Scrap Heap always counts. Always. Don't listen to those nutters like Photu and Loogs. Scrap Heap always counts and is the best place on the Exodus. Always.

It's a place where you can go to to talk about anything...what's not to love?
And it's not just here either. The other forums which I had been in, the random boards were my favorite places to visit.

Ah, but the Scrap Heap is still the best. However, I'll agree that the versions of the Scrap Heap on other boards were always my favorite place to be.
I remember one place the place was titled "Little Cans of Spam". Myself and this other guy were moderators, and he got pissed off because I created huge quote pyramids in it. I love, and miss, making those. I should find a way around the quote limit here.

I'm sure there's still some loophole somewhere that allows you to do those.

Welcome back
And I think they found a way to do it, but it's much more complex than it should be. Or at least than I liked, but who knows.

"November – Mary Toft allegedly gives birth to 16 rabbits in England; the story is later revealed to be a hoax."
So glad I looked up this year on Wiki... How Mr. Rabbit came to be. Haha.

in 1727 An old woman known as Janet (Jenny) Horne of Loth, Sutherland, becomes the last alleged witch in the British Isles to be executed when she is burned at the stake in Dornoch, Scotland. (Some sources give the date as June 1722.)
Wikipedia works miracles when looking for interesting stuff.

So is the scrap rp ever going to pick back up again? Since everyone seems to think the scrap heap is the best place ever i'll be rather disappointed if it doesn't.

It was...and then people simply stopped coming. Hell, I'm one of those.
Or hell, if you can coax everyone in this thread to only post if they have something in addition to just a fucking number, I'll be happy...not likely, though.

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
1735 MDCCXXXV Pretty decent year to bring things back - not a lot of HUGE events, but it's no 879. John Adams, 2nd President of these United States, is born, as is Paul Revere. Pluto (not known at this time) enters a fourteen year period inside the orbit of Neptune, which will not recur until 1979. Freedom of the press: New York Weekly Journal writer John Peter Zenger is not acquitted of seditious libel against the royal governor of New York, on the basis that what he published was true. I gotta admit, I liked the numbers before the 1700s a lot more - mostly because prior to, y'know, fucking CIVILIZATION, there were a lot more wars, coups, takeovers, and beheadings. Ah, but there was a war! The Russo-Turkish War, 1735-1739: Russian forces fail to occupy the Crimea due to rasputitsa (translated: sea of mud), a biannual season in Russia where unpaved roads become impossible to travel. Once again we discover that Russia need never send its soldiers into battle in defense of their land - the land can defend itself. Carolus Linnaeus publishes the first edition of Systema Naturae, setting the groundwork for the science that would become known as zoological nomenclature. Leonhard Euler solves the Basel problem, first posed by Pietro Mengoli in 1644, and the Seven Bridges of Königsberg problem. Both problems were significant achievements for Euler, but I looked at both ( here and here) and realized that this is why I hate math - obviously the Seven Bridges problem has no solution; it takes literally five seconds to figure it out. But it didn't have a "no solution" until Euler proved it had "no solution". The problem was literally unsolved until then. Because fuck you, math. And finally... Mothafuckin' COBALT is discovered up in this BITCH

1737 (this is the real one)
You people screwed up the numbers again.
May 28 – The planet Venus passes in front of Mercury. The event is witnessed during the evening hours by the amateur astronomer John Bevis at the Royal Greenwich Observatory. As of 2006, it is still the only such planet/planet occultation that has been directly observed.

Yes, yes, we all appreciate the math lesson Blood, honestly I figured that out right after I posted last time, but I was too proud not to stand by my answer.
