WTH is a heroclix base?

Heroclix is this game that involved figurines (usually of comic book characters) on a base with stats on it. There's dice rolling, moving around on squares on a board, and powers. The name comes from the clicking sound the base makes when you turn the dial to represent stat changes that your character may receive upon being hurt or healed.
Or you can just Google it and spare me the tedious task of explaining.
Though Lee, I checked the specs on that figurine, and Pagey would be far too big to fit on a standard Heroclix base. If anything, he'd be tearing down Tokyo with his chords.

So, anyways, I was picking up a booster of Star Wars minis to get scrap parts for customing Heroclix. And I get to the bottom of the box, and THIS is staring back at me. Red and gold armor... Camel face... Could it be? No, no way. It couldn't... Wait... Flavor text on the stat card? Surviving in Bothan society requires quick wits and a silver tongue, two things nobles never have in short supply.Holy crud, it is. I have a Camel Knight in HeroClix scale. Boy, is he going to be awfully lonely until I finish customing Sly, Ender, and Zebedee. And when I get around to Terrian, things just get awkward. From Star Wars wiki: "You have to understand that Bothans think in terms of political and persuasive influence, not military power. The typical Bothan's goal is to go through life getting more and more people to listen to what he has to say."

But those are Bears.
But on the other hand, they did venerate C3-PO, which I'm pretty sure WAS a spambot. So it may be on the money.

Well, I tried out my Rogues 'n' Brogues team the other day, and it did pretty well. Since I didn't have the pieces for Jonas, Rhys, or Alyssa, I was stuck subbing Helen and Nopcsa into the main team.
So, my force ended up being: Terrian, a Brogue, Nopcsa, Blaise, Helen, and Rie. My opponent ended up playing Hulk and a pair of magicians (Sargon and Nightshade, for those who care, though most of us don't.)
Rie... did more poorly then I'd have hoped. She tried to snipe the Hulk, accidentally shot herself in the foot, and then had the Hulk jump on her. When asked for a comment, I believe her answer was "Meh."
Terrian and Nopcsa, on the other hand, misdirected the daylights out of the Hulk. Poor green fool couldn't actually land a punch, bar one that Terrian duped him into landing on the Brogue instead (Tho' granted, that Brogue was... no longer a factor in the game after that.) After a few turns of being totally unable to actually accomplish anything with the Hulk (due waves of Brogues tieing him up and Nopcsa pestering the Hulk into missing pretty much any attack), my opponent had him wander off to where the two pairs of casters were duking it out. And then got nuked by Helen.
The caster battle wasn't quite so amusing, tho' Blaise did get off a few good antigravity-drops on the other mages, and Helen proved to be quite beastly. (Poor Sargon the Sorceror... Helen eliminated the competing stage magician with brutal efficiency.)
Overall, the final tally was Rie (Down from bad luck), Blaise (Down from getting blasted by Nightshade), Nopcsa (Ended up eating some stray fire and going down), and Terrian and Helen victorious. I'm quite content with how they're running. Besides Helen and Rie, they've got very little firepower, but they've got enough trickery and distraction going for them that they stand a chance against even the biggest bruisers.
Otherwise, not much news on that front. BB might be tickled to learn that the dial I'm using for Sly is Damon Baird from Gears of War, though.

The following is a transcript of Pohatu's thought process between the hours of 8:31 pm and 8:32 pm on Monday the 26th of September, 2011. It is not a joke. It is an exact transcript, presented in all seriousness for posterity. POHATU: "Oh look, Lugiasian posted in the Heroclix topic. I wonder if this is about Hector somehow." what happened to the hector figure you were making POHATU: "Ah."

There is a Hector I made years ago... I have no idea where he went, but somewhere in the household, there really is a teeny tiny Hector Cruz, hands on fire and everything. I have pictures somewhere, even
I'm going to make another when I get around to the Summoners, but I'm taking care of Cherrygrove (Zebedee, Ender, Sly, Natalie, Thyra) and the Rogues'n'Brogues (Terrian, Rie, Jonas, Alyssa, Rhys, Helen, Blaise, Nopcsa, Telrien) first. I realized that trying to do all three was a bit too much to focus on, so team Summoner sits out for now. (Well, that, and seriously, I have no idea how I'll fit Miko, Yoshimitsu, Hector, AND Rick on a team under 700 points. Nevermind Haze, Summer, Helen, Tsubota, and Joseph.)(For perspective, Cherrygrove is 400, and Rogues and Brogues, with their full roster, is 500.(I kick out the Fascere Order kids to put them at 400)
(There are a few gift characters I'm working on too, but I'm going to wait until I've practiced on the first set before I start making mods for friends.)

Just finished a sculpt/mod of Reba Winset, painted and ready to play. The one thing she needs is the symbol on her shirt, which... Well, that's going to be wicked hard to do, considering it's smaller than the emoticons on here.
Pics will be forthcoming the moment I can borrow a good camera.

Tried playing Cherrygrove in a match against Clicker and her husband. Clicker used an army of police officers, and her husband used a sorceress with an army of zombies. The battlefield was a rundown prison. Final tally? Natalie kicked a guy off a cliff, whiffed her attacks like nobody's business while eating fire from like everybody, and then went down with a grenade in her teeth that did some serious damage to team undead. Sly got bum rushed by the police, who didn't take kindly to a weird blue alien running around the prison (mind you, this was BEFORE they caught wind of the zombie swarm). He managed to take down a police dog with a ridiculous tail blade hit (6 damage, in a game where a gunshot is worth 2), but (due to ridiculously lame dice) refused to hurt any human beings. Thyra bulldozed into the room Sly went down in using her "Running Forcefield" move from Tuning, and knocked cops everywhere like tenpins, but eventually the riot squad pinned her down and took her out. Zebedee attempted to get revenge on them, but whiffed his attack to badly that he injured himself. He did manage to teleport-punch out the guy who took out Thyra, but his recoil from his first screw up left his stats too dismal to actually do much the rest of the game. Ironically, Ender survived the entire match, though a mummy punched him through a wall and left him gimping around. So, final tally is: Natalie dead, Thyra and Sly incarcerated, and Zebedee and Ender leaning on eachother, bloodied and limping away from an encroaching wave of zombie police officers. I'm afraid the Rogues and Brogues are... Quite a bit better at this.
