You can connect to the net with WPA2 on the DSi but you still can't use it in-game.

That fucking sucks...
I remember how Nintendo was saying way back that their DSes were compatible with all forms of WAP encryption... -.-'

I'm not sure if there are actually any more funny Pokemon jokes.
I have trouble believing in the existence of an observation about any aspect of the franchise that hasn't already been run into the ground.

it's not the content of a joke that matters, it's the presentation. i just like how charmander has a snifter of brandy.

Other than the generic blissey, 6-0 rape, and flinchax jokes, I haven't been able to see any ones that are anywhere close to decent in a long time now...

Sooo... I've gotten back into training a team.
Currently I have a team of things that I wouldn't normally use, and would like to test them out. Anyone still do some battling via wi-fi?

I have gotten back into it, as well, and wanna test out my team, too!

Well.. After I can get Backtrack 4 to do it's thing, then sure. Give me a day or two, though.
Single battle, OU, standard rules, I presume?

I use a mixture of UU and OU in my most recent team, actually.
However, yes, standard rules, OU tier most likely. I like Double Battles a lot more though... gives more of a challenge, I think. Single battles feels like you're switching in and out for Super Effectives/Resistances, which, is still fun in some respects, but not my favorite.
The team I am using now, does not have anything that I would normally use. I've limited myself to only one water type this time. Hehe.

That's okay, Gary/Blue was a dick anyway.
So I started Silver again. I'm back to crushing the Pokeathelon and I should be facing Morty whenever I pick it up again.

Well... Remember OU tier is OU and under so.... It's all good. Anyway, I've got a couple of theorymon teams that I've been wanting to test out, so... Once I get the chance to actually take the time and "recover" some networks, Imma be happy to fight against you and see what happens. And personally I prefer singles because there's a helluva lot more people in singles than doubles. That and damage calculations are not....weird, lol.
Ooh, nice, man. Have fun with it! And hey, once I get wireless, if you need help or w/e (idk if you do but if you do) then I'll be glad to give a hand
Edit: Oh, btw, lol. This is half-bragging, half not but... Had a really fun match a few weeks ago. I was using my crocune team and on accident I brought the wrong lead (I brought my suicide lead azelf instead of my lead 'dactyl). Then, later on in the match, I didn't predict a switch, so I ended up trading my azelf's scarf for specs. Then the dude thinks he's got everything (hasn't seen my whole team yet tho) and BPs ingrain to his gyara. Same turn, I switch to my Azelf again and end up getting him stuck on a specs'd waterfall (lmao, a lot of help that was), switching to my crocune, getting him set up with +6 on CMs and then sweeping the rest of his team. XDDD

Listening to that was like listening to someone talk about car parts. I understood only the gist of it. BPs and CMs I don't know what the hell they are.

I don't have specifics on what I use each time, and actually pride myself on doing something different each game. Lessee: Red: Blastoise, Clefairy, Mewtwo (I was ten, okay?), Dratini, and two I don't recall. Silver: Feraligatr, Chinchou, Weezing, Kabutops, Clefairy, Pidgeot Sapphire: Swampert, Pinsir, Castform, Altaria, Chinchou, Masquerain Pearl: Wormadam, Bastiodon, Drifblim, the grass starter, Carnivine, and something else. I wasn't partial to most of the gen. SS: Victreebell, Electrode, Kingler, Meowth, Vulpix, Ledian (tried to use Unown, but dang it sucks.)
So, jah. It gets very hard to come up with new parties to run through the game with because of my way of doing things, but it's a fun challenge. It really gives you a feel for a lot of different species.

@ Kuro: BP - baton pass; CM - calm mind Basically he passed on from a smeargle a condition that completely trapped his gyara from being roared away, I trapped him on one move and then used the situation to my advantage to give my suicune 6 calm minds and kill the rest of his team
@ Lee: Sometimes I do what you do, sometimes, I actually build teams. In this case, with the exception of me bringing the wrong lead, that team was built so that the 6 pokemon would have good synergy with each other. So, in this case, while replacing pokemon is quite possible and works (well... better on this team, than, let's say, my rhyperior team), depending on the situation, it might hurt the team as they are not all designed to work together. I don't always bother to go that far, though as it takes a lot of work to build a team.

I counter strategy with power. It's tough, but I do okay.

Single is fine, I would actually enjoy it. Once I fight certain people, I'll reveal what my team is, and maybe we can fine tune it a little bit. lol.
EDIT: My current Soul Silver team is--Kingdra, Togekiss, Pidgeot, Typhlosion, Dragonite, and Walrein. :3

Eh, the last team I used is Azelf, Magnezone, Vappy, Scizor, Cressy, and Dragonite.
That team was made before the garchomp ban to ubers, though...

Ooh, a sunny day team. Haven't seen one of those in quite a while now. This is truly exciting! Imma look over it in a few, but just from glancing over it, it looks like it might benefit from having a spinner on the team.
Well... Now that I know that there's someone who can do a real RMT here, I'll post one here some time.

If by not taking it seriously enough you mean "having a wife and job" then no, I don't take it seriously at all. If you mean digging through the metagame to figure out how to get TEH ULTIMIT POKEMANZ and devising strategies outside of "beat the shit out of this clown" then I guess I don't take it seriously that way either.

You're taking not taking it seriously pretty seriously. I think you could dial the defensive tone down a little.
