OOC: What we have so far...
BIC: Some people would go anywhere to find their beloved. Such is the case of Hector, who after Kioshi's sudden disappearance set off with Vathale to Greece, which admittedly was very far away from Japan. Then again, Hector didn't have a very good sense of thinking.
"She's almost here, isn't she?" Hector sighed, looking back at a smiling Vathale, who was admiring the view from a now rarely-used Tiamat. The Mediterranean Sea was a beautiful, glimmering patch of azure upon the earth. "Love of my love... Pleiades Myukki Cruz..." His lustrous amber eyes shone beyond his purple tinted shades.
"It's not like you to actually think about something, much less in an affectionate way," Vathale remarked. She rested both hands on her unborn daughter and glanced at Hector. "Most of the time you're talking about sex or getting drunk or just being plain obnoxious. Keep acting like this and you might just turn out to be a good father." She thought about something for a second, and then her smile faded away. "Is this because of Kiki running off so suddenly...?"
"Perhaps. All I know is that I'm really starting to miss the guy. I guess I've been a total jerk to him..." Hector closed his eyes and sighed deeply, running his fingers through his long blue hair. For a moment, minuscule beads of crimson tears appeared below his eyelids, but he pushed his shades higher up his nose to prevent Vathale from noticing.
She grimaced, and glared at Hector sternly. "No one's arguing with you there." Then, Vathale softened her glance, and took hold of both of Hector's hands. "Everyone makes mistakes, Hector. It's all a matter of whether we want to learn from them or not..." Her deep, forest green eyes glistened with tears that she blinked away. "I can see that you truly want to." She leaned in closer, and Hector seemed to understand her words, for the first time. He interlaced his fingers with hers, closed his eyes, and kissed her.
"Vathale... I love you. I want to start over. My future..." Hector gazed into her eyes solemnly, blood pouring down his cheeks. "I want to build my future with you, dearest. I'll gladly give up my harlotry, my alcoholism, any of my bad habits, if only it would end my heartbreak." He was interrupted by Tiamat's sudden snorting, and both of them had to hold on tightly because the dragon was nosediving and headed for the shores of Greece.
--------------------------------
Micah strolled around the streets of Greece "What wonderful terrain they have here." He said with enthusiam and delight. He walked around and examined the stones which contained valuable chemical components "Maybe I will just take a few samples..." He said laughing and took a very small pebble, and placed it in a container, that was attached to his rather huge pants.
Micah turned only to see a giant dragon coming in from the distance, he popped open one of his jars, and prepared himself "This isn't good, especially if it is a dragon"
-----------------------------------
A woman, clad in garb similar to a classic toga, sat on the edge of a small rock wall. She had been following Micah recently, after a battle between them had resulted in a rather catastrophic loss. She flicked her glossy black hair out of her eyes, and brushed some pebbles from her hands.
At the tournament she had faced him in, Micah had crushed her like an insect. Manipulating elements was the perfect counter to her ability to generate stone columns. Prilla had always prided herself on her skill as a warrior, ever since she had been born with her peculiar talent. Having been manhandled by Micah had forced her to reevaluate her powers, her skills, and herself. Now, she trailed Micah in order to learn where she had failed.
The shores of Greece were beautiful, and the sand was fine and golden. Towering cliffs lined most of the far edges of the dunes. The sun was shining its brightest without a cloud in the sky to dim its light. Tiamat shook off some of the sand that had gathered in its claws upon landing, and lowered its head so that Vathale and Hector could walk down.
Hector jumped off of one of Tiamat's wings, and walked over to its head to help Vathale. She walked down Tiamat's long, scaly neck and tried to land on the ground without falling. Hector gallantly carried her down to firm ground, and gave her a warm hug. "Thanks, Hec," Vathale said, before leaning in close to him and grasping his hand tightly.
On their way along the shore, they met up with Micah and Prilla. "And who might you two be?" Hector hollered at them. "You from around here?"
"I am a local, you could say. Not local to this region, but I have grown around these lands for my entire life." Prilla walked up to Hector, and nodded certainly. "I know most of this territory pretty well. If you need a guide, I'll fill the role easily until you can find a really qualified one.
"May I have an introduction?"
"Yeah, sure. My name's Hector Cruz, and....errr...this beautiful woman here is Vathale, my girlfriend. You're a local? Think you might know about any specific Greek legends?"
Hector took out a small sheet of yellow parchment, which had a small painting of two metallic looking birds circling a mountaintop. He casually handed it to Prilla and said, "The Stymphalian Birds... Not even Hercules screwed with these two badasses. Any idea on where I can find these, or any idea where I can find anyone who knows about them?"

"There's a pair of siblings somewhere around here. Andreas and Spyridon, both avid tellers of ancient tale. I think that we'll be able to find them in the town's market area." Prilla gestured for the group to follow her, a dry breeze rustling through her hair. Prilla turned towards a busy street, full of the smell of fresh fruit and vegetables, and alive with the clatter of a town on the move.

Micah sighed and began to follow Prilla. He began to look around "Wow.... they have so many good materials, I just don't know what to do...." Micah popped open a flask, and began taking some more samples, different ones then the ones collected earlier.

Hector and Vathale followed Prilla down the streets of the town, when Hector suddenly noticed something familiar about the town."Wait a second... This is Kierra Liaithon! I thought I felt some deja vu!" He stopped by certain tables, examining the strange merchandise. They sold everything from fresh fruits to dragon organs to broken pieces of metal.
"Kierra Liaithon?" Vathale was slightly confused, not knowing every little place Hector had traveled to. She stopped walking, bent over slightly, and placed a hand on her stomach. "Hector, stop, I feel a little nauseous..."
"I thought you were past the morning sickness already. Sure it wasn't just something you ate?" Hector strode backwards and held Vathale tightly. "We'll stop and rest somewhere." Vathale struggled to stand up straight, but managed to, and pushed Hector away.
"I'm okay. I'm not nauseous anymore. Let's keep going." Vathale marched on through the streets, and was quickly joined by the rest of the group, until two voices brought their feet to a halt.
"Wife not feeling too well?"
"I think we have something that could help her."
Two young adults, about twenty years old judging by appearance, watched the group from a nearby store. It was a small store, built out of stone and decorated with all sorts of flowers. One of the voices came from a young woman, with short, gray hair with hints of white in it. She was a little on the short side, and skinny as a twig. Her face was thin and almost bird-like, and it was all too easy to mistake her eyes for marvelous sapphires. Something about her appearance hinted towards mystery and wonder. Her expression showed that she was a cheerful, fun person, but if you looked into her eyes, you could tell that there was years of wisdom hidden inside her soul. She was calling from the big, square window that was cut into the stone wall.
"You can come and rest your weary legs here, travelers!" The young man that was at the doorway had long, flowing blonde hair, and ruby red eyes. His face had the same structure as his sibling, but slightly more masculine. He didn't look as happy-go-lucky as his sister, however: His face was a lot more serious-looking, but deep within his eyes was also the same wisdom that his sister possessed. Both of them had smiles on their faces, and wore tan, silk robes that fluttered around in the calm breeze.

Prilla nodded quickly, gesturing towards the two avian looking shopkeeps. She gestured towards them. "And this is the two that I have previously mentioned." Prilla smiled, and warmly shook their hands. "How are you two today?" She said, noting the sharpness of their fingernails.

Micah looked up and seen that the group was leaving them. He stopped, and closed all his flasks, and jogged up to Prilla. "They sell metals around here?" He asked rhetorically. He then smiled as he noticed the man at the doorway "Hey, do you know where I can get some Radium, or even some of the rare metal Francium?"

"This region is rather spare in the way of scientific goods. If you're looking for something a tad more common, we probably could manage to find that. However, this is mostly a very simple community." Prilla said rapidly.

"Ahh..." Micah said closing the cork lid on his flask. "Well..." he said stretching "I guess I am just going to follow you around then, and hang out I guess." He stood closer to Prilla, and slight behind her "Well, where ever you go, I will help you.... well, unless I feel like leaving you for a while."

OOC: I hate Tifa so much BIC: "We might have some radium... We use it with other special ingredients to make a medicine for curing certain types of cancer." The silver-haired young woman led them inside. The walls were lined with stone shelves, which were filled with all sorts of glass bottles. Some were filled with multicolored smoke; others were filled with curiosities such as pink crystals or even toad hearts. "We're like the pharmacists of Kierra Liaithon. Tell us what ails you, and we'll more than likely have a cure for it." "Got anything for pregnancy pains?" Vathale grunted, stroking her belly gingerly. "You're probably getting close to labor. I think we still have something to ease the pain a little. Spyro, can you go check for anything that can cure pregnancy pains?" The woman asked. Then, she turned to Prilla, shaking her head but with a smile on her face. "My name's Andrea. Not Andreas. Honestly." "No, I'm pretty sure your name is Andreas. Blame our parents for that slip-up. So, what brings you travelers to Kierra Liaithon?" Spyridion asked, fetching the footstool from the closet on the far side of the room. He placed it in front of a shelf and stepped on it to reach the bottle on the top shelf.

"I dunno, I was just on the beach, met up with them... and now I am here.." Micah said confused. "To tell you the truth, I think I followed, because I recognized Prilla there. She and I duked it out once in a tournament. She was pretty good, but she didn't pull it off, though, I am waiting for her to get stronger in a rematch..." Micah laughed and patted Prilla's shoulder "Don't worry, it will happend someday." he said this with a hint of sarcasm.

"Believe me, Micah. That day is much closer than what you desire to believe." Prilla said quietly, and then ran her fingers through her hair. "I was just in the region. You know, looking around just to familiarize myself with the land. I also have heard a few legends from the region that seem to indicate something odd around here. Kierra Liathon has been called 'The City Where the Legends Rest' for a reason, I'm guessing." Prilla looked at the ceiling. "I heard they've got monsters around here."

Suddenly, an ear-splitting thunderbolt boomed throughout Kierra Liaithon, and not more than a second later, large raindrops began to fall by the bucketfuls, drenching everything outside.
"Yeah, and we also have storms. You know what else they call Kierra Liaithon? Flood fodder." Andreas closed the straw shutters that were inside slits on the window's border, and shut the door. The entire house/pharmacy remained lit due to the many bottles that were fixed to the ceiling. Inside were tiny floating orbs of white light, which didn't glow in the light but immediately illuminated darkness around them.
"Like it? It's not as expensive as electricity, and works even better. I can dim them or brighten them with a simple command." Spyridion jumped off of the footstool and handed the bottle over to Vathale, which was filled with a translucent yellowish-white liquid. "100% all-natural, and effective for relieving any pains related to pregnancy. When's it due, anyway?"
"It should be sometime around this month... She's actually a little late..." Vathale downed the liquid in three quick gulps, and handed the empty bottle back to Spyridion. The remedy had a pleasant, peachy taste to it, with hints of strawberry.
"Really? Well then... Good luck to you two." Andreas turned to Prilla and answered her question for real this time. "Yeah, they have monsters around here. I can name off so many. Tikeya-Shihen, Embodiment of the Deep Forests, Naura, the Midnight Wind... The area around the nation of Kierra Liaithon is home to a lot of legends..."
"Perhaps even the Stymphalian Birds you seek," added Andreas with a mischievous glint in her shimmering blue eyes. "Maybe we can help you look for them. The first place we suggest is Alitalis Forest, on the outskirts of Kierra Liaithon. Mayhaps their nest is there?"

"I suppose it's very possible that they'd nest in the forest around here somewhere." Prilla mused, and then looked around the room. "Vathale, I think you should stay here. You're pretty much handicapped by your advanced pregnancy, and we wouldn't want you getting hurt in battle, would we?"
"If we're heading out now, we'll need umbrellas."

"No! I'm going with you guys. Nothing's going to stop me..." Vathale tried to stand up straight and proudly and walk to the door, but a sudden cramp had her doubled over again. "Owww.... Cramp...."
"Vathale, you're definitely staying. I'd never live it down if anything were to happen to my future wife and my unborn daughter." Hector grabbed an umbrella from the nearby coat rack, and tossed two more to Prilla and Spyridion. "Andreas, can you stay with Vathale in case something happens to her?"
"Will do!" Andreas squealed, and carefully led Vathale up the stairs that were all the way in the back of the pharmacy. She snatched a couple of bottles of the remedy they had used earlier, and the two made their way to the second floor.
Spyridion threw open the doors of the store, and was buffeted by the fierce rains. "Careful. The thunderbolts deliver quite the shock." He opened the umbrella, walked under it, and sprinted through the soaked streets of Kierra Liaithon.

Prilla nodded, and made a mental note to herself to not use any pillars in this weather. Anything sticking into the air would probably draw a bolt of lightning, with how severe the storm had grown. She formed a flat disk of stone from her palm, and held it over her head as she dashed after the pharmacist. "So, what manner of creature inhabits the forests of this noble region? Pray tell, dear Spyridion.'
OOC: FINALLY got the dialogue down for Prilla.

Suddenly, the group looked up towards the top windows of the building to see Vathale sticking her head out of it. "Hector! Take this!" She tossed a tiny opaque black gem down at Hector, who promptly caught it in one hand. "It's Naura! Hope she'll be able to help you out!"
"I'm sure she will! Thanks, Vivi!" Hector hollered. "Hope you feel better when we get back!" Vathale smiled, and slowly and gingerly climbed back into bed. He held the gem between two fingers, and it started to let off a black glow. A giant, snakeline black dragon appeared in front of them, with smooth, sparkling scales the color of onyx, and small, beady eyes of diamond. Its face was slightly doglike and lizardlike at the same time, and it had two long horns that were made of enchanted pearl.
Hector jumped onto the creature's back, and Spyridion followed suit. "Jump on, Prilla!" they said.

Prilla vaulted onto its back by firing a pillar of stone from her hand, into the ground. She brushed the stone chips off of her palms, a fine dust filling the air and then instantly getting smothered by the rain. "It assuredly is a rather dank day." Prilla muttered to Hector as she clung to the mighty beast.

"Didn't I give you an umbrella?" Hector asked, confused as to why she hadn't opened it yet. "You're gonna get wet without it..." The rain pelted heavily against his blue umbrella, and soaked Naura's unprotected skin. Spyridion moved up in front of everybody, and held on to Naura's horns.
"Naura, we need you to go all the way to the east. I'll tell you when to stop." Spyridion pointed to the east, and Naura turned around, kicked off the ground with its mighty but slender hind legs, and began to elegantly soar through the pouring rain and strong gusts. Naura flew above the empty streets of Kierra Liaithon, and kept flying until there was no more Kierra Liaithon to fly above. Now it was just a stretch of road surrounded by meadows, until they reached a fork in the road.
"Go left," Spyridion placidly commanded. Naura turned left, and kept gliding through the rain until she stopped in front of a thick, dark forest. Naura landed gently on the ground, and Spyridion and Hector stepped off of the dragon. "This is Alitalis Forest. Careful when you're in there, there are lots of dangerous creatures in there, and I'm sure you don't want to become a giant spider's lunch."

Prilla lept free of the beast, glancing around the forest. Thousands of noises assailed her ears in the cacophony of the thunder storm. Snapping twigs, pouring rain, hisses, whistles, grunts... It all blended together to immerse her in an impenetrable curtain of sound. Leaves slipped and slid beneath her feet as she attempted to move around the forest.
"Certainly, this is not the manner of quest I expected. I had hopes that this would be somewhat less murky."

OOC: Andrea is so totally going to be Andreas again from now on BIC: "Nothing's too murky when it comes to creature hunting," Spyridion commented. He and Hector followed Prilla inside, but took careful steps and turned their heads in every direction to watch for any sudden attacks. The forest was so thick that absolutely no light shone through from the top, so Hector had to light his hand to be able to see through the pitch black darkness. Black crows were perched upon the branches, letting out its creepy cawing noise. Various types of insects buzzed around, creating a surrounding wall of raucous around them. There was a lingering smell that hovered around in the air, a dank, malodorous stench that brought to mind rotting flesh. Hector unsheathed his Tiamat Blade, while Spyridion pulled out a long, golden machete from inside his robe. "Careful... Be on high alert." Suddenly, something approached them from behind while they weren't looking. A giant panther snuck up on them and pounced on Spyridion, knocking him to the floor. It raised its paw and slashed his neck, leaving three bleeding cuts on the flesh. Spyridion pushed the panther off of him, sprung to his feet, and split its head open with one swing of the machete. The panther collapsed onto the ground with a faint thud, and Spyridion ran his fingers down his wounds. "This is what I mean by 'be careful'. Everything here can and will attack you." He pulled out a small bottle of a sparkling, clear gel from his pocket. Pouring some on his fingers, he rubbed the remedy onto his cuts, and waited as they slowly healed and closed up.

Prilla noted something familiar about the shape of the machete... Something very, very familiar. Maybe a sword somebody she had known had used, maybe something she had seen in a film? She could not recall. It was almost like she had remembered it on a subliminal level. These thoughts were all dismissed once the beast lept through the trees. Prilla rolled clear, instinctively forming a short column from her left hand to act as if it were a shield. She knelt behind it, ready for the creature's attack. As Spyridon dealt with it, she let her shield fall and shatter on the earth.
"Superb smiting, pharmacist." Prilla said, removing twigs from her clothes and hair. She brushed off a nasty centipede, a creature almost two feet long with dripping metallic fangs. She extended her open palm over it, a column of stone descending from it to obliterate the insect.
"If it is a monster seeking we go, these forests surely hold enough of the creatures to weigh the odds in our favor."

"Yes, but we'll have to be able to distinguish the Stymphalian birds... There are lots of other similar looking birds out there." Spyridion held his machete tightly and looked around in a paranoid manner. Everything was after them... A spooky-looking leaf branch fell on top of Spyridion's shoulder, and he quickly disposed of it by about-facing and chopping the leaf branch into tiny pieces.
"Oh. It was just a tree branch. That's a relie--"
"LOOK OUT!" Hector knocked Spyridion and Prilla to the floor, barely dodging the hostile fleet of black, bloodsucking bats that flew right at them. Fortunately, they kept on flying right past them, until they disappeared into the darkness. "They're attacking us like crazy..."
Spyridion jumped to his feet, dusted himself off, and kept walking, careful not to trip on any overgrown tree roots. "We should be close to where I think its nest is. Just stay calm, and be careful."

Prilla felt more secure in the thickly treed forest. It was more secure for her to use columns in, since it wasn't as wide-open in the storm. She looked to Spyridon with curiosity. "Mayhaps it 'twould be most advantageous if I 'twere fell the trees obstructing our progress?" She helpfully offered, readying to fire giant columns of stone through nearby trees if he agreed to her plan. However, the birds were supposedly rather skittish around loud noises, so she didn't know if it would help or harm to destroy the trees.

"Yes, the birds are known for being weak and frightened by loud noises, so I don't think that cutting down trees would be the best way to go. Besides, I think we're getting close. Listen." Spyridion cupped his hand and held it to his ear. A faint cry was audible, somewhat songbird-like and somewhat hawklike. "Just keep going until you find something."
The group advanced, making sure to follow the cries. The forest got even thicker as they did, though, with trees getting so close together that they had to crawl and snake their way into any opening they found. They most certainly got nicked and cut by tree branches and pointy thorns. The insects also became really annoying and decided to snack on the explorers. A fairly large spider embedded its fangs into Spyridion's leg, swelling up the area and turning it a dark purple color.
"ARGH! I can't move!" Spyridion sunk to the ground, clutching his leg in agony. He plucked the spider off and threw it a great distance away from him. His wound was large and had swelled up badly, rendering him immobile. A fang was still stuck inside of the bite. "I don't have an antidote for this kind of venom yet, but using this fang... I can cook one up back at the pharmacy. For now, you'll have to go on without me. Keep going, you're really close!" He carefully pulled out the fang and dropped it into an empty bottle he had with him.
"You sure you'll be okay, Spyro?" Hector asked, worried about his dear friend.
"Yeah. I have my machete as well as other things to protect me. You just keep going!" Spyridion pointed to the left, telling the group to walk in that direction. Hector obeyed, leading Prilla through the thick trees and driving away any pests that tried to have a go at them. The forest got steadily darker and darker, and the foliage got thicker and thicker until at last they came to a clearing.
It was the only spot in the forest that got sunlight. The grass was bright green and damp from the pouring rains, which had subsided a while before. The gentle wind swayed the blades of grass back and forth, creating an effect similar to the ocean's tide. In the middle of the clearing was a tall rock spire with a large nest built out of twigs and leaves delicately built at the top. Watching diligently from its nest was a giant brown bird, staring down at the intruders with black, beady eyes.
Its feathers were rigid and needlelike, nothing like the soft plumage of normal birds. Its crest was a different color from the rest of its body, a vivid crimson color that looked as if it had been dyed with the blood of the poor creatures that had dared disturb the bird. Its tailfeathers were long and were the same color as its crest. The bird's long, golden beak was stained with blood and pieces of organs and flesh were dangling from it.
It let out one shrill shriek, and climbed out of the nest slowly. Then, all of a sudden, it nosedived towards Prilla, sharp beak first. It threw its head forward, with the intent to pierce through her with its beak. "Prilla, watch out!" Hector warded the bird off by swinging his sword in front of her and banging the bird's beak with the broad end of the sword. The bird, its beak slightly bent, was infuriated and turned around, flying in a semicircle and rocketing towards Prilla to try another shot. "He's coming again!!!"

"We have naught to fear." Prilla stated loudly, and pointed her palm down, hammering the earth with a massive column of grey stone. This propelled her into the air, from which she fired a series of medium-sized stones from her free hand. The pummelled the hide of the bird with minimal effect, shattering in a series of pops. Prilla released her grip on the colum, and dropped, attempting a flying kick to the bird's forehead. The crest slashed at her, though, and she kicked away, backing down from the threatening defenses. She landed on forest floor, noting her injuries. A bloody knee, a cut on her forearm. Nothing lethal, but the bird had come close.
