The following is a transcript of Pohatu's thought process between the hours of 12:40 am and 12:41 am on Thursday the 22nd of December, 2011.
POHATU: . . .
[POHATU watches NINETY's post scroll by for three seconds.]
POHATU: Well, fuck this.
[POHATU hits "quote post" and reads NINETY's text wall that way.]

oh my god sadgfdshfj I'd love to say that I was a good sport about the whole thing and waited patiently to read the whole thing after you worked so hard to write it all (even while watching parks and rec? I am so impressed) but honestly I got to the weathering the storm bit and thought "nope" and did what Pohatu did.
also the only reason I haven't finished my Househeld update is because now that my computer is two years old OBVIOUSLY it is time for everything to break simultaneously - most notably my goddamn tablet pen. Now that I'm home I've been digging around for my old wacom in between christmas shopping and excessive cookie baking. I get the sinking feeling it might be under my bed somewhere.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in putting up the next challenge. I'm still not quite ready to start, but one thing I can heartily recommend you guys do is go to the wiki and click around a little bit. See what you can see. Challenge begins properly, hopefully, tomorrow morning.

Okay so I did such a thing and I found this! (Click for a bigger image.) I seeeeeeeee that there are thumbprints. We should get a jump on him. I also found an r, a d, a q, an 8, a 3, a 1, a p, a w, an m, an n, a 4, a 5, a 6, a t, and a 0. Links under spoiler

Okay chums let's do this. As Testbug has already noticed, there are thumbprints scattered around the wiki, each accompanied by a single letter or digit. Not on every page, good Lord no, or I'd still be working on setting it up. But enough to play a little game. This isn't a retread of the Thumbprint Search, in case you were wondering. You don't get 1 EP for every thumbprint you find, or something. That would be boring and redundant, and would ignore the possibilities afforded by hosting this mission on the wiki instead of on the forum itself. Possibilities I intend to make full use of! What possibilities? Hyperlinks. Observe this page, which has no thumbprint. Notice how it links to three other pages: Rupert, Blood and Lee. Notice how those pages link to more pages. And those pages to still other pages. In a gigantic cobweb of interconnectivity: crisscrossing, looping around on itself, and shooting off isolated arms every which way. Your task is to navigate this connect-the-dots nightmare like Rose and Dave navigating the Furthest Ring. It's a daunting mission, but I believe you're up to it. Here's what I mean, specifically: Out of the thirty-odd pages that have been outfitted with thumbnails, there are seven in particular you're looking for. A series of seven pages that connect to each other via a progression of hyperlinks. Page 1 links to page 2, which links to page 3, and so on to page 7 (all seven pages are unique; the string doesn't double back on itself). You want to work out which seven pages these are because the corresponding letters and digits, embedded alongside the thumbprints on those pages, form a password. And that password will allow you to access a certain account. This account. Remember that guy? Screen name The Mole, username themole? Yes, you're going to be hacking the everloving fuck out of him. Find those seven pages. Work out the password. Log into the account. The rest... will take care of itself. Expect PMs from me shortly. Each of you will get a unique clue to help narrow down your search and make it easier to form the string. Otherwise this challenge would just be mean. I guess that's it! Any questions, ask away.

Question - when's the cutoff day for this one? Because I'm occupied all weekend and won't be able to exercise my full measure of Wiki-fu til Sunday night.

Oh, I wasn't expecting this to finish by the weekend. Middle of next week, more likely. I'll announce a more official date as we get closer -- probably Wed or Thu. Good question, thanks.

My clue -
"Don’t strain yourself to figure out where the chain starts. It shouldn’t be too much of a pain."
Everyone post your clues! I've been trying to crack this thing for several hours now - I know that the first letter is t, and according to 90's clue there's only one digit. That narrows it down, but not enough. There are still several potential passwords to go through, and I've been through a few dozen already.

"Like so much else, the string ends in blood and death."
I was thinking mayhaps it referred to two wiki pages? Like BloodWolf and Death by Awesome or whatever it was which would have the password ending in "n" and "t"

"I would hate for history to remember me as a narcissist, so I will say up front that the page “Pohatu” is not in the string."
Pretty straightforward in itself

My clue said there wasn't a g, and that should be a relief because of how many pages G links to!

Still several choices, though.
At this point we know the password is:
t----nt
with one of the missing spaces being a number from 1-9 we know the second space is either 1, r, or h we know its not Pohatu (0) we know there's no g
