Is Optima the one with the really narrow verticals? Brb, internet.
Ok, it's the sans with the inwardly concave verticalness, which was kinda what I was thinking of. Yeah, I don't like that one so much.
I DECLARE WAR ON YOUUUUU

P.P.S. Everybody had better get their asses over to Lackadaisy and read that shit. Pojatu and I discovered it years ago, and our lives have never been the same. I discovered it when Potatoh linked it and have been devouring it for the past several hours. I approve of it. Also of the word "ishkabibble," which after looking it up, I must agree is probably perfect for this RP. Has there been a relevant post made in Ishka1 since I last checked? I certainly hope so...! THE ANTICIPATION OH GOD IT KILLS ME

I think I'm finding the biggest flaw in Ishkabibble now is the black and grey morality. When Jonas, Alyssa, Tsubota, and Helen are the most moral characters in a plot, you might have issues.
Not saying they're bad, but we've got three complete monsters, a bunch of criminals, a few of the amoral-douchebag-mercenary types (as called in the Popularity poll), and then Blaise, who is completely amoral.
It just makes finding somebody to really root for hard, since even Terrian, ostensibly the most main-character-ish, enters the plot having betrayed a promise to Blaise, making a fortune by cheating the system and devaluing the economy as a whole, and dancing around telling Rhys that a lady friend of his is around.
Granted, as far as I know, ostensibly, Ishkabibble is about the conversion of Terrian from a simpering con man to a considerably more dynamic and empathetic figure. So hopefully, my feelings on this will clear up a little.
It's just a bit tough getting used to a plot where you can list the characters who'd be concerned about killing somebody, and they comprise less than a quarter of the overall cast.

Oh my goodness yes, that's definitely a big part of Ishkabibble. I'm not so sure it's a flaw of the story itself as much as the characters within it, but Black And Gray Morality is all over the place.

Sure....blame the characters.

I don't think I've had an upstanding citizen of a character since... well ever. At all.

Lies! He totally never mentioned Helen's name to Rhys.

Of course, Terrian looks better now that Scene 1 resolved, and it was revealed that no-nonsense Rie kneecapped Phil, not Terrian himself as it initially sounded like in the third topic. When Rie does something, it's just "She doesn't care."
Terrian kneecapping somebody though? Either he had really terrible aim twice, or he held them down with a plie of clones and did the deed.
So, yeah. Not as horribly amoral as he initially seemed. Though he still... has quite the list.

I'm really glad you say that. I never really consciously realized that there might be an implication Terrian himself busted a cap in Phil's knee, but I suppose I should have expected that. For such an assumption to be built up, and then disproven, shows that the Jigsaw Puzzle Plot setup is doing its job. I'm really glad about that.

Pretty sure Max was a prankster and a snarker. You know, like all my other characters.

So I do remember having a Jedi, and they're inherently upstanding citizens.
Anyway, I see nothing wrong with black and grey morality. It makes things darker and edgier.
I mean, look at Baccano. Everyone in there is a criminal at best.
Also, we need to make an animated series of this.

Hell yes we do.
Anyway, Scene One has concluded, and so the title of Scene Four has been added to the original post in this topic. To save you some time, that title is "Once Again Rhys Finds Himself Somewhat Awkwardly in the Midst of Older Acquaintances".
Once Scenes Two and Three are done as well, look forward to the commencement of Scenes Four to Six!

Scene Three has concluded, and Scene Five's title will be "Joseph and Tsubota's Vehicular Accident Occurs Five Minutes Off from Being Convenient".
Just waiting on Scene Two now, and it only needs a couple more posts.

Two things to say: Whoo hoo! Scene 3 was pretty awesome, and I've got at least another plot in the next wave. That's good thing to hear.
And also: Those crooks are so lucky they had a knifeman. Pissed off Blaise approaches Nightmare Fuel Unleaded territory, as I'm sure you'll all see in Whisper later on.

What really sucks right now is I have a few theories on how Ish will end.... but .... I can't figure out which ones are actual theories and which ones are actually things Pohatu told me about Ish over the summer that I forgot and that my subconscious is just now pushing to the surface. bleh

And it was all just a dream.

Ishkabibble ends with Pohatu blowing everybody's minds, via making the final scene being Terrian being born.
Which Sly happens to be present at via time machine, and manages to give Terrian powers via SCIENCE! and then a really young Blaise walks by.
And seeing this scene prompts her to take up her studies of the arcane. This leads to Abatis stirring up goings on in Hell, trying to find a way to capitalize on the potential shown by Ms. Euler. This leads to something involving Lucas and Scar, and sets the stage for Ishkabibble proper.
Oh, shit. Er, um, spoiler warnings?

Has to be after, cause Terrian and the Flying Spaghetti Monster have to make it first.
