“I told ya I’m fine!” Jonas pushed the duplicate back gently with a meaty hand despite his protests, “Besides, do ya really have a bandage hefty enough fer a fella like me!” he chuckled as he smacked the duplicate on the back, nearly knocking him over.
Jonas stood and brushed himself off, there was a nasty hole in his jacket and shirt but he held his hand over the wound which hid most of the damage from view. He approached the three goons and waved his free hand over each one's mouth.
“I’m compressin’ da air around deir mouths. Dey can still breath and all, but dey won’ talk unless we wan’ ‘em to. It'll dissipate on its own 'ventually if I don' add more air.” Jonas added: “And Terrian, ya don’ have ta ask me ta come. I’ll see dis out with ya till da end.”

"I have nothing better to do," Rie said as she examined her pistols, making sure that the man hadn't managed to break them in the last few minutes. "Plus, they know my face, so I might as well show up."
She put the guns in their respective holsters, one on the left hip and two on the right, and made sure her belt was still tight around her waist.

"All right, sweet. I feel so safe now. Got my posse and everyth... hey!" Terrian exclaimed. The duplicates hauling the unshaven man to the garage were managing to knock his head against the washing machine and dryer a few times more than necessary on their way. "Gently, now, would you? What are the Giarrettieras going to say if their lieutenant there wakes up with an I.Q. of 80?"
"They'll say 'Oh good, he gained a few,'" one of the duplicates replied, but after that they hauled the unshaven man with slightly more care.
Once all three unconscious mobsters were nestled peacefully in the back seat of Terrian's sedan, he absorbed the other duplicates while Alpha slid the garage door up and surveyed the weather outside. It was a bright day, all clear greens and blues. A light breeze rolled into the garage as soon as the door was all the way open; the trees along the driveway were rustling accordingly. This would have been a suitable day to do something outdoors. Go down to the lake maybe. Perhaps the Giarrettiera brothers would be out taking in the sunlight on the veranda. No, Alpha thought, that seemed like a distinctly unlikely hope.
"...know the way to the hotel, I stayed there back in the house hunting days," Terrian was saying when Alpha turned his head back. The original was leaning back against the car with a hand on the hood. "You guys want to just follow me there? I'm afraid there isn't really much room in my ride. What with the smelly mafiosos and everything."
OOC: Plan on your next reply being the last in this topic, if you don't mind, and I'll finish Scene One with my next.

"I really don't take up much space. I don't think you want a big cat following your car to call attention to yourself," Rie said. She didn't bother opening up the back door. She didn't even bother to walk up to the door. Instead, she phased through the trunk area and stopped when she was standing over the three unconscious men.
The girl ducked down and carefully examined the knots tying them together as well as a quick vitals check. She then turned around and walked to through the car to the front seat.
Suddenly, white fur bristled along her skin and even out her clothes. Her arms and legs retracted into her rapidly shrinking body. Soon all that was left was an albino mouse. It scrambled around the seat, hoping whoever got in the car next would not sit on her.

Jonas motioned a hand toward his motorcycle. "I'll follow ya."
He lumbered over to his bike, which was certainly larger than average, and seated himself. There were several switches and dials that you usually wouldn't find on a bike, but Jonas seemed to know the purpose of each as he flipped and turned them. As the bike began to hum, he pulled his goggles down again and waited for Terrian to pull out of the garage so he could follow.

Rhys nodded and headed to his car, such as it was; one of those easily confused makes and models from a year Rhys wasn't quite sure of anymore, one could only describe the vehicle as rickety at best. Still, it was semi-reliable.
Now wasn't one of those times.
As he turned the key in the ignition, the old car groaned almost lethargically. He turned it again. The engine coughed but did nothing.
Rhys sighed. Typical that this would happen when he had some place to go urgently. Jaw clenched in frustration, he commenced a series of pedal-stomping, key-turning, and swearing that eventually brought the relic sputtering to life. He took a moment to light a cigarette, then rolled the window down and waved to signal he was ready to head out.

"Okay then," said Terrian, "off we go." After ensuring that Rie was safely on the dashboard, Alpha strapped into the suicide seat. He adjusted his legs to the side uncomfortably; they'd had to slide the seat forward to squeeze the bigger mobster in the back. He watched Terrian disappear through the garage door back into the house, then reappear buttoning on his favorite jacket. Again, Alpha didn't need to inquire telepathically to understand that Terrian had the Mage Masher stashed inside the inner pocket. "All dressed up," he said as he buckled into the driver's seat. "Nice day with the aristocracy. Maybe they'll invite us to tea. You like tea, Alpha? Probably more than I do." "In Italy they prefer wine," Alpha said. "Perhaps if I go to pick up Sanskrit or Mandarin..." "Oh man, India, China?" Terrian pulled out of the garage. "Well, sure, I guess you can go ahead. But I'll count it as a public service if I keep away from those parts. Overpopulated enough already." The car rolled down the driveway and out onto the neighborhood street. As they took off, Jonas and Rhys set into motion behind. It'd only take ten minutes or so for them to reach the heart of the city. Wouldn't be at all hard to find their way back to the Hotel Ansonia. Winstone's upscale district was conspicuously small. ISHKABIBBLE
