As Jeffrey hit the floor, suddenly he vanished, although heavy coughing could be heard from where he was.
Less than a minute later, the coughing stopped, and seconds later, he re-appeared. He looked around and said, "now this... This is certainly interesting."
He walked forward a little bit and then froze, vanishing moments later. Once he reappeared again, he was looking around somewhat frantically with his rifle drawn. He turned to the others and said, "Look, I don't know about the rest of you, but I hear faint...scraping. And it's everywhere."
He turned to face Prime and said, "So... You seem to know about this place. Just WHAT exactly and how much of it do we have to kill here?"
Just as he finished saying that, a high pitched screech was heard.
He turned around, looked around, turned around again, and said, "Look. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I hear faint...scraping. And," he paused for a moment, looking around, "everywhere."

Unannounced teleports. Ender used to do that occasionally. It had saved her ass several times.
That was all she could think of when the scenery instantly changed. She could feel herself falling, but it didn't bother her. Muscle memory kicked in, and she bent her legs slightly. As soon as she hit the ground, she collapsed to one knee, the impact of her denser than normal body cracking the aged tile ever so slightly.
Before she even tried to stand up again, Rie pulled her rifle out and started a scanning pattern. Her bio-engineered eyes had already adjusted to the change in light well enough.
"Clear."

Chris slowly managed his way onto his feet, stumbling when he tried to look around. He had fallen on his face and tasted iron on his lips, in his mouth. Chris raised a hand to his nose and found it to be bleeding heavily.
Shit. Damn thing’s probably broken.
Chris pinched the base of his nose and blew out the blood within which landed on the floor of the hall with a heavy slap. He wiped the remainder off on his sleeve and tilted his head forward while he looked at the rest of the group.
Looks like I got it the worst out of all of us. Hell, that girl isn’t even dusty.
“Ay thweetie. ‘Ow did doo not get wuffed up lok da wet of uth?”
Well, now that certainly sounded better in here. Guess I’ll keep quiet until this little nosebleed settles down a bit.

"Damn, I hope whatever it is that I'm hearing isn't attracted to blood..."
He turned to Chris and said, "Hey, you gonna be alright, man?"

Prime scanned the room again, almost mirroring Rie. He ignored the bitching of the others, and put a single hand on his belt. There was a scratching sound, like metal against metal. And vibration, he could feel it through his feet, hear it through the walls. The very air was set trembling with a hum low enough to see.
A louder screeching from one of the hallways alerted Prime to a presence, his head snapping around to locate the source of the noise. Another screech, like metal on unoiled metal, emerged from the hallway. And slowly, from its depths, a machine with a molten heart in its chest emerged. It was essentially a skeleton, with heavy armored plates. Each plate had a greek letter engraved on it, in burning red.
Slowly, ten of them emerged, and lined themselves against the intruders. Each held a red hot, molten sword. And on its other arm, a just as hot shield. Prime tensed, the machines charged. A burst of light greeted the activation of Prime's plasma sword, and he took one of the machine blade to blade, and was surprised to see he couldn't cut through what should have been a soft sword.
He flew into a swift series of patterns, knocking the things blade aside, and pounding it, body and shield alike, but his blade made nery a mark on it. Two more closed on him, and he eye'd them cautiously, wondering at their secret. Vaguely at the back of his mind, he noticed that one of the glyphs on the machine he'd just engauged has gone out.
EDIT - Authors note - These machines have a specific manner of destruction, and are otherwise totally indestructable.

"Dah, I'm fine. I duth need..."
Chris stopped his speech as a group of metal monsters entered the hall and the biker started swinging a glowstick at them. As he struggled to keep up with the man's movements, the edges of Chris's vision started to blur and go black.
"Oh 'ay. Ah dink do guyth...'elp...uhhh......f*ck."
With that, Chris collapsed on the floor in a heap.

He turned his head to where the thud came from, and muttered, "Aww, shit... We already lost one guy, and that guy's universal cutter won't freaking do anything to those things... Well... Let's see how those fiery cores like death and poison injected into their cores"
He started running and mid-run went invisible again. About half a minute later, a shot was heard, and momentarily, a trail of light-consuming darkness trailed going to the fiery core of one of the machines surrounding Prime lingered.
OOC: Prime, you said that they are indestructible and can only be affected in a specific way. Since I can't find you on IM, I'll just let you fill in what happens.

If Rie had noticed that one of the newcomers had fallen unconscious, she didn't show it. Instead, she simply observed for a few moments. Seemingly indestructible, as evidenced by Prime bouncing off of them harmlessly. The cores didn't seem to be a weakness; the still-awake newcomer's attack seemed to point that out.
Suddenly, Rie noticed that one of the machine's letters had gone out. Maybe... She whipped out her rifle and took aim at the plate and fired. The bullet struck the plate and harmlessly ricocheted off. Nothing.
This was getting tedious. Rie took a grenade out and tossed it at one of the machines.

Jeffrey watched as his bullet formed from darkness, dissipated inside the fiery core of one of the machines, and then noticed how pretty boy's woman pulling out a grenade that she was gonna throw at the machines.
"Ooh, I like that idea. Although... I don't think that a simple frag is going to be enough..."
He put his sniper rifle back on his back and held his hands out. Covering his hands, came a cloud of sorts. His right, with a somewhat transparent, black mist with dark bolts of electricity running around it. In his left, the mist was reddish-orange, and looked almost as if it was trying to be a liquid. After about a second, the mists faded away and he held two grenades of his own.
"Now, THESE are grenades!" He yelled towards Rie.
Knowing how Prime is not likely to survive an explosion, he eyed the two machines that were walking towards Chris' limp body. He pulled the pin of the grenade in his left hand, and tossed it at the two machines. That grenade, hit the floor, bounced off of it, and while in mid-air, exploded, covering the two machines and the floor nearby with a burning, liquidy substance. Watching that, he pulled the pin of the other grenade, and threw it at a steeper angle. By the time the grenade got to the two machines, it exploded, creating an electromagnetic blast and a dark cloud of smoke.

Prime ground his teeth as he parryed another vicious blow, these machines were tenacious, and every blow was as strong as the last. They would easily wear him down, if they couldn't discover their secret.
A two handed blow sent Prime crashing into the side of a doorway, and he ducked into the room to avoid a coup de grace to his face. He examined the room quickly, taking not of his surroundings, then refocused on his foe.
"There's a library over here! If anyone cares!" Prime yelled, dodging another blow, and using the sole of his boot to unbalance the mechanoid. "Looks like everything is in latin! I only understand the Omega symbol and the Alpha symbol though!"
He ducked around a second opponent, and layed a heavy handed blow into its back. They might be indestructible, Prime thought savagely, but they still had to deal with gravity. He smiled as it crashed heavily to the ground.
He flinched as the EM Grenade went off, covering his eye's as the smoke blew past him.
"Careful with those things!" Prime shouted, "This isn't a bloody fireworks convention, I can't fight when I can't see!" Prime growled, waving at the smoke. Thankfully the bloody things let off a red glow that he could still see through the smoke.
