"Good sir, these supplies, are they to be brought to Luna?" a lavishly dressed individual queried.
"Yep. Got the job of helping out them unfortunate folks rebuild the place. Earth's shipyards are gonna be set back for quite a while," the cargo ship's pilot drawled.
"May I buy passage, then?"
"Ya sure ya wanna go over there? The place's a wreck."
"Surely, another helping hand would not hurt."
* * *
The cargo ship slowly descended into one of the functional docks. As they descended, the wreck of a Martian heavy transport smashed into the main dock was clearly visible through the vid screens.
"My my, what work you have done..." Artifex muttered.
"Wha's that?" the pilot asked.
"Twas but nothing."
"Huh. Coulda sworn you sounded impressed by the destruction them damn Martians caused."
"Perhaps I was." With that, Artifex stabbed the pilot in the back with his enchanted sword, absorbing the soul into one of his many gems. Fortunately, he had waited for the ship to be fully docked and landed before killing the pilot.
"Madame, I do hope your word is true," he muttered to no one in particular as he took out a golden paintbrush. He dipped it into the dead man's wound, taking the blood, so he could start drawing the various symbols on the ship's floors and walls. After five minutes of painting many illegible words in a long dead language, Artifex brought out his staff and gripped it firmly.
Suscitatio cado miles militis he said, his voice entering nearby persons' minds, ears, and souls. His staff, carved in the likeness of a skeleton's hand, began to glow, and five of the largest gems on his belt followed suit.
Tribuo mihi aquila os. His eyes glowed blue, and in his mind, he saw the events that he had just triggered. Bodies of fallen soldiers, both of the Earth Forces and Martian Military, were being animated. The Martian transport, especially, began to rumble with activity. He saw the screams of terror as dockworkers tried to run away from or kill the zombies.
Artifex smiled. He had almost perfected the art of awakening the dead. His creatures weren't slow, rotting corpses. They were as fast or faster than a normal human, more resilient due to not feeling pain, and twice as hungry. Of course decapitation would destroy them, but decapitation would destroy everything.
The screams were soon audible outside the ship, as well as the gunfire. However, for every zombie that was shot down, three more took its place, pouncing on living beings to eat their souls and to draft them into the undead army. Artifex calmly cycled down the hatch to watch his army quickly take over the entire dock.
"My creatures, we march to the Lunar capital!" He knew the zombies couldn't understand him, but he liked the feeling of commanding an army. Wordlessly, the gigantic swarm of undead poured out of the dock and into the corridors, making their way to the main biodome, mercilessly killing everyone that got in their way.

Shant was sitting at the local bar drinking a jello shot. it went down quickly and had a good taste. " hmm lemon", he said to himself. he had enough to drink for the night and left his payment. On the way out the door he picked up his coffin and bag. the streets were oddly deserted except for the beggars who asked for more money. He began to walk toward the residential district.
Shant never liked space, too many "freaks" to deal with. his room wasn't that far away, but then he sensed something was happening. It was odd like some one had just stabbed him in the back. he fell to his knees and began to vomit, he had never felt this much a power. He recovered his composure and began to walk towards his room once more. something in his mind stopped him, he didn't know what.
He decided to listen to these feeling and began to run towards whatever the force was.

A blue haired girl too sat in the bar, in a dark corner away from everyone else, she was shy as always, avoiding talking to people when she could, if they didn’t acknowledge her at all it was a lot better. Most of her face and body was hidden as she held her halberd in one hand as she lifted the cup of whatever she had reluctantly ordered to her mouth. It tasted bitter, so she spat it out and stood, leaving quickly out of the automatically sliding doors.
Alexia sensed something wrong was immediately, or maybe people just had a habit of running around screaming, while being chased by decomposing things. The latter was probably wrong, she guessed that when one had ran up to her and took a swing at her, a very fast swing at that, humans were not that fast. She had ducked that one, and jumped away when the second came, barely missing her chest, close call. Alexia spun her halberd round, smashing the butt end of the staff into the gut of the zombie, sending it reeling back a little, not from pain, but from force. She span her halberd again, spinning it round the correct way connecting with the zombie’s neck, a very tough neck, her weapon only went half through.
“Well that’s disgusting,” Alexia moaned as she ran, a zombie with its head hanging off, only held on from a bit of decomposing flesh, nice.

OOC: remember, Aurora, comma splices. >.>
BIC: As soon as the media learned about a zombie outbreak on Luna, they were all over it like a pack of dogs, transmitting the news all over the solar system. Some anchors questioned whether it was the next phase of the Martian attack, and some explained the graveness of the situation since Mars not only had clones, but also undead creatures.
John hadn't paid the idle speculation any attention when he first saw the footage. Immediately, he knew Artifex was behind the plot. Since he was born of the Geninfor's magic, he had a certain knack in knowing what it looked like. Of course, he wasn't always right, otherwise he would've found the mage a long time ago. An hour ago he had boarded an automated space bus to Luna.
Space buses only launched once a day, and they tended to be fairly expensive, but assassinations tended to pay well, so John didn't mind. The bus was empty when he stepped on because no one wanted to go to a zombie infested bio dome. Everyone except him at least. It only took an hour to get to Luna.
As the doors of the bus opened inside the main spacedock, several zombies decided to greet the Morte. John immediately took a sawed-off shotgun from out of his coat and blew off the first one's head. He pumped the gun and took out a second one's neck and upper chest. He didn't have time to pump it again before the third was too close, so he simply used it as a club to hit the zombie on the side of the head. As it stumbled to the side, he pumped the gun and shot it in the head.
Once finished with the welcome crew, the Morte ran through the infested hangar, stopping briefly only when a zombie was within attacking range, reloading on the go. He made his way down the corridor, doing the same as he did in the hangar. Killing was second nature to him, so he had plenty of time to think. He remembered back to the news report and how it said the zombies were making their way to the main city, though Lunar military was barely keeping them at bay.
He ran past the bar and pointed his shotgun at a zombie and pulled the trigger, paying very little attention to the fact that a woman was standing near the shot's path.

*boom* *boom* *boom*
Shots rang out in front of him; he began to run faster toward the noise. He quickly saw a horde of zombies ravaging around the bar where he once was. He knew zombies were trouble and began to initiate M.A.R.C. The coffin began to vibrate with erratic movement of the robot being possessed by his and his brother’s spirits. Then it pushed its self out of the coffin and began to fire its pulse cannon at the zombies. Shant picked up the coffin and began to nail the zombies in their heads.

OOC: Sorry took so long.
BIC:
Alexia jumped into the wall launching off it and spinning around her pure black halberd slashing downwards, it connected with one of the zombies necks cutting it clean off. A small army were running fast down the corridor towards her and she acted just as fast.
She slammed her halberd into the ground a massive ring of fire circling around her reaching to the ceiling, the zombies were hesitating they wouldn’t want to run through that to get to her. Alexia closed her eyes for a second morphing her lance into a spear and she swung it round plunging it into the ground, she sat crossed legged and began to mutter a strange language. Alexia only hoped this would not hit too many civilians, people who were innocent.
Her spear began to glow red and then white as it began to heat up, Alexia stood her concentration never breaking.
“Undead demons be gone!” She bellowed in a voice that was unlike hers, her spear exploded outwards with power the circle of fire disappearing only to be replaced with a tidal wave of flame that shot down the corridor maiming and stopping them long enough for anyone who was resisting them to decapitate them.
Alexia grabbed her spear, it instantly returning to halberd form and she slashed outwards taking the few zombies that had not run out before she began to head back to the main area of the complex.

BIC: John watched the two kill their respective zombies. He saw that they weren't being mowed down like most of the others in the area, and thus he decided to ask for them to assist him.
"You two," he said with a dry monotone. "Follow me if you want to stop this mess."
John quickly reloaded his sawed-off shotgun and abruptly made his way to the corridor leading towards the main bio dome. The blast doors were shut, containing quite a number of zombies in the hallway. Without a moment's hesitation and without taking note of the moans and the rotting hands smearing blood on the doors' windows, John pried open the door panel, cut two wires, and crossed them. A klaxxon sounded as the blast door opened up, letting out the undead rush.
The Morte didn't have enough time to bring up his gun to shoot the first one, so he simply grabbed it by the neck and through it against the wall. He quickly released his grip and smashed the zombie's head into a bloody mess. His other hand was brining up the gun to shoot a second zombie in the chest. The shot pushed the creature back, but the thing was otherwise unphased. John twirled the gun around his finger, the centripetal force working the pump, and shot the zombie in the face.
Another undead leapt at John, clawing at his arm and ripping his sleeve. The Morte's semi-rotten gray skin showed under the torn clothing, several glistening cuts also visible. He barely grunted, and his few facial distortions were hidden by the cloth covering his face. In one smooth motion, he took the battle axe from his back and cleaved the zombie in half. He kept the momentum going, twirling the axe around his body and through another zombie's waist.

Shant heard a voice among the groans and moans around him. “hey Marcus did you hear something, because I think I heard a voice." the automaton turned around quickly to his brother command. “Yeah it’s about 2.5 meter away” he said softly. A zombie quickly pounced him from behind and began to gnash away the armor plating. Shant ran towards his friend viciously slamming zombies out of his way. “Damm zombies only thing they’re good for is fertilizer”, as he began to decapitate the zombie attacking his friend. “Thanks” said Marcus tiredly.
Shant began to look around toward the origin of the voice, “hey, marc give me a boost so I can find the guy” he says climbing up the armor towards the shoulders. After reaching the top of the five foot metalloid he asks Marcus to head toward the blast door and the flying pieces of zombie. When the two got there they saw a man surrounded by body parts and heads. “I guess you’re the guy yelling to meet here, nice to meet you names shant and this is my brother Marcus at your service.”

"John," the Morte grunted in reply without turning around. He pulled back a hand and struck a leaping zombie in the face with an open palm, then grabbed it by the eye holes and dropped its head into the ground.
He couldn't help but think of Artifex and what was going on. What was the mage doing on Luna anyway? Sol's most important shipyard was here, but why would that matter any to a man who dealt with magic? It was all very confusing.

OOC: John has a cloth covering his nose and mouth and red sunglasses. BIC: "I know the man behind this magic, but I don't understand what he's doing here of all places," John replied. The corridor was now covered in gore and zombie pieces, so the Morte held his battle axe over his shoulder. He quickly walked up to the door at the end; his walk was rigid, like a businessman late to a meeting. John opened the control panel to the door and overrode the safety like the previous door. Another siren sounded and red lights started flashing as the blast door opened up. There were no zombies to greet the group, but there was a collective moaning and groaning sound coming from further in the main dome.

The groans disturbed shannt a bit. These were diferant groans, they were groans of pain and bloodlust. " There something certainly wrong in this dome." he said quietly. " There something this guy isn't telling me, he know something." He turned towards the strange hooded figure and asked " Hey buddy, what do you know about this?"

BIC: John untied the cloth and showed Shant his graying skin and slightly rotten left cheek. "I am not alive. I know this kind of magic. It's the same kind that made me what I am now."
John placed the cloth back over his face and pushed his red glasses farther up his nose. "I plan on killing properly this time."
To end this useless life, John thought to himself. He started off at a light run towards the groans, knowing Artifex would be somewhere there in the chaos.

OOC: Okay, I just pumped up Thriller. NOW I AM READY FOR ZOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBBBIIIIIIEEEEEEESSS!
BIC: The moment that Miko heard of the situation on the moon, he had unleashed Dogolas, and climbed inside one of its ventral sacks. The summon has immediately rocketed towards the infected colony, clearing the space in a matter of less than an hour. It slowly hovered close to an airlock, its armored ventral sack opening just long enough for Miko to dive into the airlock and open the doors to enter the colony. Luckily for him, this one was virtually on top of the infestation, and Miko spotted the undead through a section of a building.
Drawing his crescent shaped Ulu, he smiled to himself. He might be old, and his Jade magic might not be as potent on the moon, but these undead were literally dead meat. He dismissed his summon, and charged. Swinging the ulu around behind him, he caught its handle with his other hand and used the momentum to whip it at a nearby building.
Spinning with deadly force and precision, the blade glanced handle first off of a building, and shot into a cluster of zombies, slicing through them like a saw through cardboard. It stuck in the forehead of a nearby zombie, Miko rushing to catch up to his weapon as the monster fell. A zombie snarled, lunging for him, only to be met with an incredibly hard punch to the forehead, shattering the braincase. Miko grinned slightly, looking down at his enchanted iron knuckles. Joseph had given them to him so long ago, and he had only recently souped them up with some Summoner weaponry enchantments. He pounced on the fallen zombie, grabbing the weapon from its forehead.
"And around we go!" Miko shouted as a group of about twenty zombies lurched towards him. He twirled the gigantic ulu in his left hand, slipping the knuckles off of his right. He'd need all of his dexterity for this one. Focusing his mind, he saw the opening. He lept at the nearest zombie, lopping off its head with a single stroke. The three that were surrounding it attempted to charge. Miko spun, reverse kicking the staggering corpse of the first into the ones behind it, and then spinning back into a slash that finished off the other two approaching. The rest of the zombies began to mumble and moan as they rushed his, but Miko simply smiled.
"All of you are no match for years of Summoner combat training. A rookie could handle this!" Miko elevated his ulu to shoulder level, braced it against his chest, and bullrushed straight through another set of zombies, all falling before his traditional blade. He turned on the group he had now flanked, and brought his blade to bear, lopping off the head of the nearest zombie. He jumped backwards, avoiding grasping hands, and catching his breath before the next assault.

"Come now, good sir, I would absolutely detest having to... perform certain actions," Artifex said mockingly to a quivering man. "I'm trying to be civil, to do this diplomatically. Now, all you need to do is sign on the dotted line to give control of Luna to Mars. It's not very difficult, and no one can blame you. After all, should you accept this peacefully, Mars will be offering quite a grand amount of cash to help rebuild the colony and to make it even better than before."
The man, the president of Luna, suddenly had a stroke of courage. He made his best attempt to scowl, despite the circumstances, and spat, "Your Martian money isn't good here. You'll have to take this rock by force."
"Such a shame," Artifex mumbled while drawing his sword. He stabbed the man before he could react and absorbed his soul into one of the many gems on the hilt. Artifex closed his eyes, then started nodding as if someone were talking to him. "My deepest apologies, m'lady, but I felt it would be easier dealing with Lunar Shipyards if the capital lay in waste."
He nodded again then bowed, even though nothing was in front of him, then promptly made his way out of the building. As he opened the large double doors to the outside, he saw something that frankly surprised him.
"How quaint," he said while watching his zombie hordes get decimated by a handful of people.
Redigo ut cineris Artifex bellowed in his magic casting voice while pointing his staff in the general direction of all the heroes. Orange wisps of energy congregated at the staff's skeletal hand, folding into a ball shape. A second later, the ball exploded as a cone of fire that would hit Miko, John, Shant, and all the subsequent zombies in between.
---
John turned his attention away from the zombies when he heard 'the voice.' As soon as he saw who it was, and heard what was being chanted, he made a mad sprint away from the attack's area of effect. The attack exploded and hurled towards the general area, and barely missed the Morte by a few feet. When John turned around, he saw that the entire area behind him was black, and all the zombies he ran passed weren't even visible anymore. For that matter, the buildings were left only half standing.

Shant saw it approaching, a ball of fire that looked to decimate him and that odd man. “This appears to be the end Marc, nice knowing working with you.” Said shant looking at his immanent death, Marc looked to his controller who was on his shoulders. “This does not compute sir, you must fulfill the prophesy and bring order to the clan.” The machine grabbed his controller and put him on the ground. “Get in the coffin sir” he said lightly grab the item quickly from the ground. Shant complied and entered the coffin wondering why he was in there. Marc lifted the coffin with relative ease and began to run with it over his head kicked the waist of the zombies in front of him. With every artificial muscle in him he threw it away from the immanent destruction. ****** Shant opened the coffin after the impact he received landing from Marc’s throw. He began to look around the deserted buildings for any signs of Marc. He looked behind the planted relic of his coffin to find a smoldering mess. He began to perceive that who ever fired that blast dint care about his undead minions. Then shant saw the thing he dreaded ever since he created Marc. There in the center of the fire damaged area was the exo-skeleton of his friend lying with its visual sensors closed. Shant lost all emotion, all feeling, all the things he love in life, all that was left was a hollow shell of a man. His hair lost its spikiness and covered his eyes. Shant picked up his weapon and walked towards the origin of the blast.

When the flames cleared, Miko was standing with his hand outstretched, a phantasmal pane between him and the source of the flame. He was slightly singed from the fire that had passed by him on the sides, and smoke rose from his now burning cape. Miko reached up, unclasped the cape, and extinguished the small flame with the heel of his boot. He then curled the cloth like a wet towel, side stepped, and brought it up. Bringing the cloth around throat of a zombie that had weathered the blast in his shelter, Miko pulled it taut, and then twisted, breaking the zombie's neck.
"A flat barrier. The most elementary spell I know, taught to me in my young childhood. Though simplistic in execution and function, more than adequate for its purpose." Miko discarded his scorched cape. "And I, a summoner, have no fear of what you may be capable of. I may be incapable of using my summons within this area, and my Jade Magic may be weakened, but I'm still one of the most elite warriors ever born." Miko readied his ulu, and stood, defiantly, awaiting Artifex's next attack.
OOC: Miko's barrier's stopped crazy attacks before (high explosives, blows from giant monsters, etc.), so I assumed it would work here.

Artifex glanced sideways and scowled. He muttered something before turning to the group.
"Unfortunately, my dear friends, I have little time to deal with you all. I bid thee farewell," Artifex smiled then raised his staff. Redivivus quod exsisto, navis. His face contorted into an expression of concentration, as this particular transmutation required a lot of power. All of the few dozen small gems that made up Artifex's clothing gave up the souls they were holding, and the energy released swirled into the staff.
Beside the biodome were the remains of a Martian Scarab, destroyed in the recent attack. Energy from Artifex's staff blasted towards the ship. The bits and pieces strewn around it moved back to their original positions, or made some mild effort to patch up holes. In less than a minute, a Scarab hovered beside the biodome, though it was scarred and burned, and almost half of it was just exposed infrastructure.
Artifex's new Scarab, manned again by its original crew (as undead), charged up its mandible and blasted the top of the biodome off, then positioned itself right above its resurrector, and right above city hall. The Geninfor, having a dead body, didn't need oxygen, so he calmly used his magic to hover through the whirling vortex of atmosphere and into his ship.
"Coward!" John shouted, but his voice was lost in the rushing sound of oxygen leaving the dome. He, being dead as well, didn't need the oxygen, so he bounded onto the top of a nearby building, ignoring the chaotic winds. He continued jumping up until he reached the roof of city hall. One last leap brought him to an oddly protruding bar on the bottom of the Scarab, which he took hold of, and using his momentum, he swung himself inside.
After a bit of running, John found a shut blast door. Judging from the lack of burns that he saw on this part of the ship while approaching, he surmised that it was relatively undamaged and might just be pressurized on the inside. He tried the door panel and was surprised to see the blast door open, but not surprised to get pushed back by the atmosphere coming out. He stepped in, and hoped the others had found their way to his position.
OOC: Wow, that might have been like one of the most confusing posts I've ever written... basically just make your way into the ship somehow... whether you join up with John again inside doesn't matter much...

"Please he-hrssssssssssssssssss
Under attack! Supernatu-click, krssssssssssssssssssssss"
The hell, Hex thought in confusion. He was getting a radio signal from Luna, which he was currently orbiting. He'd caught wind of a new piece if technology over here, but that was neither here nor there at the moment. Sounded like the lunar colony was under attack, and Hex wasn't wrong. With several explosions, a scarab slowly began it acent from the surface of the moon. Hex scowled, the ship was baring its guns on the city below. His show burst forwards like a shining star once more, his plasma cannon's firing two warning shots across the scarabs bow. He opened a channel to the scarab. This is the Anubis, pilot by Hex. You are targeting a none military installation, cease all military activities at once, or be destroyed. Assuming you've nothing better to do that be destroyed, I suggest you leave. Now.
Hex powered up his weapons until his ships aura turned azure, just to get his point across. He wouldn't allow any firing on the non-military installation below. He may be a criminal, but he wasn't a killer, and he wouldn't let anyone die through inaction either.

"My my, it appears that my main weapon is still recharging," Artifex mused. "So be it."
Artifex pressed the button to reply to the hail. "Mortal, I request that you refrain from impeding my plans. I simply wish to destroy the shipyards and be done."
The Geninfor, despite being in the bridge still, held his staff and pointed it towards the Anubis. Sive levitas[/i].
None of Artifex's stored souls released their energy into the gathering arcs of lightning, because it was only a warning shot. It was to be more flash than fire. Suddenly, the lightning was released forwards, conducting through the ship's hull and leaping out into space towards the Anubis.

Hex maneuvered out of the path of lightning almost instantly, and a quick burn of his engines brought him in much closer to the scarab. He was in range of the turrets, but the main gun could no longer fire at him. Hex opened a channel again. I'm afraid I cannot allow that, there is something contained in those shipyards that I desire. I can't have you blowing it up now, after I've come all this way. Hex said, a touch of sarcasm in his voice. He rolled his ship around 360 degree's, attempting to lock onto the scarabs bridge. Damn military men always made sure it was at least 500 meters away from where the shemadics said it was. He also took the liberty of locking onto two turrets and firing. It was only a warning, but the turrets were done for. Its not like a bloody Scarab could maneuver out of the way.

As the turrets exploded, what looked like bodies flew from the ship, vented out by the leaking atmosphere. As it turned out, they were actually zombies, some with maneuvering packs strapped to their backs. The ones that had the packs thrusted towards the Anubis and landed on its hull. The rest of the zombies went on in whatever path they were going, and if they happened to be going towards the attacking ship, all the better.
The zombies that landed on the Anubis' hull went trying to pry, bite, shred, scratch, and/or mangle their way into the ship, and since they were Artifex's zombies, one could be sure that they'd be able to rip holes even through reinforced metal, and especially through an organic armor.

OOC: Now, I'm not gonna post, as someone else should be at this point. However, I would like to gleefully make a point. That being, the entire ships skin is used as its form of propulsion. As such, considering the heat and electrical charge, anything making contact with said skin would turn to ash mate.
Now, I think we can safely say Aurora is out of the picture, however, we should give Lee and Kaz a good kick.
