Since we’ve got exactly ten players at the moment, I’d like to bring out a personal favorite game o’ mine: the Treasure Chest.
You have been randomly assigned into two groups. The first person to post within each group becomes that group’s Player A. The second to post becomes that group’s Player B, and so on.
Each group has found a buried treasure chest containing 100 denarii. It is Player A’s duty to propose a deal to the other players. S/he must post announcing a way to divide the denarii among all five players. For instance, Player A might write:
DEAL: 100 A, 0 B, 0 C, 0 D, 0 E
Of course that particular deal might not be passed. Because once Player A proposes this, all five players must vote on whether or not to accept the deal. Do this by writing:
VOTE FOR: Deal A
or
VOTE AGAINST: Deal A
Yes, even Player A gets a vote. And in the case of a tie, his/her vote counts double.
If the majority rules in favor of the deal, all players get the amount of denarii Player A proposed for them. If the majority rules against the deal, Player A gets kicked off the island and is out of the game. Now Player B proposes a deal for how to divide it among only him/herself and Players C through E. If these four manage to agree, they get the denarii; if they disagree, Player B gets kicked off, and so on.
Eventually, if the majority keeps voting against, it’ll just be Player D and Player E. At that point, Player D gets to keep as much as he wants because his vote will count double if there’s a tie. Yee!
The groups are:
Cinders (Player A), Lee (Player B), Baboon (Player C), Andurin (Player D) and Kazkame (Player E) Pikachu (Player A), Loogs (Player B), Prime (Player C), the Pope and Ocelot
So if no one else in your group has posted yet, propose a deal and become Player A. If someone else has already posted, vote on Player A’s deal.
Please to be beginning now!

*taunts Loogs and Ocelot, who are the only P-eople who don't start with the letter P in their group.*
Kazkame, say what we want to hear! 16 for you, and 21 for the four of us. Or, even better, 0 for you, and 25 for the rest of us!
Guys, if Kazkame's proposal isn't as good for us, I'll give each of you 30 and I'll take 10.

Ye can't be proposin' ta give specifical members specifical numbers until ye do be knowin' who be who. Lord love me, I can't even tell if ye made a proposal at all. I'd advise ye to be adherin' ta th' clearly outlined formula from now on, ye scalawag.

Or free lack thereof. And Photu, may I say, I am a carpet bagger, and not a scalawag. I come in, attempting to take advantage of a negative situation. And I make what may be hollow promises, like a politician in the night!

I doubtfully, derisively decline dangerously deciding to be player A on the grounds that Baboon may eat my head. Whatwith that whole A incident and such.

You don't have to alliteratize any more. Being dead, it turns out, is a cure for posting requirements. And you stay cured even if you're brought back to life.

Aww, but then the people with awful posting requirements would want to die. Anyway, I shall be A, since, well, I can. DEAL: 12 A, 22 B, 22 C, 22 D, 22 EJust because I feel selfless today.

DEAL: 23 A 8 B 23 C 23 D 23 E For messing with my skins, bitch. >.> *KARMA-POW!* Which means more denarii for you, boys. VOTE FOR: Deal A I believe you failed to read my post correctly, although you wouldn't be the first. The order of the names in my first post didn't matter at all. I was just putting them down as the Random-o-Numberator gave them to me. You were not necessarily Player A -- although you became such since you were the first person in your group to post. And Prime isn't necessarily Player B. Strike that. Forgot about Pikachu. You're Player B, and Pikachu is Player A. Now nobody else in your group is going to post because nobody wants to get the 8 denarii. After all, whoever in your group posts next must automatically become Player B. Maybe you'd like to revoke that deal and propose a new one? i tell you these children all they do is complain about the game i'm trying to host and when they participate they don't even read the rules such ingrates the whole lot of them

Woah there young Padawan I believe that I am Mr. A in our group and therefor shall be the one doing the proposing.
Nevermind the fact that you can't possibly know which letter Prime will be or the fact that you are infact letter B yourself. We must wait for the others to post before proposing any deal.

[EDIT] - But you were not first to post a deal... >.> [EDIT] - oh meh i never get to be right do i?no, fate is not kind to lady loogs....no it is not....i still want to tear someone a new colonI realized that too. I should have been more specific. I meant to say "propose a deal". But since I wrote "post", and since I'd rather not retroactively change the rules for like the umpteenth time between these two games, I'm going to have to give Pikachu the Player A status. It is true, though, that I expect Pikachu to propose a deal forthwith. see i'm wrong sometimes tooI read the rules... Woah, since when was there a little "colors" drop down menu above the quick reply box? *eyes it suspiciously* I will reward the first group with its denarii now. [DELETED DUE TO HOST FAVORITISM]

Oh, I added the dropdown colors menu. I still haven't found a miracle code to make BB green again, but I sure found some other stuff to make the boards better. I've got some additions that'll be forthcoming when we have the set up, including an MIDI player that'll include some stuff that Photu whipped up and such.

I think I could fix the BB issue, however, I'd need access to the main administrative account, which I'm sure you've no intention of giving out. Like, ever.

Prime. You have no right to tell me what is favoritism and what isn't. You have no right to delete content from my posts on a whim.
Don't do that again.

Yeah, that is kinda Photu's own call. Host favoritism was a major factor in the last game of Mafia. Hosts don't need to be unbiased, it's not a staff role to be a game host. The fact that staff run all of our games is just coincidental, due to staff members making up about 75% of our actives.
The BB issue is VERY tricky. It's set to staff, and Coffee is told "Admit all Staff", but yeah....

The Host is suppost to be completely impartial. The game is neither fair nor fun what the Host decides he'd like to guide one specific person. Is this fact is still contested, very well, but then I'll have to insist that all the admins get together jointly with Pohatu to decide on some official rules for Mafia.
VOTE: DEAL A (Just to stay on topic here.)
