So if you bothered to read my previous entry(read: HAPPEN TO WATCH MY DEVIANTART ACCOUNT) (I know many of you didn't) my dear dear HP Pavilion ze4420us laptop, affectionately christened Miranda, pretty much died yesterday. Well today, she's no better. This time she's giving me a disk read error upon startup. chkdsk /r didn't work, as it said something was unrecoverable.
Pretty much means I'll probably have to start her over from scratch.
Now, I absolutely do not want to lose my pictures. That's 4 years of memories stored in there and I'd be heartbroken if those were gone.
SO! With a little research, I found out that there are these things called external hard drive enclosures, which basically hold your computer's hard drive and let you transfer its files onto another computer via USB. This is a godsend, but they cost money. I was doing some research and I found that they're not as pricey as I expected them to be.
However, I'm pretty much flat broke.
AND HERE IS WHERE YOU GUYS COME IN
If one of you is willing to either give me an old used enclosure they may have lying around or willing to buy me a new one (remember it has to fit the drive of an HP Pavilion ze4420us laptop... I don't know shit about parameters and specs who do you think I am a techie or something) I will be ready willing and able to make you a plushie or some other work of art according to whatever you want it to be. Pleasepleaseplease help out guys... It'd be really tragic if all of my pictures were to disappear.
I'm also still accepting this as payment, because well, Jimmy. Jimmy Page is enough reason for anything.
BUT YEAH GUYS BE A PAL AND HELP A GAL OUT HERE.
