OOC- Okay, this is the RP I PM'd people about. Personally, though, I hope that not everyone I PM'd joins since I PM'd all the regular RPers (also DL. Point DL?).
This is done with permission from Alex to use his characters.
BIC -
"Pandora..."
Footsteps. Rustling clothes.
"Pandora, Pandora, Pandora..."
The footsteps stop.
"Pandora's... box?"
The footsteps echoed slightly, faster than before. Another voice.
"Pandora's box? You've been reading too many fairy tales."
And another.
"...Pandora existed..?"
"Pandora existed, and fought, and lost. And still exists." The first voice.
"Don't make me laugh."
"I have associates who were there. Who fought against it."
"...And the box..?"
"It's a story, about all the evil things in the world."
"It's untested, untried."
"...It's intriguing."
~*~*~
He was unhealthy, it seemed. His skin so pale, his hair frail, his hands almost skeleton-like. He was not the kind of person who invited warmth. He looked like he belonged under the ground, in a coffin. People would run from him. But he did not care. Sai Koro was not the sort of person who cared about others. He was a walking enigma. No one could penetrate his thoughts. This made him terrifying.
"...I will ask you again..." He said quietly. "I'm a patient man... I have waited years before now..."
Apparently, the man he was talking to thought so. His voice shook out of fear.
"I-I told you! It-it's there!"
"...Do not lie to me..." Sai Koro ordered, clicking his fingers. There was a howl of pain as the old man's right index finger bone snapped in two. "I have visited those ruins... There is nothing."
"I swear! H-he hid it away! Sealed away and-and hidden so no one c-could find it!" The old man said between sobs. "It was all s-secret! No one was m-meant to know!"
"...Sealed away..?"
"Yes! P-please, don't hurt me. If he knew th-this... If he knew I'd t-told..." The man's fear was genuine, and no longer focused on Sai Koro it seemed. Whoever this individual in question was, he was much more threatening.
"I have had enough..." Sai Koro said. "...You have three seconds to tell me the truth."
"I swear! Th-the ruins..."
"One."
"I-in..."
"Two."
"G-Goldenrod..."
Sai Koro paused. The same story. The man was not lying. He seemed to relax slightly, now that his life was no longer being threatened. Sai Koro sighed.
"...Thank you."
He clicked his fingers. The man's scream of pain did not have time to leave him as his spine and skull ripped themselves from his body, forming a crude, blood-splattered sword. The necromancer turned and left.
~*~*~
"And so we have reached a dilemna."
"...Indeed... Without him, we have no means of so much as finding it..."
"Who says we need him?"
"You have never seen Crescent Magic. It is beyond anything you can imagine. If he has hidden it, I expect it will stay hidden."
"...There might be another way..."
"What?"
"How?"
"...I need to investigate..."
~*~*~
"Isn't this lovely?"
Yoshimitsu had discovered the scene before anyone else, and purely by chance. It was hardly the most suspicious of circumstances, and it was pure luck that Yoshimitsu noticed it. A building, a terraced house in fact. All the lights were off, but considering that most people worked it was not unusual. However, the tiniest thing caught his attention. On the window of an upstairs room, the corner was splattered in blood. He had not immediately realised, thinking it was paint. But after a moment of staring at it, he realised. Curiosity got the better of him, and he slipped into the house, the front door unlocked.
The room in question looked like a spare room. It was devoid of any furniture, the walls shabbily painted and years-old curtains framing the window. However, the body lying in the middle of the floor was what caught Yoshimitsu's attention. He called it a body, but its back was ripped open and its face was splattered against the floor, both skull and spine missing. The blood had dried up, blackened, all the insides already shrivelling. It had not taken much investigation to realise that it was not taken with any tools. The spine and skull and been ripped out without being touched. Telekinesis, Yoshimitsu mused.
"There's no signs a fight..." Yoshimitsu muttered, leaving the room and examining the rest of the house. "So it was probably a surprise atack... I wonder what hap-"
Yoshimitsu's sentence was cut short as he descended the stairs. A picture on the wall caught his attention immediately. There was one person in the image that he recognised. Brown spiky hair that seemed to defy all gravity, a black shirt and slightly questionable purple jeans, all rounded off with a trenchcoat. Gary Oak, though not entirely how he was in Yoshimitsu's memory. His hair was not yet silver, his eyes still had their colour.
"Gary..." He muttered, looking at the other two figures in the photo. One of them, he recognised, was Gary's Grandfather. Professor Samuel Oak. His face was lined, his hair grey, but he had a look of delight on his face, contrast to Gary's somewhat more sober expression. The third person in the image, Yoshimitsu guessed, was the poor individual who was lying upstairs, missing vital parts of his body.
"I wonder..." He mused, pocketting the photo. "This might be worth a trip to see the professor."
Blinking slightly as he stepped out into the sun, he pondered the fastest route to Pallet Town. The Magnet Train would be the fastest way to Kanto, then he could get a local train to Viridian City. Pallet Town was just a walk away. With a faint smile on his face, he began towards the train station with a slightly spring in his step. A good investigation always got him in a good mood.
OOC Edit - Entry points don't necessarily have to be meeting Yoshimitsu. In some cases, being able to sense an approachign evil or something like that, or perhaps visiting Professor Oak? Hell, if we go so far, some kind of raid on the lab wouldn't go amiss. Anything to liven up the RP a bit

"Will that do, Mr. Whitticker?" the gray-haired professor asked.
"Please, call me Rhys." The younger man slipped a tape recorder and a legal pad into his briefcase and snapped it shut, smiling and settling back into the sofa. Opposite him, in an armchair, Professor Samuel Oak sipped tea.
The two sat in a comfortably furnished sitting room where Rhys supposed the professor must keep for entertaining guests. A large bay window to their right overlooked one of the many pastures surrounding the laboratory. He was in Pallet Town on business, sent to interview the professor for a special interests column in a newspaper that circulated in his hometown. The questions had been general ones but the commission for the story had been good, and Rhys had enjoyed the professor's affable demeanor far more than his usual interviewee fare, who tended to regard him distantly and as a waste of their time.
"And yes, Professor, I think this will make for an excellent article. Thank you again for making the time to see me." Rhys paused and took a sip of his own tea. "I'm sure you must be busy."
Professor Oak shook his head, smiling pleasantly. "Oh, there's always work to be done, but I enjoy having visitors."
They chatted amiably for a while longer until Rhys had to excuse himself; he had a train to catch in Viridian City if he wanted to make it back home in time to submit his column. He shook hands with the professor and showed himself to the door.
On the front step, Rhys paused for a moment, letting his eyes adjust to the brighter light. He had almost shut the door behind him when he noticed a figure making its way up the path to the lab, indistinguishable from this distance. Rhys reached behind him, pushing the door open. "Professor," he called, watching the visitor coolly, "were you expecting someone else? I believe someone's here to see you."
OOC: Hope I did Oak okay. Ick, I'm rusty. ._.

OOC- slight auto of Rhys, just for plot purposes~

Sai Koro did not like sunlight. Among other things, it made his already pale figure look even more ghost-like. The bright glare was distracting and it made him uncomfortably warm when he was hiding his appearence under his usual overlarge coat and scarf. However, he never showed a single outwards display of discomfort as he walked up the path to Professor Oak's laboratory. As he stepped, an unusual clinking sound could be heard, like metal hitting metal. He had no desire to conceal his presense, apparently.
The fact that he had no appointment meant very little to him. As he well knew, the Professor did not mind visitors in the slightest. Any and all were welcome to see him, providing he was not busy. The receptionist looked at him slightly strangely as he approached, taking in his unusual appearence.
"...Is the Professor free?" He asked in his quiet voice. He enjoyed the effect his voice had on people. It sounded unearthly, undead. There was a cruel pleasure is seeing goosebumps appear on the receptionist's skin.
"He is... currently in an mee-" she started, but then noticed someone leaving the Professor's visiting room. Sai Koro watched this man walk past, his dark brown hair and suit looking fairly normal. However, Sai Koro could easily detect something else about this man. Filing away this information in his brain, he turned back to the receptionist.
"...Is the Professor free now?" He asked.
"I... believe so. Go on ahead, I'll let him know you're coming," she said, looking distinctly relieved that she did not have to speak to Sai Koro any longer.
~*~*~
"Why do you just let him run off on his own?"
"I wouldn't expect you to understand."
"What's the point in killing one man at a time? Just nuke the lot of them."
"And where, pray tell, do you expect the information to come from?"
"I dunno, do I? I'm gonna go look at that spot you said it's hidden in."
"Very well. Don't create any unecessary commotion."
"Yeah yeah, whatever."
~*~*~
Yoshimitsu sat on the train from Saffron City to Viridian City, leaning back a comfortably as was possibly on these trains. While they were easily better than most of the trains in the rest of the world, they were still mass-produced. He glanced out the window, watching the scenery fly by as the train made it's way through Kanto.
"Gary Oak..." He muttered to himself, pulling the photo from his pocket. He had no doubt whatsoever that the person had been killed because he knew something about the Crescent Mage, or possibly knew nothing at all. While concern for Gary was not something Yoshimitsu felt, overwhelming curiosity about the murder was. Why would someone be looking for Gary? And just who was this man in the picture? What was his connection to the Oak family? Yoshimitsu sighed. There was nothing he could do about it right now, on the train.
"Professor Oak," he muttered. "I hope you're in."
~*~*~
Alameth was another person who found no delight in being in the sun. However, that was due to his own fashion choices, which he was currently beginning to spite. The only light piece of clothing he wore was his t-shirt, but that was hidden underneath a dark jacket that looked to be made of scales. The weight of his clothes, his cargo pants and combat boots, did little to ease his comfort. On the positive side, his somewhat threatening appearence and build meant that no one was bothering him.
"I can smell this place," he said to himself, striding through the streets of Goldenrod City. Daytime in Goldenrod City was very rarely a nice time. It was always very busy, full of people working or shopping, small children running around without a care in the world. Alameth smirked. They'd care soon enough. He turned a corner around the department store and walked across the road, passing through the traffic jam and heading for his destination.
"No wonder... This place is dripping with magic..." He said, passing several ruined buildings. While most of the city had been rebuilt, there were still a few areas that had not been reached yet. Builders driving bulldozers and diggers swarmed the area, clearing out the debris so that they could once again build. Alameth shook his head mockingly.
"Here we are."
He stood in front of what looked like just another ruined building. It was unremarkable visually, looking exactly like the buildings around it. He reached out, as though feeling for something in the air. Something was there. He could sense it, he could practically smell it. His hand met no resistance, though he thought he felt electricity in the air, the hairs on his arm standing on end. Quickly, he raised his dagger and pulled a small jewel from his inside pocket.
"Eagle," he breathed, slotting the jewel into the hilt of the blade, causing it to glow for a moment. Suddenly, he saw everything clearer and much sharper than he had a moment ago. There was something special about this particular spot.
~*~*~
"...Samuel, you are not being very cooperative..." Sai Koro commented in his quiet, terrifying voice. "...It's a simple question."
"Please... I don't know... No one has been in touch with him for years!" Professor Oak said, nearly sobbed. The Professor had found himself locked to the wall, being held in place by skeleton arms that had wrenched themselves out of the wood. His arms, legs and head were all locked in place and no matter how much he struggled, he could not break free.
"...Do not lie to me, Samuel," Sai Koro said. "...You are one of the last people who saw him... Are you telling me you don't know where your own grandson is..?"
"I don't, I swear!" Professor Oak cried, panic and terror etched into every line on his face.
"...For every time you keep the information I want from me..." Sai Koro said, his voice quieter and somehow more threatening. It was barely more than a whisper. "...I am going to rupture one of your organs..."
"N-no! Please!" Professor Oak begged. Sai Koro removed his hat, scarf and overcoat to reveal his figure underneath, aiming to scare the professor into breaking. His torso was horrifying. It was made up of three patches of skin, sewn together. One of them was his own, pale and unhealthy. The patch that stretched along his stomach, stopping just before it reached his side was purple, definitely not human. The final patch was healthy, a soft pink colour. From an inside pocket of the labcoat he was wearing, he pulled out a human skull.
"...Tell me. Where is Gary Oak?"
"I d-don't know!"
Professor Oak gave a terrible scream, one that would have curdled the blood of anyone. Anyone but Sai Koro.
"...That was your stomach... If I left you like this, you would die anyway... But I'm sure I can get a few more melodious screams from you..." Sai Koro said. "...Where is he?"
"He left! He left us y-years ago! He s-said he went travelling, he sent us letters at first b-but then he stopped!" Professor Oak sobbed. Sai Koro grabbed Oak's face and looked at his eyes. Fear, panic. However, Sai Koro could tell he was not lying.
"...Very well, Professor. Then you will kindly tell me... How do you open Pandora's Box..?"
The professor's already pale face, contorted with pain, went a lighter shade of white.
"P-Pandora's Box? But that's just a story!"
Sai Koro looked at him again. He was still not lying.
"...That is all professor. Please don't die..." Sai Koro said politely as the skeletal arms released their grip on the old man, who slumped to the floor, gripping his stomach. "...I have no doubt that I will be seeing you again..."
Sai Koro exited the room, closing the behind him. As he walked away, he looked at the receptionist, who looked distressed and worried. She was clearly on the phone to authorities, but as soon as he looked at her, she stopped talking.
"...The dear professor has had an unfortunate accident... Please ensure his safety..." He said, with a cruel smile before exiting the lab.

"Was it really? You don't say! Good heavens, I suppose there was no saving the books?"
The construction worker brushed his sleeves off. "I can't say I know that much. Be surprised if they recovered much, though. It was a terrible shame what happened."
"Dreadful," agreed the smartly-dressed old man. "I was very fond of the place. When I was younger my family lived just up the hill on Finley. Charlie aged seven was something of a patron here."
He politely waited the few beats for the worker to realize he was talking about himself, at which time the worker's face hardened slightly. Suspicion, not sympathy, had welcomed this bit of life history. The worker had realized he was not talking to an outsider. No doubt the endless rumors of supernatural events occurring within and around the Crescent Mage Library had trickled their way down to this man of the earth, and now he thought he was talking to a card-carrying library member.
"I'm sorry to hear it."
Too right, he probably was. "Not at all," the old man replied. "But I wonder if I might have a stroll around the place? Say goodbye?"
"Course. As long as you stay on the street. Could get hurt otherwise."
"Thank you very much." The old man waved slightly and turned to saunter down the street, leaving the construction worker and the rumble of the bulldozers at work behind him.
Hadn't been a bad chat, considering that Charles Tanner had never actually been to the Crescent Mage Library before. Shame he couldn't have seen it while it was still standing. He'd understood there'd been a fairly impressive collection. Now, however, he was not here for a book. He was here for a person.
He'd been following his senses for a week now. When he'd first picked up the hint of a considerable power within the region, he had understood at once that the power was deeply desirous of something. The power was moving erratically from one unusual place to another, seeking the object in question. Tanner had taken an interest immediately. If there was an item of great value involved, he was willing to take a personal stake in these matters.
And there he was. No, in fact perhaps that wasn't him. No... Charles Tanner walked briskly by the darkly dressed man who was standing in front of the ruined library. A red herring. Not the power he was seeking. Tanner kept pace without turning his head.
All the same, what was this man clutching so close to his chest? Tanner allowed a brief glance as he rounded the corner of the library. A knife?
Tanner knelt down as if to tie his shoe and vanished behind the shrubbery alongside the library's battered wing. Under the distant groan of the bulldozers, he listened intently.
OOC: Lousy Charles Tanner with your lousy need for an ulterior motive. Why can't you just be like Terrian, falling into plots through a combination of poor judgement and bad luck?

Alameth's eyes looked over the ruins slowly this time. He had been stood there for at least ten minutes, looking for anything immediately unusual about the ruins. There was not a single book present, nor any standing walls. It was all rubble. His eyes slowly examined every rock, every piece of concrete, ensuring that he had not missed anything. However, despite what his eyes were telling him, he could not shake the feeling that something was very wrong about the scene. It was not as he immediately thought.
However he twitched, irritated, as something in his pocket began to glow. With a very blatant look of annoyance on his face, he drew another crystal from his pocket, this one larger and clear with a cord attached to it. It looked like some kind of necklace.
"What do you want?" He asked the crystal, slipping the cord over his head.
"Is there anything immediately recognisable?" A voice enquired, coming from the crystal.
"No. I'm trying to look, but it just looks like ruins," Alameth replied. "It's all rubble, but there's something not right about it."
"It's alive with magic. I'm surprised you haven't seen any kind of side effects."
"I can feel the magic. Shit, I don't think there's anyone who can't feel it," Alameth commented, raising his hand again. This time, a spark visibly jumped between his fingers. "I'll be damned if they actually rebuild over this."
"They wont be able to. The magic prevents the place for being tampered with," the voice stated matter-of-factly.
"What magic?" Alameth asked, glancing around. As he did, he noticed that he was not alone at the ruins. A man who was apparently tying his shoelace. Shrugging, he turned his attention back to the ruins.
"I'd rather not say while you are so exposed. Leave, and return here as soon as you can," the voice ordered. Alameth's expression hardened again. However, he turned and began to walk away from the ruins.
"I just need to visit Viridian City to check something," Alameth said. "Then I'll come back and you can explain just what's going on."
OOC- Okay, maybe not the most interesting post ever, but this is for Charles Tanner to actually have something to do~
Also, the majority of the action, I do believe, is going to take place around the Pokemon Islands. I think trains would be the best way to get from city to city. Kanto and Johto will be the most used areas, I do believe~

Rhys faltered outside the door without closing it. He scowled, thinking. The man he just passed...there was something very, very wrong about him. Aside from his highly abnormal appearance given the pleasantly warm weather, he could feel the man's eyes follow him out the door, appraising him, and whatever he had said to the receptionist had unsettled her greatly.
He considered his options. He could leave now, make his train, and forget everything that had just happened. Or, he could wait here outside. Or, he could turn around and go back in there. But the last thing he wanted to do was confront that strange man. So...leave now? His interview had left him feeling a sort of familial camaraderie for the professor; it wouldn't sit well with him to leave him with that --
A scream erupted from inside the lab. Rhys could hear the receptionist make some sort of gasp or cry of fright and scramble for the phone. He cursed under his breath, almost certain that there was nothing he could do now to help Oak now. The receptionist had called the authorities, he was certain of that as well. Then there were footsteps, and the man's voice again, almost to the door. Perhaps there was something he could do...
The shadow of a large tree, stretched long in the afternoon sun, lay across the paved walkway. Hurrying, Rhys half-jogged his way to it, dissolving into it as he reached it. A moment later the door opened and the strange man stepped outside, smiling almost maniacally. Rhys shivered, waited for the man to pass, and assumed the place of the man's shadow. Hopefully now he could find out who this guy was and what had happened to the professor.

There was something so very odd about her. It wasn't even a subtle oddness. Across from her sat a young woman, age 21, according to the file. Her blond hair was fairly short, and her green eyes had a distant, almost unconcerned look. Overall, her face showed no emotion. In fact, her entire demeanor showed no emotion. Her body was concealed under a black cloak, and she barely spoke a word.
Julia continued to study this girl, Rie, who sat across from her. Despite the near-glaze over them, Rie's eyes slowly shifted left and right in a random pattern, and Julia knew this was the girl's way of surveying the area. Looking for potential threats must have been like second nature to the girl. No, more than that. Julia called to mind Rie's file again; Rie had been a test subject of Genlab 7. Checking for potential threats was basic instinct for the girl, completely ingrained into her psyche. Hypnosis probably helped with that.
No wonder she doesn't trust me, Julia thought. They probably should do more research before pairing people like that...
Julia was on the magnet train to Viridian City. Rie was with her as a hired escort. This week was supposed to be paid vacation. Travel a bit, live the culture, check out these “pokemon.” Nothing too big. But it just so happened that one of the organization's facilities, situated in the Pokemon Isles, was attacked by supernatural forces. The Isles happened to be where Julia was taking her holiday. Most survived, but according to reports, a few had seemingly gone insane and were now being held at the local hospital. This Rie girl was a local mercenary who just so happened to have powers of her own, hired in case another attack occurred.
------
Rie continued to scan the train car for any unusual activity. Her eyes would move from the front of the car slowly to the back of the car, frequently looking out the windows as well as looking at the reflections in the windows to see behind herself.
With every sweep, she did not fail to glance at the woman she was escorting, taking in a single detail every pass. Dark brown hair. A smart business suit. A black purse. A portfolio in the lap. A gold pendant around her neck. Rie also noticed that Julia did not seem as helpless as most of the people she escorted. The woman was more alert and aware. Those eyes showed deep comprehension whenever they looked at someone. Mentally, she was dangerous.
Rie noticed someone with blue hair (OOC: he has blue hair, right? D: ) sitting in the corner of train car. He was casually staring out the window with a pensive expression. But she could almost feel something about him. He was strong. Not a normal human. Under the cover of her cloak, Rie moved a hand to one of her knives, just in case. She didn't stay focused on him long and continued to survey the car. If he moved, she would know.

Tsubota turned, glaring towards the rubble strewn ground. It had strong ambient magic, which alone was something to garner concern, but he was feeling bits and starts, like flashes through the clouds before a thunderstorm. There was a large, imposing figure. He was talking to something in mumbled tones, though even with Tsubota's finely trained hearing, only the tones of voice carried.
That... Was not somebody that he wished to tangle with. Not on this outing.
He turned, looking to Miko.
"You might want to find somewhere to tuck the clothes. We might have something more important than shopping to deal with."
"Really? Tsubota... " Miko was going incognito at the present time, his hair faded to its natural blonde and his luminous eyes masked behind a false grey. All the result of a glamour Helen had cast on a moment's notice, but more than enough to keep suspicions off of him while tending to civilian business.
"That fellow..." Tsubota leaned in, whispering discretely, "He seems as if he's the type to be trying to absorb the magic, or siphon the souls of those that died in the battle of Goldenrod, or something..."
"Tsubota, you can't assume that every intimidating looking thug is out to ruin the world. A few are, but for the most part, they're just two-bit pushovers. He probably just felt something funny and is trying to puzzle it out," Miko shrugged, his silver jacket crinkling. He walked towards Alameth, nodding ever so slightly towards the man as he passed.
Tsubota decided to follow the Emperor, but swung wide, avoiding the scale-cloaked man by passing behind a stand of scraggly, demolition-battered bushes. He glanced back towards Miko, and noticed another figure in the rubble. A figure that was giving a rather concerned sidelong glance towards Miko, at least before studiously returning to tying his shoes.
"That must be some knot..." Tsubota said through his teeth, his movements otherwise silent as he approached the man from behind.
"Mister Tanner."
OOC: Assuming this is after Shrinking Feeling, but before Summoner Style. Somehow.
And sorry about the auto, but I'm assuming that sensing a top-class Summoner would at least rate a concerned glance from Charles.
Cherrygrove will work its way into this in a wee bit.

Yoshimitsu felt the train slowing a short while before everyone else. He was somewhat thankful for that. For some reason, he could not shake the feeling that he was being observed. After a quick scan of the train, he noticed one individual who was attracting a small amount of attention due to the cloak she was wearing. His eyes lingered on her for a moment before he looked away again, just in case she was the one watching him. Aiming to look casual, he fixed his attention on the landscape passing by as the train rolled into the station. A small part of him was thankful that he had his sword on him, concealed underneath a scarf tied around his waist.
"Okay, and Pallet Town's just a quick walk away," he muttered to himself as he disembarked the locomotive. However, he did not immediately set off. Instinct, pure instinct was telling him to remain in Viridian City for a a while. So rather than head south out of the city, he lingered, making his way to the Neo Crescent Mage library despite not recalling anyone dwelling in it for the moment.
~*~*~
"Alameth, where are you?"
"...Alameth? Viridian City, of all places..?"
"What do you want now?"
"I'm monitering the ruins of the library now."
"You're bugging me just to tell me that?"
"...Why Viridian City, pray tell..?"
"Take a wild guess, necromancer."
"...Of course. I will join you shortly..."
"Remember to keep a low profile, you two. It wouldn't do for people to suspect what we are up to."
~*~*~
Despite the fact that he did not need to, Sai Koro was walking towards Viridian City. While his previous plan was to seek out Gary Oak, Alameth's presense in Viridian City had distracted him. There was a possibility, however small, that the thuggish brute was not as dumb as Sai Koro immediately thought. Perhaps he could assist Sai Koro in his hunt for information... though something told him that he was being foolish to assume this. As he walked, he buttoned up his lab coat to hide his patchwork torso from prying eyes, not wanting to attract more unwanted attention.
As he approached the city, he noticed the sun and guessed it was around mid-afternoon. The city would be fairly busy so getting to his location would be easy enough. He slipped a crystal from his pocket, identical to Alameth's, and raised the cord over his head. Instantly, it began to glow.
"..Alameth, where are you now?" He asked, keeping his voice just loud enough for Alameth to hear him, but quiet enough for no one to overhear him.
"Just entered the city. About two minutes from the Library," Alameth's voice replied. Sai Koro thought for a moment.
"...Very well..." Sai Koro said slowly. "...I shall meet you there..."
~*~*~
Yoshimitsu felt slightly nostalgic as he walked towards the Library. It had been a long time since he had been on the pokemon islands. However, as thrilled as he was to be back, he felt a stab of sadness. The Neo Crescent Mage Library had a cold and unfriendly look to it. It looked as though no one had so much as looked at it for years. How long ago had it been since someone had entered the place, he wondered. He stepped up to the front door and tried to turn the ornate handle, but it was evidently magically sealed. No one was getting into the Library.
"I wonder why..." He muttered to himself, turning and walking away. It was time to head for Pallet Town. Nothing had happened, he had been wrong and it was a waste of his time to linger much longer. As he walked, he accidently knocked into someone. Glancing at the blonde haired individual and noticing the heavy bags beneath his eyes, he apologised and carried on walking.
~*~*~
"There you are. Not very well hidden, are you?"
Alameth approached the Library, immediately spotting Sai Koro. Apparently no one else had the time to stop and look at the Library and the pair of them were quite alone, apart from a blue haired teenager who was walking away. As soon as he drew level with the necromancer, he turned to face the building.
"...Can you feel it..?" Sai Koro asked. Alameth stretched his hand out towards the building, much like he had in the ruins in Goldenrod City.
"Not as strongly, but it's there. It feels different... not as rough," Alameth replied. Sai Koro raised an eyebrow at this.
"...I didn't think you were so in tune with this," he commented, his voice still quiet but showing the tiniest bit of surprise.
"I'm not bad. But most people should be able to feel this," Alameth agreed. "If you know what you're looking for, it's simple."
"...Agreed. Professor Oak knows nothing of the box..." Sai Koro said, changing the subject. Alameth did not look surprised.
"I didn't think he would, somehow. Gary Oak is the one who will know," he replied. "How badly injured is Oak?"
"...A ruptured stomach... The authorities were contacted immediately..." Sai Koro said indifferently. "...If needed... He will be alive."
"Whatever. Like I care."

Charles Tanner was at his feet at once. "Tsubota."
He didn't sense that this was the power he sought, nor the other one standing some distance away. But Tsubota was... an acquaintance. If, perhaps, that word was a bit understated for someone who had also been subject to the Lord of the Lamp's little competition.
"I don't suppose it would be worth presuming we find each other here by chance?" he asked, adjusting the sleeve of his jacket. "It is a rather unlikely meeting point, after all, eh?"
OOC: CRAP. Combination of not knowing how Tsubota feels about Tanner by the end of Shrinking, and being creatively drained from spending the whole damn day plotting an RP of my own. But I didn't want to hold things up.

Eye contact. Rie's eyes moved at the same pace they were moving the entire time. She didn't look away, nor did she stare. All she did was take the knife she was holding out of her belt and held it neatly in her lap. It was still concealed under her cloak.
The speakers announced that the train would soon come to a stop in Viridian City. Rie continued her scan, noticing that Julia looked up as if trying to find the source of the voice.
The blue haired guy got up as the train stopped. Rie stood up as well, casually placing herself between the guy and Julia. He didn't seem to have noticed the doctor, but Rie didn't like to work on assumptions.
"Stay behind me," Rie quietly said to Julia as she stood up. Julia's eyes widened in what appeared to be panic, but the expression was soon replaced with mild curiosity. Rie made no attempt to reassure her client, instead turning around to watch the blue haired man exit. Rie followed him out the door, with Julia close behind.
--------
Who was this? Julia was running through a mental list of anyone that could be an enemy. She couldn't remember any. As she was lost in her thoughts, she was vaguely aware that Blue Hair was walking in the direction that she needed to go.
"Should we take a longer route?" Rie asked.
"I can't think of anyone who would attack me personally," Julia responded. "Let's just take the direct route."
"Stay close, then."
The two walked side by side. Julia's heart was beating slightly faster than normal. She stared intently at Blue Hair, hoping that her instinct was right. Suddenly he stopped and started to turn. Julia froze. This particular street was deserted. It would be perfect for an attack. Julia felt Rie's hand holding her back and saw the girl move between herself and Blue Hair. Her escort's other hand was still hidden inside the cloak.
Blue Hair didn't turn around all the way. Instead, he started walking down another street. Julia's instincts kept her frozen to the spot. She was still not sure about this guy, and her body was telling her to stay on high alert.
Rie, on the other hand, had already taken off down the street to peek around the corner. Julia watched the girl's cloak flutter behind her. The fabric moved so fluidly. Almost... hypnotically.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Julia finally breathed out. She managed to move her neck, and that motion seemed to unlock the rest of her body. By the time her heart stopped beating like a war drum, Rie was on her way back.
"He's looking at the ruins of the Crescent Mage library. We can go."
Julia simply nodded as the two started walking again.
As they crossed the intersection, Julia looked in the direction Blue Hair went. He was standing there, in front of the rubble. She couldn't see his face, but she imagined a somber expression by the way he held himself. She also saw a few other people milling about. Paying respect to a set of ruins wasn't anything odd, but these people seemed to be more interested in talking to each other...
Julia turned her attention forward again. The hospital was about a block away; close enough to be seen. In fact, there appeared to be a humanoid figure... several stories tall. Not as tall as the hospital, but definitely an imposing sight.
OOC: [EDIT] I forgot Eddie was supposed to be in here too D:

OOC- Bare with me, it's been a while.
BIC-
It had been a long, if uneventful, four years, particularly when compared with the twists his life had taken previously. Battles had been won and lost, friends had come, gone and, more often than he had like, died. Since then, however, things had gone rather quiet. Or, perhaps more accurately, he had been avoiding the noise.
At first he had thought it possible to carry on, even when his closest allies would not. He was determined to keep on fighting, even though, as he would soon realize, there was no longer anything to fight against.
This realization had hit him pretty hard, especially when it became apparent that he was dragging others in to his deluded world. He no longer had any purpose, no all encompassing evil to fight back, no Nemesis tormenting him and no Gary leading him off on wild adventures. About a year after it's conception, the Neo Crescent Mages were disbanded, its few members going their own separate ways to discover their purpose. Eventually, they all moved on. Well. all but Arcinius.
He had tried to find some other way to live his life. He traveled around the world, searching for a new adventure, something to reignite his passion for life that had been dampened for so long. It never came, however. Wherever he went, wahtever he saw, Arcinius couldn't help but feel that this, the Neo Crescent Mage Library in Viridian City, was his home. Not just his home, but where he needed to be. He couldn't describe it to anyone, but Arcinius felt, no, heknew that he still had work to do here. He just wished that he knew what it was.
As he ran up the stairs from the basement, where his room was located, he couldn't help but think that he had finally found it. Over the years, he had sensed many auras around the city, old friends passing by, who he had spent so much time around his sub-conscious had started to pick them up. But he hadn't felt any thing like his, not since back then. A presence that he could only describe as evil. He would have ignored it, if it wasn't for the fact that this presence, one or two people, Arcinius couldn't quite work out, seemed to be focused on the Library. His library.
As he reached the first floor, Arcinius headed to the back wall, where two magnificent blades hung, shimmering with the same brilliance they always had. He paused, looking down at himself. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt, with a black shirt over the top. He was sure that in the old days he had fitted the part so much better. nevermind, he thought, it would have to do. He swept a hand quickly through his spiked hair, feeling the adrenaline rushing through his body before picking the two weapons from the wall. One, a splendid silver blade, the handle emblazoned with a red jewel, the other, a wider sword, its hilt and blade a magnificent gold. Arcinius held the pair of weapons in his hands for a moment, before placing them in to the scabbards at his waist. The Sun and Moon swords. Weapons that had helped himself and Gary Oak win so many battles.
Part of Arcinius had given up on the thought of ever using them again, but now here he was, striding towards the front door of the library, feeling the magical energy of both weapons pulsing at his waist.
Taking a deep breath, Arcinius focused, a silver aura surrounding his body, for dramatic purposes only, before clicking his fingers, prompting the large doors to swing open with a dramatic creak.
Unblinking as the harsh sunlight hit him, Arcinius stepped forward towards the two strangers whose presence were boring in to his mind.
"I'm sorry." He said softly, but slightly mockingly. "Keep forgetting to unlock that door. What good is a library if no one can get in." He looked over the pair quickly. Even if he hadn't have picked up on their aura, he could have told they were bad news just by looks alone. "Though I doubt you were here for a book?"

Sai Koro's body immediately tensed, something that Alameth noticed right away. The necromancer looked at the new figure who had just stepped from the library with apprehension. The power that flowed from the man, and his weapons, felt heavy to him. Like sitting at the bottom of the ocean, with all the pressure piling on top of him. Alameth frowned, looking from Sai Koro to this individual.
"I'm not here to get a book, no," Alameth replied, sizing the man up. Opening hostilities now would now be beneficial at all. There was no point in risking his life over something that could be so easily solved in the near future.
"...You're a Crescent Mage..." Sai Koro commented. It was not a question, it was a fact. Alameth glanced sideways at Sai Koro, processing this information. "...The last, I do believe..?"
"A Crescent Mage, huh?" Alameth asked, using his heightened vision to examine the man more carefully. The two swords at his waist were easily the most threatening thing he could see. He thought they glowed slightly, but perhaps that was just the falling sun reflecting oddly. He was daring Sai Koro to ask the question that was on his mind.
"...You don't know where Gary Oak is..." Sai Koro stated. Again, it was not a question. Alameth sighed. Sai Koro was, generally, right about these things.
"There's no point in being here, then," he said, turning sharply and striding away. Sai Koro gave the glowing man one more look before he, too, turned and walked away in a different direction.
~*~*~
Yoshimitsu was at the edge of the city, about to leave and head south for Pallet Town when he felt a familiar presense. The brand of magic, that unique feeling it gave. He thought he would never feel it again. Without a second thought, he turned around and began to sprint back into the city, weaving around people as he backtracked. Sometimes, he thought travelling by foot was so tedious when he could just summon Bahamut to fly him places. However, the thought of summoning the dragon and causing a mass panic was not ideal, so he rounded another corner and tore off up the street.
"Arcinius!" He yelled, waving as he ran towards the Library. On the front steps, he could see his old friend. Passing a man clad in what looked like scales, he closed the distance between himself and Arcinius quickly and, ignoring the silver flaring around him, pulled the Crescent Mage into a big hug. After releasing him, he said, "How've you been? It's been way too long! What's with the swords and the glowy anyway?"
~*~*~
"...That man is dangerous..."
"What do you mean? He didn't look like much to me."
"...The magic... it's painful..."
"Alameth, Sai Koro's brand of magic is directly opposite to the Crescent Magic. The individual in question, Arcinius-"
"You were watching?"
"-uses such powerful light magic. It's toxic to Sai Koro."
"...Leave him to me if it comes to it..."
"Whatever. Just find Oak. I've got stuff to do."

The wave of disappointment that had flowed over Arcinius as the two strangers simply walked away was quickly replaced swept away as a familiar figure, hair as blue as ever, came in to sight. Arcinius barely had time to smile before Yoshimitsu had grabbed him in to a hug. Arcinius winced a little as his friend gripped tightly, triggering a deep pain from the wound in the center of Arcinius' chest. It had been healed long ago, but hurt from time to time. A reminder of before. Not that he would ever forget running the Sun Sword through his own body.
"I'm," He paused, struggling to find what to say. "Not bad." He shrugged, the silver glow gently fading away. "And yo ushould know me Yoshi." Arcinius smiled, he knew his friend dislike the name but that wasn't going to stop him. "Never go any where without my swords." He stopped again, the grin on his face falling away quickly. "Particularly when there's a Necromancer about."

OOC: Arg arg. Well then Julia and Rie were by the Neo Crescent Mage library and Yoshi swung by them twice now. This is confusing and I can't squeeze an interaction anywhere because Yoshi walks too fast so I will just go do my own thing until something happens.
BIC: Rie turned to look in some direction. Julia followed her gaze and saw Blue Hair yet again, though this time running at them. She momentarily froze, but noticed that his facial expression was more of joy than of belligerence. He ran passed them, and Julia watched as he almost tackled a man who had not been standing outside the Library before. So that was what he was here for.
"Let's go," Rie reminded the doctor.
Julia shook herself from her reverie and followed her escort to the hospital. Within a few minutes, they were at the building, the imposing mecha seen earlier standing a couple stories tall. It turned its head and looked down at them for a moment, the hydraulics and actuators whirring and hissing as it moved, before looking back out to the horizon.
Inside, people continuously paid attention to the large robot outside. The lobby also looked more deserted than it usually would be; presumably because said giant robot was intimidating, and anyone who didn't have a life threatening problem probably decided that they were feeling fine. Julia walked up to the front desk.
"Hello, I am Dr. Romanesco. I have an appointment with several patients. May I see them?" Julia presented her ID badge to the nurse.
"Ah, yes," the nurse replied in a stressed voice as she typed some things into the computer. "They haven't been the most... cooperative. We've sedated the more violent ones, so you'll have to wait for them to wake up."
"Is there anyone still awake?"
"Yes... but no one can understand a thing he says."
"I'll see him anyway."
"Alright," the nurse said reluctantly. She stood up and lead Julia and Rie down a few hallways before arriving at a door. The nurse took the patient's chart off the door and gave it to the doctor before hurriedly walking away.
"Rie, could you please wait outside?" Julia asked as she looked over the man's chart. She didn't notice Rie's quiet nod because her eyes were fixed to the clipboard. Agent Harold Dalton, age 32. Suffered several lacerations to the left arm and mild trauma to the side of the head. Incomprehensible, but not uncooperative. Julia opened the door and stepped in, closing it quietly behind herself. The man lay in bed with his torso elevated. His eyes darted back and forth. Otherwise he was still.
“Hello, Agent Dalton. Do you mind if I call you Harold?” Julia said as she sat on the chair next to his bed. She took a recording device out of her purse and turned it on.
Harold began moving his mouth, but barely any sound escaped his lips.
“I'm sorry, I can't hear what you're saying. Can you speak up a little bit for me?”
His eyes focused on the doctor. He cleared his throat. “When five to three becomes the genesis of greeting the blank face of confirmation is taken at the entrance of those bright angels unseen during.”
“Thank you,” Julia said. She smiled at him, then looked at the clock on the wall. Five minutes to three o' clock. He was confused. Thoughts and ideas of the present were possibly mixing with memories and philosophies. The grammatical portion of his mind seemed to be broken as well. Julia took out a pad of paper and began writing this down.
He wasn't insane. He just couldn't express himself with words anymore. Facial expression and tone would be the best ways of understanding the man. Now the real puzzle was knowing if this condition was induced by physical, mental, or supernatural means.
“Again the angels sing and cry or none prevail before that one creates difference in aesthetics perhaps a demon then a ghost matters exponentially with clarity by speech.” Harold looked slightly frustrated.
“I'm sorry for your condition, Harold. I will do everything in my power to help. But first I need to find out what happened. Can you help me with this?”
Harold nodded. “Until the affirmation during these times when duress.”
“Thank you. Please tell me what happened.”
“Color but music softly screamed giving breath to many by which the world can make a tear until the ones who laugh plunder its whispered truths.”
Julia nodded. She didn't understand any of it, but showing comprehension might make him feel more at ease. She had gathered that the man was speaking in metaphor, analogy, and synonym, but in order to truly understand what he was saying, she would need to carefully go over every word he said. It was time for another approach.
“Harold. I am going to ask you a few yes or no questions about the incident to clarify the details. Just nod your head for yes, and shake it for no. Is that alright?”
Harold nodded.
“He answered yes,” Julia said, mostly for the sake of the recording device. “Now then. Your building was attacked?”
Harold nodded.
“Yes. Was the building attacked by a team of people?”
Harold nodded.
“Yes. Would you consider the attackers normal human beings?”
Harold shook his head.
“The answer was no. I see. Were they the ones who hurt your arm?”
Harold nodded.
“Yes. Did they also hurt your head?”
Harold nodded.
“Yes. And your speech. Were they responsible for that?”
Harold just shrugged his shoulders at that. He seemed frustrated again.
“He doesn't know.” Julia quickly scribbled her final notes on his behavior. She knew when someone was tired of talking. “Thank you for your time, Harold.”
“And then the sun sets between the cold white walls above a helpless bed waves exchange during the next in line again.”
Julia smiled as she turned off the recorder and exited the room. Rie was standing in the same spot she had been before. “Next patient,” Julia said to no one in particular.

"It's more likely than you'd think. To anybody with any kind of perception, this place is almost blinding," Tsubota sniffed. He glanced over his shoulder, to Miko, who was glancing about in concern.
"It's not about random chance, for us. We were out shopping, and then I felt a presence here. I'm assuming it's the same reason you've-"
"I guess this makes me wrong," Miko said distantly, stretching.
"About what? You don't even know this man, I-"
"Not him. The other guy. The thug."
"What?"
"Oh, he's more than some powerless bruiser, I'm guessing. While I was-" Miko paused. Tsubota had discretely made a handsign behind his back while approaching Tanner, Summoner code for needing backup. He had heeded his friend's request, readying to break a ring in case the elderly gentleman had tried any funny business.
Fortunately, that had not been the case, but it still was best not to disclose that he had been preparing to feed the man they were now politely, albeit tersely, conversing with to a gigantic predatory plant. That tended to make people standoffish.
"I was scratching an itch, and when I looked back to see what had become of him, all I caught was him moving out of here like a bat out of hell. A very fast bat out of hell, may I add."
"So we must've disturbed him somehow."
"It doesn't mean that he's up to anything-"
"The only people who have to hide anything are those that have done something wrong," Tsubota cast a withering glance at Tanner, and maintained it as he turned to face Miko.
"If you're so adamant, sure, we can try to stalk some random power because he gives you the heebie-jeebies. It's not like we have anything better to do, like say, cleaning the garage or making dinner for the family or anything."
"Miko, just trust me on this one."
"I'd be more partial to this if we had decided on it earlier. As is, that guy's probably a few miles out from here already. When I say he was moving, I mean that he probably could have kept pace with Haze's car."
"Maybe an aerial survey?" Tsubota offered.
"No good. He could be hiding in like any building in the city, or even the caves past Ilex by now."
"Then I guess we'll just have to figure out some way of finding him. Isn't that right, Mister Tanner?"
OOC: Meh, and a bit out of sequence, but it's okay. Gets me and Photu back on track.

OOC: Oh yeah. We're chillin' with Choobs. (Bulbs: "And making Bank!") P.S. Choobs, nice play off the SCP article about the nasty rambling crab thing. And hahaha what the hell Eddie what are you doing here. I think Eddie's mecha should just stand there for the whole RP.
Tanner squinted down the hill among the city streets, casting about for another Power signal. He found it difficult to concentrate on this task, however, considering that his attention was consistently being diverted by the enormous man-shaped construct standing in front of the hospital. No... No, Tanner also gathered the possibility of a P. or two around there. All in all the hospital seemed worth a butcher's just then.
"Yes, Tsubota, you're quite perceptive," Tanner said. "I would be very interested to uncover the secrets of this fast-moving Power of yours, yes. Let me suggest that we begin by investigating that massive automaton stationed before the hospital, and perhaps simply see where that takes us."
Using his jewelled cane for balance, he started down the hill.
OOC: LOL, Tanner doesn't know the word "robot"!

OOC: Well I blame the French for not making the settings more clear. Not everyone remembers back in the day, and some were not even around. So what with all the perspective changing, it gets confusing. I thought the Old Crescent Mage library was in Goldenrod, but then Viridian city was mentioned, so I thought that maybe my memory was wrong, and Neo Crescent Mage Library is so very close to Crescent Mage Library that you can't really blame me for confusing the two, especially when it wasn't particularly clear that the Library had been rebuilt considering that the Crescent Mages had pretty much disbanded.
So to rectify this, since Potato's post was kinda thrown around as a silly, it could probably be ignored and continuity would still work. Julia, Rie and Eddie are in Viridian City. Potato and Lee are in Goldenrod. SV is in Pallet.
Also, Eddie is here so he can step on people.

OOC- Since there's confusion regarding this, I'll explain the two libraries:
The Crescent Mage Library (CM Library) is in ruins from the Pandora attack of 2004 (i think). It's in Goldenrod City, where you'll also find Tanner and the Summoners. It's the original library and apparently has a small monument of Daisy Oak erected on it (I didn't know about this until recently :x)
The Neo Crescent Mage Library (NCM Library) is still standing over the ruins of the Viridian Gym. It's generally magically protected from intrusion, hence why Alameth and Sai Koro didn't even attempt to gain access and why Yoshimitsu was unable. You'll find Arcinius and Yoshimitsu on the steps conversing, Sai Koro and Alameth lurking around the city (FOR NOW) and Rie and Julia in the nearby hospital.
I thought I'd made it clear in my posts, but evidently not clear enough.
Edit: SV's actually wherever Sai Koro is, as Rhys is stalking him through his shadow.
