"We've got a customer baby." a sweet female voice chimed from a doorway hidden by a wall of black cloth.
"Alright, send them in." a hollow male voice answered back as if the person speaking had just woken from a long nights sleep.
The black drapings were pulled aside and a red headed woman wearing a tan dress suit entered the room. She seemed a bit taken aback by the large amount of black cloth covering the walls and the dark russet colored bed and chairs that were strewn around the room. From behind the red head came a pale woman that better fit the surroundings. She was dressed in wide legged black pants that were tightly sinched around her waist with a white leather belt. A white a-style shirt mostly covered her torso, leaving her arms bare and showed a bit of cleavage. Her hair was naturally a dark chocolate brown but had been hightlighted at the front in blonde that swept over her right eye. Her mane looked very unkempted but was painstakingly styled.
"Please, take a seat and we'll be with you shortly." the emo looking woman said as she crossed the room and slipped behind another black cloth into a hidden room.
The business woman did as she was told and took a seat in a chair made of the same dark wood as before and bearing a green seat cushion. After a few tense moments the emo woman reentered the room and took a seat across from the red head.
"Alright Angie, my name is Chloe and I just need to get some information from you. First off, our service is designed for nothing but releasing some sort of inner pain that is not easily dealt with. Once the process begins, it cannot be stopped. If at any time during the process you see something disturbing and extend the process it will be an extra charge. Now, tell me what the problem is." Chloe said as she quickly flipped throught some paperwork and checked off things as he said them.
"Well...It's a bit difficult to talk about..." Angie squeezed out with what appeared to be a big strain.
"That doesn't matter sweetheart. I need the truth so that we can prepare for the treatment." Chloe sang out sweetly, placing a reassuring hand on Angie's knee.
"Alright...my boyfriend...my ex boyfriend was abusive, both physically and mentally. I just managed to get up the strength to get him put into jail and I've been trying to deal with all of this alone and I just can't do it. It's driven me to hurting myself and I've honestly thought about killing myself..." Angie trailed off in tears.
"Alright. Calm yourself down a bit and I'll be back with my baby." Chloe said softly as she handed Angie a small packet of tissue and went back behind the cloth.
Angie took a few deep breaths and whipped away some of the wetness from her cheeks. A few strands of hair feel into her eyes and took away her sight for a few moments. As Angie pulled the locks of hair from her bright red eyes she noticed that Chloe had returned with a man that was at least a foot taller than her. The man was clad in pants similar to what Chloe wore but he wore a green belt. A tight black tee shirt covered his chest and oddly enough he wore a pair of green and black striped gloves that flowed up under the sleeves of his shirt. The man had hair much like his girlfriend except it was pitch black and covered his left eye. The man's lids were red and heavy, much like someone who had been up for several days but his grey pupils were quite aware. A single lip piercing clung brightly to his lower lip on the right.
"Angie, my name is Marcus. I will be doing your treatment today." the man said in his nearly robotic tone.
Marcus crossed the room and sat in the chair across from Angie. His eyes locked on hers and they seemed to share a silent conversation and then Marcus began to pull off his gloves. His pale skin was slowly revealed and it seemed to glow in the dim light of the room. Marcus tossed his gloves aside and held out his right hand towards Angie. Angie didn't respond quickly, instead holding her hands together in her lap.
"The only way that I can help you is if you trust me and take my hand." Marcus stated as he pushed his hand out a bit farther.
Angie let out another single tear and slowly pushed out her hand an took Marcus' but was unprepared for what happened. The second that the two's hands touched an instant connection was made. Every painful thought and impulse was instantly whipped away from Angies mind and seemed to flow into Marcus like a stream of pure agony. Angie seemed to be watching the moment from outside of herself as a set of bright red cuts appeared on Marcus' wrists and his right eye blackened in a nasty bruise. Marcus' head fell back and an unexpected smile formed on his face as his hand went limp and fell into his lap, leaving Angie amazed and suprisingly peaceful.
"That wasn't so painful, was it?" Chloe asked his her ever so chipper voice as she came up to Marcus and placed a loving hand on his chest.
"But...how?...I mean, first thing I know is that I take his hand and now he has all of these injuries that I had and I'm perfectly fine?" Angie asked quickly as she pulled up her sleeves to show that the wounds that she had only mentioned before were now gone.
"That's the beauty of Marcus. He is basically a personal martyr. He has the power to take all of your troubled thoughts and physical injuries and pull them into himself. You could have had a thousand cuts all over your body and Marcus could easily take them away. There isn't much risk for him because he has an exclerated ability to heal. At this moment he's already fully healed. As for the emotional stuff, he hasn't honestly felt an emotion of his own for nearly six and a half years. It also helps that he can feel strong emotions from a decent distance away." Chloe responed very matter-of-factly as she pulled Marcus' gloves back on and took his hand as she knelt next to him and put her head in his lap.
"He has no emotions of his own, so he took all of my bad ones?" Angie asked as he jaw hit the floor, watching with caution as Marcus raised his head.
"I'd rather feel pain than nothing at all." Marcus whispered in a near blissful voice.
"How can I ever repay you? What do I owe?" Angie whispered as well as she rose to her feet.
"Donate the money you were going to give us to charity and tell your family that you love them. We don't want anything but that." Chloe said as she rose to show the awe struck Angie the way back out.

In a nearby park dusk was setting in. People were still gathered around picnic areas and basketball courts enjoying the crisp, unseasonable air. Long shadows danced across the ground with every movement that the groups made, making an almost television like scene. From a nearby alley a man in an interesting suit appeared with a loping gate. His suit was a deep crimson in color and his hair was unkempt and knotted. He strode silently up to the largest group of people and jumped up onto a picnic table.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, my name is Koji and I would like to entertain you this evening with a bit of magic. All I need is an assistant." Koji announced as he made a flourish towards the crowd.
Koji flicked his eyes from side to side and randomly picked a young woman from the crowd. She smile and laughed to her friends and then joined the oddly dressed Koji on the picnic table. Koji pulled his right hand into his sleeve and smiled at the crowd before him as he waved his left towards the girl.
"Now, I will do the unthinkable and make this young womans head disappear!" Koji shouted as what appeared to be a triangle shaped barrel came out of his arm and fired a single beam of red energy, removing the girls head and spraying the crowd with her blood and head remains.
"TA DA!! I'll be preforming all night!" Koji shouted as he began firing randomly into the crowd, killing anyone that the beam can into contact with.

Marcus' head snapped to attention as he looked out to the west. Chloe looked at his with curious eyes and crossed over to him in a few strides, taking a seat on his lap. Marcus thought for a few seconds and frowned a bit.
"Angie still hasn't worn off you, you're frowning. What's wrong?" Chloe asked as she pressed her head into Marcus' shoulder.
"Fear. Horrible amounts of fear. People are dying nearby. We've got to go." Marcus whispered as he stood up but took Chloe's left hand with his gloved right.
"Looks like we've got a fight on our hands. Maybe I'll get to do something for once." Chloe chimed in cheerfully as she was pulled out the door by Marcus.
