Ahhh... so many memories.
I joined Pokeschool back in April 1st, 2000 (yes, the Beckett ad). I am one of the oldest Pokeschoolers, with Glenn, Magmar2K, Gengar, Misty, Kara, and Coco before me. I was there and saw pretty much every change the boards had, every war, and every damn spammer.
At first, what got me there was mostly the card game, and that's were I polished my skills. Soon after, I was a deck doctor for a few months. Then, I began writing fanfictions, and shortly after articles.
One day, I logged onto the site to find out I'm now a mod. WTF? I had no idea how that happened, so I logged on to AIM to ask Glenn about it (whom I talked to every now and then)...
Me: glenn, how come I'm now a mod? Glenn: You're now a mod? Me: i thought you were the one that made me one... Glenn: Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you about it. You are now officially a mod. Me: ...
After that weird incident, I started modding on several forums, including the Article Forum I suggested Glenn, and some of the videogame forums. I stopped being a deck doctor after that, but still helped every now and then.
No one might remember this, but I RPed when the CCGCenter expanded into it's different forums. I was, for a short time, a RPer in the Dragon Ball RP forums, and for a very, very short time at the Pokemon RP forums.
Back in the day, I swore I would never leave Pokeschool. And I was there, until the very end. Sadly, Pokeschool is no more...

Y'know, I don't even remember. Think I might have found Pokeschool through Baboon's Pokemon Card of the Day, back when he was doing them. I do remember that I was part of 3 incarnations of Pokeschool (if you count TCGPlayer as a Pokeschool incarnation; I joined only a couple of months before one of the moves, actually), left TCGPlayer about -- 1 1/2 - 2 years ago, was it? -- came back to find TCGPlayer pretty much dead, then got told about this place by Elliot, and... well, here I am now.
On an OT note, if anyone kept any sort of archives of the PRP sections of the 2 incarnations of Pokeschool before TCGPlayer, please let me know -- I'd like to be able to read through some of my older PRP posts.

web.archive.org/web/20050206024813/www.pokeschool.com/forum/That should do a lot of good. That's archive.org's copy of the Nov. 2003 - Jan. 2005 Snitz boards. (Meaning, the really good time period before the TCGplayer move.) I haven't tried everything on there, but it appears that a good number of the posts are still available. ...at least the first 25 threads of each forum, I mean. I'm trying to see if there's any possible way to go deeper. I really hate how things so important to us can be lost so easily...

Chedy did apologise for losing all the data from the snitz and not moving it across to TCGplayer, its a shame really as a lot of people would have stayed around the forum if he'd just moved across all the active topics rather than making people either move across the topics themselves or leave them for dead (119 pages of "the guy above me" lost!!)

I don't know whether or not I believe he "lost" the forums. That's certainly what he said happened. But, I wouldn't doubt for a moment that it may have been done intentionally. We were complaining an awful lot about how the new boards weren't as good. Either way though, the end result is the same. By the way, web.archive.org/web/20050206023736/www.pokeschool.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi is the archive of the pre-Snitz boards... It doesn't look like anything was saved on that one though. =\

Oh dear God, I just read something I wrote on the internet when I was TWELVE. This archive thing sucks.
I'm 19 in about three weeks, if this gives you any kind of time frame.

Oh, I know what you mean V101... I didn't know what a writing was when I was little...
Bad thing is, we get our portfolios of writing from freshman year back at the end of the year... I'm gonna be so embarrassed for myself, even though no one else is reading it.

JUST IMAGINE YEARS AND YEARS OF OMG Except the paper I wrote for my film class last semester, I totally pwnd it, I got a 102. HECKYES. If you ever want to watch and analyze Manhattan, TTLY READ MY PAPER BECAUSE IT'S AMAZING

Know what is saddest of all? My roleplaying skills might be better, but the quality of my vocabulary and depth to descriptions is now rather lacking when compared to the things I used to do at the old boards back in 1999 - 2001. I feel so ashamed, and it might be a proving of my dad's belief that you lose knowledge as you age.
And damn that archive for losing the entire RP forum! *shakes fist*

I found this place by searching similar forums until I found familiar names, since I knew my "friends" had joined a forum but they didn't tell me about it for one reason or another. However that is all in the past and now I'm here.

So, did you silly kids manage to dig up any real archives, or do any archiving yourselves?

Hope found a very small archive of the RP boards, though I forget whether or not the topics were actually accessible.
