With the end of Scene Two, that's all of the first episode done! Awesome work, guys. It didn't even take us two weeks to get through those. Mad legit.
I'm going to give Ish a rest for a day or two, let us all take an unstressed look at our other RPs, but the next episode will begin quite shortly. I'll probably send out the PM briefings tonight just so that you guys can register any last-minute questions ahead of time before those scenes begin proper.
In the meantime, Scene Six is entitled "Auguste Tylor is the First Character to Correctly Interpret the Rumor".

Sweet, sweet choice; Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack is the shit. But let me recommend this also. If Ishkabibble were a series, this would be its intro theme.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCcpoYbodoMReminded me of Ishkabibble, at least from most of my cast's standpoint. Not jazzy enough to pass Photu's muster, but "All of a sudden the conversation turns And everyone concerned is looking down Guilty party is right here in the room But no one can assume the high ground Oh it almost caught up with you Caught up with you then Oh you should've thought of this my friend If you knew it was wrong why did you do it You don't know, you didn't mean to, it slipped your mind And it feels so good to feed a habit You're just making the most of your borrowed time" I mean, c'mon, sure, I know the song isn't about counterfitting, but dang if it doesn't fit.

So, anyways, can't wait to get over this hump soon. Seems like between SV and myself we're kinda in a scheduling logjam.
But, on the bright side, it does let Blood put his post in Shrinking Feeling up and get his cast all prepped for the right scenes. So it's not ENTIRELY bad. Just kinda frustrating.
I'm working on my Ishkafive post. Not sure if it'll be up tonight, though. I'm making sure to get posts in 6 and Pyre done, since those should be pretty light writing.

Yeah, I have most of that post done so I will hopefully have it done soon. Just a bit of difficulty wording it how I want.

(tbh, I have been working on a post in Ishkafive since Sabbath ended. But between a post in Crystal and six pages of writing in another project with Clicker, I just didn't have the juice to finish the dang thing off.)
So, I must post in Ishkasix! (Yes, I have been in Self-Parody mode for about five days now.)

Ah, the Ishkafive post at last. Thanks a lot, Lee. Choobs, I guess you can write the actual collision occuring if you like.

Seems like between SV and myself we're kinda in a scheduling logjam. Sorry =( OH CRAP almost forgot to say that I enjoyed the Lackadaisy "Caravan" montage. "Caravan" is delightful. I've liked it since I played it sophomore year. Ahh, band nerd memories.

Did a little looking into that Caravan song... Wouldn't Perdido be another Juan Tizo composition contender? www.youtube.com/watch?v=91GUMufma20&feature=relatedI especially like this version, mostly due to the clapping in the end, which as I've admitted before, is my musical motif for Brogues. Granted, it's a bit too bright for earlybibble, but I think it does have merit.

Scene Six is, thank God, finally finished, for which reason I can reveal that the title of Scene Seven is "Massimo Giarrettiera Considers the Counterfeiter as a Lucrative Business Prospect".
Let's work real hard on finishing off those other two.

Scene Eight's title is "Natalie Happens Upon an Easy Answer to her Puzzlement Regarding the Dead Body".

Huh. I had a feeling that Natalie would be arriving soon.
Also, today at work, a thought hit me about one of my characters and a later scene in Ishkabibble. So I made a mental note to PM Photu, and right as that thought bubble concluded, the guy on the radio, out of nowhere, belts out an AWWWWWWW YEEEAAAAAAHHHHH
Pohatu's agents: They're everywhere, and they can read your brain.

I just want to make sure that everyone knows that Rie is taking a back seat in Ish4 and I probably won't be posting in it until the group moves out.

Out of curiosity, Mr. Hatu, which scene thusfar would you say best meets your vision for Ishkabibble? Is there any little touches that you've been adding that you think others might want to keep an eye out for, small details that would help tie the work together?

Good questions! Um, but I'm having some trouble with that first one because all of the scenes so far have incorporated elements that I either didn't anticipate at all or else started planning for only at the very last minute. I mean I didn't originally envision Rie kneecapping Phil in Scene One -- that came off a probably-joking PM from Choobs, but I rolled with it and wrote Phil's knee injury into Scene Three, thus giving Rie a checkpoint (or should I say BULLET POINT?? no? okay) to hit back in Scene One.
And then like, I had only the faintest idea how anyone was going to handle the confrontation in Scene Two -- all that stuff with Mandelbrot conducting experiments and stuff, that was unplanned, and definitely so was Lucas' ice destroying the entire apartment building at the end. And I didn't foresee the way Flo and Blaise would play off each other in Scene Three, or the fact that Bryan would need to pull a knife on Blaise (the scene was originally called "...Subsequently Held at Gunpoint"), which ended up adding a creepy-pervert note to his character. I didn't think Prime was going to take a wary/moralizing stance toward Terrian in Scene Four (but I like that, it fits with the overall theme), and I didn't know Joseph was going to be firing guns and burning papers in Scene Five, and I really had no idea what Sikes was going to be like until I started writing him in Scene Six (to say nothing of how badass Nopcsa suddenly turned out to be).
So yeah. Surprises all down the line. If there's a "scene that best meets my vision for Ishkabibble" so far, I'd say it's Scene Zero simply on the grounds that that's the scene that contains the fewest elements I wasn't expecting. But that's no fault of Q, whose minimalist writing is very effective, and anyway it doesn't mean Scene Zero is either the best or worst Ish scene so far.
I defs can't answer the second question in as much detail. There are a lot of little touches both in my own writing in Ishkabibble and in everyone else's, as you know well enough. I also like the little details outside of Ishkabibble that point in toward it. Like, I think I already said this but there are two points in Luxury Train Ride when the Giarrettieras mentioned characters that would be important to Ish even though I hadn't introduced them yet. Still haven't introduced one of them actually. Teasers and allusions! Seems they're all I live for on Archie Exie these days. Just wait 'til I upload my next batch of drawings.

Well, to be entirely fair, Joseph is ALWAYS firing guns and burning stuff. I sincerely doubt there's a topic anywhere featuring him that doesn't have both (or will not have both, seeing as he'll probably start a fire pretty soon in Shrinking.)
Oh wait, in Dregs of the Setting Sun, he did neither. He just showed up, and exitted the RP to loot an elderly couple's condo. But according to SV, there's no such topic.

That's because it doesn't. Whatever it is you're talking about is imaginary.

Oh my god Scene Four is over! Now I can reveal that the name of Scene Nine is, I think, "The Hotel Staff will Ultimately be Spared the Trouble of Cleaning Up the Mess in Room 126".
PMs will be sent out tomorrow, and we'll start the next trio in a few days. For now, I got another RP to start!
