Note: This adventure shall involve all pokeschool vets who are interested, with their characters who're most familiar with my own - Kara, Serpentei, and Sagami. Time to do some serious RPing again like the old days. And the unknown past of Serpentei will be brought to light in this, much to the suprise and trouble of his beloved Kara. Ohhh yeah... let's get this baby started...
Kara had been visiting her cousin Sagami in the hospital, along with her daughter Ayane and her beloved husband Serpentei. It'd been rough the past two days for poor Sagami, having been admitted with serious heart trouble. It was discovered that he'd need open-heart surgery to repair what was wrong, and this scared the crap out of the young Nintaku. While he was under intense observation until the day of the surgery (hooked up to heart monitoring devices), Sagami could use all the comfort he could get. So, Kara had been reminiscing with him about the old days when they'd been through all sorts of trouble and of all the interesting friends they'd made (well, Kara anyways; most of her friends barely knew Sagami that much). This made Kara a little sad, for she'd lost touch with so many of her friends over time. It was rather depressing, and certainly not something to help Sagami in his time of need. Then Serpentei got an idea that made things not seem so bad - why not look through the phonebook and try calling up their friends? Kara wasn't too sure about this, but at least it made Sagami perk up. After going home to fetch the book, Serpentei soon returned and helped his dear wife look up all their friends' numbers - Sagami pointing out the names of folks that he knew. Most of the time, Kara kept on getting people's answering machines and had to leave a message. Letting them know about Sagami's poor health wasn't so great, but it would prompt their friends to reconnect with them. Heck, it would be nice if it brought about a sort of mini re-union perhaps.
Meanwhile, in an unknown part of Viridian Forest, a strange sort of portal briefly materialized amid the trees and deposited a young man out of it. He had long unkempt hair, which was sky blue, for he was actually a Nintaku. His clothes were a bit ragged as well, denoting a life spent in constant struggle and travelling from place to place. Taking out a scroll from somewhere on his person, the man unrolled it and began reading what it contained. With a sort of annoyed sigh, he returned the scroll to its hiding place and then busied himself with checking on his gear. He drew forth a katana-like blade and admired its eerie red-tinged steel edge for a few moments. Flashing a creepy sort of grin, he chuckled and commented to himself...
"Not long now, Shinzohkatta, until I can plunge you within the heart of the last member of the Kinkaryoh clan... and fully exact my family's revenge. Heh heh. It'll be such fun to feel that heart beating against your blade until it beats no more - then I can cut it out and bring it home with me. It may be insane going after a Kihenshin Warrior, but I must have vengeance. You may no longer have a body and be cursed to live on as a sword, but surely this is something you can understand. After all, it was one of those damn Kinkaryoh bastards who made you end up this way. Now... we must make haste and find somewhere to look for information on tracking down our prey."
Returning the 'sword' to its sheath, he smiled when he remembered seeing the red glow that shone in the garnet crystal it bore. Being reminded of how it came to be a sword was infuriating to Shinzohkatta, and the crystal it had for a heart was its only way of displaying its rage. Like the stranger who possessed it, the sword was longing to pierce the heart of their target... and once more live up to its vile name ('heart-cutter').

OOC: I know I'm not really considered a vet but Aurora RP'd with Kara quite a few times. So yeahh..
Aurora sighed as he dropped himself into the plush chair in front on his fire place. He had a long day; he had found two families at each others throats and spent the day negotiating for them. At least now they tolerated each other instead of killing each other.
The adept picked up a remote on the arm of the chair and pushed a button turning on his television, and flipping it to the right channel Aurora put some decent music on to help him relax.
"You have messages, you know?" A female voice called from behind him, prompting him to look over his shoulder.
"I didn't know you were here," Aurora replied to his mother, Kuri. He hopped from the chair and glided over to his phone, pressing the playback button. Listening to the message quickly he frowned as he heard the news about Sagami.
"That's Kara, looks like I'm off," Aurora explained, before blinking out of existence appearing outside of the hospital. He headed inside asking at the desk for directions to the right room before heading there himself. Finding the right door he knocked politely before entering.
Aurora smiled as he saw Kara, "Hey, it's been along time," he greeted.
OOC - Fixed, dunno what the hell happened there. Library comps might be messing with it. Hope thats all.

Thud thud thud. Kuro loved that noise; the sound his boots made on the floor in the hallway. It was a somewhat intimidating sound he thought. Looking at a sign, he quickly verified he was heading the right way. He rounded a corner, walked halfway down the next corridor and made a sharp turn into the room he was looking for.
"Didja miss me?" Kuro asked Kara with a slight grin. He looked over to Kara's husband and daughter and waved. He also gave a quick hello to Aurora and then he looked over at the bed and noticed the person who must be Sagami. He fumbled around the inside of his coat until he found what he was looking for. "I dunno if you like flowers or not, but I got you some Tiger lilies," Kuro said handing them to Sagami. On top of the flowers was a small card with a crudely drawn smiley face saying "Hope you get better soon."
"I'm sure you'll be fine; the technology available today is amazing," he said with a reassuring smile.

Kara was surprised to see Aurora show up, and even more so when Kuro appeared not long afterwards. Not her closest friends, but friends nonetheless and certainly welcome. Sagami was pleased to see that Aurora came, since he'd met him before. It was a little awkward when Kuro offered the flowers, since that was somewhat the sort of thing you'd give a girl more than a guy, but Sagami wisely kept his mouth shut.
Rising up from her seat beside the bed, Kara went to greet her friends.
"Aurora... and Kuro! What a pleasure that you both could come. I do hope that it's not interfering with any plans of yours. It's just, well, with this mess and all, it's been hard on us - and especially poor Sagami."

Sly was deep in thought as he trotted up the steps of the long abandoned TR Headquarters, located deep within the Viridian Forest. At one time he had been the lead scientist here in charge of all new advancements in technology and magic. Long ago were those days when he craved power and been corrupted by pride. Now, like today, he would visit this base periodically to run diagnostic programs on the security system and ensure that no one ever stumbled upon it or its dark secrets ever again. This was his punishment for the atrocities he had committed during the war.
Today had been particularly hard for Sly. He had sat in front of a terminal and went through the personnel files one by one placing danger levels on them. The new security system he had programmed and installed implemented three different levels of danger. Level Ones were reformed soldiers/scientists of TR and the system was set to play a message from Sly telling them to turn back or, if they persisted, merely detain them until Sly arrived.
The next level up was filled with those whom the andalite was unsure if they had completely reformed from their old ways. Base protocols were set to detain these individuals at any cost. Finally the third level individuals were those who had continued their dark dealings in the shadows and never did renounce the evil that TR had been. The security system was set to kill these people on sight. This had been the hardest for him; many of the people who had been placed in Level Three had been his friends. But they were dangerous and Sly couldn’t let another war ravage this planet.
Sly reached the top of the stairs and opened the door out into the Viridian Forest. All of the entrances and exits had been sealed by Sly and he had created this one for himself. This entrance was expertly hidden to look like a large boulder sticking out of the ground. It took his alien handprint to open and had several different security features to ensure that it was never discovered. The andalite was about to teleport home when he heard someone talking not to far away.
Sly was silent as he placed each hoof quietly on the ground, slowly making his way in the direction of the voice. It appeared to be a young man with blue hair about a hundred yards away. He was talking to his sword about a murder he was going to commit. Sly looked down at his watch and back up in the direction of the young man. This was going to be a long day.

OOC: Cue crappy introduction!
IC: SwingBlade, godlike planeswalker, immortal protector of the Earth realm, shook his head at the mundaneness of his most recent endeavor. He had the ability to change the rotation of the planet, indeed its very position in the solar system, yet here he was bringing in manhandled thugs from a robbery attempt he thwarted. The police were waiting there for his dropoff. He shook hands, accepted hollow words of gratitude, and went on his way. He felt a waste, not having had an epic, multiverse-level threat to deal with in years. As he walked, he let his mind expand out. His consciousness touched all those within range, and his presence balmed them, soothed the pains and fears they faced. As he went, he felt a familiar presence. He teleported, and ended up right beside Kara.
"Whoa," he said, "long time no see."

(OOC: Sorry for the lame-o delay! I'm back, and revving up for this story to kick it into high gear soon. I sure hope more 'vets' join us.)
Sensing the presence of SwingBlade suddenly appear behind her, Kara smiled. It certainly had been a long time since she'd seen him last. Turning around to face the mighty planeswalker, she greeted him warmly.
"I didn't expect you to come, but I'm delighted nonetheless. As you can see, my cousin is here in the hospital to be monitored for a while. He unfortunately is going to have open-heart surgery in a few days, and both I and Serpentei have been staying here to keep his spirits up. I also went and contacted as many of our old friends as I could to have them visit, and so far only two have shown. It's great to see you again, and is it my imagination, or have you changed a bit?"
Noticing out of the corner of her eye that Aurora had left the room, Kara didn't worry... she knew that something must have come up that he needed to deal with elsewhere. Just the joy of him showing up was nice. She wondered if Sagami noticed him leave, and briefly glanced at him to see if he was okay with Aurora's departure. Sagami didn't seem to have noticed him exit, and kept curiously (as well as nervously) looking at the monitoring devices that were behind and on either side of his bed. Her cousin had rarely ever needed to see a doctor, and for something this major to happen was both a wonder and a nightmare for him. To Kara, it was nothing new with all the times she'd been injured in battle or her scary ordeal with giving birth to her dear Ayane. There was at least one thing new that made Kara marvel... a special heart monitor composed of a large, high-definition computer screen that was displaying a fully detailed view of Sagami's beating heart. Pretty advanced technology. Then Kara felt a little embarassed that she'd let herself get distracted like this when in the middle of speaking to SwingBlade. Hopefully he didn't notice or care.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ragged-clothed Nintaku had just gotten to his feet, when suddenly a voice entered his mind... the eerie snake-like voice of Shinzohkatta...
"Be wary of your surroundings, Jiyuu, for I sense the presence of a powerful being nearby. I am unable to detect whether it be a threat or not, so I suggest that you hurry and try putting some distance between us and the stranger. And then we may seek out the information we're after... and find the last of the dreaded Kinkaryoh clan - to avenge me and your family!"
The young Nintaku looked around himself nervously, once he heard that he was not alone. Then he proceeded to silently make his way through the forest in search of civilization. In his mind, he gave an answer to the sword.
"Jiyuu Moeru is no fool... remember that. The only reason I did not try and scan my surroundings for threats, is that I'm still exhausted and a bit weak from my trip through the worldgate. Hopefully, if luck is on our side, it won't be long until I find an inhabited area and then someone who can aid us in finding our prey. Be patient, Shinzohkatta. After all, we don't have a time limit for seeking our vengeance and it is best done properly without any haste. No room for mistakes."
As he tried his best to quiet Shinzohkatta and retain his confidence in being able to succeed in his quest, Jiyuu was filled with joy as he neared the edge of the forest and gazed in wonder as the great Viridian City loomed into view. From his location, he could see deep into the heart of the city and spotted the roof of its largest hospital.
"I see a place that we could start at... a hospital. Definitely a good way of finding someone is to find if they've ever been admitted as a patient, and that sort of information is accessible at nearly any manner of medical building. The only problem now is, how to persuade them into letting me view such information. Well, wish me luck."

Note: Due to SwingBlade not being around and that I'm not sure that Bulbs can stay in this, I am letting this be open for whoever would like to join in. I'm very eager for this story to get far, especially in order to have fun using the information on the Nintaku that I've finally compiled down on paper (jeez... took me 9 years to get it polished and perfected; oh well, taking such a long time has allowed me to get better ideas over time in order to make it even cooler than how I started back in 1999 - like one very important thing: The source of a Nintaku's power is their 'chakra', and using too much of it can cause severe heart problems or outright kill a person.). Since the whole bit with SwingBlade isn't really able to continue, I'll get things going again with Jiyuu and his adventure in Viridian City General Hospital...
Realizing he'd need a good reason to get into the hospital, Jiyuu asked Shinzohkatta for advice on what he should do. In its mind, the jagged-edged sword got a fiendish idea and wondered if this boy would be foolish enough to go along with it. His snakelike voice entering Jiyuu's mind, the sword replied to him:
"You need to become a patient. Then, after all the hubbub and chaos has been worked out and you're in a room of your own, you can go exploring and seceretly find the information we need. The only problem is... what you need to do to be admitted."
Jiyuu: "Well, what is it? I'm willing to do whatever it takes to hunt down our prey and exact our revenge. Tell me, Shinzohkatta."
Shinzohkatta: "Plunge me into your chest. I will use my magic to not pierce your heart but merely rest dangerously close to it, and also make sure that you don't bleed that much from the wound. Don't be afraid... you'll be safe aside from feeling some pain. If you think that you can bear it, then hurry and thrust my blade in - then you can walk into the emergency room to get help."
The young Nintaku was doubtful that this was a good plan, but seeing no better alternative, decided he'd be brave and go along with the sword's bizarre (and painful) idea. Taking it into his hands and holding it before himself, Jiyuu worried if he was doing the right thing and of how much this was going to hurt. *STAB* With a mighty thrust, he shoved the sword into his chest and stood there a few minutes, stunned from the shock while a steady trickle of blood began to run along the sword and stain his hands as well as drip onto the ground. Keeping his breathing a bit shallow, he got rather weirded out as he could feel his heartbeat through the now rhythmicly quivering handle of the sword. Remembering what he needed to do, poor Jiyuu made his way in through the front doors of Viridian City General Hospital's ER and loudly called out for help. The nurses and doctors nearby were greatly startled to see him and freaked when they saw the sword in his chest... dripping and making a tiny puddle on the floor. Wearily having his eyes closed a little, he watched as they rushed to his aid and did their best to immediately get him into an operating room to have the sword removed without killing him.
In his mind: "Shinzohkatta, I sure hope you know what you're doing.
