A small logging town in the rockies, consisting quite literally of the bare essentials. Maybe twenty houses, a hotel, a local tavern, and a police station. A farmers mart sat empty, a large lot chained off and closed for the night. It was late evening, and a dark sky coated in lazy clouds provided the backdrop to mountains like white tipped talons, reaching for the sky. Sero was in the bar, a small place with a dank air. The place was full of wooden tables, and had only one long bar. It looked primitive, and it had a wet air to it. None of the tables had been sanded, polished, or varnished in any way. The placed smelled like fresh cut pine and the ashes of the unlit fire.
Sero was sitting at the bar, and he signaled his intention for another drink to the young woman serving as the barmaid. She tossed the unopened beer to him, and went back to fruitlessly cleaning the tarred mugs. The only thing to order here was beer, from the bottle, because the mugs were eternally covered in rancid mold and bacteria. None of the wood in the place had been protected, so in some cases it was rotting right through. Sero was still struggling to get used to his environment, as he'd been ressurected from another place and time. He missed Tyr, even though he'd fought the white devils, and he felt strangely naked without his black blade.
So he'd gone digging. After two months in this new place, he'd heard of some ancient weapons similar to his old one. So, he'd set out to attain them, only to find there was a rather large, scaliey, fire breathing obstruction in his path. So, he'd posted some adds on the 'internet' as these people called it, and waited in this tavern every night. Hoping some questers of some kind would come to his call and aid, so he could fill that blank part of his soul.
A young man walked into the tavern, Sero looked him over discreetly, and found him to be healthy and strong. He had a sword on his hip, though he carried no armor. The sword had a snake motif, and the blade was a kris design to farther emulate this. The young man slowly turned his head, and looked directly at Sero. Apparently, he knew who he was looking for. A he approached, Sero made out gentle features topped with sandy brown hair, and hazel eye's. They flashed green in the light, but where otherwise a very light blue.
"Excuse me," The young man said, his voice was low, pleasant and amiable. But he also seemed somewhat stiff, as if he wasn't used to this type of situation at all. "My name is Tidus, you're Sero?" He asked politely. Sero nodded, simply gesturing for him to sit down. The young man did so, naturally keeping his sword clear of the stool. "You put out an add on the internet to slay a dragon," Tidus said quietly, "In order to claim ancient weapons. I am...interested in the experience." Tidus said slowly, "My order usually has a fledgling paladin deal with some great calamity to prove themselves." He continued.
"And?" Sero asked, his voice was graceful like falling water, a very odd accent to Tidus' ears, but he was from a very different planet. "And, I wouldn't mind the advantage of an arcane weapon. Provided it isn't blatantly evil." He said, "So I'm inclined to help you." Sero nodded, "As far as I've been able to tell, they are indeed not blatantly evil. Otherwise I would desire one no more than you." Sero looked around, he sensed something on the edge of his mind. A sense of...anticipation. "Why don't we wait a little longer before we go?" Sero asked, "I've also ordered a weapon that should be delivered tonight. As you can see, I am quite unarmed. A few more arms to add to our own would be welcome as well."
Tidus quietly agreed, signaling to the barmaid that he'd like a drink, and tossing her his platinum card. "Start a tab." He said, nursing his beer. "Could be here a while." He muttered.

The bar door opened, and a six foot, blue haired man walked in. He was heavily armored with a long spear attached to his back, chained to the mans right hand. The man walked to the bar and ordered a drink.
The barmaid set a beer on the table, a little scared to see someone with so much armor enter the bar. "E-excuse me sir, but that clothing seems a bit odd, where do you come from?"
The man smiled kindly "Why of course, I am from a town called Paciflidog, its out in the middle of the ocean. The name is Albatross Trevelyan, I travel... a lot," Al laughed. He looked at the beer, making a disgusted face, "Excuse me Ms., but I don't drink beer... do you have any water?"
"Why of course," She responded, and brought a bottled water, and set it on the bar.
Al scanned the room for the individual he had been looking for. He spotted two men sitting at a bar, both conversing with each other. He opened his water and took a large gulp and set it down on the counter. He stood up, and he clanked loudly over to the two gentleman. "Hello Gentlemen, My name is Albatross Trevelyan. You two wouldn't happen to be the people who posted that wanted sign on the web did ya?"

NAIC - Yeah, but anyway, you asked me to review your RPing in this topic, and so here I am. Well, it's hard to assess RPing specifically based only on the first post of an RP; I mean, since you haven't responded to Kevin yet, that makes things difficult. RPing is after all so much more about how you interact with others than individual writing skill. But I can critique your individual writing skill based on one post. And I can say that it's certainly improved a lot.
I mean, there's still the occasional persistent spelling error (it's "resurrect", not "ressurect"), grammatical mistake (I suspect you will always pluralize "eye" as "eye's" no matter how many times I point out the intruding apostrophe) and questionable artistic choice (you're still breaking up your dialogue too much with all those "he said"s and "he continued"s; you mostly should be able to get by putting all a character's speech into one pair of quotes), but overall it's gotten much more professional.
My only major complaint is the same I had for "Tempest Zabuza", which is that you're developing this habit of falling into a rhythm of posting long strings of paragraphs of roughly the same length. This is okay for character bios and just general posting but it's really not good form for storytelling. I don't know why, but the human eye just doesn't like to have to read that. We prefer variety. Take individual sentences or pairs of them and isolate them every once in a while. Give them paragraphs of their own. Look at this post I wrote in Chords, for instance. That's a fucking lot of words. Do you think I could expect anyone to read that if they were all broken up into uniform paragraphs? The eye will happily trek through long paragraphs if it can see shorter ones up ahead.
Like this.
I look at other posts you've made in RP lately, and I see the same problem arise. This post is really hard to slog through. So is this one. Be careful. That's all I'm saying. Other people might find these posts a lot harder to read than you do.
Otherwise, though, I really like the turn your writing has taken and I hope to see more. And I also might join this RP if I can properly take the measure of where it's going.
P.S.

OOC - Hmmmmm, there was a reason I asked you via PM you know. Lmao. But since you've done this, you should do a weekly review on a random RPer's writing ability or topic matter. Seems like it could be pretty cool.
Also, this topic is your basic, Slay the Dragon, Get the Treasure. Type of quest, save for the fact that it isn't. Its complicated, and I have to get near the end to really express what's going to happen. So, please feel free to join at any time, lol. Terrian might be interested in one of the Shiny daggers in the dragons layer, or not. Up to you man.
I was intending to respond after I got a chance to talk to Kev, but he hasn't been online. That said, I'll probably put something up in the next three hours, but I don't want to drag the tavern time out any longer than nessisary.

NAIC - I would have responded by PM, but I loved the black power images too much not to share them with the community at large. Yep, I hinged my decision to go public with this post on a joke that I didn't want only one person ever to see. I keep trying to tell you guys I'm a shallow, self-congratulatory prick, but you never... oh, wait, never mind; you do believe me.

Sero looked over Albatross for a moment before responding, "I'm Sero, and this young man is Tidus. You mind if we just call you Al?" He asked, grinning slightly. "Your full name isn't exactly easy to remember. And yes, I am the one who posted the add on the internet. Tidus and yourself are the one's who've responded so far. This is a dragon we're talking about, so I wouldn't mind some more people, but give it another hour would you?" Sero asked, he gestured towards the door. "I'm currently unarmed, I've got a weapon on order, its addressed to come here. It shouldn't be to much longer." He shrugged. Tidus nodded amiably, but didn't really have anything to say to the man himself. He just nodded at the seat beside him in a questing manner.

Al let out a hardy laugh "Why of course that is my nick name after all, Sero." Al cracked his neck and adjusted his heavy armored shoulder pads. "I am going through a dead weight training, they say that as soon as you are lighter, you are deadlier than every imaginable. I hope to obtain this by way of constantly wearing the armor." Al looked around embarrassed, "I-uh of course remove it when I have to you-uh you know," he smiled, "I will wait for new comers, and your weapon to be delivered." Al sat down, the stools legs bending at the massive weight put on them, "I suppose I should er, stand."

"Of course, dragons and other such beasts are my specialty, after all." A wind blew through the building, neither warm nor cold. The door swung open, slamming into the wall behind it with a bang. The woman who stepped through the door jerked in surprise, a few feathers wafting to the floor. Her blue eyes seemed large in proportion to her face, giving her a perpetually startled look, and her tanned face had only the slightest nervous grin showing her emotion. She noiselessly stepped towards the bar, thinking as she moved.
"The water here spring or tap?" She asked, the waitress thinking for a moment.
"We have a well."
"That'll do." She responded, and turned towards the others in the group. She was wearing a white t-shirt and matching shorts, each with a blue embroidery along the edges. Her bramble-scratched, muscular legs lead to sturdy looking hiking boots. Most distinctively, though, she had shoulder length hair, the color of the grass in springtime, and a grey-white cape of feathers. The scent of leaves and wildflowers, of clean air and clean water, permeated the air around her.
"First time we've been on a quest in a while, right, Al?" She asked, her form rising slightly and her cape twitching.
"My name's Maude, and I'm with him." She introduced herself to Sero, nodding, and then taking a seat without further words. The young woman looked down at the table, tapping it quietly with her calloused knuckles.
OOC: Yet again, Maude is attached to Al. It's like bread and butter.

The tavern door swung open again, and a middle aged back in a Fed-Ex uniform walked in, wheeling a dolley behind him. It had a six foot, wide box propped up on it. He stopped in the middle of the room, set the dolley upright, and started reading his clipboard. "Uuuuh, House of what?" He said, scratching his head. "Ah screw it, hey, is there anyone named Sero here?" He asked the room at large. Sero stood up and walked over to the man, "Yeah thats me." The Fed-Ex guy nodded, and took out a hulky eletronic screen.
"Sign here please." Sero did so, "Thanks." He said, pulling the dolley out from under the package and walking out of the tavern. Sero smiled, they guy had to feel out of sorts. He ripped the package open, taking out a five and a half foot long black, rectangular box. He set it down on a nearby table, and opened it. From its depths, he pulled out a sword, and it looked odd indeed. A two handed handle with black leather, to a silver oval guard. It had three feet of blade, and then what looked like a giant leaf bladed spearhead.
Barely noticeable, the sword had a small trigger on the hilt, cramped up by the oval guard. Sero pointed it at the fireplace, and hit the trigger. With a blast like a cannon, the previously seamlessly intagrated spearhead flew across the room and impaled itself in the stone wall. It was connected with Sero's sword via a long, black steel cable.
Sero pulled his arm back sharply, and the blade freed itself from the wall. He fingered the trigger again and it withdrew. As it clicked back into place with the rest of the blade, a red capsule popped out of a hidden alcove in the blade of the sword. Sero replaced it with one from the case, then filled his pockets with those that remained.
"Right, I'm ready. How are you guys doing?" He asked his companions. Tidus gave him the thumbs up, and downed the rest of his beer. He swung off his stool, and adjusted his sword on his belt.

In the darkness, two figures scaled a dirt path up to the logging town. They were an unusual pair; the smaller one, a woman, was in the lead. Her golden hair was pulled back, artfully arranged in some sort of loose half-bun and secured in place by several glittering ornaments. This woman was wearing plate mail, which shone softly in the moonlight. Her companion, in comparison, was a stout man who towered over her. He was attired simply, in robes with perhaps embroidered leather underneath, and he was carrying a small arsenal of intricately detailed weaponry on his back.
“Odd place to find a dragon, isn’t it, Sister? In the Rocky Mountains,” the large man was saying. He took one step to her two, almost. “Not the most discreet of locales.”
“No,” the woman in armor murmured in reply, her voice warm and gentle, “it really isn’t. And a dreadfully isolated little town to boot. A miracle that there have been no reports of it thus far.”
“Suppose, then, that this dragon is ancient, as it most likely is,” the man continued. “Adelaide, would it or would it not be reasonable to surmise that it will be extremely difficult to slay?”
Adelaide’s crimson cloak floated just above the ground. She turned and favored her companion with a smile. “Evil has no capital of its own. It is a parasite on goodness, Ives. The Order of Patroclus has demanded its demise. It shall be slain.”
Ives smiled a half-smile back at her. They were nearly in town now, the yellowed light from inside the cabins twinkling at them through the night. “Yes, Sister Adelaide. As always.”

Al smiled seeing his old friend Maude, "OI!" he said loudly, "Long time no see! Yes, it has been a very long time," He extended his hand and gave the old companion a generous handshake. He leaned in close so that only she could hear, "I came on this adventure in search of a new halberd, and a new summon. I heard the dragon is hard, it would make a great addition to the team. Leviathan, and Mizu Hebi are pretty lonely lately in the bead." He pulled back giving out a hardy laugh.
Al smiled hearing that it was time to go, and readied his spear and checked the chain to make sure it was secure and tight, "Good, I'm itching for a fight..."

OOC: Sorry for the autoing.
BIC: Al, Sero, Tidus, and Maude stood in a line carefully distanced from a large opening in the side of the mountain. A large, black, taloned dragons hand could be seen emerging from the darkness. It gripped the cliff reflexively, leaving deep gouges in the stone. "Thats the problem." Sero said in a low voice, "He's a brute." He said, the point of his odd sword buried in the ground, he leaned on it. Tidus looked up at the dragons claw skeptically.
"For the-, the talons are bigger than my arms!" Tidus said, shifting uncomfortably. "This thing must be really ancient. How are we suppost to pull this off?" Sero shrugged, looking at his other two companions. "Any suggestions?" He asked Al and Maude, his hands worrying away at his swords hilt. "I'm strong, but not that strong I don't think. If its hide wasn't so thick, I'd be fine, but its like one of those tank things your military has."
The claw gripped in a larger convulsion, and they could clearly hear the stone snapping under the pressure. A huge, red eye glared out from the cave. It was searching. "Hide!" Sero said in a desperate, low whisper. He dived behind a tree, and pulled Tidus along behind him. He glared at Al, almost sure that his armors clanking had given them away. "Get down!" He hissed.

Al peered at there foe, his heart racing, "I have found it!," he said in a loud excited whisper.
"Sero!," Al said trying to keep his excitement down, "Thats it! It is my final summon... he have to defeat that thing!" Al gripped his spear tightly with one hand, and gripped the golden blue jewel in the other. "We can defeat it, we just have to defeat him... but how?" Al said puzzled.
Al opened his left hand and looked at his summoning bead that was made into a necklace. He smiled coming up with a plan, "With my well trained summons, I can use both beasts at once! Leviathan is capapable fighting on his own, and Mizu Hebi I have pretty much trained to work with me well..."

When Al shook her hand, Maude smiled serenely. His vitality was always a welcome source of brightness in her life.
"Ah. I know how it is, to be seeking the last summon to complete your group. It's a feeling between loneliness and hunger, a pain uniquely that of our kind." Maude replied, her voice slipping into her more normal tones. Though she evidently was most comfortable speaking at this level, Al, who was seated beside her, had to strain his ears to hear what she was saying. --------- "This is where we have come to fight?" Maude breathed, the group finding it easier to understand her speaking after having spent some time with her. As opposed to the loud movements and boisterous voice of Albatross, it seemed almost like there was a peculiar absense of noise in Maude. Her footsteps were mute, her clothes and wings didn't rustle... If one closed their eyes, she faded away, becoming nothing more than a blade of grass or a falling leaf.
"It may be large and strong, but I have faith that we can win." Maude said, analyzing it with a glance. Her quiet smile faded, becoming the beginning of a frown as it began stirring. "I don't like violence, but to support itself, this creature must terrorize hundreds of victims every year. It would be best if we removed it." She gently laid a hand on Al's armor, and nodded slightly.
"I'm with you, as are our summons, and the people we met earlier." Maude said reassuringly, and then began sprinting, her movements irregular, as if the terrain was deciding them for her. She tumbled into some bushes, disappearing almost completely the instant that she enterred them, and awaited the beginning of the conflict.

"Right." Sero said, glancing at his companions. "Myself, Tidus, and Al will take the direct approach and provide a distraction for whatever the hell she's up to. Al, if you have a big summon that can wrestle with a dragon, I suggest you use it." Tidus nodded his understanding, and unsheathed his kris bladed sword.
"Right, here we do!" Tidus yelled, charging forwards. The dragon noticed him, and stuck its long, scaley neck and head out of the caves entrance. It opened its mouth to unleash...whatever it was it breath. Sero shot past Tidus at a shocking speed, born from training in another would, and hit the button on his sword when it was about ten feet from the dragons mouth.
It hit squarely in the monsters nose, which caused the dragon's mouth to snap shut, as it moved to scratch the irritance away from its maw. Sero used the long chain length to swing up on top of its head, and retracted the odd sword back to its origional form. He flipped it over in his hands, and stabbed straight down at the dragons head.
It penetrated scale, skin, and tissue, but stopped dead against the hard bone that lie underneith. The dragon howled, blasting pure heat from its jaws. The rock at the entrance of the cave quickly became molten, and steam erupted in the air as the water was vaporized.
Tidus rolled quickly out of the way, and approached on the dragons left. An overhanded swing of his kris bladed sword lay a huge cut open across the dragon's thigh. But, as huge as it appeared to Tidus, it was a mere scratch to the dragon. He was forced to hit the deck as the dragon's giant talon whipped over his head. He breathed a quiet sigh of relief, and rolled to a standing position under the dragon.
He pointed his sword straight up, holding it firmly in both hands, and stabbed at the dragons heart. However, as with Sero above, the sword impacted bone and rebounded off the hard sub-surface. "Shit!" Tidus yelled, rolling out from under the dragon as it crashed to the ground, trying to crush him. "I hit a rib! Missed the heart!"
Meanwhile, Sero had been hanging onto his sword for dear life as the dragon swung its head around wildly, trying to throw him off. As the dragon crashed to the ground, attempting to crush Tidus, he ripped his sword from its head, and dove clear of the thrashing dragon. "Well this is fun!" Sero yelled over the dragons bass rumbling, and the sound of crushed and falling rock. "Al!" Sero screamed.

"What ever you do! DO NOT KILL HIM!" Al screamed at Sero. Al lowered his body, bending his knee's preparing to jump into the air, his heavy spear ready in hand, "Leviathan!" He screamed and out of no where Al was shot into the air from his summon erupting from the ground. Al finally reached the point to where he would not be propelled any further into the air, he pointed the spear towards a vulnerable spot in the dragons back, adjusting his body, Al fell at a angle, basically dive bombing straight for his target, the heavy armor only increasing the velocity, and destructive power of the blow.
In comparison, Leviathan is only 50ft long, and compared to the massive dragon that they face, Leviathan looked like the younger sibling of the beast.
Keep him from moving Leviathan Al said telepathically to his summon.
Leviathan let out a shrill roar of agreement, and fire brewed inside the jaws of the water serpent, rearing its head back it shot out a massive fireball compariable to that of the dragon that Al and the others were fighting.
The fireball succesfully hit the opposing dragon, but only left slight burns on the reflective scales of the large scale foe that they face, but enough to distract there giant foe from moving. Leviathan roared and pillars of rock surrounded both sides of the Dragon, locking it in place only for moments.
Al connected with his blow, tearing through hard scales, thick flesh and piercing straight into the bone. Al planted his feet in the back of the dragon and ripped his spear out of the hide, but before he could dodge a blow, he was knocked backwards, hurled threw the air, he landed with a soft bounce, as he conjured up a protective bubble to soften the blow of landing on the ground.
With a simple swing, the dragon knocked down the pillars of rock, but it was hindered by the powerful blow that Al had inflicted onto the spine of the creature.
Al weakly stood up, caught off gaurd by the powerful blow "Ouch" he said rubbing the abdomidable part of his armor.

"Now it's me! Get clear!" Maude attempted to shout, although it came out moreso as a conversational tone. Flinging herself into the air in a flurry of wings, she dove sideways to avoid what appeared to be a cone of distortion from the dragon's jaws. The wave of pure heat wilted plants in a wide radius around where it hit, the ones at ground zero bubbling and exploding before their sad remnants burst into flames.
Heading skywards again, Maude clutched at a bead on her necklace. Flapping laboriously, she got some air beneath her. A shrill whistling was heard from the skies above, a cloud of flames seemingly coalescing into the rough outline of a winged hydra.
"Waste no time!" Maude pointed herself towards the earth, diving with a drilling motion. She tucked her wings in, plunging like a comet and only stopping inches above the soil. The corona of flames paused for a split second, and then followed her motions, shooting barely over Leviathan's head and straight at the dark dragon. The spiralling maelstrom struck the brutish beast in its face, pushing against it with the force of an exploding bomb. It dug its claws into the earth, forcing back against the assault with only a fraction of its might.
"Come on!" Maude pleaded, forcing her summon with all of her will. Its spinning increased, the individual flicks of flame and light becoming one titanic blurred form. The dragon responded in kind, clearly tensing its muscles against the assault.
"Now!" The tornado of hellfire vanished instantly, leaving the monster to lurch forwards, off balance for only a moment... Still, that could give her allies the opening that they needed.

There was a blinding flash of light, and the great dragon recoiled, screeching hideously. Silhouetted against the night sky, Ives hefted a halberd from the pack on his back to Adelaide. Its intricately wrought silver head caught the moonlight and seemed to radiate light. Adelaide drove the polearm's weighted butt into the ground before her feet and bowed her head. Behind her, Ives began to speak:
"We offer our prayers to the Most High, that without delay we may draw His mercy down upon us; take hold of the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan; bind him and cast him into the bottomless pit –"
"Amen!" Adelaide shouted, charging the beast. As she drew it into range, she swung the poleaxe down in a powerful arc. It connected with the dragon's scales with the din of metal on metal, but its fine silver blade came away crimson, and the beast bore a long gash across its muzzle. Satisfied, the knight drew back, considering where to strike next.

Sero pounced on both distractions, both the unbalanced lung, and the cut the dragon received across the muzzle. He hit the trigger on his sword, the end of the blade buzzing into life and across the distance into the dragons neck. Sero jumped over the dragon, and rolled back under its neck. He looped the chain around it, rolled behind a rock outcrop, and braced himself to keep it in position. The dragon tugged against the binding, and even from 20 feet away the others could easily hear his joints popping, and his muscles tearing. But still, he hung on.
Tidus rolled in close to the dragon foot, and with two hands, pounded his kris blade through the dragons talon and into the bedrock. It howled and tugged at this binding as well, but found itself unable to free its talon. Tidus took a couple loping steps back, wiping blood off his hands. "It's pinned, but I don't have a weapon!" He yelled, keeping a careful eye on it, in case it started breathing again.
OOC: Kev, if you want to capture it now, thats fine. Even if you do, a curse on the cave will assure that the dragon continues to fight, if in a different form unrelated to a 'captured summon'.

Albatross took note of the advantage of the opportunity that was given to them by the two pinning the dragon. Al clasped his hands together, his physical features beginning to bubble, his flesh and organs becoming transparent. All of a sudden he melted into the rocky earth that he stood on. Swirls of water surrounded the dragon and began to form on the snout of the dragon.
When Al solidified he had to grasp onto the hard scaly skin to avoid from falling off of the beast. Al peered into the amber eyes of the dragon, attempted to establish a mental link. <Come with me!> Al said to the dragons mind repeatedly. The dragons yellow pupils constricted and became small. It let out a shrill and monstrous tone, shaking its head about trying to rid itself of the man on its snout.
Al repeated what he said, and began to send a soothing sound through the dragons brain, heating the sound center. Its thrashing stopped, the pupils dilating. The dragon’s body collapsed to the ground, the fight finally over. Al jumped backwards and rubbed his hand across its snout “It’s going to take a while, but we’ll get you all better.”
The dragon began to blow a serene blue color as it disappeared, the chain falling to the ground, and the two blades sticking in the ground. “I have…my final summon!!” Al said happily to the team.

"And we have a problem," Sero said, clasping Al's shoulder, and pointing towards where the dragon was. The dragon's black skeleton still remained, standing on strong legs, and spreading black wings covered in lichen. It's eye's burned green at them, and it let out a tremendous roar.
It jerked its leg sharply, pulling it out of the ground and throwing Tidus' sword away. Tidus cursed, going after the blade quickly. The skeletal dragon snapped its teeth at the chain that dangled loosely around it neck, snapping the end of Sero's blade off, rendering the end length and chain useless.
Sero cursed, and ripped the chain from the interior of the sword. He now held a straight longsword with a cut off, hollow tip. He fourished it casually, "Well at least its lighter now." He commented grimly, just as Tidus reappeared at his side, holding his sword in white hands.
"So what now?" Tidus asked Sero, who shrugged, "Thats not very reassuring!" Tidus said shakily, "Wasn't meant to be." Sero said, tightning his grip on his blade. Suddenly, the dragon started shaking its head around in violent jerks, and its teeth fell out and into the ground.
It lowered its nose over the teeth, and a red liquid poured out onto them. In moments, around ten skeletons with transparent skin and organs crawled out of the ground. They looked...angry, insane with rage. They charged the group as a whole, teeth clicking together madly as they charged.
"Form a line, brace yourselves!" Sero yelled, Tidus falling in beside him, bracing himself with his sword pointed forwards. Sero was already in a similar position. Three of the skeletons broke over the two, ignoring their impalement, and reaching balefully for the throats of the pair.
Sero ducked under the arms, and cut down the Skeleton attacking Tidus. The attack didn't have any discernable effect, besides throwing the Skeleton away from the young man. "Move!" Sero yelled.

"That's really great." Maude said to Albatross, having approached him during the summoning procedure. It was different for her peoples, a different ritual, a different technology, but moral support was the universal aid. Her wings fluttered slightly, almost absentmindedly, lifting her from the ground again. Each movement was reserved, though with a careful eye, her allies could tell that her flight was looser, less restrained than when she had been with them before. The moment that the skeleton appeared, though, she instantly dove for the ground.
"Oh..." She watched it carefully, awaiting an attack. When the teeth fell, she brought her wings forwards, as if to shield herself. She kept her eyes open, awaiting still a real attack, but was relieved to see the animate corpse hanging back. That was, until she noticed the ghastly soldiers rising from the earth. Wasting no time, she shot towards them, sprinting with speed far beyond the normal reach of humans. She jumped into the air as she got within reach of the beasts, clotheslining two of them with outstretched wings. As their heads snapped back, she spun, leaping skywards and slamming a fist into each one's side where a kidney normally would be. Another flap pulled her upwards, putting her mostly out of their reach as the grasped after her. One lept up, its swing missing but its fingers drawing a trail of blood across Maude's leg. She countered by stomping on its head, sending it crashing to earth. Still laboring for altitude, she watched the duo look up at her, as if they were sharks watching a piece of meat being dangled above the water.

Al twirled his halberd and ran at one of the skelatal monsters, leaping into the air, and flipped bringing his heel down on of the dragons head. Its body lowered taking the impact of the hit, it lifted its head again, and sent Al flying upward. Al's body absorbed most of the hit, and allowed himself to be shot upward, as he was flying upward at an extreme speed he threw his spear down at the dragon, impaling latching onto the bones, Al stopping suddenly, some of the bones from the dragon dislocating, from stopping Al in mid flight, the chain attatched to his armor began to reel him at an extended speed, his fist balled up. "Hawaiian..." Al screamed his fist glowing like the sun, as he closed in he opened his palm a massive force of energy erupting, "PUNCH!" he screamed a giant hibiscus like fist completely engulfing the Skelatal beast.
Al landed his feet leaving deep imprints into the ground. He flipped a switch on his armor and the spear retracted backwards and he grasped it, waiting for the dragon to eithe recover, or for another to come after him.
