Almost as much of a bummer as your taste in webcomics.

Aw, you're just all hurt 'cuz I don't like xkcd. Obviously I'm too much of a philistine to appreciate the crappy -- I mean minimalist -- art and obscure -- I mean intellectual jokes!

Nah. xkcd doesn't put out like it used to. Still amusing, but he's running out of things to say.
But calling xkcd obscure means that Dresden Codak is random nonsense. Seeing as you're not man enough to post your list of webcomics, I can't really tear apart your taste.
Spoiler Warning: I have something to say about all the comics that I do read so when you post your list, I will have a good time. =3

Well, you know that I didn't like the Hob storyline but you also know I love Dresden Codak's single strips.

I would say that XKCD gets its ass handed to it by Irregular Webcomic when it comes to about 80% of the "Obscure (Beyond HS Level) Science/Math Jokes". Sure, niche humor is great and all, but IW does something brilliant. It has author's notes, explaining the concepts joked about, beneath strips that reference the concept. So it's not "Read, then blind wikipedia for hopeful clues", it's "Read, and if you don't get it, DMM teaches you a lesson."
It really is quite handy, especially for people such as myself who avoid Pre-Calc Plus levels of math. (Really, no point in Calc for an author/game designer. Any formulas and such needing calculus are way too complex for casual tabletop games, last I checked.)

Dude you should design a game where force of a blow over the area of said weapon determines how much damage is done, and force is calculated by multiplying mass of weapon and acceleration of weapon, which is calculated by differentiating the player's average speed.
Or something like that.
And I've decided to stop arguing with Potato on the grounds that he is a potato and I am not. Also, I am amused more often than he is.

Dude, you can't tell me you have a better sense of webcomic humor than I do because you liked the Hob storyline. It was not exactly a laff a minute.
I mean, if you want to drop the argument, sure, but I've enjoyed scuffling with you over this.

Pohatu, that last bit from Choobeh was basically, "I'm bored and you no longer provide entertainment, IE - Your argument no longer make any sense, nor challenge my mighty asian brain in any way. Excuse me while I go try to figure out hot chicks."

Oh man, Prime had a moment of insight. Yeah, I'm bored of this argument (at least the silly side, since I'm about to post srs reasoning). Also I'm making tea.
Hob wasn't laugh a minute, but it was still good and entertaining. See, my thing is, I have separate categories for good and entertaining. Dark Knight? Entertaining, but okay at best. 300? Very entertaining, but also not a very good movie.
Pulp Fiction? Entertaining and good. Memento? Real good, but not as entertaining as other stuff.
So I can be entertained by xkcd and Ctrl-Alt-Del, knowing full well that they're not the next Sandman.
Hob amused me because of the way Diaz looked at the technological singularity (though it took 4 read throughs to finally understand it.)
And after all those lulz, I can still enjoy and appreciate Rice Boy.

I have those pretty often, just most of the time I keep my mouth shut until I'm pissed off. I should learn to speak when I have something useful to say, instead of waiting until I'm in nuclear overload to 'clear the air' in a much more rude manner.
Though thankfully I haven't done that at all since I returned, besides some minor snippyness with Elliot, but thats mostly his regular PMS.

Oh ya, I also like'd Diaz's layout and panel experimentation with the Hob storyline. He kept the style the same, but changed up the presentation.

Sure, I'll give you that. Although creative layouts are a feature of Dresden Codak in general, not just the Hob storyline.

I have started my archive crawl of Gunnerkrigg Court. It went from pretty good to holy wow.
Funny story I read the first chapter like a year ago or some long time like that but never went on.
[EDIT] I ran out of comic D:
PS. i've also started reading Sorcery 101 and As We Were. They're mildly amusing.

I was going to run a week-long feature called Mister Pohatufan1's Webcomic of the Day Week, but all I could think of to write was praise for Gunnerkrigg Court. So I changed the plan to Mister Pohatufan1's Webcomic of the Day Day. But now that Choobs has read it, I feel like there's no more point. Oh well.
