Long distance is ultra lame. Especially when you're in high school.

Even though I'm in one, I agree, local is a lot better for many different reasons. Perhaps more-so than age (to an extent).

Why has no one suggested actually just going to meet her?

Sometimes, simple is just better, huh?
I mean, I already know her, but yeah, maybe I should just try going out. Then again, I do believe I should wait until she's at least 17. Choices, choices...

Bub, what I mean to say is. Go meet her in person first and see what happens, you might click even more and that's great! The best way to get to know someone is in person. Hang out with her for a few days!

Straight men have horrible gaydar.
Gay men do not.

Gaydar can be used on girls too.

I'm mildly queer, so I have ok gaydar.
Also, I know the gay ones because they give me "the eye." I take it as a compliment, not a creeper stare.

I've got pretty good Gaydar, but that may be just my innate ability to predict things. I've got about an 80% accuracy, I'd say. Of course, I've only met a handful of lesbians in my living days. Lotta gay guys, but very few lesbians. That says something about the appearance of the average western NY woman, no?

Or maybe your gaydar's just not as good as mine?

Well, El, that's pretty obvious. He doesn't need a gaydar, you see.

Gay men aren't as good with their gaydar than they'd like to think a lot of the time. I get chatted up far too often by blokes!

I don't, purely for the fact I'm always with girls and the assume the opposite.

I am full of fail with my own sort of gaydar (I think it's busted).
Several of my friends I found out were lesbians (hilarious about one of my best buds; I found out by her introducing me to her girlfriend...LOL). And another bud of mine, from DeviantArt, I found out via her posting a photo of her and her girlfriend kissing while cosplaying.

Oh, that's a shame. Any chance of another shot coming along?

Maybe, I'm not sure if I'd go for another shot, given the above mentioned uncomfortable circumstances.
