Some of you must already be familiar with TV Tropes, one of the most shamelessly addictive websites on the internet. (I know Lee is, because he introduced it to me.) Well, I don't need to blather on about the purpose of this topic because I think a perfunctory glance around that website ought to be enough to clue you in on what I'm thinking. By "perfunctory glance around" I obviously meant "three-hour exploration of". And good luck trying to prove me wrong. Moved.

Y'know, I was actually considering putting up an entry on TV Tropes for ORP, considering it has ten years of continuity now and such. And if we have a dozen of us unified in supporting its validity, it should hold. Not sure if we could Entry Pimp it, but... I could go all day just with five man bands. Kaida: Hero: Masumi Lancer: Achenes Chick: Genivieve (Sp?) Big Guy: Rhometer (Kinda) Smart Guy: Higgledy Piggledy Chords: Hero: Helen Lancer: Rie Chick: Terrian/Damien Smart Guy: Terrian/Damien Big Guy: Prime Summoner Style: Hero: Miko Lancer: Yoshimitsu/Rick (One's a post-rivalry lancer, the other is still in rivalry) Chick: Issabelle/Vathale Smart Guy: Mia/Celestia Big Guy: Joseph/Hector Shattered: Main: Zebedee Lancer: Emily Chick: Yamarie Smart Guy: Sly Big Guy: Shant Triannual: Hero: Natalie Lancer: Terrian Chick: Garth/Emily Smart Guy: Sly/Ender Big Guy: Valon/Dracon Prime doesn't quite fit any spot, really. Kinda odd, but it's been known to happen. The Main Cherrygrove Alliance, staple characters only: Hero: Zebedee Lancer: Ender/Natalie Chick: Thyra Smart Guy: Sly Big Guy: Valon At least, I think that's how it typically goes. It's somewhat a matter of opinion on who fills what role, but generally: Hero=Main Role Lancer=Cooler, Slightly more amoral counter to the Hero. Often a rival. Chick=The weakest/least combative individual in a group, often a healer. Smart Guy=Provides exposition, does sciency stuff, likes big words. Big Guy=Physically powerful, generally sweet. Is often either somewhat dumb, or very clever. As for other ones: New Powers as the Plot Demands-Various. Often a bad sign, though sometimes it works out. Xanatos Gambit- Multiple, mainly by my villains. Two have yet to be unveiled, but GNR is a good example. George plays the pilots into leading him into a situation where he can capture a good number of mecha in one go. Magnificent Bastard-George again, who freely admits it. Batman Gambit-And now I'm done with George's tropes. He does this one in Shattered, allowing him to steal an incredibly powerful weapon. I'll do more later on.

Also, when did I introduce you to it? Forgive me for spreading the digital, genre savvy plague.

Terrian and Damien in Chords... One of these two has the flash of out-of-the-box insight that is shooting Blaise's uplink. The other one does nothing. Which one sounds like The Smart Guy and which one sounds like The Chick? Rhometer is more The Tagalong Kid in Kaida, I think. And everywhere else. Although I get what you were going for with the reality-bending powers and all that. I don't remember how you got me hooked on TV Tropes. I think you -- I know what it was. During V101's "V101 for Admin" campaign, you pegged her as a Left Fielder.

Rie can shapeshift.
I think Vieve also qualifies for "I am actually 700 years old" except even I don't know her age.

I should hunt you Lee, until we progress enough in triannual to get Prime killed/get him powers, so I can use him, if only hanging on the EDGE, in mid level topics. (Mid to high tier taking up 50% of the topics on the board. Lol.) I think Zabuza is up for a topic now to, that battle topic just kept pushing him and pushing him. And I like the ways he's gone, and it has taken quite a while. Not in his time obviously, but in real time.
I think at the moment, he could EASILY beat the crap out of Prime, my supposed heavy hitter and main character. x.x

I'd also like to say that Thyra is a decent fit for the Woobie, though she keeps struggling to veer into Pollyanna.
Doomed Hometown: Slateport.
Sadly Mythtaken: About eighty five percent of the time myths appear, if not more.
Green Lantern Ring: Zebedee/George/Karine/Mark's 'Angel Feathers'.
Barrier Warrior: Thyra
Wave Motion Gun: There's been a few of these in Ghosts and Rust.

All suggestions are appreciated, of course. But suggestions that also include links to the relevant articles are appreciated even more.
Like twice as much at least.

Thyra probably falls under Meganekko, too. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MeganekkoMassive Multiplayer Crossover: We've got Pokemon, Saiyans, Andalites, Nokis, and Burmecians, just off the top of my head. Also note that an upcoming RP will be doing this between various RP continuities on top of this. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MassiveMultiplayerCrossoverAuthors can not do Math: Fishsticks, where I accidentally counted our group short. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WritersCannotDoMathMade of Iron: EVERYWHERE. Best fitting for the terms laid out would probably be Joseph, who gets by on zero actual training and still toughs through all sorts of stough that should kill him. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MadeOfIronWeapons Kitchen Sink: In my cast alone, we've got: Falchion, Tennis Racquet, Urumi, Battleaxe, Spear, Kris, Sling, Hatchet, Broadsword, Shotgun, Fencing Sabre, Briefcase, and a barrel of fisticuffs. Throw in one or two more authors and things get ugly. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WeaponsKitchenSinkWell, that's my finds so far tonight. Maybe more tomorrow...

Actually, a better example of Canaon Immigrants are Aquara and Emily, both of whom actualy originated in that Story Weaver RP thing. (for bonus points, that universe was quite possibly also the universe of In a Moment. And Emily was black, and had a grim, cynical personality. The only difference in Aquara was that she had longer hair, IIRC. My character, Olaf Hamilton, VCR Repairman, has yet to surface, though some aspects became Isambard.)

That thing that I've tried to start multiple times but can only get two of the wanted three players for. The thing that had a skin dedicated to it, but was removed for overlap? The thing that Kevin and I have referenced repeatedly? The setting for the story that Clicker and I are working on as well? (Which, even more brain rapingly, puts In A Moment and Aquara in OUR universe.) So yeah... Here's the banner, to refresh your memory a hair. img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/LeeTupper/Yes.bmp

tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BoobsOfSteelKevin... Just Kevin. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VacuumHurricaneKickAchenes and Aquara run on this... Which makes fighting Prime... complicated. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CuteBruiserAchenes VERY muchly so. Though not superhumanly strong, she's implied to be capable of throwing grown men around with brute strength despite being under five feet tall. Yeah, see previous entry. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CloudcuckoolanderHow does Rhometer not wear this title yet? tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BladeOnAStickAlbatross is most notable, though there's a few others. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LadyOfWarMasumi, Flora Isobel. Masumi and Achenes form the Lady of War/Cute Bruiser dynamic mentioned. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HeyYouNat and Achenes have a tendency to do this. Terrian does so only in his internal dialogue. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GlowingEyesOfDoomBasilisk, Aquara, Miko, and quite a few others. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilEyeBasilisk and Rain. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheKrillinStray had a vicious case of this in the first time through APCARP. Despite having a power that could be feasibly useful, everything she could do could be done more quickly and cleanly by everybody else on the team, including the rookie. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MostCommonSuperpowerAnywho, moving onwards... tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LimitedWardrobeRhometer and Miko are both inflicted with this, despite the fact that both should change up outfits frequently. (Miko's had five "outfits" in the past seven years or so.) tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OutdatedOutfitOne of Steph's favorite design quirks..

I really don't think this should be on the second page. I'm bumping it with my trunk.
Just hit "random item" on the main page and go from there. See what you turn up.

But if I write somn up, do I qualify as a writer that cannot do math?

He's wondering if he counts as a writer that cannot do math by virtue of being a writer and being unable to do math.
Sorry, buddy, but it needs to show up IN an RP to have that effect.
