<Why couldn’t I save them?!> Sly bellowed in his telepathic voice. He needed to gain control over these new powerful emotions. It was the sight of Lee on the ground that helped him gain most of his composure. The others were standing around him as if not quite sure what to do. Sly pushed Onslow aside and knelt down by Lee.
Sly ignored the vomit and blood as he wiped off Lee's face. Producing another bottle of Phoenix Tears, Sly poured a few drops into the back of Lee’s mouth. His lip and hands healed but he continued to mumble to himself like some kind of madman. <He’s having some type of adverse reaction to the Mind Meld. Possibly trying to process too much information at once. Unless you know of something to do Ender, the only course of action I see is allowing the information to continue and hoping his cognitive abilities are capable of processing everything before he goes mad.>

"Ender," Prime said sharply, looking over at the man. "Do you think you could build a cage for the knowledge in his memories? It might only be a temporary fix, but at least for the moment it would save his mind from being overloaded by Sly's memories," he said quickly.

Looking around, Onslow had no clue as to what was taking place around him. Afraid to think, Onslow sat there mindlessly being jostled around, only seeming to get in the way of the otherworldly beings. <Don't think any thoughts, don't think any thoughts, don't think any thoughts... I could really go for some chicken ri.. NO! Stop, think nothing. Just stand here and look pretty. That's what I was told to do, so I'm going to do just that. I am not going to screw up this time... Ohhh shiny... must touch... NO, NO, NO! Ah what should I do...>

Ender wordlessly walked up to Zebedee and put his hand on his forehead. He closed his eyes and entered his friend's mind. He would act as a coach, an anchor, for Zebedee's conscious, to keep him from losing himself in the memories. He could also donate some of his own brain power to the man.
C'mon Zeb, just hang in there. The thoughts appeared in Zeb's mind, though it wasn't telepathy. Ender divided his mind. The mind meld was for Zeb and Sly, not for him, so he made sure he wouldn't remember a thing. The psionic shifted some of the thoughts into the physical realm, manifesting it in psionic energy, allowing it travel through his arm, processing it with his divided mind, then flowing it back into Zeb's memory banks.

Zebedee began to slowly stop trembling, and then stood back up once more, most of his injuries removed fairly easily by the joint effort. A few tears still ran down his cheeks, but the only blood still flowing was from his stigmata.
"Sorry about that... Just had an old wound reopened, you could say."

OOC: Your right Lee, when RPers look at Zeb, they're like. Puure oooman! Bad!
BIC: Prime looked at the three, sharing memories and revelations, and felt distinctly left out, but then he always had been. He shrugged it off and looked Lee over, the something suddenly smacked into his consciousness from the back of his mind. "Oh damn!" Prime said, walking toward Zebedee. "I forgot about these," he said, pulling four platinum plugs out of his pocket. "I made these for you a while ago. I thought they might help with your massive and unreasonable loss of blood. As far as I know, they won't impede the flow of holy energy. Just make you somewhat less pale-looking."

"Ah. Good. I don't really mind covering them most of the time, anyways, though it costs me a fortune in bandages," Zebedee said, quickly moving away from those uncomfortable memories. He quickly worked on setting them in place, making sure that they were sturdily secured.
"Nice. Even have hookups for the shield on either one. Thanks!" Zebedee tried his best to forget the thoughts that had poured into his mind so painfully.

Sly was glad that Zeb had managed to regain his thoughts and once again speak coherently. There was no hiding anything from Lee anymore; in time all of Sly’s thoughts, memories, and knowledge would manifest itself in Lee mind.
<Lee, Sly said in private thought-speak to Lee alone, <I trust you will keep certain things in my life a secret. It is not that I do not trust the others, but that my old life is of no importance anymore. Please do not let my trust in you be misplaced. In time you will fully poses all of my knowledge and I trust you are able to use it effectively.>
Sly stood and looked at the others then back at Lee. In open thought-speak he addressed Lee once more. <Have I proven myself?>

<You can rely on me.> Zebedee responded without moving his mouth. He paused momentarilly, and put a hand to his mouth. <That's odd. I could have sworn I just thought-spoke to you.> He turned, and looked to Sly.
"I think that I may have assumed a bit more of Sly than I was expecting..." Zebedee muttered, a somewhat uncertain tone in his voice. He looked at the rest of the group, and nodded. "This is definitely him. I don't know why he's back, and neither does he, as far as I can tell."
OOC: I'm thinking that this'll be more like a private mental link between the two than full-fledged thought-speak ability.

Sly was surprised when he heard Zeb's voice in his head. In all accounts of successful Mind Melds he had never heard of an ability being transferred. It could be a side effect from Mind Melding with a different species, or perhaps their meld had gone beyond what was normal. Perhaps it not only revealed and melded their minds but also their energy, their spirits. Sly would have to study this mental link that he and Zeb had now formed. In time it would hopefully prove to be a useful tool.
The Andalite thought for a moment. He was searching through Zeb's more recent memories, trying to avoid anything personal. It was his son, Rick, which he was searching for in Zeb's memories. Finally he discovered what he was looking for. The image was like looking at a still photo. Rick was standing next to a see-through representation of Sly, a hologram. Near them was a machine that had once contained Rick’s true Black Mage power. That meant Rick had found Sly’s Phric Delest or as humans would describe it – a journal.
<Hopefully when I ascended I still continued to keep my thoughts logged in my Phric Delest. We will need to travel to Shin-Ra and hope that Rick still has the device. It should bring me back up to speed on the rest of my memories.> Sly said as he accessed one of the computer terminals in the lab. It brought up a list of every object in his lab currently. It was written in Andanese and the others, except possibly Lee, would have trouble deciphering what the markings meant.
<It would appear that there are no teleport watches in my inventory. I will have to make more later. Until then we will need someone to transport us to Shin-Ra.>

"Me please!" Prime said, stepping forward to grab Onslow by the shoulder, and then placing a hand on Sly's as well. "You have the feather, and you remember where it is Zebedee, so I'll leave you to your own devices," Prime said, and with a sudden, uncomfortable twist, Sly, Prime, and Onslow were standing outside of Shin-Ra. "Your son is probably still in that town of stuck-up mages, but I think what you need is here isn't it?" Prime asked.

Sly looked up at the beautiful buildings of Shin-Ra with his stalk-eyes. They were carved from stone not by hand, but by magic. Designs so intricate no normal human could ever be able to recreate them. There were fountains as well with flowing water so clear and pristine that to drink from them would lessen their beauty. Some of the mages had stopped to gawk for a moment at these newcomers but few seemed to worry. The mages recognized a few of Sly's group and nodded to them.
<I suggest we split up and look for him. Ender and Onslow, you two take the marketplace; it’s big, so make sure you look carefully. Lee, Prime, and myself are going to search the edge of town and see what we can find. If you can’t find him, don't hesitate to ask around.> Sly, Lee, and Prime set off down the road. As they walked Sly looked over at Lee with a stalk-eye. <Are you feeling any more aftereffects of the Meld?>

Ender appeared a millisecond or so after the others had appeared. He looked up at the buildings, remembering the last time he was there. He really wasn't such a fan of coming back to mingle with the locals.
"Aye aye," he muttered, then grabbed Onslow and teleported to the marketplace. His vision swirled a bit from teleporting again after the long distance 'port he just did, but the psionic quickly popped an aspirin in his mouth and everything came back.
Ender observed the busy marketplace, mages dressed in their various robes wandering around buying and selling. "I'm guessing in a place full of mages, everyone'll have strong mental barriers, so I wouldn't be able to single out Rick's..." he mumbled to no one in particular.
"Well, Onslow, looks like we're doing this the old fashioned way."

OOC: The characters name is Onslow not Ocelot Prime and Bulbs, thank you Choobeh for getting it correct ^^.
BIC: Things had just happened so fast. First Onslow was in a laboratory, then one of his new masters had touched him and he was somehow transported to this town, then he had been touched again and sent to some type of market. Confused, Onslow figured to himself that he had better simply follow the orders given to him, so as to not screw anything up.
"So, what does this 'Rick' guy look like? Knowing his appearance will obviously help us to locate him faster. Oh, and, should I be ready for a fight? These here boys look pretty dangerous if you ask me, but I figure I could give 'em a lickin' if need be," Onslow muttered to Ender as he fingered the grip of his left battle axe lightly.

Zebedee focused, recalling the location of the forbidden city of the mages. There was the roar of rushing wind as he appeared roughly twenty feet above the ground of the city of Shin-Ra. Wind, powerful enough to almost be visible to the naked eye, encircled the holy warrior as he descended from the skies at a leisurely pace. He lightly landed on the ground, and dismissed his aura. In a city of magic, his holy energy would be like a charge of high explosives.
"Well, actually, I'm fairly sure that the cage that Ender whipped up should have been enough. I think. I keep feeling these weird... sensations in my mind. I think that I may have somehow gained some sort of empath ability pertaining to you," Zebedee said, rubbing at the stubble on his chin.
OOC: Sorry. Forgot that it was my turn.

OOC - Lets get this rolling again.
BIC - <There are too many variables to try and explain why the Meld permanently linked us. Most likely it has something to do with the fact you are not a normal human. It could even pertain to you and I being from different dimensions than this one. After things quiet down again we’ll have to test this link. How far does it ‘stretch’ and such. I wonder if it will go stronger as time passes allowing us to share entire thoughts and possibly even allowing us to think as one mind.> Sly said as they made their way to the edge of the city.
<Strange, I know Rick can sense people's auras. He should have recognized yours and mine right away.> Sly's stalk-eyes peered around cautiously, his ability to see farther into the spectrum of light gave him a better advantage of noticing something out of the ordinary than the others.

Two dark eyes watched the marketplace. The smell of flesh, of fresh meat, was strong. Saliva dripped from the creature’s mouth as it pawed at the edge of the roof, waiting for the right moment to strike. Several more waited behind him; they would wait till their pack leader attacked and then as one they would devour the populace.

"Well, hmmm... I really don't know how this will act, what with the magical aura around here and all, but I've got an idea. Haven't done this for years... Not since I walked the Final Distance with Epsilon and Yuni, but I think I MAY be able to block certain wavelengths of light coming through parts of the sky. I could write a message up there for him in the sky, and have an arrow or something pointing to us," Zebedee said, rubbing his chin.
"It isn't like him not to greet us, but it is possible this place has changed his senses somehow, or is blocking them. As far as I understand, they have enchantments laid down all over the place to regulate people's behaviors and prevent trouble."

Prime felt a slowly growing disturbance on the air, as if the thousand eyes of the local population weren't the only ones watching him. He was starting to get nervous, a bit twitchy. It wasn't like him, but then again, this place brought back bad memories of when he was truly nothing, with only a gun and his own courage. That had been a rough time for him, even if he'd refused to show it. "Screw this," Prime said flatly. "Don't have time for it." A flash of azure light found him standing in front of Sly and Zebedee. "Cover your eyes, I'm tired of searching," Prime said flatly. "And I feel my skin crawling, it's getting on my nerves."
Prime moved fluidly into a straight stance, arms by his sides, and uniformly began emitting power from his body. Slowly the wind picked up, power lashing out randomly toward the sky. Prime's eyes and then entire body glowed, and the energies lifted him into the air. He took a great breath, then exhaled it sharply, crying out in a voice that carried over the entire city. "RICK, YOU BASTARD, STOP MAKING US SEARCH GOD DAMN IT!"

Ender was about to explain to Onslow what Rick should look like, but was distracted by the booming voice of Prime.
"Tactless..." he muttered.
Suddenly, something seemed to nag at the psionic. Ender recognized what would've been a premonition if his psionic implant were still in his head. Now, overwhelming danger only presented itself as an uncomfortable feeling rather than flashes of the future.
<Be on your guard,> Ender spoke into Onslow's head. He pushed his shades farther up his nose.

Purple blood gushed from Sly’s ears as he clutched them in pain. His body contorted and the familiar sound of bones and muscles rearranging filled the air. The blood flow trickled to a stop as his ears grew smaller and rounder. The deer part of his body shrank like an accordion as his front and back legs merged into a single pair. Clothes formed over his body and the process continued a few more seconds until a brown-haired, green-eyed human stood where Sly had been. He wore a plain white shirt and blue jeans; at his side was a scabbard but it had no sword.
Sly wiped the blood off of his now-human hands and looked at Prime. “You should really be more careful on how you choose to flaunt your power. Just because you have it doesn’t mean you need to use it for everything.” Sly tried not to sound insulting. It wasn’t Prime's fault that he didn’t know how sensitive Andalite ears were to sound. But just because he had these powers didn’t mean that he had to use them to try and fix everything.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Most of the mages in the marketplace were still looking off in the direction of the booming voice that had filled the city moments ago. The creatures used this momentary distraction as their chance. The pack leader leapt down from the roof and onto a Red Mage was just happening by. The beast bit into her face and dug its claws deep into her body. Someone screamed as the creature beast snapped the mages neck, killing her. Swirling red vapors lifted into the air, vapors that only mages could see. It was magic emanating from the girl's corpse and the beast was absorbing it into his body. Several more of the beasts leapt down from the rooftop and surged out into the crowd of people.

Dente looked on as his creatures ravaged the mages. His face twisted into a maniacal grin as he watched one after the other fall to the ferocious strength of the beasts he had unleashed. He moved forward and raised one of his arms: six ghost-like chains darted forth from his fingers and from the palm of his hand. The chains wrapped tightly around a fleeing mage and lifted her into the air. Dente drew her toward him and began to tighten the chains.
The mage struggled against the chains as they began to crush her body. She let out a high-pitched scream as her arms, which were bound at her side, both broke. Dente released two of the chains and wrapped them around her feet. He held her in the air for a few seconds longer and listened to her screams of agony as the chains continued to tighten. Then, with one swift movement he tore her in two and let the mutilated corpse fall to the ground.
The brightly coloured magic essence that flowed from the mage's body followed the chains as they flowed back into Dente's hand. The mage absorbed the energy which his body quickly defiled, turning it dark and mixing it with his own.
"Kill them all." Dente's voice boomed into the minds of his monsters.

(OOC: um, way to describe the creatures guys. >.>)
Ender heard a feral growl soon after he warned Onslow. He didn't bother to turn to see what growled, he simply took one large step backwards and saw a wolf-like creature leap a few inches in front of him, landing heavily and not very gracefully. The creature quickly turned around, but before it could set itself up for another attack, Ender touched his fingers to its head, unleashing a torrent of raw psionic energy. The force of the attack blew the creature back a few feet, and before it could regain its wits, Ender drew his revolver and shot it in the eye with an explosive bullet.
A nearby mage was struggling to get a creature off his back, flinging spells around wildly, just adding even more to the ensuing chaos. Ender quickly took aim and fired another explosive shell. The bullets were filled with explosive chemicals, so they were designed for capacity, not for piercing. The bullet hit the creature in the side without puncturing the skin. The explosion not only knocked the thing off the man's back, but also caused the mage to hit the ground hard.
With no trace of sympathy for the man, Ender raised his hand and brought it sharply down, causing the creature's head to hit the ground, creating a small crater. He sprinted up to it and placed his foot on the thing's cranium and stomped down hard.

OOC- I will finish this topic and its sequel even if it’s the last thing I do!
BIC- Merchant tables and wagons were overturned as the frightened mages spilled out into the side streets. Many that fled were either children or Elders - those who were not strong enough to defend themselves. Several Red Mages stayed in the market place as well as a few White Mages and a single Green Mage. The Green Mage was tall and slender, with bronze skin and a tangled mat of think black hair. Long bony hands emerged from the sleeves of his green cloak as he focused his mind on growing trees to block the demonic wolves from pursuing their prey.
There were three White Mages; the shortest of them was just over six foot. They all held large battle hammers and had positioned themselves near the entrances that the creatures were endlessly spilling out of. With wide, crushing swings they took out as many creatures as they could but would soon become overwhelmed. The Red Mages were more numerous. Many of them were protecting the Green Mage, buying him as much time as they could. The rest were fighting in groups of three and four.
The Mages found out quickly that the creatures not only absorbed the magic from those they kill but also any magical attack merely absorbed into the creature making it stronger. The mages would have to resort to weapons.
Dente stood on the roof top, his chains reaching out to what mages were still within his grasp. “Leave now or die,” growled a voice from behind him. It was a young man with shaggy blue hair. He had on a long-sleeved black shirt and blue jeans; compared to what the other mages were wearing he was very out of place. The weapon he held was a polearm with six blades affixed at one end. His green eyes stared unblinkingly ready for whatever Dente might decide.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Sly was about to say something when a low growl behind them caught his attention. They turned and looked for the source. The creature they saw stood on four legs and was just over four feet tall. Most of its body resembled a wolf though its back showed signs of a curvature that was common of a riding animal. Its eyes were as black as its fur and the long snout opened into a jaw full of jagged teeth. Several more of these demonic hounds were now emerging from the alleys and from the rooftops. Sly’s body shifted shapes as quickly as he could, though in the process several of the creatures leapt the group.
One of the hounds bit down onto Sly's still-reforming neck. He concentrated on only morphing his tail as the beast began to drag Sly's awkwardly-shaped body toward a larger group of hounds. Sly's ears hadn’t formed yet so he couldn’t hear the sound of flesh ripping as his tail-blade gutted into the creature. The Andalite pulled himself up as he finished morphing and began impaling and decapitating any creature that came near him. <These creatures seem to be coming from the marketplace. I think it would be best to fight our way there!>
OOC-… There choobs… a more accurate description of the creature. Happy? *waits for choobs remark that will probably be so witty that it goes over his head.*

OOC: Yes.
BIC: Ender sprinted up to a group of fighting red mages. Without any warning, he roundhouse kicked one of them in the side, knocking him down. The other two stared at him and were about to ready spells, when one of the creatures came crashing down in the place where the mage just was. Before it landed, however, Ender caught it barehanded in the throat and proceded to slam it on its back into the ground. A surge of psionic energy forced its way out of Ender's holding arm and blew up the creature's brain, shortly after stopping its heart.
Ender stumbled, but quickly regained his composure. He nodded to the other mages, who were unsure of his alliance until now, then popped an aspirin into his mouth.
<Sly, we've got a situation.>

Zebedee clenched his teeth, trying to suppress his aura. One of the lupine beasts charged him, only to receive a diamond blade across its throat. Zebedee stepped around the beast in its death-throes, and focused a burst of kinetic energy behind his racquet. With the force of a crashing wave, he cut through another creature, this one's blood spattering him. Zebedee looked towards the market square, and set his jaw. Up until this point, he had only been fighting the occasional beast that had chosen to come after him... But now, there was a surge of the creatures, a living wave, approaching him at over forty miles per hour. He formed a blade of holy energy on his left wrist and dismissed his racquet. It was time to dance.
