I just was looking through here, and noticed that Vincent sprite. Incredible, incredible texturing and shading on the clothes. Too good for a Pokemon sprite, even. While we're in LADC mode... I did another take on Helen's design, to give you artsy folks reference for the contest. Considering her most recent sprite in stage gear prior to this one, I'd say it's an improvement. (Though the skirt is longer now, so Choobs disapproves. I dunno. I feel like it gives her more maturity to her appearance.) Also, if anybody guesses what sprite her hair came from, I'll give them 20 of my EP.

I hope you don't mind if I draw her without the cape. Hate drawing those.

That's not a cape. That's curly hair, albeit somewhat hard to tell due to the unfortunate angle of her hat. Of course, the fact that I did it from scratch and the Firebreather didn't help my efforts any.
(Fun fact for spriters: Curly hair and fire, unlike in real life, are very easily interchangable.)
Of course, if you don't want to draw that much hair, she's also been known to put it up in a gigantic bun under her hat to keep it in place.
And for people that don't want to draw her in a skirt, she's also been known to magic up a suit of platemail.
She's kinda variable like that, though this is her most common look.

Oh fuck.
I hope you don't mind if her hair comes down to around her shoulders.
The thing is I'm done with the drawing.

Well, as long as it's longish, it's fine. I'll probably put up the finalized description post after the results of the polls, either tomorrow night or Sunday morning. We'll see what happens.
But, as I said, Helen is variable. I don't think any character of mine has sported quite as many different looks as her, except maybe Zebedee throughout a decade.

Quite a while back, in 2008 I think, my friend began working on a hack for Pokemon Emerald version, altering it into his own world, and the gym leaders, and elite four, were based of of real people that he knew and enjoyed battling. I made it into his game, as one of the elite four! this is my sprite, and that is how I looked in 2008, haha. I wish I could do spriting, I'm not patient enough to pull it off...

Tim with longish hair? There's something I haven't thought of. Not a shabby sprite, considering Gen III... (Personally, I think Gen III was my favorite to work with as a spriter. Simple enough that it was quick and easy to work with, but more detailed than most of Gen II, where you'd be lucky to get shading, nevermind detail. But Gen IV looks SO NICE...) While my internet was down for a while last week, I pieced this one together. There. I actually did a self-portrait I'm content with, at long last. I haven't had a good one since a Zebedee back on TCGPlayer. Still can't get stubble/beard to look good, but hey, clean-shaven Lee is an okay compromise.

So, I'm using Windows XP again, which probably explains why I've done my first sprites since 2011. I'm especially proud of the Lacianus. The other two are okay, though a bit rough in areas, whereas I think she came out as one of my better ones of all time. I was trying for giving her an outfit that both fit her style (Kinda a punky teenage casual), and yet was a single shirt change away from being passable Obsidian Hearts dress code.

Ganesh should be around half Laksha's height -- therefore, somewhere in between the party/PC icon and the battle sprite -- but I imagine you could get away with just resizing the battle sprite a bit to the appropriate proportions, no? As for Donphan... nah, better keep it a Phanpy. It'll be a long time before Ganesh evolves, much longer than Minnow. And most Mystery Dungeon quotes are inane. But endearingly so in a campy sort of way. Dodrio 51%-100% HP I'm gonna do my best! Me too! Me too! 26%-50% HP My HP's half gone! Mine too! Mine too! 1%-25% HP I'm fainting! Me too! Me too! Level Up My level went up! Mine too! Mine too! Exeggutor 51%-100% HP Let's go get 'em! I agree! I agree, too! 26%-50% HP Only half the HP is left! It's half! It's half! 1%-25% HP I can't anymore! Neither can I! Nor me! Level Up Leveled up! Leveled up! Leveled up! Revisiting this discussion in light of a new quote I discovered: Chinchou: Want me to light you up from behind? Yeah, there's no way to take THAT wrong.

Why am I getting an error thing that says "please upgrade your account to allow 3rd party hosting" instead of the image that you posted?
