((Not sure if my setting is very specific, but really, a thick forest in the middle of anywhere is fine by me. Feel free to choose a more precise setting if you wish. x.X))
BIC-
The girl's vicious eyes lingered over her dense surroundings, hardly alighting on one surface before drifting wearily to the next. Seated placidly on a jutting tree root, her legs perched loosely on the arching surface as she steadied herself somewhat with her hands, she felt boredom eating away at her.
A faded khaki coat adorned her shoulders loosely, opened to expose a form-fitting, sports bra-like garment underneath. With her midsection unclothed, a set of matching khaki-colored pants hung from her hips, with a fringe of black material lining them beneath her abdomen; a set of black boots sat beneath the baggy jeans, for the majority hidden by the folds in the fabric.
A caressing, timid breeze cooled her face and riffled her waist length, straight silver hair, warding off the heat of the thick forestland. The thick, dirt-clotted root serving as her throne bore an unnatural twist, as if it had been effortlessly pried up from its resting place to accommodate the tall, lean figure - clumps of gnarled roots and sod still clung to the heavy root's underside. A convenient parting in the forest's overlapping canopy of green filtered in light, shifting as it bathed the girl in a pool of warmth.
Expressionless, the young woman blinked her large, luminous lime-green eyes. Still no plausible reason for her to abandon her site, when a more populated setting would prove to her disadvantage - already the powerful organization entitling itself as "APCARP" was unleashing platoons of soldiers on her, so there was no foretelling how large a congregation of lower-ranked Powers awaited her away from her fortress of nature. Sheer quantity was likely to be her downfall if she strayed from her easily-manipulated forest.
But a cold beverage other than water accumulated from the air would be a gift to her parched mouth, along with a greasy, fattening burger. Her eyes opened again, narrowed in fierce annoyance. If it wasn't for the ignorance of the common humans, she wouldn't find herself driven into naturally-humid (she took care of that quickly, sapping the water vapor from the air) jungles of looping vines, dense trees packed together, and dirt every way she turned.
Letting her eyes latch onto the blood-splattered trunk of one of the closer trees, around ten yards away, the Elementalist tugged a strand of velvety platinum hair behind her ear. It fell out immediately. She had calmly submerged the corpses of her foes with the loose, damp soil thus far...but eventually she'd have to move deeper into the lair of creepers and nettles and vines.
It wouldn't be long before she lost her short temper and paved a clear path through the sticky area towards where she was headed. This idea appealed to her - she could return the flora to its previous position once she had settled down once more, after all.
But she was tired as hell. Every hour or so for the last three days, they came. Wielding a range of abilities that would satisfy anyone's curiosity of Powers' diversity, tromping blithely through the undergrowth. She sensed them before they were anywhere near her, quite literally using the trees as her eyes and ears.
Kyanmaru tugged on one of her jacket's nifty lengths of material hanging off, interested by a bead of blue encircling it. Two strands of cloth hung from either of the stylish pockets on each of her sleeves, as well as a various assortment of pockets on her pants' legs. Distracting, but she appreciated the way they looked.
The breeze flitted by once again, an object of her whim, and ruffled her long hair once again. Strange to think that until recently, when she had accidentally presented her abilities in more than dismissable phenomenon (such as keeping leaves afloat after they had fallen from their branches), APCARP hadn't even existed to her. Now they were so interested it was ridiculous.
Were they that starved for destructive power that they ignored blatantly-strange characters, but hunted those with heightened gift with a vengeance?
A distasteful grin creeped across her face as Kyan held up one hand, palm facing up, and watched a sphere of crystalline water take form in it without hesitation.
((Sorry if the quality is low, but....-shrugs-...no real excuse. Kyanmaru (Kyan) is entirely able to manipulate anything related to nature and/or wildlife. Animals in general are also easily controlled by her, but mostly she utilizes the most common natural elements.. x.X;;)
