Hilo, Hawaii. Saddle road in the middle of the Hilo forest reserve.
Prime was sitting on an expensive dual sport motorcycle, depending on what you classified as expensive for a bike. He was looking up the side of the Volcano, more towards the south from his location. A little researched had dug up what was, supposedly, an old Gods weapon. Given his ability, he thought it might me more than a little useful.
Though honestly, yoinking something from a God was never the best idea, so he'd emailed a few friends and associates asking for a little help. He didn't wait up though, if they were interested, they could get here a lot easier than he could. He actually have to book a flight.
Arranging shipping for the bike had been a pain in the arse to, but he wasn't going to climb the side of a Volcano, home of a possibly soon to be extremely pissed off God, at merely human speeds. And since his only decent weapon had faded away after that battle with some alternate version of Yoshimitsu, he was essentially powerless.
The bike seemed like a good idea.
Besides, he liked motorcycles. There's nothing else like ripping it up, and feeling that complete freedom as you shred through the long open roads. Especially in a place with no traffic, like this island.
Get swung his leg off the bike, propped it up on its kick stand, and sat down.
He'd included the exact GPS co-ordinates of where he'd be waiting, and been sure to given the exact time he'd be there. Both in local time and japanese time. So, if they were coming, that'd certainly know where to be and when.
He was mildly curious to see if Rie showed up. Mostly because he got the feeling she'd bring some enormous jeep for the job. He wasn't quite sure though, both Rie and Natalie had more resources than him.

Seriously, I will stop RPing. Why is everyone giving any topics I post the cold shoulder? I have to recruit people beforehand ffs, practically twist their arms. Pretty much ANY character would fit in this topic. Its a sneaky stealy, use your brain to get around the Gods reality altering brawn topic. Whats up guys? Really...

OOC: I just have too much in my queu as is, man. I need to put more time into working on current stuff, to a degree that I doubt I have time for signing into much new stuff.

No, you I ignore my default, you NEED to finish your other stuff.
Hint.
GHOSTS AND RUST.
I am directing my wrath at all the other lazy wankers who never join my topics. Which is pretty much everyone. *sigh*
Elliot, Choobeh, Kevin, Pohatu, wait. We don't have all they many RPers left now do we? Shame.

OOC: Cendra, SV, Lone, Blood, BB, DL, Kara, Qzumaki, in a few months Clicker and maybe Luigilover, Kuroboom, Ninety, Iron Mouse, etc. Not to say that we couldn't use more people in RP. We always can. But it's more a matter of a lot of them needing prodding or outright invitation to enter a topic than a matter of simply not having actual people. EDIT: Not to be harping on Prime. I'm glad to see him pushing for new topics and trying to drum up some activity. Gives the new and returning writers a place to go while the massive raft of finishing RPs and Ishkabibble are going down. I'm just trying to be a voice of optimism. ^_^

An albino golden eagle soared over the reserve. This was odd on several accounts. For one, it was albino, which was pretty rare and mildly disconcerting, but otherwise natural. For two, big birds didn't live in Hawaii, especially of the eagle variety.
The bird pulled into a dive, headed in Prime's general direction. Moments before hitting the ground, the bird opened and flapped its massive wings, the six foot span kicking up all kinds of dirt and slowing the animal's descent considerably. As its talons descended to the ground, they suddenly began transforming into combat boots.
The bird legs quickly followed as fatigue covered legs burst out of them. All over, feathers retracted into the body. Soon, a young woman stood where the eagle once was, in mid stride. She pulled a rifle from behind her back, checked it quickly, then put it back.
"You promised there would be a good reward for this job," Rie said monotonously.

"Well, one would hope." Prime said, looking Rie over carefully. She still carried herself slightly awkwardly, something was missing. He sighed.
"We are raiding what amounts to a Gods stash, as it were." He said, looking at the Volcano behind him. He still wasn't quite sure what to expect.
"Ah well," He said, starting up his bike. "You want to make a start on this, and have any others meet up with us later, or do you want to hang around a bit?" Prime asked, brushing off the seat behind him on his bike, so Rie could hop on as well.

Chris sat on his haunches halfway up the volcano looking in the direction of the supposed location of the meet-up. He raised his binoculars to his eyes and glassed over the area, settling on a young man sitting on a parked motorcycle. He checked his watch and noted that the meeting time was quickly passing.
“Looks like our hero will have to go at it alone.”
A shadow passed over him and he looked up to see a great white bird flying away from him. It looked like it had spotted the biker as it dove down towards him. Chris raised his binoculars to see if the man would react in time to the raptor’s threat but instead watched as what began as an eagle turned into a young woman with some heavy artillery on her back. He lowered the glasses.
“Shit. He’s going to have some help after all. Well this should at least liven things up considerably. I was moments away from just walking back down this rock to sip some mind erasers by the beach until I passed out. Good to know these guys don’t disappoint.”
He looked through the binoculars once more and noted that the pair looked like they were making preparations to set out. He stood up, stretched his stiffened muscles and checked his equipment before making his way towards the summit as surreptitiously as he could manage.
“Don’t want to give away their surprise now, do we? I need to really hoof it though if I’m going to beat a guy on a motorcycle and a girl who can turn into a bird. Or I suppose it could be a bird that turns into a girl. I wonder what she, uh, it classifies itself as.”
He stopped and turned to note his progress then pulled the Mossberg pump-action around on its sling to make sure there was a shell already chambered.
“Nothing better than a shotgun for bird hunting.” Chris laid the shotgun across his back and pulled the Glock from its holster to do as he had done with the Mossberg. Satisfied with the status of his primaries he started walking again. He heard the sound of an engine kicking on in the distance and quickened his pace.

Rie looked at the back of the motorcycle for a moment. She considered simply following as a cheetah, but a glance at the volcano that they were about to scale made her reconsider. She wouldn't be able to keep a sprint that long, so she she just mounted the bike.
The girl wrapped her left arm around Prime's waist, and with her dominant arm, checked to make sure the three pistols strapped to her belt were still buttoned in but easy to grab. The knife and artillery check would come later.

"Guess that means you're good to go," Prime muttered, pulling Rie's other arm around his waist.
"Make sure you lean with me, otherwise this is going to be a short trip." He said, popping the bike into first and letting the clutch out with a mean burn out.
He took off up the side of the mountain at speed, his left hand brushing over two objects on his belt, as though making sure they were still there, then returning to the clutch.
The ride was bumpy, bit Rie was more than adept enough to lean with him through the ride, and the Dual Sports powerful engine and offroad tires made quick work of the trip.
Eventually they came to a stone tablet that Prime knew to be the entrance, though supposedly it had a complex locking mechanism.
Powersliding the bike to a sharp halt, he looked at the large tablet skeptically. It was about twelve feet tall, maybe, more than twice his height, and wide enough for two.
He gestured at it, "You bring any magical lock picks?" Prime asked, otherwise unsure of how to open the door.
"Or maybe some C4?"
There were a few inscriptions on the door, pictographs. One showed the sun at its height, another the piercing eye of a bird of prey. Yet one more showed two men, standing to either side of the door, touching it.
Prime frowned, and got off the bike. Examining either side of the tablet showed two odd markings, that he wasn't entirely sure how to describe. They were, however, identical.
Climbing to the top of the tablet, he also found a shallow bowl of water. When he tried to touch it, a persistent force repelled his hand.
He climbed down, scratching his head.
"I have no goddamn idea how this works, any hints?" Prime asked Rie.

Chris looked on from his perch in the craggy lava formations that made up most of the volcano’s sides. He had reached the door just a few minutes ago but had no luck in figuring out its mechanisms and hadn’t thought to bring along anything for demo work. He heard the motorcycle approaching quickly and decided to hide himself amongst the rocks and let his quarry do the dirty work.
Shit, Prettyboy doesn’t know how to do it either and if that chick decides to turn this mountainside into Chinese New Year I won’t even be able to kiss my ass goodbye since it’ll be on the other side of the island.
He thought for a moment longer then stood up and started walking towards the pair.
“Hey friendos! Heard about your little treasure quest and thought you could use a hand! The name’s Chris Truman.”

"Now this is getting interesting... I thought they said this place was going to be clear of any visitors. Yet because of the God's seal, the weapon was barely emitting anything... How did they know...?" Jeffrey was saying to himself.
He decided against making too much noise and simply continued to watch through the rocky surface of the volcano the actions of the unexpected guests.
These guys are trouble though. They know what they're looking for and where to look. And even moreso, these guys might turn out to be a problem if they all have their own little powers like that girl. I can't take them all on at the same time...
OOC: Hope y'all don't mind me joining the party

"I only have two frag grenades," Rie said idly. She eyed the door. "The most obvious way to interpret this door is to have two people touch either side of the door when the sun is high. Dunno about the bir-"
Movement. A man stepped out behind some rocks. Seeing the guns this guy was toting, Rie didn't hesitate to reach for one of her pistols. With practiced ease, she unbuttoned the strap, pulled the weapon from the holster, and had it level with the stranger. Finger was on the trigger. She intended to kill if the need be.
"Know him?" she said to Prime.

Prime turned in synch with Rie, hand going to his belt. One of the devices on his belt projected out a spine for a sword, with a sharp metal spear like tip. A plasma field filled the void between the hilt and the tip, and came to rest pointing straight at the newcomers throat.
Prime looked at him carefully, his posture was carefully neutral and he was being careful not to make any moves to antagonize Rie or himself. Prime lowered his sword a bit, this was a man who knew what was going on. Though his reason's for being there, Prime wasn't certain. In any case, if he'd wanted to attack them, he could have easily done it from concealment.
"Lower your weapon," Prime said, adhereing to his own worlds. He placed his collapsed weapon back on his belt.
"I'm not sure who he is, but he could've made an attempt on us already if he meant us harm." Prime said, then took a slight bow to the newcomer.
"Nice to meet you Chris, my name is Prime. This is Rie, don't mind her, she isn't much for conversation. Step lightly or she'll stab you." Prime said, moving closer to Chris, and offering his hand to shake.

After contemplating for a bit, he decided to jump down from his position.
"Don't mean to interupt the party, but we're all here for a reason. And, Prime, if you want explosives, I'm your man....As long as you're willing to share some of the stuff that's behind that door."
Moving his sniper rifle to his left hand, he formed a large, fiery grenade in his right.
"However.... While I'm not sure how to get in, I know that if you try to blow this up, the whole volcano will explode, and I'm sure that none of us would really want that to happen. Just thought that you should know."
The grenade in his hand dissipated into thin air.

"I'll only stab you if you happen to be where my knife is."
Rie had lowered her weapon at Prime's request, just when another man who could conjure grenades appeared. She did a quick turn and pointed her pistol at this newcomer. What is with all these people jumping out of no where? And why didn't I notice them before? I'm getting rusty.

He put the sniper rifle on the sling around his back and pulled his sword, which for a mere moment revealed a enchanting aura on the two sides of the blade. One, blue with a slight electrical charge running around it. The other, dark purple with black orbs emitting from it. Then, he held it in his hand, pointed somewhat towards the rest.
"You want a sword fight, let's go. Either way, I'm after some stuff in that vault behind me, whether all of you are alive or not. So," he turned to Prime, "what do you say? There's plenty of stuff in there for the both of us."

Prime grinned, "Don't tempt me," He said, "There's nothing I enjoy more than a good session with the blade."
Prime bid the boy put his sword away, and turned back to the tablet. He examined it carefully again.
"Well, weather the mountain goes off or not, doesn't seem like there's another decent way in." He sighed, "Only a few frags on you Rie? Damn, those aren't likely to do it."
He climbed up to the top of the stone, and looked again at the shallow bowl of water. It was fairly off, as it magnified what it reflected.
"Hmmmm, thats interesting." Prime muttered, looking more closely at the bowl. He trailed off into a personal monologue of muttering to quiet for the others to hear. He paused briefly to look up at the sky, checking the position of the sun, then looked back down at Rie and the others.
"You two," He said to the newcomers, "Stand to either side of the tablet and touch those symbols." Prime paused, continuing to examine the picotographs on the rim of the bowl. It was a load of nonsense to him, he supposed it was a similar mechanism to a school combination lock.
And when all else fails, use the master key.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Cats are popping up all over this damn mountain. Twenty minutes from now we’ll have enough people to start a slow-pitch softball team. I bet that chick would make a great pinch-hitter and fireball over there could probably pitch. Maybe someone else will come along to play first base…
Chris lifted his head out of his thoughts to hear the cyclist directing him to touch the doorway.
“Uh….kay.”

"Fine, let's see what happens," he said as he walked up to the stone.
Suddenly stopping for a moment, he turned and said, "Although, I do have to wonder how the hell you're not wondering about how that stone is not only cool enough to touch, but is cool TO the touch even though we're in the middle of an ACTIVE volcano."
OOC-sorry about that, Prime. I was SURE that I had posted here. My bad.

"Well," Prime said, "Probably because the mouth of the volcano is all the way up there." He said, pointing straight up the side of the mountain, to the fissure that was the volcano's mouth at the top.
When both men had their hands on the stone, Prime looked carefully at the shallow bowl again. He still couldn't touch it, or reach into it, but now there was a faint symbol on the bottom.
He shifted around, trying to get a better look, when for a moment he could see the bubble. He froze, and slowly moved his head back to that position. It was nearly directly overhead the bowl, reflecting his eye.
Prime could see the bubble around the bowl, and then, perfectly, his iris on the water below it.
He reached one finger slowly through the bubble, and touched his iris.
And suddenly everything went dark.
It was like someone had suddenly grabbed the bones of those present, and started dragging them through space.
There was a harsh cracking sound, and everyone appeared about five feet above the floor, falling with a crash.
Prime coughed on dust, no one had cleaned here in ages. Sputtering, and trying to breath normally, he just kept coughing as he looked around, his eye's watering. They were in a large hall, several square pillars keeping the ceiling above them.
There were doorways at either end of the hall, and three more, evenly spaced, on either side.
He scanned the space for enemies, shrugging when he turned up with nothing.
"My guess..." He coughed, several times, "Is either a banquite hall.....or a central chamber...."
