A soldier dressed in a black uniform burst into the room before the meeting could begin. He sprinted around the table and to Aidens side. The man seemed frightened and slurred his whispered words. Aiden knodded lightly and let out a deep breath. An attack on the base was one thing but there was nothing of interest. The only things in the area anyone could want were his and Eddie's mechs and nothing was going to take the Jackel. Aiden adjusted his sleeveless jacket and looked over the group. They were more than able to take care of themselves, but the girl had yet to be taken care of in any manner.
"Seems we're under attack boys. Captain, take the girl and lock her in the holding cell on sublevel 4 and then mobilize the troops. Move all outlying units to the area of the attack and put the sentries on high alert. Make sure make is seem like we are focusing on the area of attack. Activate the Bugs in the hangers and sublevels and have them set to KoS for all unidentfied units. As for the rest of you, I suppose that you're free to stay here or we can always move the meeting to a more protected area. As for me, I'll be back soon. The Jackel and I are going to do some hunting." Aiden barked out his orders in a very matter-of-fact tone as he rose to his feet and the Captain took the girl into custody. "Oh and if you all decide to leave, KoS does mean Kill on Sight."
Aiden exited the confrence room and began down into the hanger with long, delebrate strides. His shoes flopped about with every step and made a low thumping sound as he went. Within moments he was climbing into his mech, strapping on a pair of black leather gloves as he asended the small retractible ladder on Jackels head. Once in the cockpit Aiden harnessed himself in tightly and strapped on a breathing mask and optical display goggles that would give him more of an insight into the systems of his mech. Aiden hit a few controls and the ship form of the Jackel stood up in a full mech form and began out of the hanger. It darted back around the far side of the building and drew both of its TS77 Pulse Mag pistols.
"Make a move...Come on. I just want to play." Aiden whispered into his mask to himself.
*****
The insides of all the buildings began to come to life with the scream of metal on metal. In the darkness, red lights began to flash on and soft clicking began to ring off the walls. Dozens of four legged bots wandered around each building. The forelegs were twice as long as and held up a two sectioned body. At the front of each Bug was a pair of long gattling cannons and from the middle of the body two wing like sheets popped up into the air. The Bugs patroled each building, waiting for their chance to destroy something, being as that was what they were designed to do. Anything that came within their range would be swarmed and more than likely come out worse for the wear.
OOC- Actually Blood is exactly right but with the new post I have to play.

Attack? Eddie's heart started thumping. He reached a trembling hand into his pocket and pulled out one of his "back up" joints. He took out a lighter, and putting the joint to his mouth, lit the jay and breathed deep. He breathed out the smoke and took one more long breath. He was slightly less jittery. Enough to climb up his rope ladder, pull it up, and flip the switch that closed the cockpit. With a hydraulic hiss, the front panel of his mech slid back into place.
Eddie typed in the activation code on a keyboard mounted in front of his chair. Three displays quickly came online. The two side displays were displaying various data while the main, frontal screen focused only on connecting to the ocular sensors. Within a few seconds, Eddie could see from his mech's eyes. The next to come online was the audio sensors, which fed to speakers on either side of the pilot. He began to hear the sounds of mechs and people scrambling about him.
The last to load was the AMS, the Allegorical Manipulation System. It allowed Eddie to directly move his mech as if it were an extension of himself. As soon as that came online, the four legged mech rose form its resting position, both weapons coming online, and slowly crawled to the hangar exit. As soon as he was outside, Mercury began turning its head from side to side, the sniper cannon following the head's direction, looking for the source of the attack. Eddie took another hit as he carefully eyed the surroundings on his view screen.
There was a glaring spot of red. Mercury's firing control system took over and locked onto it, magnifying what was there. Eddie took another hit due to what he saw. With his nerves calmed, he carefully aligned the sniper cannon and pulled the trigger, a bullet capable of creating craters flying from the oversized gun. Mercury shook from the cannon's recoil, though the quadruped legs easily took most of the force.

"Shit!" Hex yelled, spotting the muzzle flash from the sniper mecha's cannon. He brought the thrusters up to full power in less than a second, dodging to the side. The heavy bullet nicked the armor plate on his lower right leg, causing the Freedom to twist slightly as she took the blow. No major damage, Hex looked around, quickly taking stock of the situation. Soldiers were headed towards the blast site he'd fired at earlier, but two rogue mecha's were locked onto him now. "Right, no unshielded life in range." Hex muttered, switching on his re-enforced Primal Armor. With ludicrisly high Kojima generaton, so much so that the field was strongly visible, he doubted the total effectiveness anything either of those two mecha's had. The only downside was he wouldn't be able to sustain flight. But then, he had no intention of running away. He needed those parts.
"Lets do this thing then!" Hex activated both of his cannon 'wing' arrays, and locked them respectively onto each mecha. He fired all the cannons, and his laser rifle, all at once, aimed at both of them. He then deactivated the wing cannons, and brought his thrusters up into overboost, covering the distance between himself and the silver, more birdlike mecha in seconds. He brought his Moonlight laser blade online, its long violet length forming from nothing, and slashed from the right side at the mecha, forcing it to dodge either back, or to his left, at which point he'd fire off a rapid succession of laser fire from his rifle, and then boost back rapidly changing direction to avoid a lock from the sniper.

OOC- I haven't been posting because I've been so damn busy. I suppose I'll give you something short just to get you off my back. Don't say I've never done anything for you. lol.
BIC- Aiden slammed his controls forward and his thrusters roared to life. The Jackel shot upwards and narrowly avoided the blade of the incoming mech. Aiden brought the leg of his mech down on the arm of his enemy and fired off a pair of shots from his pistols directed at the shoulders of the mech.
"Eddie, I've got him! Get over here now!" Aiden called out over his remote comm system.
OOC- Short and shitty, but I care not.

OOC - Sweet, thanks MUCH DL, seriously. I was gonna save this for later, but you've presented an opportunity, and Choobeh feels less like posting than bulbs.
BIC - Hex was surprised by the agility of the silver mecha being piloted against him, and as a result, took the kick to the shoulder. Twisting the Freedom's frame around, he throttled up quickly, avoiding the laser blasts, but as a result plowed headlong into the canyon wall. Normally this would be a non-issue, as his mecha was armored and shielded. However, this time it proved more of a problem.
The whole rock face broke, sending Hex spiraling into a dark cavern, and the impact cracked the rock face in front of the silver mecha, sending several hundred tons of earth down from the top of the cliff, to seal Hex into his new tomb. Hex cursed, wondering how the hell he was going to get out of this situation, when his Mecha slammed into a metallic object with a loud 'CLANG,' scaring him half out of his skin.
Hex flipped his Kojima shielding off, and turned his mecha around, hitting its floodlights. What was in front of him.... Was almost beyond words. Red Freedom was to the left of a door, more than large enough to fit the mecha. However, it seemed as though it'd been jammed half open ages ago. Around it, extending far up, and to either side, was what appeared to be a hull made of a mixture of metal, and bone. The sight was incomparable to anything he'd ever seen.
He walked the Freedom to the doorway, and used the mecha's hydrolic arms to muscle it open enough to fit the Freedom. As he moved into the superstructure, it seemed to him to be a maze. In front of him lay a hall, and then a hexagonal room, almost every face with another mecha sized doorway. However, it became much less maze like when he noticed a very old, and very durable, map set into the wall.
It described three other similar levels, with countless others besides for 'crew' or merely man-sized beings. An outline of the superstructure itself surrounded the map, and suddenly Hex realized what he was in. A ship, an immense, alien ship. Hidden by Red Freedon, Hex grinned. He checked the map, and found what he thought was the bridge, and started out on his interesting new expedition.
Hex cut his thrusters as he came upon the room labeled as the bridge, at least he thought. It turned out to be a very large, domed, white room made of some sort of bone. The floor sunk in slightly from the edges to the center, and it had numerous odd, spindly seats, to support the arms and back of its host. Around the edges of the room were mecha's, though not at all like Hex'. They were more spindly, and seemed to be made out of bone, or another strange metal in some cases.
They were housed in their own arching alcoves, giving the rim of the room a sort of roman stadium appearance. Finally, his eye's were drawn to the very center, lowest part of the room. There, their was a large blue crystal, about 10 feet high, and maybe 4 feet thick at its center. It glowed faint blue, and somehow, conveyed a sense of longing. Hex looked at it hesitantly, then knelt his mecha, shut down all his systems, and cracked the cockpit open.
It was a long walk, down the gentle slope and to the center of the room. Made longer by the echoing emptiness, the only sound his footsteps as they echoed from the walls. With the slight, blue glow from the crystal, it was somehow eerie. But the crystal beckoned, sadly, and Hex was drawn onwards, despite his discomfort. The emptiness around him got under his skin, and set his mind reeling with nightmarish creatures, waiting out there, in the dark.
Finally, he reached the crystal, hovering over its flimsy, though elegant white pedestal. He took a half step closer, looking into the clear blue crystal. Cautiously, he reached forward, and laid his hand on the crystal. And then, he opened his eye's. A soft white illumination came all all over the ship, the bone at the top of each hallway illuminating like some odd florescent plant. A sudden hum spread through the ship, of long dead and unknown systems suddenly come to life.
Huge, incomprehensible lists of information scrolled through Hex' brain, flooding it with information. But, underlying all that, he sensed a gladness. A oneness, the feeling you have after being along for a long, long time, and then suddenly finding a friend. Hex didn't know quite whether to smile, or recoil in terror at what he'd just set into motion. But the presence, it wasn't hostile, or overbearing. So, gradually, he calmed, and started to comprehend some of the information going through his brain.
Slowly, he came to understand that this ship was severely damaged. Its memory cores had been almost totally destroyed, and the 'wraithbone' that made up the outer hull of the ship had been cracked and shattered in some places. In instances, it even rendered systems inoperative. Four out of five generators were online, the fifth being the most important and largest. However, he comprehended that the ship could still fly with that.
Weapons were basically gone, the power conduits damaged to an extreme. Low powered bursts could possibly be forced out, but any more than that would just cause more damage to the superstructure. He looked over the options available to him, the instructed the ships engines to power up, bringing the 4 reactors to full power. It would take a while for the ship to fully prepare for launch, the floor below Hex started to shake as the drives spun up. He imagined that some trembling would be detectable outside as well.
He shook his head, sighing. At his mental command, the entire outer layer of the ships wraithbone turned red, with the occasional black highlight. The Crystal in the center of the bridge room now glowed a bright, warm red. It asked him for a name, or that was what he perceived. "I think..." He whispered, "Heartwind Gale would be a fitting name." He said to the ship, then moved away from the crystal, and sat in one of the spindly seats, to wait. And get to know this ship while he was at it.

As the soldier moved to take hold of Lacianus, Berthold moved between him and the girl, standing up awkwardly from his seat. His lower lip trembling slightly, Berthold spoke.
"No. She's not going with you. Your boss might have something against the girl, and that's totally understandable. But this is a peaceful meeting." Berthold extended his hands to either side, so that it was clear he wasn't trying to fight.
"She's staying here until we actually talk things over. Hell or high water, she stays here. Afterwards, we'll both go willingly as prisoners, but right now... Right now, we're waiting for this disturbance to blow over. THEN we talk." Berthold was still shaking, but stood firm, staring the Captain in the eyes.

Eddie breathed deep. His firing control unit was made for sniping; as such, all the electronics were geared toward making a lock possible at as far a range as possible. This left it a weakness in response time. Up close, Eddie really had to work to track a fast moving target, and he had to keep the enemy in his sights long enough for the relatively slow computer to crunch numbers and send the data to his displays and weapons.
Mercury's spider-like legs quickly turned the mech to face the enemy. Eddie raised his high laser, which was specifically designed to pierce straight through Kojima shields. One one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand... Beep. Lock.
Eddie fired. A blue stream of energy arced out of the handheld gun, the sound of ionizing air reaching anyone who cared to listen.
Miss. Fortunately, the red mech, in it's evasive maneuvers, flew into the canyon face. Eddie, not willing to take to many chances, aimed both his weapons at the collapsed wall.

After he finished skimming the manuals, Hex started walking around the edges of the room. He examined the alcoves in which the various mechas were ensconced, looking over the detail and construction of each one. Until he reached one that caught his interest, as it obviously wasn't of the aliens design. In fact, it looked to be designed by human hands. He wagered he wasn't the only visitor on this ship then, but whoever else visited lacked the telepathic component to full activate the slumbering beast.
The mecha was totally white, possessing a humanoid shape with sharper, more predatory aspects crafted in. Its legs were all sharp edges, coming to points that hovered slightly above the ground. Its arms were slim, and human in proportion, but carrying multi-segmented hands that looked almost like talons. It's cockpit hung, amusingly, from its lower, lower torso. Looking at it logically, it made sense. Putting the cockpit there lowered the overall weight and size of the design. It was about twenty to twenty-five feet tall, all in all. It pulsed with white light along very specific lines of force.
Hex moved closer, examining. A small inscribing he could barely see up at the cockpit declared it a Jehuty type. He scratched his head, pondering something. Then shrugged, and started climbing up the side of the alcove. "Worth a shot." He muttered to himself, trying to find the panel that opened the cockpit. To his surprise, it dissolved at his touch, and reconstituted himself once he'd seated himself inside. There weren't any controls obvious to his eye's, besides two white orbs inset into the sides of the cockpit. They pulsed with the same energy that pulsed regularly around the exterior.
"Alright then." He said, putting his hands on them. He instantly perceived the exterior of the ship, its abilities, movement, and capacities. "Awesome!" He shouted, marveling at this machine that was almost like a part of himself. He piloted it slowly down the halls back to the hatch, asking the ships computer to notify him when the power up was complete.
The rubble around the area where Hex' mech had landed earlier exploded, revealing a much smaller white mecha that hovered slightly above the ground. Hex hit the communication panel, knowing they wouldn't know who he was at this point. "This is Hex, aboard the Aurafose." He announced, "I have no quarrel with you, however I would like to know why a red machine was catapulted into my home around half an hour ago." He almost smiled, before realizing the machine was also broadcasting image. He carefully kept his face neutral.

Aiden lightly tapped his controls to bring up a large set of displays. One of which was focused on the newly arrived mech and all the others displayed read-outs on the damage nearby and where his troops where stationed at the moment. Aiden switched on his comm system and chuckled so that the area rang with his laughter.
"Kid, I have to give you credit for getting this far but I must say that you're just a cocky little punk. If you mean us no harm I've got business to attend to. But think about something for me will ya? If you're acking for a fight, come back to the field down to the south alone in about two hours and we'll have a nice battle." Aiden chuckled again as he flipped off his comm system and began back into the main hanger.
*****
A few moments later Aiden appeared back in the conference room holding a fresh cup of coffee. The steam coming off the surface wafted into his face and darkened his eyes. Aiden took his old seat and took a long sip of the black, bitter liquid as he eyed his 'guests'. Aiden placed the cup on the table and clapped his hands together quickly and three privates appeared in the room with a large tray coffee and doughnuts which was placed in the center fo the table. Aiden made a sweeping motion as if to offer the spread to the gathers people as he picked up his cup once again and took another drink.
"Now that we have that situation pretty much under control, I have an offer to make you Berthold. In about an hour and a half our little visitor will be to the south and I promised him a bit of a rumble. I want you to fight him with your Java. If you win you are free to take the girl and leave...but if you lose, you and the girl must stay here and work for me. Just remember that if you don't take my offer I'm not going to let you leave anyways, so it's not much of a choice." Aiden smiled to the group as he took in more coffee.
OOC- Are you all happy now?

OOC - Lets not pause, I'm just waiting on Lee here. My character isn't looking for a fight, he was only after supplies in the first place. He'll putter around in his ship in my next post, while Lee gets the real action going. After which you may end up with a battered battleship hovering in the air, depending on what Lee wants to do.

"I don't see what you'll gain out of it," Berthold responded tentatively, dipping his doughnut in his coffee as he thought.
"I kinda know what he means," Lacianus said, her voice still somewhat shaky though she had lost the palor from when Berthold had carried her in, "If he disagrees, you'd get a mech and two pilots out of it. But-"
"If I go, and I lose, you lose. You'd still get at least Lacianus, but no promises on if I'd be able to survive losing," Berthold nibbled on his now soggy sweet, then disdainfully set it aside. He didn't have much of an appetite right now. "If I win, you lose. We leave, and you lose the resources we represent."
"So, you put yourself in a situation where you lose all of the time? What kind of plan is that?" Lacianus groggily remarked, leaning heavily on the table. She started to sink lower, evidently falling asleep, until Berthold slammed his fist into the table.
"JEEPERS!" Lacianus snapped awake, almost falling out of her seat.
"You sly dog. I should have known why they called your mech the Jackal," Berthold grinned slightly, an expression somewhere at the crossroads betwixt pain, exhaustion, and amusement. "You didn't pick winning scenarios for you. You picked losing scenarios for us."
"Huh?" Lacianus grunted, met with a sigh from Berthold.
"He's punishing us for our perceived crimes, and letting our mettle decide the penalties. If we refuse to this, we get stuck as we were before. If I lose, we get stuck as we were before. Both, I take it, are retaliation for what happened during the training excercise earlier. You'll get your revenge in our daily misery. And even if I do win, you succeed at punishing somebody, since I'll have to beat the snot out of the guy that buzzed your base to do it."
Finishing his statement, Berthold folded his hands in his lap and met Aiden's gaze.
"Sooo, I guess I'm about right with that, no? Anyways, since I'm onto you, I have two conditions before I'll accept it. One, Lacianus stays with me the whole time, thick or thin, until this mess is resolved. And two, if I win, you all will help me figure out what's going on with my former boss," Berthold smiled triumphantly. He knew that he didn't have much say in what really happened, here, but boldness might throw his adversaries off enough for him to benefit.

Hex laughed openly at the commanders suggestion of battle, though he quickly turned the comms off before he did so. He howled with laughter, his fists repeatedly impacting the console in front of him. "Oh, hell!" He yelled, brushing tears from his eye's. "Aaaah, if I'd wanted a fight, I wouldn't have declared an intention not to do so. Hell, why wait even that long?" He sighed, leaning back in his chair somewhat.
"Well, I suppose I should check on the start up process." Hex said, turning his mecha around, and heading back into the depths of the ship. Making his way back to the bridge, he found that the secondary generators had made their way to 25% power, though the main was thrashed. If they could all make it to 50%, he might be able to make orbit with the beast.
Or, at least, that's what the systems manuals told him. He checked over some secondary systems, and closed the exterior hatches temporarily. It was his sincere hope he wouldn't have to go back outside again, not unless someone literally came knocking on his door. Though he still had his sister to consider, it'd be better to wait until the ship was functional, and a measure less defenseless.

"Deal. But since your little girl there is still in hot water she will have her hands and wrists bound so that she can't assist you in combat. As for our other guest, you won't be helping him. It's Burts battle and no one elses. You'll get to stay here and wait for the outcome just as I will." Aiden smiled widely as he took the last drink of his coffee and poured himself another.
"You better get going Burt, you've only got an hour to get to the battlefield." Aiden laughed slightly.

"Agreed, I suppose. That's a reasonable enough request, considering the circumstances. I'd prefer if they were ordinary manacles, though, nothing too fancy. The electronics in Java are vintage seventies work, and the shielding on them isn't up to snuff with modern equipment," Berthold drummed on the table, glancing away from the commander.
"Why're you telling him that? It's giving him a weakness to exploit," Lacianus muttered, still lurching back and forth in her seat.
"There shouldn't be any exploitation of said weakness, RIGHT?" Berthold leaned forwards slightly, raising his gaze to meet Aiden. "I take it that you'll all be riding out in your mechs, right? Safest ride under the conditions we're facing. If any of you have any space to spare, I'd much prefer to ride, than to slog through that wasteland again."
"Ahem. I've got a pressing question, too, guys," Lacy said quietly, rubbing absentmindedly at her bruised cheek.
"Now, I can't help but wondering..." She looked straight at Aiden. "With that much coffee, don't you have to pee a lot?"

OOC: I need the group to get my butt out there, preferably by mecha. It'd be advisable for DL and Blood both to take their mechas, with each one tracking one of the combatant mecha for potshots in case they try to flee. Aiden downed the last of his cup in a swig, and paused for a moment to consider his options.
"Okay, here's how it goes, gentlemen. Burt, you ride out with Arnold in his mecha. I'll take the murderer with me. Eddie, if you want to come along, I'll give you a little something extra next check, but considering the circumstances, if you'd like to stay here, I understand. No need for you to come along if things go well, but-" He let his sentence hang, making sure that everybody got the implications. He certainly didn't trust any of the trio that he had dragged in that morning, or the man that had struck at his base earlier.
"Here's how it goes. Burt, you just fight as you were told. As promised, you can keep the girl with you. Arnold, you cover his opponent. If they try to flee or come for us, take them down. I'll be covering the Java. Eddie, if you are coming along, help us cover the battle. Everybody, you're dismissed," Aiden ignored Lacy's question diplomatically, and began heading for the hangars with her behind him.
"Keep going. My men will direct you to my mech." Aiden let one of the soldiers take her from the room, and then turned to face Eddie. "By covering the battle, I mean taking Arnold down if he tries anything foolish. Got it?"
While waiting for a response, Aiden drew a handgun from a concealed holster. He turned the safety off, and chambered a round.
"In case that girl tries anything on the flight out..." With that, Aiden left the room. -------- "I'm sorry about the whole thing with the jets there..."
"It's best that you don't even mention it," Aiden's hold on the controls tightened slightly.
"I didn't even try to do it."
"You don't accidentally do those maneuvers. Those were too fine tuned for anything short of an ace pilot."
"I mean that my controls locked up. It was like autopilot took over."
"That wasn't autopilot. If you're as good as the chatter said you were, you'd know that."
"I guess. I meant it was like autopilot totally took over."
"So, you mean you just instinctively killed my friend? That makes me feel so much better. Great to know that there was no forethought, you just did it like you were swatting a fly."
"No, no, no... I'm not very good with words. What I meant is that something took the controls away from me. I couldn't control it."
"A likely story. We'll double check the black box when we get back, but I'm almost positive that it read the inputs as being from the pilot in the cockpit," Aiden turned to check on the girl. She was curled up in the corner, still only half conscious. He couldn't be sure if she was faking it to make him let his guard down, but he had a gut feeling that it was for real. He turned back to the controls, and worked on landing the Jackal near Java Green. -------- "Arnold, is it? I never really got to talk with you around the barracks any. What brought you into working with the Obsidian Hearts?" Berthold tried to make conversation as the headed for the battlefield. Whatever happened, the pressure was on him. He had to win. If they were to lose, he'd be trapping Lacianus and himself even further. George didn't have people work dates for him. He made them do time, so he'd simply delay their sentence until after they were done with Aiden.
For Lacianus, for himself, for his father's legacy... He couldn't lose. This time, Java Green would be victorious.

"My father worked it in. Originally I was part of a unit known as 'The Hammers of Autumn'. It was one of the three special ops units under his command. One day our unit was sent out on a mission to defend a mountain pass from enemy forces, it was actually my first mission.
"When we arrived at the pass, we split up, myself and another sniper went farther up into the mountains. When we reached our position our group leader told me to head back to base. About half way down the mountain, my warning indicators lit up. Then as quickly as they had lit up, they turned back off, as well as the activity lights of the rest of my unit. When I arrived back at our base, my father told me that he'd spoken with a friend, and had me transfered here, at least until I'd become experienced enough to not 'Run away from a battle and stare death in the face.'"
As they reached the hanger, he looked up at Teucer. The mech didn't have any real scars from battle, but did have a few small dents in it's armor, as well as faded paint. The mech however, while not new, wasn't old either.
"You'll have to show me where it is that your mech is located, unless you intended to defy Aiden, of course."

"And abandon Lacianus? No way. I'd never just desert her like that. She's just a little girl, and leaving her to people that hate her so much... I'd be scum. That's all there is to it," Berthold began climbing into position after taking the lift to the cockpit.
"About your story, at least you did what your father wanted from you. Mine made me help him build Java Green, but before he was finished, I left for Asia. I figured I could make good money in the boom industrial economy, but I just couldn't find any opportunities. By the time I wanted to head home, my father had passed away and I was flat broke. George had taken my inheritance, and now I'm working to pay it off," While Berthold told his story, he punched in the coordinates for Arnold. He then stepped out of the way, stepping into the cargo space that was always tucked behind the pilot's seat.
"I hope that this guy isn't going to be too tough. Java is burly, but if the other two couldn't stop him, he might be too strong for me... That-" Berthold clenched his fists. "Java's not fast enough to dodge. If he really is so powerful, no ammount of skill will close the gap."

"Fine. I'll let you know though that my families motto is literally "Come back behind your shield, on it, or not at all." though." He said, then climbed into the cockpit.
"You'll want to brace yourself. I don't plan on walking while somebody attempts to take potshots at me."
He then donned his neurohelm which helped to transfer his thoughts into the machine, thus making it more of an extension of his body, as opposed to a hulking machine. A moment later Teucer was dashing out of the hanger and towards the coordinates that Berthold had put in.
A few minutes later, Tuecer stopped, right next to Java Green. "Don't lose this, remember I have a stake in this mission as well. "

Eddie had been rolling a new jay while the conference was going. The politics weren't really his concern. He pulled out a small canister looking thing, turned it once, then opened it. Pungent fumes wafted out of it. The pilot's hands didn't tremble when they picked up the ground up bud and placed them along the smoking paper. With practiced ease, he rolled up the jay, licked an edge, and sealed it shut. Eddie placed the jay in his ear for later use.
He followed the group to the hangar before speaking up. "Sorry, I think I'm out. I just got a text saying my new parts were delivered, and I don't really have much at stake here, so I'll be moseying on off. Just wire the money where you usually do."
Eddie waved as he walked off to his mech. The chest opened up at the press of a button. The rope ladder that was used earlier was in a heap on the ground, and Eddie didn't have any means of attaching it where needed, so he simply gathered it and started climbing his mech's legs. After a few moments of clambering, he managed to get into his chair.
"Adios," he said as the cockpit closed shut. The mech came online about a minute later, its four legs pushing its torso into the air. Mercury walked slowly out of the hangar before the lift jets activated, sending it high into the air.

OOC: DL seems to have started a trend. Though I must say, Choobehs exit is much more honourable. Anyways, I'll poke my head out of the ship when something blows up. Until then, I'm just waiting, cuz there's nothing for me to do besides tinker. Or actually take off, which I don't think Lee wants just yet.
