Planets? forteHolder's planet is the Land of Mist and Marshes, a fetid swathe of bogs, swamps and fens. Moss dangles limply from the gnarled branches of the trees. The terrain is often broken up by tracts of wetlands overgrown with reeds, impassable except by boat. The greenish fog that hangs constantly in the air obscures visibility and forces reliance on hearing. The sun attempting to press in overhead projects three-dimensional shadows in the mist. It's an environment that provides ample hiding spaces, which the CLAY IMPS, MUCK OGRES and other enemies of this land are only too happy to take advantage of. forteHolder is kind of pissed that he wound up on such a sucky planet. Although he'll admit it might be almost tolerable if he'd thought to alchemize up a nice pair of impermeable socks before heading out of the house.

Though not a CGI image, I saw it and it was too sweet to pass up. prismaticFashionista's planet is the Land of Frost and Twilight. The land is in an eternal state of twilight, with both a moon and sun showing but neither budging in the sky, and the sky itself a colour between blue and purple. It is unclear whether it is nearing dawn or dusk, though neither will really happen anyway. The land is covered in frost, some parts in snow and some covered in thick ice. With the light beaming down, prismaticFashionista is glad that he has sunglasses because it would be all kinds of bright with the reflections on the snow. Sunglasses, classy and functional. All things considered, despite the chill, the CHILLY IMPS and FROZEN OGRES and the slippy ground, prismaticFashionista kinda likes it.

wartimeStrategist finds himself transported to the Land of Time and Thunder. This world is constantly overhung by black, swirling clouds that never vanish. They seem to strike just about everywhere on the planet, and can definitely strike the same place twice if given enough time. The only places it won't strike are the boxes of temporal distortion scattered across the landscape. These boxes range in color from black to white, but no true white nor black exists. The lighter the grey it is, the faster time travels within the box, thus making time outside the box move more slowly. However, darker boxes contain slower time frames, where the outsides travel faster. These boxes do not affect the world around them, only the world that is contained inside of them. wartimeStrategist understands the concepts rather nicely, and can also rather easily tell which box does which. The only real downside? You can't sneak up on an enemy in a white box. The counter to that? Temporal Distortion fields are rare to come by. It can tire someone out to be constantly dodging lightning and temporal distortions, but wartimeStrategist has it all planned out.

Heehee. The Land of Rifts and Nightfall used to be a blinding emerald world, bathed in the full glow of Skaia. Then the Denizen arrived, created a moon to serve as his palace, and now it blocks out the light of Skaia completely. obfuscatedBrilliance arrives here, finding out to his dismay that the once green fields have been drained of all their colour. All the plant life now exhibits white foliage, a side effect of the lack of light. Draped in a permanent midnight, the Land of Rifts and Nightfall makes for treacherous terrain; the aforementioned rifts mean travellers have to be sure of their step or risk instant death. The Denizen's minions around this area include CHALK IMPS, CHARCOAL ORGES and FLINT BASILISKS(pictured). I'm well aware the picture shows snow and ice, but the only area I could find with eclipses is Xarc, and that's perma-snow. Deal with it. ;] Also, oB in Hero Mode:

coruscatingRainbow's planet happens to be the Land of Iridescence and Treetops, a land covered in flora, and the occasional fauna, although the Woodland Imps and Trunk Ogres have driven the majority away. Towering over this natural labyrinth are many trees whose mighty branches blot out the sun in places, with usually a rare clearing containing light. It gets a bit damp within the forests, so these lights sometimes get reflected by puddles, which can lead to another clear, polished, surface. This causes a chain that allows sunlight to reach even the dankest areas. coruscatingRainbow thinks this is beautiful and pretty, as the light refracts many shiny colors onto different places. She's also pretty sure there are some type of inhabitants here, but they all seem to be missing, or perhaps behind that large gate she can just make out from her house, which is perched upon a tree. coruscatingRainbow just can't shake the feeling she's being watched...~

wartimeStrategist finds himself transported to the Land of Time and Thunder. Oh good. I'm glad one of us is staking a claim on purveying some time shenanigans. That ought to make this way more complicated and fun. On the subject, let's talk titles next. You know, the titles like Heir of Breath, Seer of Light, Knight of Time, Witch of Space? Page of Breath, Seer of Mind, Knight of Blood, Maid of Time? You know, those ones? I think in keeping with forteHolder's toxic theme so far, his title will be the Duke of Decay.

This image hidden for hugeness. chakraHammer's planet is the Land of Tides and Seas. This pristine world is only 26% landmass, with the rest being covered in endless azure water, calm and glittering. The shores are tranquil and immaculately white, the sands warm to the touch, pillowy and inviting. The sun beams down in the afternoon sky, clear and bright, affording an unobstructed view of the ocean-borne horizon that stretches for miles. Though it may seem a paradise, the inner rifts of the island chains hold TIDAL IMPS and SHORE OGRES, neither of which intend to offer chakraHammer a mai-tai and diced pineapple. chakraHammer thinks he struck gold with this planet - not only does it offer a perfect environment to practice his Zen, it's the best growing conditions for his crop. chakraHammer's title is Highness of Highness.

Yeah. El roped me into this too. Direct all your deaththreats at him. Though he's going to dodge them anyway. Your CHUMHANDLE is biomechArtisan - which defines you pretty well. You've always been a creative artistic sort, which takes up a few of your central fields of interest: DRAWING, WRITING and MUSIC - most of which tie into a central love of WORLDBUILDING. The 'Biomech' part is pretty self explanatory - being a huge BIOLOGY geek with a SCI-FI edge lead you to take great interest in esoteric ALTERNATIVE BIOLOGY and BIOMECHANICS. Many of your drawings seem to draw upon aspects of the biomechanical - and you honestly don't care if some people are creeped out by what your art does to otherwise ADORABLE, MARKETABLE CRITTERS. Your FETCH MODUS of choice is the TABLET MODUS, which combines your appreciation for simple, efficient functionality and your creative side - while normally it functions like the more common ARRAY MODUS, allowing you to draw any item you may have CAPTCHALOGUED at any time - but you may also retrieve an item by drawing it - or create ghost imprints of items on blank CAPTCHALOGUE CARDS. Of course, this may seem like a completely pointless feature, but you've always suspected that it may come in handy through some CONTRIVED SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES or another. You're very fond of it, anyway. Your internet browser of choice is ANDRAS. You always wondered why are there so many different browsers with essentially the same functionality but a different VAGUELY MYTHOLOGICAL MASCOT. You eventually just picked one with an ICON you liked. Can't go wrong with OWLS. In accordance with his affinities, his element is Biomechanics - and his title is the Synchronizer of Living Metal. His planet, the Land of Synthesis and Equilibrium, shall be elaborated on when I'm NOT half asleep. >>;

Our dear wartimeStrategist finds himself with the strange title of Page of Continuity, most likely a shout out to his world, the Land of Time and Thunder. He thinks it's rather fitting, to be honest.
I don't know if biomechArtisan noticed this, but that makes his Pesterlog abbreviation BA.
Just saying.

You're quite positive that you've always been green, that your virescence is undeniable and that any evidence to the contrary may just be the work of a mass OPTICAL ILLUSION, or of your TWISTED CONVOLUTED IMAGINATION. You don't mind the careless DELUSION though. After all, It's not easy being green.
biomechArtisan is, of course, aware of his CHUMHANDLE abbreviating to BA. As such, he PITIES DA FOO.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have themes to their literal elements? Y'know, like Rose has Chalk/Marble/Whatever and John has Crude (Oil and stuff)?
I'm thinking Diamonds will definitely be part of The Land of Frost and Twilight[/b] 'cause that makes sense mostly, but I'm not sure. Anyone else got ideas as far as that goes?

Yeah, I'm going with Clay. I think I mentioned Clay Imps in the Land of Mist and Marshes earlier. The other enemies are all based on clay/mud/soil variants.

No picture yet. DEAL with it.
The Land of Synthesis and Equilibrium is - or rather was - an unusual phenomenon in which life evolved as an intermeshed blend of organic and mechanical. Initially covered in vast forests of tree-like organomechanical 'Hub' constructs forming great neural networks across the planet, great rivers with crystalline beds and waterfalls, tapped naturally by the roots of special 'power plants' to generate a form of hydro-electric power as their 'leaves' absorb sunlight and wind power to generate further energy, spread across synaptic nodes to all other lifeforms - which still posessed a food chain (minerals and other such resources were still needed).
This fusion of Metal and Flesh fused together in perfect balance was made possible through Syncrystal, a radiant crystalline material that served as an energetic junction between the organic and mechanical components, coordinating them.
The Denizen's arrival changed all that - seeing the potential uses of Syncrystal to create minions that could be coordinated more efficiently, the Denizen shattered the delicate balance of the organic and the mechanical and claimed the Syncrystal that used to be a natural part of their structure to create his bizarre Core Imps, Bismuth Ogres and Fusion Basilisks. The Land of Synthesis and Equilibrium is now torn into two halves - one part purely mechanical, the other purely organic - and both halves are trying to overpower each other and consume the world entirely.
The organic half is in a state of wild outgrowth, the food chain unable to keep up with the rate of expansion. Strange, misshapen formations of integrated plant and animal material burst out of the ground periodically, grow to impressive altitudes, ambushing unwary travelers and other creatures - which may or may not be biological terrors.
The machine half on the other hand seems to be covered in metal, generators, tubes, conduits and metallic factory-towers dominating the view. The metallic creatures as very minimalistically designed and horribly efficient at transforming the land around them.
So far the two halves are in a stalemate - where the machines expand they scythe the area clean of life but when the organic outgrowth blankets an area, it chokes up and destroys all machinery. As such the planet is in an eternal state of flux - still maintaining a strange form of dynamic equilibrium since. However, the environment of the world is slowly beginning to deteriorate - and if the two sides are not rebalanced soon, bad things will happen.
And biomechArtisan is apparently the guy for the job. Assuming he can survive the local fauna, that is!
(Also, it's pretty much obvious that his associated object is Crystals.)

Another important question is, do we want Guardians?
I'm actually not really sure about this one. Since my character is such a straightforward self-insert (and I can tell he's not the only one), I'm not really too chuffed about the idea of featuring a vaguely antagonistic relationship with one of my family members. (Although a SIS to whose levels of artistic talent I strive in vain would be appropriate.)
What do you guys think? Guardians or no?
