"So, our match?"
<The synth gravity browsing sphere.> Sly answered nonchalantly. Natalie knew her way around the lab better than anybody outside of Sly's own family, so she wouldn't be needing the help that the others did.
"C'mon, newbie. Just follow my lead." Nat slunk through the area with a practiced pace, cutting across areas that seemed to be marked off limits, and leaping over several banks of machinery. Her pace, despite its nonchalance, was easily too much for an ordinary human to keep up with.
The duo arrived after a short while, coming upon a metal block the size of a house. Large rods projected from the sides, clearly handles for lifting or attaching it to some even larger device.
"This here's one of Sly's eighty billion pet projects. Something about optimal space use for food or whatever. Some goofy thing..." Natalie clambered up a ladder on the side, and then kicked a hatch open. She dropped through with a light landing, and was soon followed by Tenser.
His drop arched, and he found himself landing on what had been the ceiling of the room. On all sides, they were encompassed by finely groomed grass, rising up into the form of a sphere. Four bands of lights, under thick glass, ribbed the sphere, meeting at the very opposite (The ceiling?) and almost meeting directly at the entryway.
Natalie walked along the edge, following the curve. The gravity seemed to always be pulling her towards the ground she had her feet on.
"It's really not that confusing once you get used to it," She shrugged. "We can start whenever you're ready."
OOC: One week rule, as always.

"Hummm," Tenser said with interest, "A miniature dyson sphere of some kind. Quite interesting really, though I suppose it won't have any bearing on combat, assuming you can't fly." Tenser said calmly, looking across the room at Nat through his white mask.
"Ah well, I guess we should start things up." Tenser said, pulling his two mithril shortswords from their sheaths. He then heaved a quick sigh, and darted towards Nat far faster than his otherwise 'human' frame would suggest.
"The first frame, White Cloth!" Tenser said, followed by a complex pattern of strikes focusing on the horizontal torso, speed picking up. The pattern was designed to trap movement, keeping the opponent reacting in a set pattern. The strikes weren't heavy, but were never the less swift, and his use of two swords found them coming from all directions creating a glinting web of confusion.

Natalie grinned hungrily, striking a ready stance as Tenser rushed her. She leaped back, avoiding the first two slashes, and continued backing away and cautiously parrying the blows with her weapon. The length and fragility of her sword meant that she had to be extremely careful. One wrong move, and Tenser could snap right through it and into her.
Of course, there was a way around every problem...
Natalie flickered, and reappeared considerably closer to Tenser. She now held the hilt in her left hand, and had the blade wrapped around her right. She parried the slash from her left with the hilt, sending the attack high. It skimmed her knuckles, drawing blood, but otherwise did little to affect her. She twisted, and wrenched her torso around, bringing up her right hand.
She caught the blade in the coils of her sword, and wrenched, attempting to disarm Tenser. Attempting to magnify the leverage from the motion, she threw a hard kick at his torso. Inevitably, there was a counterattack, a backswing from the parried sword.
Nat disappeared, reappearing a short distance away once more. She had a shallow cut through the fabric of her shirt and across her side, still not serious enough to stop a fight over, but evidently still quite painful. She bared her teeth once more, and awaited Tenser's continued attacks.

Tenser took the kick to his side with a grunt, but feinted his reverse blow with the sword. Instead, his other sword wrenched itself free, and darted forwards towards Nat's ribs. Tenser then took a loping step back, putting distance between himself and Nat quickly.
He snarled, she didn't seem to be the best person to get close to. She was no amateur in close range, and with her flickering deal, it'd be even harder to properly hurt her.
He sheathed both of his swords, and it quickly be came apparent why he'd chosen short swords.
Raising his right hand, a massive bow of white energy materialized. It stayed in a very fixed shape, but crackled with the energy it contained.
In his other hand, Tenser materialized an arrow, similar in composition to the bow. He knocked and drew it, taking aim on Nat.
And then disappeared.
He reappeared on the field directly above and across from Nat in the massive sphere. He grinned wolfishly as he released the string, and the arrow ignited in a massive blaze of energy headed straight for the top of Nat's head.
OOC: Whoops, I forgot about the advantage Tenser has in ranged combat. This environment actually makes a huge difference for him.

Natalie glanced around cagily, trying to figure out where her opponent had retreated to. Not in front, or flanking from the side- ABOVE! Natalie kicked off the ground and spun sideways, only avoiding the arrow by scant inches.
She landed on one knee, staring upwards. Her sword coiled on the ground, as if resting and waiting for action. A streak was burnt down her face, from forehead, running along her temple, and to her cheek.
"So, you don't like playing with me up close?" Natalie flickered, the blade disappearing. In either hand, she dangled a metal sphere, evidently coated with some manner of adhesive except for the finger-sized grips.
"I don't like this sort of stuff, but I can get along just dandy with using it!" Natalie flung both orbs with a forwards sweeping motion. Each one retracted their handles in mid-flight, and began crackling with white arcs of electricity as they streaked towards Tenser.

An explosive burst of arrows met the projectiles between Tenser and Nat, at least ten arrows for each projectile sending them spiraling back towards the ground. Tenser drew back on his bow again, preparing one of his larger attacks, and disappeared from sight again.
A second later he was standing in front of Nat, his bow discharged and at his side.
"Flicker."
Was all he said, before coiling spirals of powerful arrows burst towards her from all directions, screaming like the howling of the damned. Tenser disappeared again, leaving Nat to stand alone at the center of the explosion.

“So, that’s the way it is,” Natalie muttered, and charged towards where one of the arrows had been fired from. She launched herself into the air, twisting about like a cat bringing its claws to bear. A shot tore past her, with a few inches of clearance. The screaming was loud in her ears, almost making her teeth rattle with the noise.
Continuing the spiral, she spun to the ground and had only a fraction of a second to curl herself into a protective ball before the explosion went off. Thankfully, due to the emptiness of the room, there was no shrapnel to the blast, but the concussive force alone was enough to make her feel like she had taken a punch to the gut.
She stood up shakily, her body still coping with the blast. Even for somebody that regularly was exposed to such, any kind of explosion was rough on the body. There was the feeling of being watched, being a fly in a spider’s web. Tenser was perched precisely opposite her position, still tracking her with his bow.
“I’m about sick of this sort of thing, already,” She grunted, and began running forwards. A quarter of the way around the sphere, she threw herself skywards, arching her back. Her feet followed, instinctively tucking into a backflip. She seemingly hovered for a moment, and then flickered, reappearing on the near side of the sphere’s gravity to Tenser.
She plummeted like a rock, flickering at random in various directions. At the last moment, she oriented on Tenser, throwing her full weight and fall into a heel drop. She focused the strike towards his collarbone from behind, hoping to make drawing his bow a much more painful endeavor.

A loud snap and a growl met Natalies attack, but just as the self satisfied glow bloomed in her stomach, the growl deepened to something feral. Looking down at her opponent, Tenser stared back at her with wolfish eye's, and a lupine grin.
Burst burst out all over his body, pure white, catching and reflecting the light directed at it. His armor shifted into a heavier, more closely plated version of itself. The stuff had obviously been enchanted, along with his sword, which were now five feet long, straight backed, curved bladed monstrosities.
Tenser drew them both wire furred, clawed hands, and erupted into furious motion. In werewolf form, he was brutally swift and strong in close range. A snarling one might associate with laughter was eminating from Tenser.
Hope you brought some silver.

"Wonderful. Trapped in a sphere-" Natalie fell quiet, sidestepping one swing and then spinning around another. She threw an ineffective punch at the shoulder of the monstrosity, the blow glancing off. She didn't have the time to swear before she needed to duck a counterattack. Moving with it, she threw herself under him, rolling between his feet and into a flanking positition.
She skidded to her feet, launching instantly into a vicious knee to his lower back. The blow struck the armor with enough force to hammer through ordinary steel, but glanced off the enchanted plate ineffectively. She brought up her other leg, and kicked off of his back, flipping away just as a gigantic blade spun into where she had been a split second earlier.
"And, my opponent just turned into a wolf," She grunted, bouncing back another pace. She needed to give herself a bit of breathing room, if she was going to organize a counterattack. She flickered, producing a small white device in her hand. It resembled a bulky laser pointer, with its casing tapering to a point.
She flung her hand forwards, pointing it directly at Tenser's chest, and depressed the button. Instantly, a minute ray of blue light shot forth.
Outside the sphere, a pinprick of light pierced the wall, and bored thirty feet into the reinforced concrete forming the nearest foundation.

Tenser disappeared from view as soon as Natalie depressed the button, reappearing several meters behind her. His fur was a pile on the ground, both the huge sword and armor now their normal size around his human frame.
"I admit that probably wouldn't been considerably painful, but unless that thing is made out of silver, then you're waisting your time."
Tenser draw back on his bow, a shining silver light suddenly flooding the sphere. He release the arrow, following the curve of artificial gravitys pull, and shot out every light in the place.
"Are you afraid of the dark?"
Several cracking sounds, along with snarling, and the sound of something immense moving about, announced that Tenser had retaken his werewolf form.

"Not exactly..." Natalie hissed from behind Tenser, whipping her blade around his throat. She planted a foot on the back of his armor, and kicked off. The weapon bit in momentarilly, but then came undone, slipping free without doing more than superficial damage.
"Thought sooo..." Natalie growled, landing on one knee. There was the feeling of air moving, first inwards and then out. Clearly, her flickering between forms.
"But you're still a living creature, and I'm sure I can take you out." The voice came from the relative ceiling, a sinister whisper. There was the sound of two impacts, light, like a baseball landing in the grass. A moment later, there were twinned explosions, each hurling sod and bits of shrapnel about with a deafening roar.

Tenser watched Natalie move easily. His transformation was supernatural, not a genetic disease or transformation, so his senses followed the same lines. He wasn't seeing her in light, he was seeing her essence, they very thing that made her, her. All around him, he could see everything, stone and grass, the broken light fixtures, everything. Light or dark, it was the same to him like this, he simply saw things different when he was a werewolf.
He dodged the explosives deftly, and moved in behind Nat as easily as if she were a kitten.
"Sorry, but if you thought I was fast before.... You were woefully mistaken."
Tensers giant sword hit with cratorous force, leaving a huge impression in the earth it had struck. Sadly, his strength was a build, not an instant power, she she'd have an instant as he comitted to dodge, and she likely saw that. But one mistake, one small slip up, and she'd be half of herself.
"Prime trained me you know, along with Eragon. He schooled us endlessly, before his fall. It saddens me that so few remember him now. Why, not a short time ago, even I had forgotten." A touch of sadness entered his voice, but he steeled himself.
"Ah, he always said I spoke to much in combat." He mumbled, "Always looking for the rightious edge, was it?"
He growled, "It still haunts me that I let that demon loose."

Nevermind I broke the week rule, your win Lee. Fine by me anyways, I needed at least one of my chars to lose. Though I had intended it to be Eragon calling it quits.
