Okay, as people who actually work on the site know, I'm working on a Mafia strategies section that'll be fairly comprehensive, covering most major ploys. So, anyways, post some up here. And by the way, we still need Mafia players, guys. Please join if you haven't yet.

Notable Occasions it was Used:
Name: Silent But Deadly
Alternate Names: The Strong Silent Type, Mum's the Word, Out of Sight and Out of Mind, Pulling a Pat
Sides That Can Use It: Both
Ingredients: No ingredients needed
Strategy: Dead men tell no tales (except ones along the lines of "BRAAAIIINNNSSS!", but I digress.), and those that tell no tales seldom end up dead. Generally, the more outspoken a player is, the more negative attention they draw from other factions. By keeping one's voice in things to a minimum, they reduce their influence on other players, but also reduce the chance of getting the axe (or whatever OTHER devilish demise there is that day). Though this tactic is somewhat underhanded and injurious to the game, when used in moderation, it can be the key to one's survival.
Notable Occasions it was Used: Too many to count. (I'd like some people to mention big ones, though. Wasn't Loogs like this in II?)
Name: Life Insurance Scam
Alternate Names: Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, The Pope Will Save Me!
Sides That Can Use It: Mafia
Ingredients: Needs to be in a game with Resurrections, and needs a rube with a resurrection.
Strategy: The Innocents are blind. The Mafia has eyes everywhere. Yes, even there. A Mafia member, when the vote is well enough ahead against an Innocent, can go and "turn" against their breathren and vote with the innocents in the town vote. With luck, they'll be able to do this several days in a row, and get in good with the innocents (hopefully, not costing their team any lives). Once they have, if an Innocent that trusts the Mafia member has a Resurrection, it's time to progress to stage 2 of the deception.
The Mafia must go and kill off the person who has "sided" with the Innocents with their nightly execution. With any luck, the Innocents will revive them the following day, leading to them losing a powerful tool, AND allaying almost all (that's a lot of Al!) of the Innocent's suspicions of them.
For extra fun, have the Godfather be the traitor so even the Detective can't catch it.
Notable Occasions it was Used: Infamously in Mafia II
I know that's only two of MANY you guys have cooked up. Post away!
