Not a chirp, not a whisper, not a sound. For several hundred feet an eerie green light spread out across the scorched and damaged land. At the center of the light stood a gnarled tower, the same ghostly glow peeking out between the weathered bricks that made up it's walls. At the top of the tower was a large glass dome with a swirling vortex of light spinning within. If one were to peer long enough at the strange creation it almost looked as though faces could be seen twisting and swirling among the lights.
The inside of the tower was almost blindly bright as light spewed down from the vortex via a hole in the ceiling. A spiral staircase wound it's way around the side of the tower. At the top was a large wooden door which lead to the strange matter that could be seen from so far off. On the floor of the tower was a small trapdoor with a plain black handle. Beneath the door was a thin dark stairwell that lead down in to the darkness, the walls were damp and covered with moss. The stairs themselves we large and slippery.
At the bottom stood another door, also very plain, above it however a symbol could be seen glowing faintly. The symbol was of three, silver, interlinking triangles. Behind the door was a large well lit room with several large book cases against the walls and a desk with four or five small vials of various shapes and colours in the corner. A small oak chest also sat on the desk, the hinges and the trim were of a dull gold colour and a heavy looking padlock hung on the front, there was no indication of what may be inside.
There were three doors which lead to other rooms on two of the four walls. The first two were side by side and much like the buildings other doors were plain and lacking any kind of detailing or anything that might make them stand out. The third door which was on the other side of the room by itself was made of a darker wood and had a large iron gargoyles head in the center. The eyes held two large gems, one a sapphire and the other an emerald. The door was covered in carvings of strange inscriptions and symbols.
From beneath the door shone the same kind of light that filled the tower above. The light began to dim as the heavy door slowly opened. A young girl probably around 17 years old walked out holding a a large sphere that swirled and spun inside much like the vortex that was the towers beacon. As she moved toward the center of the room she was followed by a mage clad in blood red robes, a large hood shadowed his face.
"Staar, once you have added the souls to the vortex we will continue with your studies. If you are to learn my magic you will have to work hard." Dente said gesturing to one of the large bookcases.
"O fcourse my lord, as you wish." Staar replied softly before rushing upstairs. Dente smiled, though his hood would have made it impossible to see, his work was finally paying off.

Across the world TV programs and newspapers were filled with reports of disappearances. Masses of people had gone missing in the past few months, most of them mages or other people of supernatural powers but a large number were just ordinary people. There seemed to be nothing that connected those that were missing, besides the abduction, it was as though they were picked at random. The police forces across the world had no idea who could be responsible or why the people were taken.
Governments were rowing, blaming each other for the goings on. Threats of war were soon on the lips of the world leaders. Countries were crippled as people refused to work, scared to leave their homes for fear of being the next victim. Something had to be done.
Six turned off his television, the reports were on again, hundreds more were missing. It seemed it was time gather the troops once more and find out what the hell was going on.
"Guess I'll start at Zeb's place, there are always people there. No doubt they'll all have seen the reports." Six thought to himself. Throwing on his trench coat he headed out of his house, locking the door behind him. At a brisk pace he started toward Zebedee's house hoping that somebody there would be interested in checking out these strange abductions.
OOC: My first RP to be started on the exodus, anybody should feel free to jump in. Don't expect a shed load of fighting, there will be some but not until it gets into the story a bit.
Oh and I will get round to my other RP commitments soon I hope. Sorry for the delays people.
