Yeah i wasnt too happy about the whole teddy victorie thing... Or the fact that harry talks about him coming over several nights a week, as Harry was his godfather, shouldn't he have lived with him anyway? Tis just a thought, I mean ok I can understand that he'd live with his grandmother or something, its just I could see Harry raising him which would be pretty badass..

Harry was 17 and not exactly wise as to how kids were raised. Teddy's grandma would be the best candidate as she's family and had children before. Pohatu, your explanation covers it sufficiently for me. Did anyone else find it interesting that Harry and Voldemort were related?

WHY DID <SPOILER> HAVE TO DIE?!?
Guh. I was so angry.
Especially at the epilogue. They still talk like they're 17 year olds, even though they should be 26. Or maybe that's just me. But the epilogue didn't tickle my fancy.
But otherwise, that was a great book. I thought I reached the climax of the book, but then I realized I was only about halfway done.
Oh, and McGonagall leading a charge of animated desks = awesome.

Oh, and McGonagall leading a charge of animated desks = awesome. Dear lord, you're right! I didn't even notice that my first time through. Wow. That's badass.

Yes. I had respect for McGonnagal before. But then she used an Unforgivable curse AND lead a charge of animated desks. That was amazing.

By the way, some admin now needs to mega-exalt Kazkame (specifically, he'll need 49 karma).

I lost 50 karma on that bet. Which means, by the Transitive Property of Pohatu and Kazkame, that you gained 50 karma on that bet. Minus one since someone exalted me at some point.

Wow....
(This is a one word post)
{EDIT} Which ever Admin reads this first go on ahead and give pohatu back his karma... I never really intended on keeping Pohatu's karma... had it been anyone else I would keep it... mainly cause it would take to long for me to exault Pohatu to the point where he was equal to me again.

that video was stupid, everyone knew snape killed dumbledore, international news syndicates broadcast it weeks before the book came out, it was the least spoiled spoiler ever. That kid prolly also drove by and said that on book 7 like a faggot
regardless, was neville and luna even part of the book? isnt it just something the movies had made up to add to the other 1 and half hours that the last movie is that doesnt follow the book and isnt cannon, i mean the entire movie is modern day and funny stuff, i think one thing happens thats in the books, its pretty disappointing what they did with the movies from 4 on

harry potters sun having a justin beiber haircut and skinny jeans made me hate the movie, ruined the entire thing the last 3 minutes

well if it's any consolation, the epilogue ruined the entire book 7 for me too.
but yeah, Neville and Luna i think we're doing the whole Hero of Another Story thing in the book. i didn't watch the movie yet so i guess they are covering that other story or something.

tehy didnt even mention remus and tonks son, they only breifly showed him, like 2 seconds, and they only briefly showed tons and remus and fred dead. I mean hell, they spent exactly 7 minutes on harry taking out the pensive in dumbledores office, not looking into it, just preparing it, and spent exactl 3 minutes and 42 seconds on the deaths of fred, remus, and tonks. The movies have never catered to the fan, its catered to the person who doesnt read books and wants hollywood flair, with all your typical changed and left out stuff that any book to movie experiences. They even killed voldemort wrong. In the movie he magically turns to ashe and goes away in the wind. In the book he dies. His frail lifeless MORTAL body lies there as he dies. It PROVES he is, after all, just a man, a mortal. Not some magical being who turns to dust and goes into the morning air. Terrible ending.

you have to change things to adapt them to other media. it is a simple fact that there are techniques which work better in one medium than another.

yes we had this argument already
it cost rough 2 million for that lilttle animation effect
having him lay there would of been free, comparatively, and with a simple line change, in which its not like they didnt already change 900 lines, would give the full effect, the change they did made no sense, in money, story, and medium
