Seriously Pohatu, I'm willing to discuss the word count, I just don't want to do it in the submission area.

3000+ words is like, 6 pages. Let's bring that down a notch.
Say 2000-2500 range.

Yeah, I think my writing class kinda messed me up. I got so use to having to pump out a story every month of 3500 words...
If everyone's good with it, how about 1856 to 2461?
Sound good?

Why such arbitrary numbers? I have absolutely no problems with it, I'm just curious.

We did it for our short shorts and it was interesting. Plus, it's better than normal plain numbers lol

I'm kind of intimidated by the sheer number of criteria i must meet. So many requirements means I need to plan, and i can't just stream of conscious a story like i usually do, and i don't like planning.

Will the criteria change every month or will it remain the same throughout? I kinda have beef with numero seis.

It changes every month and is random.
And looks like two days left people.
Two Days Left!
If no one enters this month, I am still going to attempt the other two months. Just means you'alls lost out on EP and fun.

Well, the first month was an utter failure! We'll see how next month fairs. Anyone like to talk about it?

I'm guessing that it's just because it was close to the end of the school year, finals and what not. This next month should be better, though you may want to be a bit more vocal about it.

It's certainly an incentive for me to put in work on this story!

you should advertise this in the shoutbox harder. maybe even advertise on fb and get some of your irl writer friends to enter it.
the point is i completely forgot about this what with the world building and the ishkabibble and potato telling everyone to renard. you just need to wipe it in everyone's faces.

It's over. I'd like to thank all of you that made this happen. This was a success because you guys made it that way. So lets hear a big cheer for everyone and hope this awesomeness echoes in Winter when I do it again!
So, in all seriousness, I'm still in good humor because I find it funny that the first project/contest I have stuck with through start to finish ended up being a huge flop, unlike all the other things that were somewhat popular till I lost interest in them. Irony makes me happy.

It's not really your fault. Summer just happened to be when everyone decided they wanted to coordinate a big project.
For the next contests, I recommend integrating the terrible crossover fanfic generator into it somehow.
