The Ten Naginata's, most powerful of they're kind, have been guarded for centuries by the Red Dawn, a cult of liches eternally bound to they're santuary. Charged by both the Infernal and the Divine to guard the Naginata's for all eternity. The Infernal because the weapons were feared, the Divine because they thought humanity unworthy. The ten holy and unholy naginata.
Ki-Mori, the water blade. 1 1/2 foot blade, made entirely of water. Surging and moving, as though with both the tides of the sea, and all the rapids in the world combined. Below the uncertain devide between blade and shaft, a 6 foot compressed gold shaft, which glowed a faint yellow. Both tough and weak, amazingly fragile to the eye's, but incredablty feirce in combat. It stands alone, in the divide between the weakest and strongest of the Divine blades, buts its position only brings it an air of versitility and flexibility.
Bakuhatsu, the eternally burning blade. Benieth the flames, the shaft is ashwood, though it is impossible to tell the length, due to the constant bending of light around the blade. The blade is there, made up of shadow and mists, a furnace burning as eternally as the sun in the center of the fires. The Second Strongest of the Unholy Naginata's, it will only allow one it deems worthy to weild it.
Dasu, the void, the unbalancer. The blade that sends all back to creation. One each side of its polished, black iron blade are two holes, black as the darkest darkness. When the blade senses hostility from its owner, the holes in the blade begin to suck existance. The blade literally eats everything it touches, skin flesh and bone. The shaft is a good 9 feet long, composed of white oak and polished to a shine. It is the weakest of the Divine Blades.
Chikara, the divider in the unholy naginata's. The blade is etherial, as is the shaft, and cannot interact with anything in a physical plain exept with its master. However, because of its ability, that does not matter. This blade causes things to happen, as though a ghost were floating about the room. Spikes could burst forth from the ground, wind becomes a shield, earth encases the etherial blade. The masters merist gesture is this blades command. The Third Strongest of the Unholy Naginata's, Chikara, the Force of Death.
Kurushimi, The Torturer. Ever stroke of this blade is purest agony. One touched is a torture. A scratch on the cheek? All you nails have been pulled out. A Gash on the arm? It has been skinned alive. A stroke on your back? Your spinal cord has been severed, but not quite enough to save you from the pain. The greastest of the unholy blades, a red bronze shaft stretches 7 feet, and at each end, a wicked 3 foot long leaf like blade, waiting to bring you death. In slow, painful, ways.
Hinansho, The Haven. And I haven it truly is, merciful god, who hath judged men unworthy, but not sinful, made a choice. Instead of allowing those men(and women) to fade to nothingness, he gave them a home within this blade. All those who dwell within limbo dwell within this blade, waiting to be called out by they're worthy master, to deal sin in a world that deserves nothing less. A 5 foot long blade, and a five foot long shaft make up this Naginata, the hangle wrapped in white cloth. Both the blade and shaft are one piece, of the same shining steel. The second strongest of the divine blades.
Kujikukami, Shatter God. Second weakest of the divine blades, but perhaps also the strongest of all. This is only half of the full, double bladed naginata. A 5 foot shaft, and a 2 foot blade. The shaft made of oak, and the blade of silver. The Blade possesses the ability to shatter the reality around whatever it touches, basically 'undoing' the work that god did in the beginning.
Kujijuoni, Shattered Devil. The second weakest of the unholy blades. The second half of Kujikikami, possessing the ability to shatter any of satan's creations. A blade designed by evil to undo evil. The second half of a blade made to undo the works of good. Together, they make a different weapon altogether. The shaft is again, five feet, but the blade is not silver. Instead, the blade is made of bone and sinew fused together, with a small heart in the center, that beat powerfully none the less.
Togarasu, Everedge. Weakest of the unholy blades, but deadly none the less. Swing the blade, and it cut, not matter what direction you swung it in, it would always be the perfect angle, the perfect cut, the perfect stroke. The blade is white, and reaches to whatever length neded, it flashes in and out of existence, always there, but, as though unsure of its own existence. The shaft is a mere 3 feet, almost making it more of a mace or a septer than a naginata. Rose wood, and inlaid with gold, it shines with darkness.
Shiryokumatoto, True Sight. This Naginata will look deep into your soul, and if they're is even an ounce of evil there, it will destroy you, utterly. And even if they're isn't, its an incredably powerful conduit for Divine Energy, the greatest conspiracy between all the gods in existance. The greek and roman gods blessed it, the viking gods blessed it, god himself blessed it. Every angel from heaven came down to kiss the blade, and also shed a single tear, to give it its true sight. The one who holds this blade grows wings of an angel, a halo will sing the lamentations of the dead over his or her head, and no merely human man or woman could look at the naginata without being driven completely insane. The shaft, 16 feet long, was still as light as a feather, due to the fact that it was made from a very special wood. It was carved from a branch of the tree of life itself. And in its white gold blade, an unknown Arch Angel forever dwelled, the help the blade strike true, and guard its weilder. The Strongest of Divine Blades.

Diamond finished showing everyone in the room the diagram with a flourish. She'd been through quite a few bars, all over the world, looking for people crazy enough to come on this expedition with her. But nobody seemed all that keen really, the naginata's were dangerous, and that was if you ignored the liche presence. "So," She said, a little timidly, "Who wants to come?" She rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet anxiously, biting her lip.

Illiana stood up and adjusted her black leather gloves. These Naginatas had somehow gained her interested. Her own weapon, her spear, had a very natural feel to it and she had no doubts that she could easily wield a Naginata.
The Ki-Mori. Balanced perfectly, and with a blade of the oceans. She had to have it. There were no two ways around it. She would get that Naginata. "I shall come with you," she said, stepping fowards.

"Alright!" Diamond said, running over to hug the girl. "Finally!" She squiled. "If anyone else wants to come, I'm leaving a telepathic beacon behind, so you can follow us if you like, its not far from here anyways." She hung onto the girl tight, and teleported out of the bar.
And into a dank dungeon. "Alright!" She said enthusiastically, turning to shake her partners hand. "I'm Diamond, and I hope you know a lot about liches, nasty little buggers they are. Ok, so anyways. About 200 meters below us, they're are a whole LOT of liches. Nasty, undead, immortal wizards. A lot tougher than humans, just as smart as us, and just as aware. And, after thousands of years, most likely packed to the eyeballs with deadly spells and amusing enchantments." She grinned, and started hopping up and down like an exited teenager. (Which, of corse, she was.) "This is going to be fun!" She pushed her partner back against the wall. "Hold still, or you'll fall!" She blew the dust away, revealing a huge pentagon. She put her palm flat in the center. "Oh Great Noine, We Know The Path, We Know The Way, The Power Of The Earth Calls Us! Serodo Nithral Emcotos!" A small black pinhole opened in the center, right below Diamond palm. She jumped back, and watched the edges of the circle eat themselves away as the door opened. All she could see was black earth within. She turned to her partner, "By the way, whats your name?

Illiana smiled to herself highly amused by Diamond's actions and her mood at the moment. Acting like a teenage girl who had just been asked out on a date. Illiana felt very similar, her excitement somehow taking over a large portion of her brain. She paused to collect herself - if she got too excited, she could blow the whole mission.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she was pushed, by Diamond, against the wall. She held herself there, breathing heavily and clutching her spear tightly. She held her breath as Diamond opened a whole, almost magically. She paused, and laughed at herself. Magic, eh? She could do magic too.
"I'm Illiana," Illiana said, extending her hand. "I'm a South Pole Summoner."

Diamond shook her hand once more, a little more formally this time. She took a deep breath, and the steel, cold, iron side of her stepped in. It was time for work. "I wish I had my naginata, but ever since I got it stuck in that damn dragon, I couldn't get it out." She shrugged, and jumped into the hole, landing lightly on the floor below. "Well isn't this classic!" She said, "Skeletons!" She kicked one's head right off. "Psh, pushovers." She destroyed the rest of them before Illiana even hit the ground. Looking around she spotted the only corridor. "Only one way to go I guess." She walked straight down the corridor into another room, cold and dank, and something heavy hung over the room. She refocused her eye's, and there was a liche. Invisible to a normal human, but not an advanced telepath. She punched it right in the head. "Ouch! God damnit!" It yelled, and cast a fire-ball at her. She frog jumped it, and set the liches robe on fire, and sighed. "I can sense your eagerness Illiana, go for it."

"Oh... I giant floating fireball..." Illiana said, staring. She shook her head. She'd seen worse things. What was wrong with her today?
"Alright then..." She said, spinning her spear in her fingers. Raising her right hand, she muttered something under her breath and concentrated on her magical reserves. Her eyes glowed green for a second, but quickly returned to normal - a scan spell, now she could see the unseen.
Spinning her spear again, Illiana ran forwards, her hood falling from her head as she did so. She launched herself, using her spear to help, and flipped over the now-visible Lich. Spinning, she brought her spear sweeping round and through the Lich's cloak and into the almost-dead skin. No blood was spilled, the monster's blood had long since dried up. It turned to face her, its grotesque, abnormal face now visible. Illiana spun, her left hand glowing.
A fire formed there, and grew quickly, leaving a trail as she spun, spinning faster and faster. Suddenly, she stopped and launched the fire powerfully at the Lich. It caught the thing's cloak, setting it on fire again and burning right through to the skin. Illiana paused and thought.
"Ok, think, a Lich must have displaced its soul somewhere, and it must be keeping it close to keep it safe," she thought quickly, sidestepping a wave of energy from the Lich. The energy made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up on end - such power, power she didn't want to be hit by. She spun on the spot, he spear flailing wildly. She stabbed at the Lich, spearing it. Illiana yanked her spear out, and jumped back. Ducking as a wave of energy went over her head, she launched herself forwards and flipped over the next-to dead necromancer.
It was then that she saw it - as the Lich spun to follow her, a rather large locket came free from its robes. Illiana threw her spear away, and brought her hands together, focusing briefly. A blast of fire left her hands like a cannonball, smashing the locket and sending its contents everywhere. The lich gave a shrill shriek, but didn't stop attacking. Illiana snatched up her spear, and threw it at the Lich, piercing its skull. The lich went still, and slowly faded away, its body turning to dust. Illiana snatched up her spear, and turned to face Diamond.
"Piece of cake," she said, grinning.

As the two girls left the bar, a black cloaked figure leaned back, smiling sinisterly. The barkeep sighed, MORTALS WILL NEVER LEARN TO STOP TAMPERING WITH WHAT THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE...
"Yeah, we probably won't. But that Kurushimi sounds mighty tasty, if you know what I mean," said the figure.
OH, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. IF I HAD SOME SORT OF SOUL, I'D BE DISGUSTED WITH THE WORK YOU'VE ALREADY PRESENTED ME WITH.
The person's grin became even larger after hearing the 'compliment.' He tossed a few coins behind his shoulder, pulled up his hood, then literally melted into his shadow.
As soon as the girls had finished off their first Lich in the dark and dank dungeon, the shadows furthur down the corridor began to gather together in one spot, making it even darker. The shadows slowly grew from the ground, eventually forming a humanoid figure. A moment later, the shadow turned into the same grinning Cobra.
"Howdy, girls. I think I'm going to accompany both of you on this lovely evening." Cobra grinned. The grin didn't convey the same emotion that Diamond had showed earlier with her bounciness, nor was it the excitement of getting a new weapon like Illiana's. This was the adrenaline induced high a hunter got from a hunt. This was the smile when the hunter finally cornered his formerly fierce and galliant prey and was about to make it a trophy.
This was the smile of the hunter imagining skinning his dead prey's corpse, sawing its head off, and disposing of the useless inards.

Diamond went cold, as all her hairs stood on end. This guy gave off a seriously bad vibe, and his mind was filled with dark thoughts, so many Diamond has barely scratched the surface before she recoiled. None of this showed on her face of corse, she gave him a small smile and walked forwards to shake his hand. "I'm Diamond, its nice to meet you...? She shook his hand firmly. "Feel free to answer on the way, we don't have time for idle chatter." She opened another door, in the likeness of the hole through which they'd entered the place. In the next room, three liches awaited them, one each Diamond supposed. Taking what she'd learned from Illiana, the drew all of their souls into her hand with her power. One, a coin, another a dagger, and the last a teddy bear. She set them all ablaze, and watched as the liches screamed in agony, their souls once again inside their bodies. She pulled two knives from her thigh sheath, and blasted them right into the center liches eye's. "Rest in piece." She said solumly, before gesturing to the other's to have their fun, in turn.

"How boring..." Cobra muttered, followed by a metallic ring, but he seemed like he hadn't moved at all. In a blink of an eye, a chain had come out of the man's sleeve, ricocheted off of the ground and through the chest of what he had decided was 'his' Lich. On it's path, the chain had hit the opposite wall into the ceiling, then back through the neck of the undead mage, off the ground again, then somehow made a right angle in mid air to go through the Lich's left eye, finally ending it's path embedded in the opposite. Or it seemed like it had done that. The movement of the chain could only be inferred because it currently looked frozen in the path it had taken. It had moved that entire length in literally a blink of an eye.
Cobra yawned, and with another almost impossible to detect flick of the wrist, the chain pulled itself straight and back into his sleeve. As it straightened, it cut apart the Lich, dusting it before it hit the ground.

A woman with thick ebony hair, and black armour walked in to a bar. A huge lance was slung over her lance, and a scar was seen on her right eye, making her look evil. A loud roar was heard from outside the door "Drake, please be quiet I will be back soon..."
"Excuse me..." the woman said to the people attending the bar "It is just my wyvern, he is hungry..." she said with a crooked smile "I'm just kidding" she said breaking the awkward silence of the crowd. She walked foward, and noticed a small teleportation beacon. "hmm..." she said and approached the beacon, she touched the light and the surroundings changed.
In the new room, she bent her knee's and noticed that people were here before she was. She looked up in thought. She pulled her thick hair back, and tied it in a bun "I take it that there may be some fighting..." Then she noticed a piece of parchment on the floor, with lists of Naginata's on them (sorry... I had to) "hmm... Chikara..." The woman in black evil armor, and ebony hair stood up, and began to run foward, trying to catch up with who was in here.
She heard voices up ahead and she ran faster, finally meeting up with who was in here. "Hey!" she yelled "I would like to accompany you in finding the naginata's! My name is Isadora..."

"Good to meet you Isadora. Though I wish you people would stop coming out with such hard names to remember." Diamond said, thoughtfully studying her. She didn't look to great, but she had heart, and she didn't give Diamond such a bad vibe as the other. "Welcome to the catacombs. Its been a bundle of laughs so far, and please. Everyone be careful where and how to you walk, I'm surprised we haven't encountered any traps yet." Diamond felt to rooms atmosphere change, and turned back towards the liche. It seemed to be attempting to summon something. "I don' think so." She flashed out of existence for a moment, and reappeared right beside Cobra the next. "Have a present." She said sweetly, handing him the liches head. Which everyone could now plainly see was not connected to its shoulders. She clapped her hands together and walked on into the next room, the picture of being the complete opposite of what she'd told the others. But she needn't have done so, the next room was quite obviously trapped.
The walls were covered with stone arms, holding iron bow & arrows drawn. There were holes in the walls at foot level, god alone knew what they threw out. The far end of the chamber was covered in spikes, the only way to get across would be to jump of float. And Diamond had an uncomfortable suspiction those spikes would extend to fit the action taken.. She gingerly put a toe out on the floor, and had to pull it back quickly, as a spike from the far end of the room glided over at great speed, to try and spear it. As it was, it just stuck in the ground, and couldn't pull itself out, due to the fact that Diamond was holding it down telkenetically. "Right, any idea's?"

Cobra nodded to the lady, taking the head. He examined it, made a face, then unceremoniously threw it away. "Of course, how... rude of me," he said, dripping with sarcasm. "My name's Cobra. And please refrain from touching my brain. It tickles, and I hate being tickled. Now, about this room..."
Cobra didn't just go with the quick toe dip to test the water. He went ahead and literally jumped into the room. The arms in the wall all grinded to point their arrows at him, then let their arrows go, while at the same time, the spikes on the other side flew out at him. With a flick of the wrist, the chain from his right arm flew out of his sleeve and formed a loose bubble to deflect the arrows. The spikes on the other wall still came at him and went straight through the shield Cobra had made. He sidestepped quickly to avoid being impaled.
Suddenly, another spike broke his barrier, hitting him straight in the left arm. Cobra scowled and grunted from the pain momentarily, but his arm soon melted into a mass of dark energy. In its energy form, it easily slid off of the spike. Cobra jumped back out of the room, reforming his arm as he retreated.
"Yeah...."

"That looked extremely well planned that did." Diamond said sarcastically. Looking around the room, the walls were a mess, and all the spikes were retracting to their origional positions. The bows on the wall replenished their arrows, and once again stood ready to guard the room. She proped the room with her senses, and found something unusual. About 3 feet down the tubes, they were cut off, with another hollow behind them. Diamond shrugged, and punctured one of the wholes. From the rows a tubes, a pink sludge coved the floor and crawled up the walls, and in seconds hardened. She touched her foot to the sludge gingerly, but nothing happened. She shrugged and walked out onto the floor. "Now, I wonder how a normal person would've been able to get through." She said thoughtfully. She looked around the room curiously, but couldn't spot anything. She shrugged pensively, "C'mon, lets go guys."
The next 'room' was a sight indeed. They were standing on a ledge about a mile up from the bottom of the room. At the bottom, they could all plainly see a circular room that seemed to be composed of a ying-yang of strange light. One half shone pure white, the other a harsh red. Floating around in various states were hundreds of liches, and sitting 300 meters away from the room was a throne. A massive throne of gold and rubys, emralds, and smaller, other, unrecognisable jewels. On that throne, sat a massive liche. Eighty meters tall, though gaunt and unhealthy looking. The air in the room crackled with the arcane, magics running wild. Three great opposing forces fought eachother, and their strength was terrible. Diamonds eye's began to water, from the mental pressure of the place. "Well that's nice, hundreds of liches and a huge liche king. And from what I gather of this place, the two opposing forces down there in that ying-yang are fighting eachother, and the liche king as well. I think the liche king is supressing them. It may be that they can only use so much strength to fight that liche, when they are enguaged with eachother like that." She looked at the other liches thoughtfully, they seemed to be half asleep, feeding their master power to keep the powers in the room from destroying each other and everything else along with them.
She turned towards the others. "I think we can go right into the room. All the liches are to focused to notice us, I think. Though, once we get in their and master those weapons, or die trying, we likely to have one hell of a fight on our hands, when the power becomes unbalanced, and the forces destroy each other." She said, beaming confidence. "Let's go eh?" She said, jumping off the ledge into free fall.

Isadora shook her head, she removed her rather large lance, and used it to gracefully land on the ground next to diamond. "Interesting this place is..." she said in a half whisper. Her dark eyes peered at the king, and she felt her self becoming mesmerized. She blinked and looked away "I don't know if I can fight, with all this magic about. I may need my wyvern, but I think he may be a bit large to fit into the hallways, though, he maybe be able to dispose of most of the creatures." Isadora said beaming with pride. "I trained him myself, he hide is thick and durable, also, his scales are enchanted, magic doesn't do much to him..." she said explaining.
Isadora looked into Diamond's eyes "Please...tell me if you need him... I am sure he will make it through to here, I just don't know how quiet my calling of him will be..."

Diamond nodded, thankful for the offer, though she thought it best that the wyvern didn't try to bust through the cealing. "I don't think that's such a great idea, this place is probably layered with enchantments to keep these magic energies in, and other to keep things like wyvern out. Your wyvern would probably be turned into something green and mushy in various, extremely violent ways." She said thoughtfully. "Best not to chance it, rely on the power you find here, it will get you through it in one piece, assuming it doesn't kill you. Oh, did I mention all of these naginata are intelligent? They speak with a form of telepathy. If your judged worthy, you'll sure as hell know. If not, well, its a risk. So consider carefully." She said. She walked straight forward into the dome of red and white light, through the 'wall' as though it wasn't even there.
Diamond appeared in the center of a small circular room. Around her, ten naginata's stood hovering in the air, surrounded by glass. The glass was covered with strange and ancient druidic runes, which glowed a faint blue as they attempted to contain the naginata's power. Diamond looked around, she'd been drawn here, she had not sought this place out. Something unfinished was calling to her, something incomplete like Diamond herself. Its pull was irresistable, and that's why she had come. But now she could feel herself being pulled in two directions. The two, shorter naginata's, Kujikukami and Kujikuoni, were pulling at her with equal, vigorous, frightening intensity. Diamond felt her mind begin to split as the two found for her attention, so she did the only thing that made sense to her, she brought them together. The glass of both confines shattered as shell psionically pulled them towards her. She grasped them in each hand, and connected the butts of both naginata's, creating a single, 10 foot long Naginata. The pressure on her mind ceased.
Thank you Diamond, we have been apart for so long when we were meant to be together, we thank you for restoring us to our proper form. <Your welcome.> Diamond responded. The naginata began to shine, and the materials twisted under Diamonds grasp. <What's happening?> Diamond asked urgently. We are changing. You will see now, what we were meant to be. Diamond help on to the naginata tightly as it twisted and changed under her grasp. When it was finishing, and gentle ringing announced a chain falling to the floor. She examined the new naginata in her hand, and the area surrounding her feet. The naginata now possessed a ten foot white oak shaft, and the blade was silver, but it beat as though a heart lived within it, its size changing as the beating progressed. From the other end of the shaft, a long, white chain coiled to the floor, and around her feet in a seemingly endless spiral. Diamond used her mass sense to figure out how long the chain was, and was surprised to find it measured out at 1000 meters.
<Is this a joke? How could anyone possible control a weapon like this?> Diamond asked weakly. When we are one, our ability is greater. We are capable of re-enforcing probabilitys within the links of the chain, and so thus, you are capable of controlling the chain, though you yourself may not move at all. Diamond nodded, and focused on coiling the chain around her body. To her surprise, it snapped taught around her, and seemed to be acting as a good piece of chainmail armor. <Cool.> She said, honestly meaning it. We're glad your happy Diamond.] Diamond smiled, <Its good to have a naginata in my hands again, it seems like forever since I've held this smooth shaft. Its been ages since I've heard steel sing.> She swung the blade experamentally, finding it perfectly balanced and easy to use. Your should wait for you friends, time moves slower in this room, so they may take longer to arrive, but do not be concerned for their safety quite yet, their blades await them. You were all judged worthy when you walked into this sanctuary, and your force of will foiled the spells designed to erase you from existence. "Woah." She said aloud, "Now I'm seriously impressed with everyone else here.

Illiana gave a half-hearted shrug and concentrated briefly, her left hand glowing faintly as she mentally gripped her wyvern, just in case something did happen. No matter how excited she might be, there was something about the room that worried... almost scared her. There was something almost... wrong... about keeping ten of the most deadly weapons confined together. She swallowed, and stepped through the 'wall'.
Illiana looked around, and saw Diamond grab her naginata, apparently deep in thought. Illiana swallowed again, and looked at the naginatas. All of them let off a magnetic pulse, it seemed, and was drawing Illiana in. However, she had to focus. She looked for her naginata.
"Ki-Mori..." She said to herself, reaching out to the glass surrounding her naginata. Such an unusual thing, designed to trap something that so dearly desired freedom... Ki-Mori let of a seductive aura, and Illiana found herself willing the glass to fade and the naginata to come to her. Without thinking, she pulled out her spear and smashed the glass effortlessly. Her spear dropped, and she gripped her Naginata.
Ki-Mori, the blade looking more like fire than water, ever-moving like an aura. Illiana placed her hand on the blade, and felt the water, more like steel to the touch but far sturdier and sharper. She slid her hand down the naginata, and held it in a basic battle stance. It felt so natural... But even through this, she could not forget...
Illiana picked up her spear.
So you are not swayed by power. Illiana heard the voice in her head. "I'm sorry... But my spear is my weapon, the most loyal companion..." Illiana thought. You are, indeed, a strong one... The voice said. Even through the lies and deceit, and the temptation of power, you still held on to yourself. I am Ki-Mori, and I am now yours.
Illiana gave a short nod, and slid the Naginata in to the straps on her cloak, gripping her spear tightly.

Isadora peered around the room she was in still "Best be following her..." she said silently, and walked into the dome after diamond. She was shocked when she seen her aquantaince with a full blown chain armour around her. Isadora peered around, and one caught her eye "Chikara?" she said breathlessly. She touched the glass around it with the tip of her finger, and she pulled back quickly, her spine getting a cold chill. "Hmm...." she said determined, she tightened her fist, and slammed a punch into the glass, and it cracked, and shattered into pieces on the floor.
Isadora gingerly approached the Naginita slowly, and tried to touch the shaft. Her hand passes right through.
Your are Isadora correct?
"Yes, but how..."
The weapon interupted her I know all about you, when your hand went through my shaft, I felt your presence, and you are exposed to me, I know everything about you, and you are worthy...
The Naginata seemed to transport itself into the real plane, and Isadora grabbed it. A swirl of mist surrounded her, and the naginata, seemed to return to a different plane, but Isadora could still wield it. She slung it over her shoulder and smiled "Wow, that was... umm... easy."

Cobra walked around each of the cases of glass housing some of this world's most powerful weapons. He looked each naginata up and down, admiring the elegant and destructive designs. He could almost imagine what it was like to use one of those in a battle, to be able to easily cut or kill an opponent, letting his or her blood stain the ground yet run neatly off of the blade.
As he neared one of the naginatas, he felt a mental tug on his mind. At that moment, he knew that this was it: Kurushimi, the Tortuer. He eyed the runed glass surrounding it and chuckled as he easily broke it with a punch. The naginata still hovered, so Cobra reached out for it.
Before he could touch it, it spoke. Now, Cobra, would that have been such a smart thing to do if I decided you were unworthy?
"Unworthy?" Cobra chuckled. "We both share a taste for pain in others. I can feel it through our mental link. You know as well as I do that no one will be able to weild you like I can, because my demon nature gives me a taste for blood. Unworthy? Any one with less admiration for gore wouldn't be able to handle what you can do. And I can feel the overflow of images in my mind. You want to feel the heat of battle again."
True, true. I can sense your dark heart as well, and it does indeed give me that "warm tingly feeling." I am yours, Cobra.
Cobra chuckled and took the shaft of Kurushimi. At least he got a witty one.

Diamond cast a critical eye over the others, they were all still alive, so she guessed they'd all passed, like her naginata had said. "Alright." She said. "The naginata's still here are unbalanced, which means when we disrupt this barrier, we could all be killed. We have two solutions, both are dangerous, one more so than the other. We can lock the blades away even further, deep inside the earth where they'll likely never be reached again, or we can attempt to destroy them, which might not be such a good idea since a few of them could probably kick our asses on their own. Take a vote, when you've decided, we'll pursue that corse of action, then get the hell out of here, assuming the liches don't kill us."

Isadora sighed, and gripped her knew weapon. "I don't know what I should do..."
The choice is yours, I will help you with what ever your plan of action is
"hmm... she said. I vote that we find out what these weapons can really do if put to the test. I say we fight." She drew her naginata and held the wooden shaft in her hand. It began to become less transparent, and took its real form in her hand.

"Kurushimi?"
I'm always up for a good fight.
"I agree," replied Cobra. He then turned to Diamond. "Kurushimi and I say we destroy the other naginatas. I mean, you did say he was the most powerful blade, after all."

Illiana froze, faced with such a decision. What to choose? On one hand, she could choose to fight. The power she felt from Ki-Mori filled her with confidence, and for a moment she felt like she could take on anything that fate threw at her. But there was a nagging feeling at the back of her head - if she felt this much power from Ki-Mori, which was supposed to be the middle-strength naginata, what were the other naginatas like?
"What d'you think? Can we beat them?" Illiana asked Ki-Mori. I am not sure, but we can only try.
"Okay, I'm in, let's fight 'em," Illiana said.

Deciding that it was unanimous Isadora charged. She shattered the glass case of one of the naginata's. She backed off "Which one is this? I don't know all the names, so we will need an explanation of each one!" Isadora shouted loudley to Diamond. The naginata hovered in the air, and vibes coming off of the weapon seemed very evil.
