Pohatu DiscussionI know you all like Pohatu. Admit it. You have one of his quotes stuck in your head. Pohatu's charisma? Pohatu's wit? Pohatu's looks? All Pohatu discussion goes here.

I think there should be some more silly and creative ways to earn EP.
For instance, what if you scored the most recent post on all boards within a particular category? If you can screencap proof and upload it, you ought to get an EP bonus. Like, 12 EP for The Exodus and 8 EP for Entertainment, or something like that. (None for Exy Fun Time! or Inactive Forums though.)
I mean people could edit images of course but why would they when it would be easy to check the topics and see that they really did command a particular category at the given time.
Stuff like that, you know?

Actually, I've been trying to think of other ways for people to gain EP. Last I heard I was only here to patrol it though.
I do have a problem with this idea though. It'd be fairly easy for someone to go and post a simple thing, such as a letter, number, ect., then go back and change it all. It doesn't take long to post somn, I've ran into that 15 second rule countless times, so they could get it done pretty quickly, fire a screen shot off, then go back and change it so it's more than just pure spam.

Only the ones that would do that.
If you have any other ideas though, I'd like to hear them. As I said before, I'd like to have more ways to gain EP.

There should be an EP CHALLENGE contest or something.
Where someone does something silly and embarrasing for EP.

I suppose another thing could be EP gambling.
Such as betting on Mafia outcomes, or other contests. Like Twice as much gained for Mafia, 4 times as much gained for Innocent, or somn like that.....
Or placing a certain amount (up to, like 5 EP) up to gamble with like once every two weeks. Then, based on like the roll of a die or somn like that, you could either lose twice what you bet, just lose what you bet, no change, you get what you bet, or twice what you bet.

Mafia outcomes are no good for voting. Too easy to rig just via telling people "I'd like if you voted for this guy here."
But Post Race, on the other hand... That is RIPE for EP wagers.
And I'd say sure, add the following bonuses: 15 EP for posting in all of the RP forums with solid In Character Posts, and a useful post in the Discussion board 15 EP for hitting all overboards on the site with some kind of useful post. 5 EP for hitting all media discussion boards with useful posts.
It's much higher for RP because, typically, that's at least like a paragraph+ of writing, per board. What say the rest of you?

I could go for the Discussion Boards, but I'm not going to look through RPs just to see if it's a "solid" post. I'd have to read the entire RP to check and see if it was a fitting, and therefore a solid, RP Post
Now, if it was agreed that all RP Hosts would PM me, or post here that they thought a person's post deserved some EP, that would be ok.
But yeah.... We'd have to know exactly what qualifies as a "useful" post. And what's useful or not differs from person to person. So, for the most part I don't like this.

I like the idea of wagering EP. Like for example:
I'll bet anyone 25 EP that Lee does not post in the RP tomorrow.

This is also known as "bribing" because Lee will now accept this and post in an RP tomorrow.

Yeah, you're right, Blood. And now I will bet Lee 10 EP that he is not going to post in Ulima within twenty-four hours of this post. I will also bet him 10 EP that he is not going to post in Emet within twenty-four hours of this post.

I think trading/bribing/betting/giving EP should be fine.

As long as I've been notified of it, I don't care. Also, as long as it doesn't get out of hand.

I'm going to give this a few more days for new ideas. Hopefully by Saturday night I'll have the any new editions to the list up,
Another one, that Prime mentioned to me, was double EP for posting in a new RP board. (He mentioned APCARP and Tyr came up as well. I'm not sure how new you all consider APCARP, so as to double EP for that because it's "new" I don't know. Though I could see doing double to help increase the posts in it. Anyone else want to lend their opinion here?)

Loogs brought this up awhile back, and again in her own contest. I concur that people that host contests should get EP for that contest.
I'll have to think on the payment per length thing, especially for an ongoing thing like with what Loogs' is now doing, but I do feel that contest hosts should get paid.
Any suggestion for the payment?
