Prime took a deep, shivering breath. The room was spinning, but it slowly settled down as the shimmer over his chest dulled, then faded. He pulled his hand out of his chest, having just magically inserted something within him.
He was in a large room, Yoshimitsu standing next to him, looking slightly on edge. Prime smiled in apology, and then a voice spoke once more in his head. He turned to look at a tablet in the center of the room, glowing white hot; he could feel it singe his skin from where he stood. It imparts the knowledge of what you can endure, a voice said, and Prime slowly nodded. He placed the back of his hand against it, and stoically took the pain as knowledge was burned into him.
When he could stand no more, he quickly removed his hand, and held it to his chest, blowing on the burn, which was shaped like the head of a dragon.
"Right, that hurt like hell," Prime said, more than a little strain in his voice. He looked around the room, the glyphs covering great pillars that ran up the sides of the dome, meeting at the center of the ceiling. Looked more than a little sturdy. He also turned his head to look at the sword, seemingly shoved at random, into the stone floor. It had magical writing around it, and the writing was clearly read, for it gave understanding to all those who looked upon it.
Cursed.
The sword was cursed, a long, heavy black blade, flared around the grip instead of sporting a separate guard, and a leather-wrapped black handle. Its aura was slight, and violet.
Prime looked at Yoshimitsu, and they shared a brief nod. They'd already decided that, should Prime be unable to master the blade, Yoshimitsu would do anything up to and including cutting off his hand to get the buggered thing away from him.
Prime slowly walked over to the sword, grabbed the hilt, and pulled it from the ground.
Images flashed through his mind, images of death, destruction. Of demonic creatures wielding the blade, overtaken by its hatred and madness. Prime could feel its greed and hatred washing over him, trying to overtake his mind. He held it at bay with his will, barely, understanding its creation and its anger. He would be unable to overcome it, and he could already feel his body changing at its touch. Prime smiled grimly, an aura that looked like violet flame rising from him.
And suddenly it cleared. However, all his clothing turned jet black. His armor, as well, had taken on a darker hue. A few small, violet crystals burst from his back, charged with auras that interconnected with each other, forming jetlike wings. They lifted him slightly off the ground, and Prime turned slowly back to Yoshimitsu, sinking back to earth.
"I am Tranced though the sword," he said, his eyes shining a dim violet. "In this state it understands me, its wrath is unending, but it will no longer harm. It senses.... my understanding," Prime said. "And in this Tranced State, I share its curse, its anger, but it is not inflicted upon me. And I do not share its lack of self-control."
Prime opened his free hand, and a large violet sheath appeared. He hooked it to his belt, and sheathed the black bladed sword. "This sword is called Geilaidu. Forged into it is the soul of a black dragon, which ruled over the light of the new moon," Prime said. "It is a powerful blade, I think, cursing its own existence for falling in combat to the one who forged it."
Prime pursed his lips, usually he wouldn't condone such an act, especially if the dragon weren't evil. This one...was tainted, but not evil. Its wrath was just.

"I can't believe you put that thing inside you," Yoshimitsu commented, his face an expression of repulsion. It had not looked even remotely pleasant. Prime's face had distorted in an effort to prevent him from screaming, though Yoshimitsu reasoned that he might have imagined that. However, the sword was something else. Prime had already explained it to him. It was similar, he thought, to the darkness. It might do something to manipulate its wielder, corrupt them or alter their personality. And Yoshimitsu knew only too well what the darkness could do.
"Though a soul forged into a weapon, that's kinda neat," Yoshimitsu continued, his expression changing to a thoughtful one. It reminded him of his own sword, the Bahamut Blade. The difference was that the Bahamut Blade did not have Bahamut forged into it. It was more of a vessel for the dragon, when he was not taking a physical form. Much less complicated, in Yoshimitsu's opinion, and much more convenient. Yoshimitsu fingered the hilt of his sword.
"Makes you wonder just what it can do," he said, his voice layered with suggestion as he drew his blade. Instantly, gold and blue flames erupted from the guard and spread down the length of the sword. He shot Prime an expression that was playful but challenging.

Prime smirked, redrawing the blade and falling into a deeper Trance with it. The violet light from the crystal on his back intensified, until the field of light it generated resembled draconic wings of light. Gealaidu flared with violet light, and the aura that Prime had emitted earlier snapped back on. A fierce wind pushed at Yoshimitsu as the flaming violet aura blazed. Prime smiled, the casual movement of his blade generating even more insane wind force.
"As the dragon was forged into this blade, so were all its traits!" Prime howled over the wind, "Every motion of this blade carries the furious wingbeat of a giant dragon!" His laughter could faintly be heard over the wind from the blade. And hanging in the air, there was an eagerness from the blade, to cut and kill. A perceptive mind could feel Prime restraining it.
"Right, so let's get this show on the road!" Prime yelled over the wind again. "Lasnios Fadtonn!" Prime howled, snapping the sword through a short arc.
A wave of black energy edged with violet howled through the air, it was not a physical attack, but composed entirely of spirit energy. It wouldn't cause any more physical damage to Yoshimitsu than his body reacted to, but attack his spirit. And as his spirit lessened, those injuries would slowly become physical.
His own spirit would be flooded, and carve away at his body.

"Okay, here we go!" Yoshimitsu gripped his sword tightly and jumped, spinning with astounding grace as he ascended. The blade blurred for a moment, then released a sheet of blue and gold flames in a crescent of Bahamut's Mega Flare. The fire met the spirit energy and exploded brilliantly, slowing it just long enough for Yoshimitsu to twist out of the way. He landed as the blade crashed into the wall behind him.
"Spirit attacks, neat," Yoshimitsu commented. "But they're no good if you can't keep up!"
The blue-haired teenager pointed two fingers at Prime, like a gun. With a sound like a cannon firing, a ball of electricity exploded from his hand and blasted at Prime. Without pausing, Yoshimitsu jumped back and struck the air rapidly. Each strike sent another wave of blue and gold, filling the air with unbearable flames.

Prime image-hazed and then flashed out of existence as Yoshimitsu fired his first lightning ball attack, he reappeared practically right in front of Yoshimitsu.
"Speed has always been my forte," Prime said. He twisted through a powerful series of patterns, countering the megaflare attacks with powerful spirit waves channeled through his own sword.
He flashed forward, his sword impacting Yoshimitsu's, slamming them into one of the pillars. Prime grinned over their blades, sliding off of Yoshimitsu's blade with tremendous force, then slipped into a series of patterns designed to confuse and draw out multiple feints, creating openings through which Prime could jab his blade at Yoshimitsu.

"Oh yeah? Too bad I'm faster," Yoshimitsu taunted. He cottoned on to Prime's attacks quickly. The attempt to confuse him was admirable. Prime really was an expert with a sword. In hand-to-hand, Yoshimitsu knew he was outmatched. In terms of speed, however, Yoshimitsu had the upper hand. As Prime jabbed his sword at Yoshimitsu, the blue-haired teenager ducked so quickly that his figure was blurred. Seizing his chance, he quickly responded with an uppercut to Prime's chin.

The pommel of Prime's sword met Yoshimitsu's fist, and Prime looked down at him with a smirk on his face.
"Sorry, incorrect assumption," Prime said, pushing down hard and fast on Yoshimitsu's fist, pushing it out of the way at the same time that he launched a massive spirit wave attack from his sword. "Lasnios Fadtonn," Prime said, practically filling half the room with spirit energy. Barriers around the edges of the room flared as the attack was spent against ancient dragon magic.

"We'll see about that," Yoshimitsu muttered, curling himself into a ball. As he did so, two giant ghostly wings formed around him and quickly wrapped themselves around his figure like a cocoon. The spirit energy burned at the wings, patches appearing in them as they faded away. As soon as Yoshimitsu realised this, the wings beat violently and forced the spirit energy to dissipate.
"Not bad, it's getting harder to defend myself," Yoshimitsu commented. "I might have to go on the offense for a bit."
Yoshimitsu's blade arm flared, suddenly consumed by gold and blue flames. The plate armour formed there, Bahamut's metallic head, the spikes down the plates. Yoshimitsu smirked a little as he struck the air in front of him again, sending a stronger wave of blue and gold at his opponent.

Prime uttered a draconic word, and coughed up blood. He raised his free hand, and a bolt of lightning jetted from it in a sustained line, impacting the megaflare and forming a barrier against the attack. With some grunting and application of elbow grease, Prime pushed the attack aside, and into the barrier wall.
His eyes glowed; he synched even deeper with the sword, letting himself overtake the sword, and the sword overtake himself. The hilt of the sword lengthened, and another blade sprouted from the other end. Draconic armor spread over Prime's body, until he was wearing a set of light plate that still allowed plenty of room for movement, and covered his exposed areas in chain.
Prime flourished the sword above his head, spirit energy whirling around it. In a final effort of synching with the blade, long horns emerged from the sides of his temple, curling around behind his head and to the front again. His eyes were now completely glowing violet.
"LASNIOS FADDTON!" a deep, draconic voice screamed, causing the rock that made up the room to creak and rumble.
A swirling vortex of energy bolted toward Yoshimitsu at high speed, impacting with more than significant force. Barriers all around the room flared and sputtered as they absorbed the force of the attack.

"Holy shit," Yoshimitsu muttered, crouching again and covering his body with the plate armour before the energy impacted. He could sense the strain on Bahamut. This power that Prime was now releasing, it was nothing the blue-haired teenager had ever encountered before. It was almost as though it bypassed his body and attacked his very soul. Or Bahamut's, as the case was. Using all of his willpower, and Bahamut's strength, Yoshimitsu sliced through the attack.
"Bahamut, are you all right?" Yoshimitsu asked urgently.
"I am... unsure. That attack was not a physical blow. It seems to attack the life force, rather than the body," Bahamut replied.
"We just can't be hit then," Yoshimitsu decided.
"All right, Prime, let's see just what you can do," Yoshimitsu taunted. He stood up to his full height again, pointing the Bahamut head at Prime as he focused. Without warning, a full-power Mega Flare exploded from his fist, blasting at the red-haired warrior. Immediately, Yoshimitsu was on the move. He circled around Prime, too fast for a human eye to follow, and charged straight on. Instead of using his blade to strike, Yoshimitsu jumped and spun in the air, bringing his heel sweeping round at Prime's head.

Sensing Yoshimitsu's strategy, Prime uttered another draconic word, covering his arm in silver light. With his free left arm, he intercepted the megaflare with a massive grunt; twisting in the air, he kicked it straight down into the floor. He brought his silver forearm around, elbow batting Yoshimitsu's leg aside, and struck a back-handed blow with his sword, flipping the blade around, the edge headed straight for Yoshimitsu's heart.

Yoshimitsu twisted in the air, moving just quickly enough to escape the brunt of the attack. However, the tip of Prime's blade pierced his chest. Yoshimitsu, as soon as his feet touched the floor again, jumped straight back and out of Prime's reach. Despite having felt the blade pierce his skin, Yoshimitsu could find no trace of a cut. He lifted his t-shirt to check, and found a glowing purple mark in the exact shape of where the cut should have been.
"Yoshimitsu, whatever you do, do not power up," Bahamut ordered, his voice urgent.
"Why not?"
"Your powered up form converts your life energy into power. With that wound, your life energy will just erupt out of you."
"Oh. Right. Shit."
Yoshimitsu gritted his teeth. The sword that Prime had was dangerous. No wonder it had been branded 'cursed'. From now on, Yoshimitsu could not risk taking any more blows from that sword. It was far too dangerous. He concentrated briefly, then sent tendrils of electricity spreading over the entire chamber and heading for Prime.

Prime uttered another draconic word, his eyes glowing bright with blue electricity. He opened his mouth, and started sucking in all the electricity that Yoshimitsu had unleashed. When he finished, he closed his mouth, blood slowly leaking from its corners as he struggled not to cough.
And unleashed all the concentrated energy at Yoshimitsu as a lethal blast of lightning.
Prime's sword impacted the ground, pushing him off towards Yoshimitsu, following the bolt. He struck the point of the bolt's impact, twisted, and repeated the strikes several times, before backing off with a burst of speed.
"Lasnios Faddton!" he shouted, ending his assault with another lethal burst of swirling energy.

"Oh no you don't," Yoshimitsu growled as the electricity he had just released was redirected back. Behind the lightning, he saw Prime make his move and readied himself. Prime might have been some kind of blade god, but Yoshimitsu would not let that intimidate or overwhelm him. Before the blast could impact, he vanished and replaced himself with a rough ice body. Stray electrical tendrils still found their way to the electrical warrior, causing his limbs to spasm and his mind to almost shut down, but he regained control of himself quickly.
Again, Yoshimitsu ran at Prime and jumped. He performed a spin-kick before backing off again and firing another mega flare. Then he vanished again, moving around the chamber at an alarmingly high speed. As he ran, he released more and more mega flares from his sword.
"Yoshimitsu, I must rest, I am sorry," Bahamut muttered weakly. Shocked by just how drained the dragon sounded, Yoshimitsu dismissed him quickly. He was left with no extra help to fight with now.

Prime cursed, cutting through the megaflares with his double-edged weapon. They did not, however, cleave easily, and began to leave burns on his skin through his armor. He deflected the last one with a flourish, and set his blade pointing toward Yoshimitsu. The blades began to burst with spirit energy, growing heavier, bending the light in the room towards them. They drew a line of darkness toward Yoshimitsu, forming a void that pulled on the man's shirt and skin.
"Ruaig Lasnios Fadtonn!" Prime said, throwing the weapon.
It howled towards Yoshimitsu at insane speed, and made its attack with a secondary burst of energy that shook the room, the primary being far more deadly taken directly, literally pushing the soul out of the target and obliterating it.
Prime only realized what he'd launched after he'd thrown it.
"Oh shit! GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!!!" Prime yelled, darting forward after the weapon.

"You're sloppy, uncoordinated and an open target," Alex taunted, brushing a few strands of aqua hair from his fringe.
"I am not," Yoshimitsu snapped back, raising his sword again. He charged Alex, but was once again met with a swift kick to the gut. No matter what he tried, Alex somehow passed his guard and landed a solid blow. He was convinced that his bones were shattered and his body bruised.
"Until you learn which you use, you are worthless," Alex commented, his voice ice-cold. Somehow he appeared right next to Yoshimitsu, their faces nearly touching. Without any warning, Yoshimitsu felt himself being thrown through the air. He landed painfully, as always when he fought the water adept. He was back on his feet in seconds, ignoring the way his left arm bent at an unnatural angle, the way his legs seemed to shake from the weight of his body. He lunged at Alex again, his sword slicing through the air.
"No, Yoshimitsu!" Alex spat, his kunai blocking the strike easily. "I wish it hadn't come to this, but I have no choice."
"What the f*ck are you talking about?" Yoshimitsu snapped back.
"It's time to break the barriers of your soul so your true self can emerge."
~*~*~
Yoshimitsu smirked.
This was child's play, almost. Prime might have been powerful, but Yoshimitsu had a power that Prime could not grasp. His sword flared up with white flames as he deflected the incoming weapon and its energy. He raised his sword, making note of how it landed away from the red-haired attacker.
"No chance."
Pillars of light surrounded the weapon, each one glowing violently and blindingly. Yoshimitsu pointed his sword at Prime.
"Welcome to the power of Light."
A massive beam blasted out of the tip. There was no charge time, no hesitation, just a beam of pure Light. It moved with unbelievable speed, blasting its way toward Prime.
OOC- "Light" =/= light. It's a metaphor ;D well, kinda.

Prime's eyes widened, and the power of the attack slammed into him, breaking his link with the weapon. It transformed back into its original shape, point down in the ground, and Prime was suddenly a normal human again, being pushed across the draconic grounds by an attack that far eclipsed his ability.
Blood pounded in his head, Prime grabbed onto the attack. There was a spurt of blood as veins burst, a death's head grin split Prime's face, and his feet dug into the ground. The whites of his eyes turned red, with the emerald irises of his eyes staring out wildly at the world.
Prime worked one forearm in front of the attack, and with a massive heave, pounded it aside. He started laughing wildly as the attack pounded into one of the draconic barriers, expending itself.

"Don't think for a second that I'm done there," Yoshimitsu taunted, his irises and pupils turning white. He ran at Prime again, each footstep leaving a white flame in its wake. He launched a slash, meters from the red-haired individual, and released a wave of white and pale blue. He vanished, reappearing behind Prime, and released a second. Then a third, from another direction. Finally, Yoshimitsu jumped into the air and thrust his palm at his opponent. A beam of white and pale blue exploded from his hand, blasting its way down at Prime.

Prime's fist intercepted each attack, his muscles bulging insanely as he beat them aside through pure brunt and willpower. He followed the last one up to Yoshimitsu, and, laughing crazily, grabbed the man by the face, and hurled him across the room.
Still chuckling, with blood pounding through his head, he picked up he sword, and Tranced with it again, coming down off his raging adrenaline high.
He let out a long sigh, relaxing his tired, spent muscles. The blood cleared from his eyes, and he looked around as a man instead of a feral berserker again.
"Right," he said. His blade thinned out and lengthened, the secondary one vanishing, and most of his armor disappearing. There was a sharp crack of light, and then utter darkness.
In the lightless room, Prime launched nine attacks that Yoshimitsu could not see.

~*~*~
Yoshimitsu found himself in a grassy clearing. Beneath him was lush, green grass with dew still moistening it; around him were trees. The trees were rich, alive, vibrant. Fruits hung from the trees and glistened in the early morning light, beads of dew sliding down their ripe skins. This was unusual. Yoshimitsu never felt at peace, normally, but this environment was calming him down. It was magnificent. Glorious.
Then his memory flashed back to him. The last thing he remembered was Alex. Alex and a glowing hand, thrusting straight though his skin and into his heart. It had not hurt. It just felt unnatural. Yoshimitsu ran his hand over his chest, checking for a wound. Nothing. No sign of damage. He was completely fine. Great, in fact. He felt like he could have run around the world twice.
"And, of course, this is your first time," a voice said.
Instantly, Yoshimitsu was on his guard. His eyes snapped to the source of the sound. A man, with black hair and stubble, was walking toward him.
~*~*~
"You've surrounded me in darkness," Yoshimitsu stated calmly. "Did you not see what my last attack was?"
He felt a fist connect with his jaw. Then a foot with his stomach. An elbow to his temple. These attacks were nothing. That was not to say he did not take damage. He just didn't care. When the foot came swinging at him, Yoshimitsu's hand shot out and grabbed it.
"Caught you."
Charging his hands with that same white and pale blue power, Yoshimitsu spun Prime round and threw him. He thrust his palms out at the warrior, sending a massive beam of white following him rapidly.

Prime sighed, batting the light aside with the back of his sword, landing lightly on the wall. He rolled back to his feet over the ground, and slammed his sword into the stone. He grinned at Yoshimitsu. "Boom."
A massive spike of energy burst from between the man's feet, chasing his into the air and attempting to impale him into the ceiling above.
Prime withdrew his sword from the ground, and shot forward, getting in close proximity to Yoshimitsu.
"Enough play, now you'll understand what it means to fight the Lord of Blades."
The power of his blows in close range was shattering, Prime moved with a speed, grace, and skill in combat that surpassed the understanding of both men and Gods. Like Jacob before him, Prime was a prodigy of his style of combat, and would be beaten by no man or God in close-range swordplay.
Prime darted around Yoshimitsu's defences, each strike a parry that battered his blade aside, and struck at Yoshimitsu directly. Forcing him to move or rely on his magic to stay in place, Prime's sword was almost in constant contact with Yoshimitsu's, controlling it, pushing it aside and away as he struck at the man directly.

Yoshimitsu smirked. With this power, the power of Light, he knew he still stood a chance. He waved his hand below him just in time, a shield appearing beneath him. It met the burst of energy evenly. Yoshimitsu was still thrown into the air, but he still managed to ward off the attack.
Then Prime attacked.
Yoshimitsu fought back, but found his blows parried rapidly. When Prime attacked, Yoshimitsu put up his best defense. White engulfed his weapon and, even with his full power thrown behind his weapon, Yoshimitsu found himself losing. As his last-ditch attempt against the assault, the white flames surrounding Yoshimitsu's blade expanded and blasted out a beam at Prime's face. Using his momentarily gained advantage, Yoshimitsu jumped out of harm's way.

Prime moved his head aside, the attack grazing his shoulder, and darted forward again as soon as his feet hit the ground. Yoshimitsu had barely had time to touch down before Prime was on him again, a storm of steel engulfing the man. He didn't even bother charging the sword with its spirit-type attack - he had no need of it, all he needed was his speed and a blade in his hand.
His attacks slowly grew in magnitude, pushing Yoshimitsu back at an increased pace, parrying with his attacks, not aiming for any vitals, but just to open nicks and start to bleed Yoshimitsu out. Until he was too tired and anemic to continue fighting any longer.

Yoshimitsu felt Prime rush toward him, even as he fell through the air. Prime's speed was incredible. However, Yoshimitsu knew just how to counter it. Once the first strike opened another spiritual wound on his arm, Yoshimitsu saw the speed behind the attacks.
"I can see..!"
Yoshimitsu felt his body move on reflex. The attacks, fast though they were, were finally visible. Yoshimitsu moved quickly, the swipes from Prime's sword missing him by nearly nothing. The blue-haired teenager's body was fluid, moving rapidly as he weaved around Prime's blade.
"I can see you!"
Yoshimitsu raised his blade, Prime overwhelming the defense. Even though he was brought to his knees, even though Prime's sword was raised above him and ready to strike, Yoshimitsu knew what to do.
"I can see you!" he snapped.
The air between them exploded, white and red flames bleeding together in a powerful blast.

There was the dark hum of a cut, and suddenly Prime was standing in front of Yoshimitsu. He grabbed him by the throat.
"Whether or not you can see, won't help you."
The conflagration of fire and light behind him was suddenly shown to be split by a slim line of darkness.
"My speed isn't the issue." Prime said, "Zebedee can teleport, do you think he's concerned with how fast I am?"
Prime shook his head, "No, the problem here is how I use this sword. It doesn't matter what you do, or where you are, this sword will find you. That's why everyone avoids close combat with me at all costs." Prime let go of Yoshimitsu, and fingered his clothing.
"You're going to need a seamstress who likes puzzles," Prime said, grinning at Yoshimitsu's clothing.

"Fuck, you're good, Prime," Yoshimitsu admitted. "You're fast, you're strong. Downside? I know that sword by now. It cuts my life, not my body. It's dark based, so it's got nothing on my light. And finally? You're pulling out all the stops to catch up with me. Let's see just how fast that body of yours can go."
Yoshimitsu vanished. Nothing left. Not even a blur. Suddenly, a blast of white and blue shot at Prime from the ceiling. A wind picked up. A second blast. And a third. A fourth. The wind intensified, catching the blasts as they travelled. A hurricane, intense in its power and fuelled by the power of Light. Yoshimitsu blasted around the room, invisible as he ran along the floor, the walls, the ceilings, blasting out the Light. A maelstrom of Light and wind, with Prime the target of it all.
