I'm through the first six episodes so far and am anxiously awaiting the moment when he goes totally badass as the rumors suggest.

I'm on episode 5. So he still hasn't gone badass? Haha, great. I'm waiting to see if Chane talks. Because right now, she is totally Rie. (although her hairstyle is a bit different, now that I've seen more of her)
This may be the only anime that's better in English than in Japanese, bee tee dubs.

Ok. I give in. I shall watch it at some point in time. You've made me horribly curious.

I'm waiting to see if Chane talks. Because right now, she is totally Rie. (although her hairstyle is a bit different, now that I've seen more of her) I think she's mute, but I've heard her "speak" to another character telepathically. You probably won't think her voice is very Rie-like; it's faintly accented. (I forget which episode. I've finished up to 11 so far. Hoping to get through the final five this evening. Christ, I love this show.)

I love the intro. It might be my new favorite.
PS. "'Cuzzi was angrier than I'd ever seen 'im. Which means he cried a whole lot more than usual."

I know. SO CLASSY.
They kind of balance things out, though, by using a regular ol' boring Japanese female crooner for the end credits music. Whatever.

I really love the cuts between scenes. It's so smooth. And the music of course.
Man, this topic totally got BACCANO-JACKED (bukake-jacked?). Maybe we should make a topic in the Moving Pictures forum.

Whichever of us finishes the series first should make a Moving Pictures topic to try and entice the rest of the forum to watch it. Peeps, it's only sixteen episodes. But it's sixteen episodes of glory. Man, but we do need to get back onto the topic of Family Photos. Uh... ...Ryuu and Aya?

Edward Cullen? Mr I-goddamn-sparkle-in-sunlight-i'm-so-hxc?
Also, I glanced at the name of this thread again and had an urge to sing "Family Portrait" by Pink.

I think Rachel looks more like Rie than Chane. You know, if Rie wore a wrap around her head.

My sister's watchin' "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and I'm not really doing so, but the way people are talking in it is totally how Narcissa should be. Not the Shakespearean stuff, but the whole "RIDICULOUSLY OVER DRAMATIC PUT ME IN A LOONY BIN" deal.
Speaking of which, who's up for bringing that idea back tonight?

This kid. Did we finalize appearance yet or is it still in nominations?

OMNOMNOM.
But really, we could go straight to the vote now. I'm considering dropping out of this part, because of how I kinda manipulated things...

My mental image of Tsubota: Don't know who that is, it was just the first GIS result for "blond bishounen". I could be way off but "blond bishounen" has always been my conception of Tsubota.

Oh, that's not Tsubota at all. Some night when I'm on my High Speed connection, I'll go and pull up an image that looks like him.
The closest I have to Bishonen would probably be Garth... Tsubota isn't exactly manly, but he is still toned and a bit too broad to be one of the noodle people. Well, there's that, and he has spring green hair. (Though to be fair, most Summoners are naturally blonde, since they're of German descent).

Most accurate Tsubota on Danbooru thusfar. Granted, remove all weapons, and put him in a white sweater, but still... Normally, Maude wears a white tunic with blue shorts underneath, but otherwise, this is about right.

Well, with the Summoners, it's because it's a racial characteristic (growing symbiotic algae in their hair for hygiene purposes. A South Pole Summoner rarely, if ever, would need to shampoo.) Basically, I though "Well, these people live in caves... sooo make them somewhat albinistic, and then let's throw in that growing microscopic plants in the hair since I once saw something on an African tribe doing something with moss." So, that three of four.
And then Natalie was originally very nature themed, so the green in the hair was just part of her blue-green color scheme. I'm considering giving her a significant haircut since Ender passed away, but I'm not sure what'd be fitting and maintain her appearance well.

You shouldn't worry about appearance so much. Realistically, all our characters should look like hell, given the things they've gone through.

Well, some of my characters do. It's been mentioned a few times that Zebedee, Joseph, Miko, and Pablo all have rather extensive scar collections. (Not to mention Garth "I have a nickel allergy" Firbolg) However, some (Natalie, Tsubota, Helen) have healing abilities, meaning that the only scars they'll be carrying are on their hearts and minds.
The characters that don't tend to be as scarred are naturally either ranged fighters (Thyra, Maude, kinda... Mark) or casters (Helen again, Blaise, Nopcsa). Achenes should, in theory, have a few more, but her combination of a heavily defensive style and covering pretty much her entire body, bar her lower face, tends to ameliorate this issue. She gets hit disproportionately rarely, and what she does get, she covers.

Ender wears a badass longcoat for a reason other than rule of cool, and when it's not on, the multitude of scars have been mentioned. Rie similarly, and her facial scars have been mentioned. She also tends to not get hit, and when she does get hit, it's by magic, which isn't physical trauma. Kinda.
