I'm currently plotting a Final Mafia Fantasy game that'll use an actual class system modeled after FF Tactics.
It's going to freaking blow your mind with its beautiful contradiction of depth and simplicity, but no more of that now. I'll not be hosting another Mafia game until at least a few installments down the road, I imagine.

I've got a Death Note themed Mafia game I want to see ran in October, although it could have a different host. That'd net a few firsts (First Exodus Game with a different creator and host, first game with three factions, etc.)
Tactics based? *Monroe opens a locker* SAWEET!

Yeah, it's going to be awesome. You start the game (whether Innocent or Mafia) as either a Squire or a Chemist, and then every day (or night, I'm not sure) you get a job point that you can spend to increase the level of one of your jobs. All jobs can be raised up to level 3. Increasing a job level grants a new power or effect, and it also opens the possibility of taking a new class. For instance, you can only become a Dragoon if you've reached Monk Level 3 and Thief Level 2, both of which have their roots in the Squire class.
I'm about halfway through assigning the various powers and effects. Some will be familiar Mafia standbys -- the White Mage, for instance, functions like the Doctor -- but others will be quite new. I'm super excited. But, like I say, this is all for a much later time.

Sounds complicated, almost like it could kill off all activity, burn lots of bridges, and leave players such as myself confusleded, oh whatever im totally in when that comes around. You better incorporate sniper to that character roster cause its a totally badass position to have....
Damn, I think I may waste this whole day playing tatics through again, before going to a house party =)

I've never been.
Then again I've only played one game out of four.

Is it gonna be that you can only have two abilities active and the rest you've picked up can be switched between? That might be pretty good. Monk/Thief always was my class, though when possible, I'd go with two-swords ability for the awesome of just pummeling things.

That's an extremely important question, the answer to which I still can't decide.
My instinct is to say yes, but then how would switching work? Obviously it can't be instantaneous or you'd really have access to all your powers in a night. I'm thinking abilities would take a full day/night cycle to switch, and you could only make one substitution a night.
Maybe I'd allow for three abilities at a time instead of two, though.

Nope.... It never started. It died. Horribly so.

It died because Pope and Ocelot fail at signing up. If I could get a solid nine to twelve people, I'd run it, for sure. But we always fall two short or so...

I'll get the stick. Lee, you threaten them with visions of orange eyes. We'll have them one way or another.

If Bulbs and Loogs are both here to stay, we should definitely be able to drum up enough members to make this work (although a couple of people who'd been running the show in the last month or so seem to have vanished lately, especially Kevin and Prime). Let's see what the situation is after the Post Race.
