so I kind of want to buy the HS calendar but I have a hard time not feeling guilty for buying things for myself during the holiday season when I haven't done any Christmas shopping whatsoever.

I would kill him with a broom, I would kill him with a boom! Mr. Huss, I'll be your doom. I would kill you with a gun, I would kill you, just for fun. I would kill him on a slab, I would kill him with a stab.
If I do, would you all blab?

Really, we shoulda known Vriska would be the one to push Gamzee over the edge.

Vriska pushed Gamzee over the edge?

Yeah, if you read between the lines a little. Gamzee was teetering without his sopor slime to calm him, and Vriska's murder of Tavros (who Gamzee had romantic aspirations towards) put him on a path of revenge. In either Tumblr or a Formspring, Hussie actually states Gamzee was making calculated moves to try and get Terezi to kill Vriska, including murdering some other trolls to frame her with, and using his fear powers to enhance Terezi's fear of Vriska escaping justice.
Sure, Karkat "calms him down", but the main point of his rampage had already been well over with by then.

Oh okay, yeah, I do think Tavros' corpse was what set Gamzee off, but Vriska didn't intend that. She wasn't like "All right, I'ma make Gamzee go crazee now." And I'm not entirely sure Gamzee set up the Terezi-Vriska confrontation specifically as a revenge plot against Vriska. He might not have had any idea who killed Tavros. I think he just knew the Scourge Sisters were pretty formidable and the best way to kill either of them was to set them against each other.

SON OF A BITCH. Why is Homestuck set up in one category with Girl Genius?! I can't choose between those two!

So, I think the best theory I've ever seen for Homestuck just came about Caliborn prototyped a UNIVERSE. So Lord English is not acting on some random rampage; instead, the universes he destroys are actually prototyped enemies from his session. Lord English is merely playing a game of SBURB.

Yeah... don't. I glance at it periodically, but it's not really giving me much to be interested about.

so the new windy thing is pretty neat.
also I backed the kickstarter solely because I wanted a deck of Midnight Crew cards.

I pledged $25 to get ahold of the game and the soundtrack. I don't care much about the extra merchandise. Actually the tarot deck would be fuckin' dope, but not worth $155.

tooooootally worth it.
though I see most of it as investing in the dev team, not using it as a pre-order. Remember: Kickstarter is for funding, not for pre-ordering, and when you go into venture capital, your ventures can fail. You're not actually guaranteed anything except someone's effort.

Anybody else pledge, or are we gonna just lord it over all of you when the beta gets distributed?

Nah, we're just going to lord the fact that we still have money over you.

It's more-so a matter of frugality as opposed to fatuity.

I mean being frugal is fine, but being proud of not giving someone the resources they need to create something is not.
Basically what I'm trying to say is your witty retort about lording your saved up money over us just makes you look like a dick who hates people making new things.

Fair enough, perhaps it does. I hadn't read your comment about funding the dev team until now. Most people do not view Kickstarter as that. It's more-so a means to obtain something from the creator; a doll, a plushie, a book. It is great that it's a means to create though (I know I'm looking forward to the Shadowrun Returns project), and I am not opposed to such things. I do however dislike the idea of using it as a means of lording over a gain as opposed to the rest of it, and greed does not pertain to money alone.
Also, to the "being proud of not giving someone the resources they need to create something" I've made it no secret that I have absolutely no means of purchasing things online, so, since this is now an issue, I'll admit to hiding behind my retort. Some of the stuff did sound cool and I would have liked to try the Beta. I don't care much for Homestuck, mostly the fandom, but it's an independent success story and I love that fact.
