OOC - This is not another war topic, as you may think from reading this first post, it's a.. story topic for a this new character I'm introducing, my main character as of now. BIC - A tall man sat upon a black horse, on the wasteland’s facing a city somewhere in Europe; he had a small legion of troops behind him, civilian troops, which he had amassed around the world. They came from all types of backgrounds, but all hating different things, people that hated mankind, people that hated greedy people, people that hated everything in general. They stood behind him and his master every step of the way, to destroy all mankind. His horse shifted slightly, now to face the wind and his black robe lifted in the wind, flying with it, his hood that covered his face, making sure nothing of it could be seen, threatened to blow down for a second, before he turned away denying the world that privilege. He tugged on the reins forcing his horse towards the camp they had made. He rose his hand to the men, and spoke his voice almost a whisper, but some magic made everyone hear it, “Rest tonight, we march at dawn.” His men cheered, all now huddling round the fires, or entering the huge tents erected to get sleep. A voice entered his mind, Asus; I am in need of you. Again tugging the reins, his horse started to gallop, its destination, his master’s tent on top of a hill, overlooking the rest of the camp. Asus jumped off as he approached landing carefully as too not ruffle his robe, or dislodge his hood and entered the tent, his hand shoving the hanging door away. He surveyed the room, his master sat lounging in his throne, and another was knelt before him, almost crying, “You called my master.” Asus acknowledged bowing slightly to his master, who nodded in return. “Yes Asus I did, it seems we have a traitor in our midst.” Nodding towards the man kneeling before him, “he has notified the defence ministry to our attack, kill him now.” Asus’s master commanded. Asus hesitated, the hold his master had on his mind was failing, he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he couldn’t stop it. “Asus, why do you hesistate? Are you a traitor too,” His master shouted impatiently, while the traitor looked up with hope. Asus answered with a shake of his head and stepped towards the kneeling peasant. His master waved his hand, smiling and almost as if the traitor was possessed, he sprung up, a dagger appearing in his hand, that he had concealed and launched at Asus, attempting to impale him. Asus pivoted on his foot, his shredded leather cape swishing through the air like a whip as he went, dodging the attack with ease, the traitor sailing past his, but he came round for another attack, slashing once, then twice, then three times, Asus, dodging each attack quickly, almost as if he was walking in the park. The traitor, slashed at his head, apparently trying to cleave it off, but the attack was ducked under and a hand, encased in an armoured glove appeared from beneath the robe, clenching a black curved dagger, Asus thrust forward, the dagger impaling the man’s stomach, the traitor dropped dead. Asus was appalled by what he had done, he never liked killing, turned away towards his master, not wanting to look at the body, his hand once again being concealed in his robes. “There, you are still loyal after all Asus. Get some rest, we march at dawn.” Asus nodded and left, hating himself for what had just occurred. OOC - Find a way to jump in please.

Six looked out over the huge camp that had been erected. The flicker of candle light could be seen from some of the large tents. He had been watching for some time. The large army that had stopped here reeked of evil. As he lay in hiding his eyes constantly scanning the area for movement he watched as a man in black robes galloped towards a larger tent up on the hill. The figure entered the tent, it was a small while before he emerged again. As he walked back to his horse his head seemed to hang lower, even though his face was not visible he had the look of someone who was filled with guilt. Six decided to confront the man, perhaps he could find out why this army was here. He stood up and dropped from his hiding place atop a group of huge rocks. The thick grey cloak that he had wrapped himself billowed out as he landed softly. Making sure to be as quiet as possible he moved in the direction he had seen the hooded man ride. He followed the horse and rider to another tent, he watched as the man dismounted and went inside. Six moved toward the tent, the horse snorted loudly as he approached. The fire user stroked the horse reassuringly before turning his attention back to the tent. He pushed aside the hanging door and stepped inside. "Excuse me, I was wondering if you could help me?" He said rather casualy as he sat down on a small wooden chair. "Care to tell me why you and your friends are here?" OOC: Best I could manage without much to go on

Asus froze up when he heard the voice from behind him, he turned slowly, surveying the one who was daring enough to confront him, in the middle of a camp, full of people who hated mankind.
“Help you?” Asus’s cold voice asked, “And who might you be? I wonder.” He approached the man, who now was sitting down, slowly and carefully encase of hostility. “Why do you think we they are here?” Asus asked, although he didn’t need an answer, “They are here to wipe out humankind, they are on a campaign to kill everyone who doesn’t join them.” He answered.
Asus turned away, towards the desk sitting in the middle of the room, a magnificent sword lay there, the blade was dark red and the hilt made of bone, dressed in black jewels, a long whip lay next to it, he grabbed the sword, and held it tightly, he did not intend to hurt the one who had confronted him, but at least he had defense.

"See, the problem there is that I don't think you feel quite the same way." Six said shifting slightly in his seat. "I saw you coming out of the tent up on the hill. You didn't have the look of someone particularly evil. I guess looks can be decieving, but your energy isn't like the others either."
Six paused for a second as Asus walked over to the desk. "Surely if you were like them you wouldn't hesitate in bringing that blade down on my skull?" He said eyeing the demonic looking sword. "So might I ask why you would join this group of miscreants if you do not share their hatred and lust for destruction?"

No one had noticed Ender teleport into the seat next to Six. I don't know how. But anyways, Ender sat there, newspaper unfolded in front of himself. His leg was crossed over the other, and he was slightly slouched, an aura of relaxation almost emanating from him.
"Evil is such a silly word," he finally said. "If it were really so black and white, the dark energy I house in me could make me count as evil."
He folded the newspaper. A tophat appeared on his head, and he tipped it towards Six and Asus. The hat promptly disappeared when he was done with the greeting.
"Though, of course, I will have to kill someone if there's so much as an attempt to destroy mankind."

The cell ringed, it's irritating melody carrying on to itself until Abel flicked the cell open and held it up to his head.
"Speak."
"Did you find them yet?"
"Yeah," He responded to the voice, his tone more apathetic than anything. "It reeks of evil. Tell me, big brother, this wouldn't have anything to do with you, would it?"
"Aw... don't you trust your big brother?"
"Not at all."
"Well, Abel, let me assure you, this has nothing to do with me."
Abel sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. Cain often had that effect on him. "Then why send me here if this has nothing to do with us?"
"Do you want the truth?"
"Yes."
"No particular reason. Just brotherly teasing."
"What?"
"You will take care, won't you? It'd be awful if you were killed."
"Cain--"
"Goodbye, Abel."
And with that the line was severed. Abel snapped the phone closed, obviously irritated. Cain damn well had a reason for sending him here, irregardless of what he said (chances are it involved the possibility of a dead Abel in the morning). He made his way towards the camp, his mind an agitated mess. If Cain was lucky, Abel wouldn't survive to strangle him.

"So, what are you doing here? You seem like one of the few sane enough to avoid this situation." A man, standing roughly an average height with a well-conditioned build, approached Abel. His hair was kept fairly short, immaculately cared for though still a mossy green. He wore a simple leather jacket and jeans, though there was some peculiar kanji on the back of the jacket.
"Almost like those neo-Nazi rallies I had the distinct displeasure of observing." The man looked towards Abel, his luminous red eyes catching the young man's attention. "They tend not to like my kind."

Abel took a step back, slightly surprised by the man approaching him. He paused, the guy's words slowly registering in his mind. His eyes, one violet and one deprived of an iris, locked onto the man.
"Don't mind me," he said carefully, "I'm just observing." As soon as the words left he found himself inwardly grimacing. He just sucked at lying. Where was Cain when he needed him? He looked back at the mess of a camp sprawled across the landscape, his face blank. "Tell me," he began, "would you happen to know what this is about?"

"I have no idea about this. It's large and structured like an army, and since they're gathered in the open it's presumed that they are planning on some kind of offensive action... So yeah, I'm here on observance too, you could say." He ran his fingers through his hair.
"You ever hear of the South Pole Summoners?" Miko had to be cautious approaching this point. Some people wouldn't hesitate to kill anybody associated with his cause. Although he had been controlling their policy very closely recently, they still had the deaths of millions hanging over their heads. A lot of people wouldn't be able to forgive them for as long as they lived. Miko, lost in thought, cursed viciously. He still regretted his actions in Slateport, Celadon, and Saffron. All three cities had been heavily damaged by his reckless use of summons, and because of it, his people were now regarded as criminals and terrorists.

Abel blinked. "I've heard the name, but that's about it." His eyebrows knit themselves together. Where had he heard that name? The news, maybe? He shook his head, brushing the thoughts aside for a better time. "Are those the people you're working for, then?"
He would have continued, but the voices coming from the camp over toward their direction made him swear under his breath. It seemed they've been spotted. "Looks like they've taken notice of us."

"Well that was rude of him to disappear," Ender said sarcastically.
He shrugged and turned the page of his newspaper when he heard voices from some of the other tents. They weren't coming in his direction, so the psionic tried to determine the source of the commotion.
One mind had a distinctive feeling in the crowd. Miko.
Ender, still sitting in his plastic folding chair, teleported over. He bore no animosity toward the South Pole Summoners. The only times he acted against them was when they were trying to take over the world. Miko himself didn't seem like such a bad guy; his reasoning was just flawed in some areas. It was more curiosity that caused Ender to teleport over, because he knew that the summoner didn't favor mass army attacks, as would obviously happen when this camp woke up.
The psionic reappeared, still sitting and reading his newspaper, in front of Miko. His head was hurting, but his ring was quickly undoing any damage.
"Evenin' Miko," Ender said. He lowered his paper enough to see over it, spotting the other person. "Evening to you too," Ender nodded. "Don't believe we've ever met. I'm Ender."
The voices were louder than before. "But, I think we should hold off on greetings and introductions for a bit so we can hide or something. You guys are loud."

OOC: Spatterpunk, you've picqued my curiousity. You seem very well mannered and definitely an experienced RPer (with good taste, no less!). I don't recall you from the old boards at all, but that could just be a faulty memory on my part. Where you from?
BIC: Miko nodded slightly. "Yes. In fact, I'm their leader..." He paused as Ender appeared, and reached into his pocket. His hand came out, adorned with rings of precious stone on each finger. He rolled one back and forth between his fingers as Ender greeted him. He hadn't ever actually battled Ender as far as he could recall. He had battled against other Cherrygrove people who were with Ender at the time, but Cobra had almost always been between Ender and him.
"I take it that we're allies this time, Ender." Miko tried to remember what number Cobra always called the psionic by. "In which case, you're very welcome to join us." Miko looked at the ground. "Besides, if things get ugly, we'll all be targets." Miko gestured for the duo to follow him a short way. He shattered a ring and sprinkled it on the earth, a bush instantly springing up to conceal them by encircling them.
"You have any info on the situation?"

OOC: I was on the old boards an... incredibly long time ago. I honestly don't remember much of it.
BIC: Abel jumped, startled by the instantly sprouting bush. Well, that was something new. It seemed the South Pole Summoner's leader had a few useful tricks.
He then turned his focus over to that stranger... Ender, was it? Abel had never encountered anyone like him; he was fairly certain of that.
And then... there was the people outside of the leafy barrier that would eventually have to dealt with... Abel silently prayed that any conflict would be mild and not end in death--
The obnoxious jingle of his phone snapped his attention back to it. He flicked it open, read the grammatically-incorrect message it presented him, and suddenly felt the urge to throw it over the barrier and hopefully hit someone on the head. He sighed in exasperation, closed his phone, and pocketed it.
"They can't get through that bush if they try, can they?" He inquired, trying to measure what options there were.

OOC: Or do what I did and unceremeniously leave. BIC: "All I can tell is there is that their leader isn't completely comitted to destroying mankind, like the rest of the people here," Ender said, as though it were the norm. The psionic shrugged, then turned to the other. "I don't think we've ever met," Ender held out a hand and smiled. "And don't worry about them getting in this bush. Even if Miko somehow messed up, which I doubt, I've got more than a few tricks up my sleeve."

Abel relaxed a little, relieved that any surprise attacks would be unlikely. He shook Ender's hand, his grip surprisingly firm for a his thin stature. "I'm Abel," he started his introduction, "You could say I'm an observationalist. Let's leave it at that for now."
He reached into his plaid blazer and pulled out a nail file, the sharp point twinkling dangerously. It seemed that he kept random objects pocketed in his clothes.
"I'm going to assume that if the troops are intent on mass destruction that we're not going to get out of here without a scuffle," he explained, his tone unnervingly polite. "Even if they can't get through here..."

OOC - Really sorry, I've been having computer trouble for the last few weeks, most of my shit isn't working atm. I got the net up though ^_^.
BIC:
Asus smiled, not that it was visible from underneath his hood, he turned towards Six.
"Very observant aren't you?" his harsh voice began, slightly chuckling making the air around him cold, like evil seeping out of him. "I might not want to lead these people here, but I have to, so if that it, I must be off." he finished, leaving Six behind him in the tent. Asus swung himself onto his horse, and produced a horn from somewhere in his robes, his sword now hung at his waist, waiting for battle.
Asus drew breath, and brought the horn to his lips, he gave a sharp blow, and in seconds, his army, was gathered behind him in seconds. "We march now, fools." And with that the army quickly made it's way towards to now doomed city.

Six gave a mental shout to Ender once Asus had left, hoping that the telepath was still nearby.
"Ender, they are going to..." He broke off when the horn sounded "....well, you can probably guess. So now I need out of here and I don't think the gentlemen outside are going to let me just walk past. Any chance you could help?"
The young warrior waited for a reply, he had a feeling things were about to liven up.

Miko glared at the troops as they began rising to action. He had not brought Bagan with him so that he could avoid anything that detected deific interferance, something that Bagan usually triggered. Dogolas was still recovering from an earlier fight, leaving him with only Mogu if a fight broke out. Miko reached to his hip, and pulled loose his trademark golden hatchet. He spun it as he tossed it into the air, catching it by its handle with his right hand.
"I think we may need to interfere." Miko's left hand worked free a sapphire ring, which began to flake apart as a blue glow surrounded his left hand. "Though that may not be a bad thing."

"Yup," Ender shrugged. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his revolver. He flicked his wrist to check if it was loaded, saw that it was, then reholstered it. With his other hand, the psionic pulled out his bottle of aspirin and tossed a few tablets into his mouth. After a moment of consideration, he tipped the bottle up and swalled all of the contents.
Ender shook his head as the painkillers hit him like a brick. "Gimme a sec."
The psionic suddenly vanished from the bush. He reappeared moments later right next to Six. Almost as fast as he had appeared, he disappeared again, taking Six with him as he teleported back to Abel and Miko.

Abel blinked as he watched Ender disappear and suddenly reappear with another person. He was now officially certain that today was definitely the weirdest day in his existence. He groaned and tilted his head to the side, wincing as he felt his neck pop in protest. Suddenly, with the socipathic army outside the barrier and the unusual company he'd found himself among, Abel felt incredibly old... which was really weird in itself, considering he wasn't.

"Speed it up, we haven't got all day," Asus hissed across the legion of troops surrounding him, they complied picking up the pace, all talking between themselves, or growling softly, shaking there weapons at the city before them.
Asus sat upon his horse, still wondering why he was doing this, constantly trying to force himself not to, to break the bonds around his mind he had been cursed with upon birth, to serve his master, until his dying day. "Keep it up, wait for my signal to attack, don't rush in like fools you'll get youselves killed."
OOC - Okay, you lot can attack us if ya wish, just treat the troops like any other enemy you would, they aren't incredible strong, but don't make it a walk in the park. They weild all kinds of weapons, swords, axes, flails, mace's, gun's, etc etc.

"We have to stop this, or try at any rate." Six said pulling both kamas from his belt. "Miko can you lift this bush?"

Post by Tout-Perd on Dec 14, 2006 15:07:19 GMT -5
"Better than that." Miko grinned wildly, and snapped his fingers. The leaves on the bush exploded off of it, creating a cloud of cover. As the leaves settled, the bush turned savage, sending lances of wood rocketing into beings all around the focal point. Miko whisked his hand in a circle, a colossal spire forming beneath his feet and lifting him into the air.
Miko slipped a thick jade ring off of his finger, and swan-dove off of the pillar. His outfit dissolved in the air, trailing behind him in a cloud of scraps. Revealed beneath it was his usual camouflage fatigues, his crimson cape and golden armlets. He slammed into the earth hands first, rolling to lessen the impact. He sprung to his feet, and stomped on the ring. The earth around him rumbled, and Miko gestured, a gargantuan spire of ebony wood exploding from the earth beneath a group of charging troops.
"You all may think that you're behind the greatest leader ever, that you fight for some worthy cause." Miko sidestepped behind his column of wood as the troops opened fire. "But really, the only thing that comes of violence on such a scale..." A bullet grazed Miko's left shoulder, causing him to wince. He slammed his fists together, several rings shattering on impact.
"IS DEATH AND PAIN FOR ALL!" Miko spun out from behind the tree, his fists glowing. He dropped one knee, unfurling both fists and letting the energy flow to his fingertips. Thousands of tiny crescent shaped blades rocketed from his fingertips, tearing through the encampment before him. Most soldiers were far enough back to only get clipped by one or two in the spread shot, but it had made them wary.
They began to take cover, organize and structure their ranks. The swordsmen came to the front, closing in on the group, and Miko readied his hatchet again. "From the leader of one army to another. I think it may be best that you reconsider this assault!" Miko shouted over the roar of battle.

Ender was too lazy to say something witty to the oncoming troops. Seeing as how the swordsmen were pretty close now, he really shouldn't have been thinking of a witty statement. He shrugged as the first opponent was only a meter away, ready to bring his sword down on the psionic.
Ender ducked under the attack and pushed his palm into the swordsman's solar plexus. With a quick, fluid motion, the boy brought his elbow down on the man's back, breaking his spinal cord. Without hesitating, the psionic kicked a nearby pebble into another swordsman's eye, finishing him with a quick blast of energy.
Three more melee fighters came up to him. They're attacks were blocked by small plates of psionic energy. Ender snapped. Arcs of psionic energy flowed down his arm and into one of the men, the mental energies converting to electrical energies inside the man's body. The high current instantly stopped his heart. With his other hand, Ender pushed a ball of highly condensed energy into another swordsman. A moment later, his chest expanded, and he crumpled to the ground.
The third swordsman was shocked by how quickly his comrades had been killed. Ender glanced over his shoulder at the frozen man, and without hesititating, spun around and kicked him in the side of the head. An audible snap came from his neck.

Six dashed forward and was instantly met with 4 soldiers. Two of the men wielded large broadswords, One a large battleaxe and the last man a halbard. Six pulled his arm back and launched one of his Kamas, the small scythe like weapon spun like a boomerang before embedding itself firmly in the chest of one of the men.
Six sprinted toward the soldier and grabbed his Kama, lifting his foot to the mans chest he wrenched the weapon free with a sickening crack. He then spun on the spot and reached behind him, grabbing the soldiers head, with one swift pull he ended the mans life.
OOC: Blegh gotta run I'll continue this later. ^^
