewarded about an hour later.
"This is a special news report. A shocking event has occured today, as the super human element in cherrygrove unexpectedly turned against its own citizens, and set the town aflame." Panning shots followed, showing the burning town, as well as Ragnar above throwing down fire, and Nowe in the streets killing the Pure Sphere members, who's emblems seemed to have been editted out. "The administrators of japan have called on help from several other countries to help suppress this inhuman element. And many other nations are imposing harsh measures on their elements of super humanity. A world curfew of 7PM is now to be enforced, anyone caught outside after that time will be captured for interrogation." "Ah hell." Nowe said. "I guess they've got the media in their pockets, as well as a good deal of the government." He looked around. "Looks like I'm a wanted man as well. So are you, since your both inhabitents of cherrygrove, or your here at least. This is gonna be bad."

“Bad?” asked Janus. “No way, this is where the fun begins,” he chucked to himself. He rearranged his robes, and brushed black hair out of his eyes before walking to the window. He looked out onto the charred streets of Cherrygrove. Observing a small group of anti-super humans, he smirked and withdrew from somewhere in his robes his katana.
“A group is assembling around the house; they know we are here,” Janus explained, “Probably around thirty of them,” he added, and with that Janus strode out the door, to meet them.
He was ambushed as soon as he stepped out, but his vampire agility helping him dodge with ease, he swung his katana through the air, cutting the attackers arm off. He met the next head on, he jumped and spun three hundred and sixty degrees, leg extended and kicked the human in the face, his head swung back effectively breaking his neck. Janus called to the others.
“Come out and play.”

Nowe walked out of the house and sighed. "Mindless drones carrying out the will of your masters. Or perhaps something more vicious." He pulled out his swords. "You will taste my justice." He darted forwards and killed several people in an undefinable flash of activity. Ragnar dived down from above. "Nowe! Military forces are heading for Cherrygrove! And I don't doubt some airial forces are on the way as well!" "Oh hell, we have to get out of here!" He jumped up onto Ragnar's back. "You guys should come with if you want to live, not even we can survive if they drop a nuke on us!"

“They won’t drop one,” said Janus calmly, “Too many people at risk, they’ll probably just fire missiles at us, not that they’d hit me I’m cold blooded, they won’t be able to lock on,” he explained. “But I agree, we must flee, for now.” Janus added. He concentrated a little, and then his face contorted in pain, as two scaly wings sprouted upon his back. “Let us go,” he said, and with that he took flight.

"Fleeing is a very wise idea." There was the sound of a gust of wind blowing through trees, and the famous guardian of Cherrygrove himself appeared. Zebedee Taylor, hair dancing in the wind like reeds in a a gale, landed before the group. With a single gesture, he instantly removed twenty of the people from the Pure Sphere, banishing them off to some coastal rock that was not too far to return from, but not close enough for them to return to the battle. "You all don't understand what it means to have the gifts that we do."
Zebedee simply turned his back on the trio. "Leave here immediately. If you do not, you'll find yourself facing the truth of Cherrygrove's might along with these so-called human-purists." It was obvious that Zebedee had seen quite enough bloodshed, and was hoping to prevent any more of the kind.

"You, too, would stand against us? We, who have done nothing wrong?" A chilling voice asked. There was something about that voice, completely emotionless. However, it had a slightly deadly air to it, and it was clearly very confident. Its owner appeared out of the air, melting into sight.
He was a tall figure, with an average build, not hugely muscled, but no stick either. His messy, brown hair fell over his pale eyes, those crystal clear, deep eyes... He wore a light blue shirt, the top three buttons unbuttoned. His jeans were a dark blue colour, almost black, and had a clear shine to them. His boots used to be black, but they were more grey, worn. Araini ran his left hand through his hair, his right hand resting on the side of his belt, concealing something.
"I have never spoken to you, no," Araini continued. "However, over the past age, I have been honing my skills and practicing my powers. I should be enough of a match for you."
He lifted the thing he was concealing - a pair of bladed gauntlets. He strapped them to his hands, and stood very casually. "I am intervening in a situation that doesn't concern me," he thought to himself. "And I am defending a number of do-gooders from someone who vastly outpowers them. Who am I turning into?"

"You see, that's where you're wrong, whomever you may be." Zebedee said harshly, his voice gruff and tattered. "Those bodies lying all around, those are humans. They have lives. Souls. I don't care if they're evil. People can change. We're given a choice in everything that we do."
Zebedee looked at the group, his eyes blazing. "When you take this many lives, you're stooping to an equal level with them. And you understand what the killing does for the enemy, right? It fuels them, gives them more motivation. If you trap them, then you can use them."
Zebedee looked northwards, towards Violet. "I can't shelter you. The media's got me once with the Olivine Incident. Again, and I'll be exhiled." He simply shrugged. "This is what I must do in order to maintain the trust of the people. I've got to fight you all to undo the damage that those monsters did."

“And I will be helping you with that fight,” a disembodied voice announced. Aurora dropped down from, seemingly was thin air, landing next to Zebedee, his black robe as usual swaying in the wind.. Auro glanced at the vampire and sneered, Janus just smirked back. He drew his katana, and ‘lit’ his hand with an essence of pure black ice.
“Your odds were pretty bad before Zebedee, a little better now I think.” Auro smirked.

"Fighting with you will not return any of the lives lost here, siding with the enemy will only result in your own extinction, but we must all chose our own paths. You are not my enemy, I will not fight you, it is not just. I will fly to a safer place, and do my best to inflict little harm, but it will still happen, I won't let people try to kill people like us. That to, is not just. I'd rather die by the hand of my own people than watch them be exterminated." He looked around defiantly at them, who were prepared to fight. "Foolish. Lets go Ragnar." Ragnar took off with several mighty beats of his wings, and flew off into the sky. "Human's are cowards who will turn on eachother at any given moment." "I know Ragnar, some of them are, but it must be their decision."

"I have taken no lives today, if you wish to fight these people Zebedee I won't stand against you." Six turned from the group, his eyes looking over the carnage that surrounded them all. He agreed with Zebedee in some ways. It was true that these humans did not all deserve to die, not like this. Only one of pure heart such as the holy warrior could truly see the bigger picture. This wasn't just a fight where lives could be ended at the the combatents whim. There was more to it than that, these people weren't evil, just misguided. They truly believed that attacking the city, attempting to flush out those with powers was the right thing to do. Fighting was not the way to win, changing minds was. If Six was to stay and fight he'd be the real one in the wrong, not the Pure Sphere members. What they did was human nature, they saw what they thought was a problem and attempted to fix it.
"Nowe, I'm prepared to follow you." The fire user said whipping up his transportation, a swirling disc of black flames. He hopped on and prepared to go wherever Nowe lead him.

Zebedee nodded as they all gave their opinions. This was turning out better than he thought it would have. Still, he needed to show that he was going to fight them. Pose for the cameras, so to speak. He began trying to project his thoughts as best as a normal person could, hanging them out there for a psychic to grab, hopefully.
Let's just make it look good. I don't want to hurt anybody badly, I just want to keep the media out of our hair.
With that, he lunged at Araini, his racquet appearing from thin air in a shower of sparks. He made a swing for Araini's midriff, hoping to push him back.

Araini paused to think, through all their thoughts. What they were saying was, indeed, true. Maybe Zebedee was right, maybe they would change. However, humans were hardheaded and stubborn, or that's what Araini thought. All it takes is one person, one misguided person to do something drastic... To start a war... To launch an unnecessary attack... Anything. It was all triggered off again.
His thoughts were interrupted when Zebedee took the first move, launching a swipe at him. Instinctively, Araini had jumped back, but not as quickly as he would have done if he had been paying attention. The tennis racquet cut straight through his shirt, and left a small, shallow cut in his midriff. He uttered something incoherent, and raised his fists, ready to attack. With a small grunt, he ran, jumped and spun through the air, arms stretched to either side, small amounts of blood flying off his body. He was more like a bladed tornado than a spinning madman, and he was aimed right for Zebedee.

Zebedee raised his racquet immediately, hiding behind it as Araini attacked. Twenty-odd blows glanced off of the racquet, sending sparks flying into the air. Zebedee braced himself as best he could, but the ludicrous flurry was too much. His racquet was knocked aside, and Zebedee found himself open to attack. Zebedee tried to duck the swing, but was caught in the cheek by a powerful slash. It opened his cheek, spraying blood. Zebedee could only thank his lucky stars that the attack didn't go through his entire cheek, only cutting the outer skin.
He rolled back, and began focusing. A wave of kinetic force flew out in all directions, pushing everybody away from him by a step or two. Zebedee brought up his left arm, performing a palm thrust into the air. Instantly, a column of air surged forward like a freight train, barreling through anybody in front of Zebedee. The moment it passed his last foe, it dissolved into green sparks.
"We've already had quite enough demolition, guys."

Nowe sighed, a second later Ragnar landed right on top of Zebedee, pinning him down. "This is NOT the time to be fighting one another, and by continuing to fight, you are MAKING yourself my enemy. You will force me to pursue the justice you bring upon yourself. Now stop fighting, or I swear, I will kill you." He said. Ragnar growled menacingly, then stepped off of Zebedee. "That goes for the rest of you as well." He was distracted as a jet flew overhead, and he turned around to see a missile flying towards them. "Oh dear god, it is a nuke!" He yelled, Ragnar took off in a flash, speeding off towards Tokyo as fast as his wings could carry him, hoping Six would be able to outrun the blast. "God damn! Some seriously high up people are pissed off at us!"

Araini held his arms in front of his upper-chest and head, guarding against the kinetic blast as well as he could. It ripped clean through his clothes, cutting through his sleeves and ripping a small amount of skin away. Araini threw his arms out to either side, a shield raising itself in front of him, blocking the rest of the blast. It was just as well that Zebedee's attack ended when it did, as it had taken out the shield.
"Oh dear God, it's a nuke!"
Araini spun on the spot to see a missile rocketting through the sky, headed for the city. "Care to work together for this one?" Araini suggested, throwing his hands forwards. A beam shot from them, and cut straight through the air with a sinister crackle. It caught the nuke, covering it with a pale glow. Araini concentrated on the missile, and focused on slowing it down. Instantly, its engines died and it stopped moving. Araini looked up at it, and then t Zebedee.
"Getting rid of it would be a good idea. Unless you have a better one?"

"Indeed." Zebedee glared at the nuclear weapon, and snapped his fingers, instantly casting it into the void of distant space. He was strained by the efforts, but he didn't want to let it show. These people were beings of power, of strength possibly greater than his own when he only relied on his technology alone. He needed a strong front.
As the green sparks rained down, Zebedee turned away and stifled a cough. He noticed a bit of blood on his hand, and immediately teleported it away. He wasn't sure of if he had coughed it up, or if it had been from other wounds. But he certainly didn't wish to show any weakness. He turned again, to face Araini. "Sooo..." He touched the wound on his face, the blood and gash instantly vanishing.
"What say you?"
