"I don't think he wants to share." Zebedee muttered to the others, and then walked towards the child. "Hey, tell you what. I'll give you one hundred dollars for that feather." He looked the child in the eye.
"NO!" The impetuous youngster turned on his heels, and went to walk away. "When I have this, I can do whatever I want! I can do anything! Why would I want money?"
"Please, this is important to-"
"I'm keeping it." The child turned and stuck out his tongue at Zebedee.
"Well, could I at least see it for a moment?" Zebedee said, and the child gave him an odd look. He paused, thinking, for about three seconds, before turning and walking back towards Zebedee.
"Yes. In fact-" The child smiled innocently. "You can feel it too!" With that, his face twisted into a sadistic sneer, and he balled his tiny fists. Zebedee, knowing what was coming, fell flat to the ground as a huge ray of searing energy shot overhead, passing by him and striking a four story building about two blocks away. The was a loud crack, and the building burst into flames.
As the child stared, Zebedee spun, attempting a vicious trip-kick. This child was a threat to everybody, pure and simple. They'd need to take him down hard, and fast. Zebedee bit his lip as the child flew skywards, totally evading his attack.
"Your friends can see it too." The child cackled, and then thrust his arms out before him. Huge bolts of energy lanced from him to the ground, like hellish lightning. Dirt and shrapnel showered those that had evaded the attack, though some had been dangerously close. The child continued pelting the group in energy while laughing maniacally, believing himself to be almost invulnerable.

<I would assume child like innocence is just a broken theory now.> Sly said as he ran between bolts of energy and docking under shrapnel. Most of it he was able to demolish with his tail-blade as it flew towards him. One bolt of energy managed to heave a large segment of concrete in the direction of a sidewalk café where several people had taken refuge. The Andalites body began to grow as his bones contorted, snapped, and reform. His body grew several stories as it morphed into a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Sly shifted his body weight and swung his tail in the direction of the concrete. There was a loud impact as the concrete was knocked away from the café and in the direction of the child.

Shant watched as the building began to collapse. " dammit Sly he's just a child." he said runing towards the child. his coffin began to weighing him down. Thinking quickly he threw it down and jumped on it making it slide swiftly across the barren waste land. He gained more and more speed as he drew closser to the child. Then as the building infrastructure began to hit the ground he grabbed the child off the ground and slid past the reckage to their safety.

"I concur." Zebedee said in a low tone, not really wanting to shout it. He didn't want to seem angry. He wasn't. Sly was a warrior, he did the neccessary. Zebedee was a holy man, or at least thought himself to be. He did what he thought God wanted him to do. "We should just try to knock him out." Zebedee began running towards where Shant had landed, bounding over the rubble.
He lunged over Shant's supine form, and kneed the child in the face with a loud crunch. Rolling to his feet, he wiped a small ammount of blood from his knee. He had hit the youth harder than intended. He looked towards the child, expecting the worst, only to see the child rise to his feet, none the worse except for a nasty broken nose. The child leered at him.
"THAT HURT!" He sent a wave of kinetic energy through the air with a wave of his hand, batting Zebedee to the ground like a cat swatting a mouse. He then spun towards Sly.
"I'm rubber and you're glue. Whatever you do bounces off of me, and sticks to you!" He slammed both of his small fists into the ground, and the remnants of a large building collapsed inwards on the street that they were on, rubble flying in all directions. A huge cloud of dust billowed up, smothering those in the area that were clear of the avalanche. A wind swept through the area, revealing the child flying once more, a maniacal red gleam in his eyes.

OOC: He, in retrospect, is shifting between Shant and Jason. Could we request that you choose one and stick with them, then we'll edit the finished version for consistancy. And we'll probably change whomever you pick's entrance to include defending Zeb since Aurora seemingly disappeared, and left a big gap there.

Emily stood there and watched the building fall. "Geesh, thats a tad bit overkill" she muttered to herself. When the child took flight he had been so close she had practically been able to see the color of his eyes. She hesitated a moment, then started winging her daggers at him.

The child attempted to bat away the daggers as best he could, a surge of crackling force accompanying each swat. Most of the daggers were deflected effortlessly, but one caught him in the shoulder. He paused, mumbled something, and then fell from the sky, landing lightly on one knee.
"You... you jerks!" The child shouted, before collapsing with a loud crunch. Zebedee stood behind him, having clubbed the youth in the back of the head with a brick clutched in his hand. He frowned a little bit, looked at the unconscious youth, and knelt down to take his pulse.
"He's alive. Though that was a nasty injury." Zebedee began to try to turn him over, only to be knocked off of his feet. What appeared to be a woman of some sort had seemingly emerged from thin air, clad in a light armor and bedecked with ivory spikes. A helmet, incongruously whitish silver to her armor's dark grey, hid her face.
"What's mine is mine." She picked up the youth, holding him at arm's length. "And this is definately mine. You'll regret this soon enough."
And with that, she disappeared again, this time with a flash of green light. A scrap of paper fluttered to the ground. Zebedee walked over, picked it up, and began reading aloud.
"Zebedee Taylor, enclosed is a map to my whereabouts. It's advised that you and your friends arrive with the most haste possible."
OOC: Crappy, but the Reader's Digest version. You can respond, I'll just pretty this up.

Shant picked up his soil covered coffin and began to strap it to his back. when he finished words began, " I think we should go after the kid and figure out why the silver chick wanted him so bad. It think it might be research on the on the affect of you feather Zeb. That thing looked like pretty enormous power in a small package. So in other words i think we should stop babbling and get a move on." He then waited for the caravan of people to start.

“Umm, yeah!” Emily said cheerfully. “Quite a nuisance eh?” She paused and glanced around. “Yeah he stole Zebedee’s pretty feather, then tried to kill us with it. Then he got knocked out and… umm… well kidnapped.” The girl looked very distressed, “But don’t worry! I’m sure” Emily paused for a moment to rethink what she had just said. “I think he’ll be alright. “Oh! By the way I’m Emily, that’s Zebedee,” she said gesturing to wards the longhaired man. “And he’s… Well he’s Sly,” She said looking up at the Tyrannosaurus Rex. “And that guys Shant,” Emily motioned to guy with the coffin.

"So, that was your brother?" Zebedee resisted making a comment about prescribing ritalin. "Quite the handful, definately."
<All the more reason for us to hurry.> Sly said, his bones crunching and blue fur sprouting from beneath his scales as he began to shrink back to his ordinary form. He turned one of his sprouting stalk eyes to Zebedee, and sent him a private thought-speak. <That girl smelled VERY familiar, though I can't quite place it. You know, difference in ability between morphs.> Zebedee nodded without saying a word.
"When Sly finishes, we'll head north, up this street. We've got to get through the rubble, but that's only a triffle. Then we've got a left turn up there... Then, where the river is bridged, we instead are supposed to take a boat instead, found at the foot of the bridge. Heading downstream, it'll lead us past a complex with a chain link fence. There's a small gap in the fence, and that will let us through to a compound. We go into the building on the far right, there." Zebedee detailed the plans, Sly commiting them to memory.
<I'm going to take my human form. Less attention grabbing.> Sly thought to the group, his tail and forelegs retracting. His clothes seemingly welled up from within his body, covering him as he completed the transformation. With that done, he began briskly walking towards the massive pile of rubble before the group.
"As for you," Zebedee said, turning towards the girl who had just arrived, "You can come along if you want. It'll be dangerous, but I'm sure we can get your brother back, no problem. Sly and I have been through all sorts of danger and have survived-" He began.
<You survived. I'm on my fourth life now.> Sly responded in private thoughtspeak. Zebedee cleared his throat.
"And anyways, these two are pretty tough, too. You can count on us." Zebedee offered his hand to the girl.
"So, are you with us? By the way, I didn't catch your name." Zebedee smiled slightly, meeting her gaze with a soothing look in his eyes.

“Yay!” Emily exclaimed. “Another teenage girl! This will be really cool, I’m so happy your coming!” Emily said cheerfully. “Trust me normally I’m not this exuberant, but I guess I am right now.” Emily tripped over some debris and fell on her face. She blushed as she stood up, then chuckled “oops, I’m a bit of a clutz.”

Shant look around at the party of people around him. "Geez this is turning out to be a regular Final fantasy. I wonder when the moogle will appear to give me items". He then turned towards the newest member and gave a light wave of his hand. His mind drifted off as he did this to a time when his brother was alive and well.
