Aurora was sat, his legs crossed on some flat topped mountain. His eyes closed in deep meditation; he was still trying to find it, the portal back to his home world. He had been for years, ever since he had been banished to Earth. Yes, he did love it on Earth, but he had searched for the portal ever since he had arrived, he had to get back. His mind searched for every rift possible with trace’s of adept magic, a lead to get home.
Aurora sighed, again nothing, he went to get up, and then it hit him, like a ton of bricks. He felt the rift open; he could feel the magic of his native culture pour out of it, spinning to his feet he swung around a massive portal of pure obsidian energy stood shimmering. Aurora cried out in joy, which lasted seconds when a massive fire ball shot through the portal and smashed into his chest, smashing him into the ground. The fire didn’t stop it branched out like a whip, curling around his wrists and ankles holding them in place on the ground, another wrapped around his waste, again holding him in place, Aurora screamed in agony, he never liked fire, obviously.
A tall figure now stepped out of the portal, a blood red robe draped across his frame, a small golden crown a top his head. The King of the Adepts, Mindus.
“You,” Aurora spat, his voice ragged, the fire was draining him, his weakness, it always had a brutal effect on him.
“Yes me, Aurora, your king.” Mindus sneered, his voice dripping with evil, “You’ve been a nuisance for far too long, when I banished you I thought you’d be too weak to carry on, a miraculous come back it seems, you are very powerful, but not for long.”
Aurora struggled, Mindus was powerful, maybe more powerful than Aurora himself. Aurora indeed had been defeated once by this evil king, when he was thrown from his own world, to Earth, battered and broken.
Mindus strode towards him, reaching into his robe he revealed a blue dagger, it shone with a white light, beautiful yet evil and menacing at the same time. “You could of joined me you know, when I offered all those years ago,” Mindus whispered as he crouched low over Aurora. “Your chance has gone, good bye old friend.” Mindus plunged the dagger into Aurora’s heart, who screamed out in pain, the very liquid ice that was his blood was sucked out of his body, it being replaced with real blood. Mindus stood once the deed was done. He looked to the sky, almost as if he was waiting for something, waiting for someone.
Aurora lay still on the ground; the fire curled and died away, his wrists, ankles and waist burnt badly. Aurora was alive, but barely. But now Aurora was no longer an adept, he was one with Earth now, he was a human, his powers lost too him.
OOC: Please consider joining this topic, as it has been planned and it's a big step in Aurora's develpment, yes I did say I wasn't going to be RPing with Aurora, but I've decided to put this storyline in motion. THe develpment will be at the start of this topic, as it will give Aurora time to deal with it throughout the rest of it.

The ground on the mountaintop rippled, seeming almost to melt like water. The black and white figure of Prime suddenly stood across Mindus, his power like tendrels of liquid death snaking towards the man. "That wasn't wise." He said, his voice almost cracking the stone around him. His white blade rose, as he prepared to strike. Mindus, however, whipped his arm forwards. Prime frowned, then looked at his chest. A blue dagger was half emerged in his blood. He could feel new blood pumping into him, a famialiar feel. Adept blood...
He shivered as the realization came, but it was already to late. Prime was frozen in a battle stance, time moving so slow within his ice casket that the electrical signals in his brain were to slow to make a thought. Minus laughed, "How pathetic, your only weakness is your only friend." He said, walking forwards. He renched the mithril blade from Primes hands. "Accept for this one of corse." He said, almost reverently. He opened a portal to his home demension, and walked through it, closing it behind him. Accept for half of Primes sword, which was rent asunder. The ice statue of Prime exploded, leaving nothing save red ice.

At the base of that same mountain, in an elf village, there was a sudden splash in the cave of the sacred waters. Several of the elves were taken by curiosity, and took long legged strides to the caves and its waters. There they beheld a naked elf with long white hair and green eye's climb out of the water. An elderly elf, whom the villagers all respected as an ancient prophet, walked forwards, presenting the newborn elf clothing in the elven style, as well as a Highbourn Elven blade. Several of the villagers began to murmer at such a gesture, and the nobles present began to swell with outrage.
The the elderly elf spoke, taking all words away from those present. "Welcome back Prime, you are now as fate had intended, with no man or gods interfearing in your souls affairs." He said, then kneeled. Prime blinked, and pulled his new clothing on. "Get up old man, I was never a god even when I was." He said, strapping the new sword onto his belt. The old elf huffed, "No you weren't, but you will be soon enough." He said, then turned and walked away. Prime flexed his new muscles, they felt oddly small though comperably powerful. He was quite think now, and tall. The pointed ears were somewhat disconcerting but he didn't pay them to much mind. He looked up at the peak of the cliff. "How the hell am I gonna get up there?" He muttered, then cursed. All his power was gone, he'd have to climb.
"Great, just great." He said, then turned around. The crowd was still there, looking at him. "Um, hi. Sorry if I deformed your mountain, I was only trying to help my friend." He said tensely. The elves bowed to him as one, then went back to their normal buisness. "Hmmm, odd." Prime commented, then climbed up the cave wall to the hole in the roof, and began to scale the mountain.

Aurora groaned and rolled, images flashing in his minds eye, the portal, the dagger, the pain. All he could think about was the pain, his veins felt like they were on fire themselves. His eyes flickered over, the light stinging his eyes, his hands came up to shield them, before he sat up, one hand feeling his chest through the hole in the fabric.
“No wound.” Aurora murmured. “What happened?” He asked himself before shakily getting to his feet, his halo had gone, his eyes no longer glowed but were a natural grey, and his hair was silver, and reached down to the middle of his back. More images flashed this time, the dagger came forward again, and Aurora realised. “He didn’t, he wouldn’t…” Aurora moaned, he fell to his knees. He was no longer and adept, the gene inside him sucked dry, he had human blood flowing through him now. Aurora held his hand out, and tried with all his might to summon his sword, nothing happened. He had lost his powers.
“No!” Aurora cried, “All that I’ve worked for, to protect this world and this is how I’m repaid.” He shouted to the heavens. Aurora pushed himself to his feet again, looking around, he had no where to go. His powers gone, he would probably be shunned by his old friends, why would they come to him now, he was no one. Just like back on his old world, no one, no one came to his aid when he led the attack on the castle, to stop the royal line killing most of the powerful adepts. No one helped him when he was banished. He was alone once more…

Prime finally crested the mountain top, coming back to Aurora. Prime was surprised to find Aurora looking dejected, and lonely, and defeated. "I don't like that look Aurora." Prime said, going over to his old friend. "It speaks to much of uncontrolled fear." He sat down cross legged beside Aurora. "And hey, look at the surprise I got!" Prime said, twitching his ears. "I'm a friggin elf! And I have freckles now! Go figure huh?" He said joshingly, knudging his friend. Then he got a little more serious. "But seriously, whats wrong Aurora. The only other time I saw you like this was when me and the crew dragged you out of hell."

Aurora looked up at Prime, one of his friends, the friend who had stood with him all the way to the end, he thought Prime had gone to a better place, back to where he belong, his house in the universe somewhere.
“Prime,” Aurora chocked, “He took my powers away, that bastard took them all away, I’m a human now.” Aurora explained, he lowered himself to his knees again. “I’ve tried, they just won’t work, I can’t concentrate, I don’t have the knowledge anymore, and he took it from me.” Aurora spat, mentioning Mindus.

"Mmmm." Prime grunted. "He took mine from me as well, didn't you hear what I just said? I'm an elf now, no better off than you." He drew his new sword, which had an extra long handle, almost as long as the blade, and a wicked curve. "Look at this weed wacker. That asshole even destroying my blade. Or, I suppose I should say, he killed Primus. My better half, or worse. I'm not sure, my memories are hazy, they're receding now that my mind is to small to remember how great I was." He shrugged, putting the sword away. Somehow he didnt think it'd be a good idea to mention that it was Aurora's blood which had stripped him of his own mantle. "Don't be to discouraged Aurora, we already know the path to greatness. All we have to do is walk it, and see where the rode takes us after all the erosion and chaos time has wrought upon its path."

“And where are we to go? What am I to do?” Aurora asked, he could see no good side of what Prime was suggesting, “I relied heavily on my powers, and the adept blood helped me fight, it kept me strong. I do not have that now.” He explained.

"Hey get out of your sulk man, I started out as a god. You had to work your way up far more than I did." Prime said heavily. "If anyone should be freaked by these circumstances, then it'd be me." He slowly stood up. "As for where to go and what to do. We can either visit old friends or train. Its up to you, but we'll have to get around to training eventually. Hold your head high Aurora, your racial aspect of total control of the elements has been taken from you, but it was through magic that you controlled those elements, and through magic you may regain your power, whether your are an adept now or not."

"He's right Aurora, though you may not have your powers, you do have your life. There is nothing more precious or more powerful than that." Six said dropping from his black fire disk above Aurora and Prime. He had headed for the mountain after he felt a huge surge of power appear as if from nowhere. The power was gone now and he could feel that neither Prime nor Aurora held the kind of energy inside them that they once had.
"The powers you held as an adept may have been taken from you but nobody can take the true power that we all have inside of us. You have to awaken those powers and remember that your friends are beside you every step of the way no matter how long the journey may be. " Six said placing a hand on Aurora's shoulder.

“You’re right.” Aurora smiled slightly, “You’re both right.” He murmured getting up, and turning to the both of them, “Thanks,” he whispered. Aurora turned, and looked to the horizon, he would have to work for respect again, and he would have to work for his magic, his life back again. But he would enjoy doing it, like he did the last time.
OOC – Meh, couldn’t think of anything to post.

"Right." Prime said cooly. "Well I'm off to pursue a legend, so I'll see you guys later. Or maybe you'll catch up, hell if I know. Anyways, peace!" He said, jumping down the side of the mountain in large bounds. Much of his pyhsical strength remained, it seems.
