Well, I was thinking toss them into a giant blender, and sell them to the soccer moms of America as healthy and all natural, but either way works.

Here's an idea: Make a general Anime RP forum and a Fantasy RP forum (to deal with non-anime related things, like Harry Potter). Making a forum based on a single anime isn't always a good idea, which I've discovered. It may have worked with the DBZ forum at the old pokeschool, but I don't think it'd work that well here.
And seriously organizing the RP Encylcopedia would be great; I'm still hoping to put all of my awesome information in there (sent you info on the Nintaku a while ago, Lee; still waiting to see that appear in there).
Speaking of which, isn't the point of the encyclopedia to help n00bs discover all the amazing creatures, people, and places that we've made?

About the Encyclopedia: I've handed over the privilege to Ch00bs, though I did forget to forward those PMs. I'll dig through my Inbox and see what I can do.
It would be nice if they would read the reccommended reading, but newbs rarely peruse the in depth sections. They look at (maybe) a formal rules list, any major lists (power levels/alliances) and some bios, at best. It's unfortunate, but usually it takes people until around a half a year or so to really come to fully appreciate the ORP resources we've got.
And there's no need to just go and put those two forums up, as we already have that in a sense with stand alone. Though actually, a valid idea would be using stand alone to gauge response to each setting, and then working from there...
As said, these are just basically going to be drawpoints for new blood, which we can go into and get acquainted with them, and hopefully draw them into the larger community.
Another major suggestion, BTW, is more activity in forum games. That's another mindless, fun section that won't scare off any newcomers.

To be blunt, stand alone just doesn't feel right. I don't know why, but the atmosphere there just doesn't seem right. Thats one of the reasons I never make any topics there. It feels wrong somehow. Really, to test these idea's, we should just makes these boards, wait a little while, and see how they go. If they go, awesome, if not, nothing we can really do about it.
Now could you get on with dumping Tyr already? Its like a giant eye-sore to me. Its so dead grar.

I think creating a board for the separate RP stuff would probably catch more people's attention and therefore grab more hits but it really depends on what people are writing about in them would actually get people to post. The last time I properly took part in an RP some person decided to take over the whole thing and ruined it for everyone else and ignored half the people posting, let's try not to let that happen here.

So? We need to do something about this now that its on the table Lee, stop avoiding it. Wait, nevermind. Consider this a poke, I don't have the right to be making suggestions anyways. But you do get the point no doubt.

Okay... I'm with Lee on whatever happens next, because I'm curious to see what sort of people get drawn in over it. I'm also annoyed that no one is really interested in the pokemon RP "Against the Wind" that I'm trying to start up...

"What is that?... Really...? Ok Ill tell them..."
"Hey guys, guess what! The Pope has an Idea! No really, Im serious! Why dont you review his idea for a new style of RP, revise it, then make it another style of board? I know that sounds out there, but this Pope guy might be on to something. His new style would start everyone on the same level, dealing with the vet preknowledge problem, it tiers the character powers, it has appeal to many new players (who doesnt love a good character creation), it gives a sense of achievment, and it has unlimited versitility for enviornment! Doesnt that all sound great?! I dont know why no one saw this a few days ago, when he suggested it? Except Potato, nothing can get passed that guy. Well Im done, time to step off the soap box."
"Your welcome Mr. Pope."

Hmmm... Okay, I'll go and look over Popey's ideas in the proper topic and give my verdict on them.
As for Kara's RP, well, I don't really have anybody that fits a pure Anime PKMN setting. Isambard is too grave and realistic, and Thyra's ORP. My only other concept, a person who got their liscense revoked due to mistreating their party and now is doing public service to try and redeem themselves, just doesn't fit.

Personally, I like writing ability to judge how well a character does. Notice how I've almost never said, "And then Ender punched it in the face and it died, omglol," even though he very well could. With Pope's system, someone could say that above sentence, then back it up with, "my numbers are higher, therefore I win."
And although people start off with the same stats, people will accrue points over time, leaving newbs back in the dust, just like it already is.
Heh, random idea: make everyone's characters have mandatory weaknesses to something, that way they could die no matter how powerful they became.
Examples: -Kuro regenerated almost instantly, but strangle him and he's gone. -Ender used to be able to destroy the world at a thought, but now high mental exertion can kill him. -Higgledy Piggledy can end the world on a whim, but Rhometer can undo that, and HP is retarded (no offense or anything) -Zebedee can end the world on a whim, but chooses not to kill humans.

Well, I wouldn't mandate weaknesses, because some characters just don't work with it. But yeah, I recommend all characters maintain balance in ORP.
