OOC: This RP is using the game Perfect World International as it's setting, but it has a few different concepts to it. It is invite only, but I hope anyone who's not involved still thinks it's a pretty good read. So yeah! Let the fun begin! BIC: Cassie dashed down the sidewalk toward her house. She glanced down at her watch for at least the third time in five minutes. “Crud!!! I'm late! My first day of work and I have to be late!” She shouted to the air as she reached the large house where she lived and frantically opened the door with a loud bang as it hit the wall. “Dad!” She yelled as she continued running down the hall. She burst into her father's office and finally came to a halt. “Dad- sorry- late.” Was all she could say sagging in the doorway, clinging to the door knob as she gasped for more air. Her father looked up from his computer and glanced at the round, wooden clock that hung from the wall. “What do you mean you're late? You're just on time! You set your watch ten minutes forward this morning. Remember? So you wouldn't be late.” Chris laughed at his daughter as he looked her over. “Goodness, Cass, it looks like you ran all the way from school!” Cassie gave a sheepish smile, her breathing now under control. “Well, maybe not the whole way... I guess that's what I get for playing tricks on myself. Heh. So... What's my first assignment, Dad?” Her smile growing a bit wider. Chris turned back to his computer. “Hmm... It looks like you have glitch duty today.” He said chipperly. Cassie wrinkled her nose a bit. “I had kinda been hoping it was like, giving a tour or something?” “Sorry, Cass. Everyone takes their turn. On the bright side, it's only for a few hours.” He winked at her. “Yeah... ok... I'll see you in game then, probably. When my death duty is over.” she said over dramatically. Both laughed as she turned to go to her room where the computer was, just a few doors down. Perfect World International had been a pretty popular game for the last few years and it was only just recently that virtual reality technology came into the gaming world. So, her dad and a few other developers decided to make a VR version of it. Even though it had just been released she'd been playing it for a while now. Giving input and such to make it more user friendly. It had been decided that that instead of having computer controlled shop keepers, trainers or any other auto characters that had been present in the original version, that they would hire people to do these parts in the game. This would mean the game wasn't free to play, but in turn, it would also make it seem more real. In fact, the game was so real that it was like living a double life in some ways. Some where concerned about it, others thought it was a way to just get away from “it all.” Cassie was sort of indifferent on that matter. It was all up to the individual really. Cassie sat down in her cushioned, swivel computer chair which was stationed in front of her simple, wood desk up a against the wall. Picking up a pair of glasses that looked like they might have come out of Star Trek or something, she plugged them in to the back of her computer and put them on. As she pushed a little button on the right side of the eye piece a little beep was heard and green lights on the visor like glasses started flashing. A menu popped up in front of her eyes of the different characters she'd made over the past year or so. After selecting her venomancer, she closed her eyes and waited for the program to initiate. A moment of dizziness was felt, but quickly vanished as her senses adjusted. She opened her eyes and found herself in the City of the Lost. Breathing in deeply Cassie took in the smells of the town. “Well, I haven't been here in a while!” She wiggled her fluffy fox tail and laughed. “Time to find some unkillable monsters. Fun stuff.” Pulling up the complaint window she looked to see what was first on the list. At the top of the window it read '3050 result'. “Gee...It's like they never end!” she thought to herself as she headed off through the north gate.

Jasmine rushed through the door of her home.
"Great, Cassie's probably already doing her tour and I promised I would be there for her." Jasmine opened her door to her room, grabbed her computer and flopped down on her bed. She plugged in the glasses that where required to play the game.
"Why do these things have to look so odd?" She said as she put them on. She then pressed a button and saw a flash of light appear before her eyes. She clicked on her venomancer and closed her eyes.
"I hate this." She muttered when she felt her head go dizzy. Once the dizziness was gone, she laughed as she entered the city.
"Better find Cassie. Shes probably not in the City of the Lost like me shes almost- Oh! There she is! I wasn't expecting that." she said with a grin and took off running to catch up with Cassie.

Jake stood in the doorway of his home watching Cassie run as fast as she could toward her house. All he could do was chuckle. He knew that she had set her watch ahead 10 minutes this morning. She'd told him that day during school when they stopped to get some books from their lockers. She had seemed to be in a good mood, but as for him he felt rather mischievous. He also knew that it was her turn for glitch duty because he'd asked her dad, one of the main designers of the game that he loved to play. He decided that seeing as it was her turn for glitch duty, he would give her a major one.
Jake walked into his room. All he had inside was a computer, his bed and a bookshelf. Sitting down at his computer he plugged in the glasses that where needed to play the game. Logging in, he clicked on his character, the only male venomancer, he had named Glitch. Normally venomancers could only be female, but Jake was one of the best hackers that ever lived, at least in his opinion, so he could do almost anything he set his mind to. He felt slightly dizzy for a moment then he was in the game. Looking around he saw Cassie's character running out the north gate summoning his pet nine tail fox he ran after her.

Cassie scanned through the Request quest list available to the Master guild. Request quests were only given to the Master guild because of it being composed of people employed in the game. They were the ones to do the in-game programing and occasionally settle a dispute between players. Pretty much just your regular rule enforcers. The only down side to this was that the character you used for your job had to be different from the one you did your regular gaming with. This was due to privileges given to the guild so they could do they're jobs. The way these characters would game level or rank would be by completing the requests instead of just a quest.
This being said, Cassie had more than just her venomancer, Casdril. She was just her work cloths, if you will. She had one or two characters of a different class she played more regularly.
“First on my to do list...” She scanned the list quickly until a request for the area around Broken Bridge caught her eye. It wasn't too far from there and the order was easy enough to fill. Apparently a Abnormal Cactopod was acting a little more abnormal than usual. Low level players would attack it, thinking they easily had the upper hand, but then it would run away, regenerate all it's health then come back to finish the unsuspecting victims off. Cassie sighed.
“Well, hopefully it's just some idiot in the office making a little glitch and we don't have another hacker on our hands... Though knowing the way things go...” Her thought trailed off as she heard fast steps behind her seemingly trying to catch up. Turning around she saw a bright familiar face. Waving at her friend Cassie shouted out to her.
“Hey, Tamer! Long time no see huh?” She said with a grin on her face.

Jake unfolded Glitch's wings from behind his cloak and flew up high to keep a close watch on Casdril and Tamer without being seen. After flying a little bit he dropped into the river next to broken bridge. It would take a while for the two to get there so he decided to kill some mobs while he waited. They weren't a high level, but he wanted the money.
Getting bored of killing the mobs, he slowly climbed out of the river. Right in front of Casdril and Tamer. Glitch gave a small yelp and reflexively jumped back into the river swimming under the bridge for cover.

"If she would stop running I might be able to catch up!" Huffed Jasmine as she bent over for a moment trying to catch her breath, but looked up from the ground when she heard Cassie say something.
A grin flashed across Jasmines face, "Yeah right! I saw you like just 15 minutes ago." Jasmine stood upright and started walked the rest of the way toward her friend.
"So where are the people that your gonna tour around for a bit?" Jasmine said as she glanced around them area curiously, not even giving Cassie a chance to respond to her first comment.

“Heh...Yeah...About that.” Casdril smiled sheepishly. “Turns out I get to clean up some defective monsters today. You're welcome to tag along though! I hear they can be a handful.” Her statement was followed by the sound of a few loudly cursing players who had just resurrected back in the fort-like area.
“And that sounds like my cue.” Casdril jogged over to one of the players in question. “Hey! You seen any weird monsters around here?”
“Finally someone form the Master guild. We've been sending that request for hours!” Came the exasperated answer form the wolf headed Barbarian.
“Yeah...We noticed. So, where's the problem?” The Barbarian ruffly gestured in the direction of the grassy hill just beyond the wall. “The Minkii?” she asked hesitantly.
“Yes! Now go kill it or whatever you do!”
“Ok! Ok! Geez, no need to be so touchy. It's just a game.” Casdril muttered under her breath as she strode toward the brown dog like creature. Maybe the people where the monsters her guild-mates referred to when they said they were hard to handle. As she got closer to the Minkii it began to growl. Pulling a cube out of her bag, she proceeded with more caution.
“There, there little guy. Lets try doing this without losing any life. Now shall we? All I have to do is take you back for reprogramming and you'll be good as new!” She said, trying to sooth the animal. Whether talking to it or not did any good was debatable. Ever so slowly, her hand with the cube in it drew closer to the creature and in return ever so slightly the growl and anger in the Minkii's eyes increased with ever inch gained.
“Yeah... I'm thinking I'm kinda stuck now....” She whispered to herself, but that was all the cue the Minkii needed to lunge at her.

Shadowtamer summoned her Sharptooth wolfing called Rage, while Cassie approached the Minkii. The Minkii lunged at Cassie.
"Rage go!" She yelled quickly while pointing at the Minkii.
Rage jumped in front of Cassie and toke the attack straight on, bitting at the Minkiis neck. The Minkii leaped back quick as a flash, he was mad! His lips curled up in a snarl, Rage Growled back, but didn't move.

Glitch looked over at Cassie and Shadowtamer. "Hmm, I guess they can handle this. In that case, I may as well get to my meeting on time." Glitch jumped up and started flying North. After a couple of minutes, snowy peaks started to appear. Near the top of one of these peaks was a cave. Here, he slowed and landed in front of it. A Legendary Creature met Glitch at the mouth. He could feel its warm, rotten breath pulsing against his face as it leaned down to see him better. Glitch coughed from the smell.
"What are you doing here?" Asked the monster. "I have an appointment." Glitch managed to get out while holding his breath.
"Very well go in." The monster gave one last blow of air before he turned to reveal the entrance. Glitch hurriedly stepped around the monster and entered.
"Sometimes I really think they made this game a little too real." he muttered
The cave was full of lit candles and at the far wall was a throne with a large door behind it. Sitting casually on the throne, was a cloaked figure. Glitch walked forward, stopping about 10 feet away . "So, what did you want? This hide out is a little much for a meeting don't you think?" The man on the throne gave a good natured smile.
"I want your help, Glitch, to bring about a twilight. It may be hard, but your skills are quite impressive. What do you say? Are you in?" Glitch smirked mischievously.
"I like a challenge." He thought for a moment "Hey, why not." "Good. There's something behind this door that might be of some help." Slowly, the door started to open and Glitch dissaperd into the darkness behind it.

Casdril let out a tense sigh still gripping the cube. Sure, you couldn't really die in the game, and sure, there was no pain, but it was the whole mentality of the thing.
“I guess I'm just going to have to go for it...” And with one quick move the cube was pressed against the Minkii's side. The animal began to glow and become transparent. That was the normal process when collecting inside programs. What wasn't normal, however, was the black mist that seeped out just before the program was completely contained by the cube. Casdril jerked her hand back. The mist moved quickly and soon entered bodies of the other creatures in the surrounding area. Their demeanor began to change, but just when it looked like it was going to be a intense fight, they were stripped to their frame form then vanished.
“Ok...That's disconcerting...” Casdril rubbed her hand uneasily as she scanned the now empty valley, then turned to Tamer while placing a hand on Rage's head. “Definitely not something we've had before. Unfortunately I can't tell if it was triggered from here or if it was planed. I'll have to figure that out when I log out. Meh, next quest to pass the time...” The request window appeared in front of her again.
“Bank system is being cleaned out in Archosaur.” She rolled her eyes “Not him again... Alright, I'm off.” she said and briefly closed her eyes to summon her black panther mount.
“You can come if you want. Though I'm sure it's not as fun as a nice little tour.” Casdril smirked jokingly at her friend and was on her way.

Rage eased up at the touch of Casdril's hand and started to wag his tail. Shadowtamer looked around the now vacant landscape only to see hills, grass and crystal blue water. She continued to look around the valley as she listened to Casdril's gabbing.
"Yeah I'll go even if its not as fun "as a nice little tour" ." She remarked, then summoned her black stallion.
"I wonder where Jake is." She thought to herself as she galloped after Casdril. Shadowtamer looked behind her to see if any creatures had come back, but was disappointed to see the still vacant terrain. Usually some of them would have come back by now. She turned her head back to Casdril who didn't seem to want to slow down for anything.

Glitch's nose wrinkled as he entered the room. It was only lit by an eerie green glow given off by some of the rocks in the wall. In the center of the room was a ring on a pedestal. Glitch turned and looked at the cloaked figure. "What is this?" Glitch asked calmly. "This is a test to see if you are worthy of the ring. All you have to do is put it on and see what happens." answered the man in the cloak.
Glitch was curious as he slipped on the ring. As soon as it was on his finger a violent lighting storm broke out above the mountain. Everyone in the mountain ran outside and looked up. Climbing down the mountain toward them, was a large beast with smooth brown-green skin. Crawled down on its legs and four arms, short chains were attached to each arm and its head was smooth and round. It didn't seem to have any eyes or ears, the only thing on its face was its mouth, which he opened to let out a deafening roar and elicited a rain of saliva on all those standing below. The cloaked man looked at Glitch and said "His name is Thardoth he searches for the ring to destroy it. The person who defeats him and posses the ring can summon him, however, controlling him is a much harder matter. If you best, him he's yours." "Fun." Glitch muttered as he looked up.

Casdril sighed as old man James rambled on in an attempt to try and sell goods to her from the black market he was running. The room, of course, was dark and if it hadn't been for a few tiny holes in the wall letting the sunlight through, Casdril probably wouldn't be able to see anything he was trying to con off on her.
“Oh!” James continued. “And here we have a lovely sword from the twilight forge. It's balanced quite nicely as you can see. I think it mi-”
“James, you know why I'm here.” She cut him off with her long suffering tone. Her exasperation was clear. “We've been through this before.” Casdril folded her arms across her body as a cool breeze swept through the tiny holes in the wall. “I just don't understand why you do this. There's a quota for how many rare objects you receive a month. You don't need to go out and steal from the others.”
“Ah, but where is the fun in that, Cas? There's no authenticity! No real life in the trade! You can't deny taking advantage of this shop once or twice yourself.” James smiled with a toothy grin. The girl's fox ear twitched as she sputtered.
“Hey I was- That's not- That was an entirely different character!” Casdril was getting quite defensive of her own moral reasoning for “taking advantage of the shop” as James had so quaintly put it. She continued on—not ready to give up her defense. “Also, I would remind you that every time I bought something it would mysteriously dissipate only days afterward.” Her eyes narrowed accusingly at the “tradesman.”
“Only the forged ones, my dear. There is only ever a temporary excess of goods. Quite frankly I don't see what the problem is. You still have that wand I sold you a few summers back, no?” James looked at her calmly. Casdril palmed her forehead.
“We're getting off subject! My point is, stop bank scavenging. You know what will happen if we catch you again.”
“Oh, yes, yes... You do know I'll just come back under a different name.”
“Not my problem!” She sang out behind her, waving her hand at him as she stepped out of the shack. The death of her, that's what he would be. No matter how hard they tried, he always managed to weasel his way back in to the program. She gave one last sigh and looked around. Where had Tamer gotten to? This was Achosaur after all, the biggest city on the map. There were shops of all kinds to hold your interest in the West District. It was also the one place you were probably guaranteed to get lost in at least a dozen times, even if you were using the map.
Of course, this was no time for shopping. Casdril straightened her cloth armor and began to walk toward the gate not too far away. All of the sudden she gasped quietly. Something caught her eye and she began to leisurely stroll toward the booth. Suddenly red warnings and alarms were going off all around Casdril vision screen.
The alarms screamed phrases in her ears. “Abnormal weather in Avalanche Canyon! Unauthorized life form program activated!”
She jumped at least three feet into the air. A squeak somewhat resembling a scream escaping her lips. It was the first time such a loud warning had made itself known. Amused chuckles and smirks were thrown in her direction. To everyone else it had been a completely spastic action. She proceeded to the gate again, but this time avoiding eye contact as she passed by the city's occupants.
Once she was out in the open Casdril looked back at the alarms. She was so startled that she had forgotten to read what they were actually for.
“Abnormal weather...and a unauthorized creature? I just couldn't get a normal day, huh? This must be some sort of initiation joke or something.” She tried to catch her breath. “Oi, I better go check it out anyway.” The song “On the Road Again” began playing in her mind as she journeyed northward.

Shadowtamer wondered through Achosaur aimlessly. She hummed a tune to herself that she had heard while passing a group of people. She suddenly stopped and slapped her forehead in frustration. "Great!! How is it that when ever I'm here I either get lost or lose Casdril. However this time, I, have managed to do both!" She sighed, looking around in question. She saw a high level barbarian and walked over to him. "Hey can you help me? I'm always getting lost in this city and need help out." She asked quickly wanting to get the answer as soon as possible. He grinned slightly.
"Sure, I use to get lost a lot to. Which direction are you going?" He asked looking around. "I just need to get out, if you can do that I can get to where I need to." She answered smiling. He smiled back and summed his sting ray. "Come on." He said. She let him pick her up and they flew up over the city. Shadowtamer opened a chat with Casdril, "Where are you? I got lost again..." She asked Casdril through the chat, while looking down at the city.

Thardoth opened his mouth wide and a large energy ball began to form. Glitch looked up the mountain into the face of the monster.
"Man, that is one scary monster. Well, I guess I have no choice but to fight it." he mumbled. Glitch's attention was drawn back to the monsters mouth as the energy ball was released and flew down the mountain with a loud rumble. Glitch began to run up the mountain narrowly spinning around the energy ball. As he drew closer to the monster he reached into his cloak and pulled out a wooden magic sword.
"Should I use a wizard, cleric, or veno skill, I think I'll use..." His thought was interrupted by one of the monsters four arms slamming him into a rock then to the ground, pinned him there. Glitch's face was contorted with pain.
"Dang this is going to be harder than I thought." Glitch struggled and managed to free one of his hands which soon began to glow orange.
"Die." He said to the monster. A pyrogram flew from his finger tips. Thardoth flinched as it exploded in his face allowing Glitch to get free from the hand pinning him down. Glitch jumped up into the air and pulled a dagger from his cloak. He threw the dagger, pinning one of Thardoth's chains to the ground.
"Wow. He's strong. I guess I'll just have to limit his movements and keep running around until a Cassie gets here. I know she must have seen the storm." Glitch thought.

Shadowtamer's voice echoed a little in Casdril's ears as she continued making her way to the site of the disturbance.
"Where are you? I got lost again..."
“Sorry about that...” was about all Casdril could get out as she gawked at the scene in front of her. “Just go north. Ya can't miss it. In fact, I would say the sooner you get, here the better. I'm going to need some help with this one.” She heaved a sigh and analyzed the situation.
This was just way too tricky to handle on her own. A unauthorized character fighting an unauthorized monster in an unpredictable storm with another unidentifiable character at the top of the cliffs. As if to taunt her all the more, the creature proceeded to fired an energy ball.
“...I think I've have nightmares like this when I've over-gamed.” she winced a little at the thought. Pulling out a cube from her bag she started stealthily towards the hill. If she was lucky she would be able to stay unnoticed by the huge thing until it was too late for it. It's attention already seemed to be on the barbarian character who was having a harder time dodging at this point. It looked like he'd been at it for a while now.
Carefully, Casdril made her way from tree to tree until there were none left to hide behind. Next it was all about being quiet and staying in the monster's blind spots. This obviously was not an easy task considering all the thrashing and running around it was doing.
“I knew I should have chosen assassin class...” she mumbled to herself. She was almost there. Just a few more steps and she could get him. The animal was still running around, trying to figure out why he couldn't move far. Casdril was just getting ready to jump out from behind she bolder when it suddenly stopped. This, of course, startled Casdril and she hesitated as well. The creature sniffed the air then turned to completely face her.
“Crap! Really!?” she shouted in annoyance as a bright glow was being aimed at her. She rolled behind another bolder just as her former hiding place was all but disintegrated. Slowly peeping out from behind her new rock, she looked for the other strange figure that was there before. No doubt they had a connection to this. Thinking she saw movement out of the corner of her eye, she was about to look at more fully when her barrier was suddenly blown to bits. Nicely sized fragments bombarded her as she flew back wincing at the impact.
Wait. That hurt ? She stared down at her body dumbly. She had turned her pain setting off before logging in. She never understood why you would want to feel pain in something that was meant to be entertaining, but apparently some people thought that way. Why then had the points of impact hurt? Before she could figure it out, she was pulled out of her thoughts by the barbarian yelling at her.
“MOVE!” Was all he had to say and Casdril dived to the side, narrowly missing the next assault.

She took a deep breath and looked down from her place high on the mountain where she was crouched. She was a Venomancer, but not like the others, resting on her back in a sling, was a great sword, a massive hunk of silver metal. Her armor was heavy leather shaped to fit her chest, her belly and part of her back were exposed all but for the chain mail that hung from her top. Two leather straps were over her shoulderes, connecting to her top, the rest of it slipped down her spine, and flared out at the bottom where it connected to her leggings, and left a hole for her tail. Over this was a jointed spine forged from the strongest metal. Her legs were covered from hip to mid thy in leather, plate armor covered her hips. Her boots were leather going up to her knees coverd in plate armor. Her hair was long, and colored like fire, her eyes the color soft amber and warm hershey chocolate. Her full pink lips curved in a slight smile as she reached over her shoulder for the hilt of her precious blade. As her graceful hand closed around the leather bound hilt, something moved at her side. She stood in one fluid movement, at her side was a black wolf, with glowing red eyes.Horns curved from the beast's skull and saber like fangs hung below his jaw. Behind her stood a horse, just as black, he was tacked in deep gray and silver, with armor down his neck, and on his belly. Attached to the back of the saddle was a long black cloak lined in very dark red, the hood fanned out over his rump. It was obviously something fo his rider to dawn in bad weather or at night. Her hand slid from the sword as she turned. With relative ease she placed a foot in the saddle's sturup and threw her leg over the stallion's back. She took the reins in her left hand and nudged him with her heels. The stallion lurched forward, massive hooves thundering on the uneven ground. He leaned back, his haunched nearly on the ground, he slid, carefully asuring that his rider was seated. The Gread Horse moved down the rocky mountain, fierce brown eyes fixed on the beast below. Howling, like thecry of wind on a full moon echoed around them. Her wolf bounded beside them, lips pealed back exposing huge curved fangs. Both animals were bread for war. When the stallion's hooves found flat ground, his rider reached for her sword. Her hand found it and pulled it free. She brandised the blade madly at first, but as they drew near the beast, she held her hand steady. The creature raised two of its front legs up off the ground and tried to grab the Venomancer. She ducked and evaded his grasp. She pulled the stallion to the right, his hooves sliding in the dirt as he strugled to make the tight turn his master asked of him. He launched forward again, this time ducking under one of the beasts arms. The Venomancer urged her mount closer the next time they passed beneth the beast. She gripped her sword tightly and braced for the impact. The sword sunk into the beast's inner upper arm, its weighted tip driving it deeper. As the stallion moved she used the momentum to loose the blade from its mark. The wolf leaped, fangs flashed as he grabbed the now open flap of fles and skin. He pulled down hard, rending it to the beast's elbow, releasing his grip only when he was flung near ten feet away.Under his rider's guidence the stallion slid and turned again, this time racing toward another Venomancer.

ShadowTamer smiled, "Fun." She whispered then looked at the Barbarian. "Hey could you go north?" She asked. He nodded and started heading north. They soon came upon some strange looking clouds. "That's, odd. These clouds aren't usually here." The Barbarian said looking very confused. He brought his ray lower and the scene soon became clear."Oooooooh, this is going to be interesting." She said then looked below her and smiled. "Drop me right here." She said quickly, the Barbarian did as she asked just as quickly.
There was a loud thud as ShadowsTamers feet hit the ground. She took her wand and a green glow started to form around it and her. She pointed it at the monster and muttered some words. A green light struck the monster and he swung around quickly swinging his arm at her. "Eeeep!" She screamed and ducked, "Rage!" She screamed. The monsters hand started to swing back around for another try. Rage appeared just as the arm was about to hit ShadowTamer. Rage bit the monsters arm and held on with all his might as the monster started flailing his arm wildly trying to rid of the new pest.

OOC: I'm not a barb I'm a human.
BIC: Glitch turned and saw the wolf being waved from the monsters arm.
"Great now I have to stay around and help these people although that one looks like she wants to destroy me with one of her cube." Glitch thought as he looked at one of the venos attacking the monster.
Acting quickly he pulled two daggers out of his cloak that were hooked together by chains, he threw one at a boulder and the other at the monster. His dagger dug deeply into the rock while the other one dug deeply into the monsters bone. The monster screamed in pain and put his attention back on Glitch. Glitch quickly summoned another one of his pets, a large ghost like creature and sent him to attack. The ghost shocked the monster with electricity while Glitch slowly began to slink away.
